Week One | Brownie Motto We learned about our "Motto" by creating a beaded broom fridge magnet that said "Lend A Hand." (See craft section for instructions. Brownies used it to attach lend a hand charts to the fridge. We played Motto songs & games. | |||
Week Three | Brownie
Law We discussed the Brownie Law and made
first aid kits out of film canisters and a sit-upon by
wrapping newspaper in a garbage bag, taping it and
decorating. We needed these items to take on an upcoming
trip. We played our popular "What's
Our Law Wise Owl?" Game. (See Games section for

Week Four | Outdoor
Adventure We earned our Outdoor Exploring Outlook
at the Royal Botanical Gardens. After our adventure we
ate hotdogs that parent helpers had roasted over the fire
and then the Brownies roasted marshmallows.![]() |

Week Five | We
Found Out What Circle We Were In!
2nd Year Brownies taught 1st Year Brownies the Sign & Handshake & Tie. We did Dances & Songs to help us practice. |

Week Six | We met on Wed. this week due to holiday and made a promise book to help us learn our promise. We began our "Creating & Performing" Outlook work by PRACTICING songs for performance on Oct. 26. We also discussed our upcoming camp. | |||
Week Seven | We talked some more about the Promise and make Halloween cards to take to Seniors. We practiced for our performance. | |||
Week Eight | We did a good turn for the Seniors at
Macassa Lodge. We visited them IN COSTUME, bringing some
Brownie Halloween magic and home made treats & cards
to share with them. The residents really enjoyed seeing
the girls in costume and hearing their songs etc. Parents/Grandparents also attended and watched the show! |

Week Nine | HOME DEPOT
TRIP
We proved that "Yes Girls Can" build
things! Began work on our Today & Tomorrow Special Interest Outlook and found out about tools and built bird feeders! This was an excellent trip which we strongly recommend to other units. Some of our parents attended a PARENTS MEETING. |

Week Ten | We Discussed Cookie Selling Safety & Practiced for Enrollment next week. The second year Brownies decorated gift bags and put a few enrollment tokens such as bookmark, Brownie sticker etc. in bags for next week. | |||
BROWNIES WERE BUSY LENDING A HAND SELLING COOKIES for our group. We sold 1200 boxes of cookies! Thank you to everyone that participated! | ||||
Week Eleven | Enrollment Night. Our new girls become "Real Brownies" and treats were supplied by Brownies being enrolled. Our Parent Committee served tea/coffee/juice. Cookie selling prizes were given out. | |||
Week Twelve | We

Week Thirteen | WE WORKED ON ONCE AGAIN LENDING A HAND in the Community: We made cute little Xmas Mouse Candy Canes for Meals on Wheels Program. | |||
Week Fourteen | Each Brownie either brought in something their
family uses in a celebration or for a holiday or they
came prepared to tell each other how their family
celebrates the holidays. We made a Joy 3-D Wall Hanging
Craft We also discussed telephone manners. |

WINTER ADVENTURE OUTLOOK We rented Canterbury Hills for some Outdoor Fun, tobogganing, building forts, and looking for animal tracks. We had a snack inside in-between and learned about winter safety in the community. |

Week 21 | Our grade two Brownies
had fun learning about Canada and our grade three
Brownies learned about the World Centres. We made our World Friendship Banks and learned where the money would go. |

Week 22 | BROWNIES
AROUND THE WORLD NIGHT We finished our World Friendship Outlook by reading letters from US Brownies and finding out about their "Try Its" and pins, uniforms and cookies! Lots of fun for all! |

Thinking
Day Church Parade. We
met at Church in uniform and took part in a special ceremony with other groups from our district. We took part in the "The Magic Necklace" story. We stayed for refreshments. |

Week 23 | HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORD
& LADY BADEN POWELL PARTY! WE WORE OUR UNIFORMS TO SCHOOL TODAY TO SHOW HOW PROUD WE ARE!

We took part in a Hamilton Area
Guiding Skate at Lawfield Arena and no one in our group got hurt! Thank you, thank you, thank you! |

Week 24 | Our Seniors (grade 3 and up) visited a local Fire
Station and had lots of fun learning about fire safety. Our Juniors (grade 2) stayed back and worked on their "Food Fun" outlook and Today and Tomorrow window. |

Week 25 | Our Grade two Brownies worked on Healthy Habits. Our Grade three and up Brownies came the next day. | ||
Week 26 | Our Grade
three and up Brownies came tonight instead TO VISIT WITH THE 72ND We had so much fun learning about the songs, games, and crafts Girl Guides do. Some parents also attended and a good time was had by all!. Many Brownies who were not too sure about going to Guides quickly changed their minds.....THEY WANT TO GO ON TO THE FUN & CHALLENGE OF GIRL GUIDES! |

Week 27 | Our grade two Brownies went on a
Neighbourhood Walk to look for "nature in the
city" The grade three Brownies learned about the compass. Afterwards the grade three Brownies helped the grade two find compass points in a fun, action compass game we played. |

Week 28 | GRADE 3 &
UP BROWNIES MET AT LAWFIELD ARENA COMMUNITY ROOM and Visited the Lawfield Guide Group. The grade 2 Brownies had fun learning how to juggle and sing new songs. |

Week 29 | GUIDING
CELEBRATION! ![]() Sparks, Brownies, Guides, Pathfinders, Rangers, Jr. Leaders, Leaders and a Trefoil Guild!? we decided to have a huge party for everyone who is in Guiding here. |

Week 30 | Grade Two Brownies made up games to
finish opening their Window on Today & Tomorrow Grade Three Brownies learned about Brian Darcy, a local artist and played a "Careers Game" to finish widening their Window on Today and Tomorrow. |
||
We went to the Hunter Division Brownie
Revel.
OVER 200 Brownies participated. We
learned a new dance and new songs and did drama. We made a Prairie Prayer Doll which was a real hit with the Brownies. All that fun and we earned our Tall Peaks Challenge too! |

Week 31 | Brownies made sparkle globes to give
their guest at the Gal's Night Out. Some of the Brownies brought in badge work they did at home and were tested for Outlooks. We sang one of the songs we learned at the Brownie Revel and many of the girls finished earning their windows. |
||
Week 32 | ![]() in some Western Fun...put on by our parent's committee. First we made beads out of wrapping paper we cut into strips , dipped in glue and wrapped around a straw. Later we danced and had some yummy treats! Mom's and gals got their picture taken under the "WANTED" poster. |
||
Spring Cookie Campaign. We sold 1,320 boxes of cookies.....and could have sold more! Wow are we ever good! | |||
Week 33 | We had a couple of Guides visit us and
teach the Grade three Brownies some Guide songs. We
looked through the Guide Program Book and compared Guides
badges to Brownie Outlooks. The Grade Two Brownies learned their poems for year end and did some cheerleading to practice for parade. |
||
Week 34 | Our Grade Two Brownies made
invitations for Sparks to come visit us and discussed how
we should behave next week and how we should be very friendly when the Sparks come. We reviewed what the different Outlooks we had earned were. Our Grade Three Brownies made pizza and a drink for all to share...YUMMY! |

BIKE RODEO: Our parent committee has arranged for a
bike rodeo with the Police Department. Brownies bring your helmet & bike and earn your Brownie Cyclist Outlook! |

Week 35 | All Practice for Parade from 6:00 -
6:30 Grade Three Brownies making a Girl Guide craft and preparing for advancement ceremony downstairs from 6:30 - 8 Grade Two Brownies teaching Sparks about Brownies from 6:30 - 8. |

NO BROWNIES. VICTORIA DAY | |||
Guide/Scout Parade:
Come join in the largest youth parade in the world! Bus
leaves at 8:45 sharp!Afterwards we picnic with the
Sparks, Guides, Pathfinders and Rangers. We'll be singing and
cheerleading as we march along.....come join in the fun! |
