Note to the reader: I rate this story PG-13. There's some incidental nudity and some curse words. It's not like I made it hentai or anything (although that might be an idea for my next story [if I ever write another] ). This story may be confusing to those of you who have become accustomed to writing, reading, and seeing Seiya as a "he". In this story Seiya remains female 90% of the time. If you have any fanmail or flames, send them on through. I love getting any e-mail. It's like my birthday or something. 8) (my e-mail: cheesier@hotmail.com ) I'm not a very good author, so take that into consideration. But I did have a lot of fun writing this. Inspiration tends to hit me after I haven't slept for 3 days. Enjoie, mes cheries. A Thousand Light Years By Katherine Fenby PROLOGUE "Seiya!!!", Usagi cried as Seiya looked on helplessly. "Usagi-chan...," he said slowly watching her struggling to get lose of the ropes that held her tightly 500 feet above the ground. Her tears fell hard and quick to the ground below her. His feet were frozen to the ground; he could do nothing to help her. He glanced around quickly, looking for anything that could help him in his desperate attempt to rescue her. He looked up at Usagi again and both their blue eyes met. They held that gaze for what seemed an eternity, looking deep into each others' souls. He heard someone chuckling in the distance and broke the glance that interlaced their hearts to look up where the ropes were fastened. There was a shadowy figure standing on the platform with deep blue eyes, much like his own. He watched and anger bellowed throughout him, as the figure's black cape flapped in the wind. It was lined with a deep red velvet, the colour of blood, which was obviously what he wanted from Usagi. The figure raised a white gloved hand and Seiya noticed a familiar red rose that it grasped. With a cold, lopsided smirk, the figure flicked it's wrist tossing the rose like a dart, directly towards the ropes. In a blink, Seiya heard the ropes snap and a long high-pitched scream from Usagi's direction. He opened his eyes and turned his head quickly towards Usagi, in time only to see her plumetting limply towards the cement as if in slow motion. Suddenly his feet began to move and he ran towards where she was falling. He winced as he felt a sharp pain strike in his side, "No... I don't need to get a cramp now...", he thought, "Just like in football.. keep on running... you've got to make this touchdown, Seiya..." He put his hand on the spot where the pain had struck and was shocked when he felt the velvet of petals. He stumbled and stopped looking towards the source of pain. There was a rose deeply embedded into his skin. He quickly noticed all the flesh rotting around it, working in an outwards spiral, soon to encompass his whole body. He looked up at the figure, and saw it become more clear. The figure was indeed a man, and he was wearing a pressed tuxedo, as clean as the conscience of the man who wore it. Seiya narrowed his eyes and began running as fast as his legs could carry him again towards Usagi, "Don't think you can get away with this, you bastard..." Usagi was nearing the ground at a faster pace. Deep down inside, Seiya knew he couldn't make it in time to save her, but he tried in vain to get to her. Seiya closed his eyes and screamed as he dove for her, milliseconds before she hit the ground, "No Usagi-chan! I love you!" She swung her head towards him and cried, "I love you t-..." just before her frail body shattered as she hit the ground.
