HOLIDAY GAME

You Pick The Holiday or Non-Holiday....it works either way!

Our Brownies LOVE to play this game and it is a great way to review what you've been teaching them at meetings and camp. It can be adapted for any holiday or non-holiday. Have fun....they love it!

Before your meeting you will need approximately 24 snap together ornaments such as eggs around Easter, or plastic Christmas decorations around Christmas or something similar to what small prizes come in from a bubble gum machine.

What we do is place a different question about the Brownie Program in each ornament (see samples at bottom of page) with a # of points listed beside the question. We give more points for harder questions and make sure that the questions are all things we have covered that year during meetings. In one of the ornaments we don't put a question but rather place a sticker or picture relevant to the holiday such as an Easter Bunny or Witch or Santa. We then place the ornaments in something appropriate to the holiday. For example an easter basket if eggs, a witches pot if Halloween, a Santa Sack if Christmas.

We divide the Brownies in to two teams and place a large piece of paper on the wall for each team. A leader is the score keeper.

RULES: One Brownie from each team comes up and takes an ornament and opens it up. She reads her question out loud (sometimes she chooses to have a Leader read it out). If she answers it correctly her team wins the amount of points listed. If she answers it wrong the other team can try and answer it for half the points listed. If she chooses not to answer because she isn't sure she can pick one team mate to try and answer it. After the two Brownies have taken their turn the next two come up and so on until everyone has had a turn. If a Brownie picks the ornament with the sticker or picture their points are automatically doubled what the total is at that time. At the end, the team with the most points wins, but really everyone does because the review has been great!

Some sample questions are below. Feel free to print or make up your own. Remember, it isn't fair to have questions you haven't covered yet. The questions below were all things our Brownies had covered from September to March this year.
