David's Surgery Drawings
These drawings were done by Susan Hall, wife of surgeon, Dale Hall. She drew these pictures, looking over Dr. Hall's shoulder
while he performed David's corrective surgery. We are quite amazed by Susan's talent and think of these as a wonderful gift.
This shows David's heart just before surgery and where the incisions would be made
This shows the pulmonary valve at 6mm and how it was incised to open it up to 10mm. Also shows the obstructive muscle bundles that were removed.
This picture shows the muscle bundles and once they were removed, how the VSD was visible. The VSD was closed using a dacron patch.
This is the final picture showing the closure of the pulmonary artery with a pericardial patch and the closure of the right atrium and PFO.
