My Review On The Book
Searching For Dragons
By Patrica C. Wrede
I give this book five stars also because it is one of my favorite books, and it is very well written. If you read the first book you have to read the second. This adventure filled book will lead you to far away places of magic, love, and fairy tales.
Mendanbar, the King of the Enchanted Forest has had it! He is tired
of being lectured by his steward Willin, read long list of whats to be
done, and being pestered by Willin to get married. He decides to take a
day off. He walks of into the forest to find his favorite spot when he
stumbles into a lost princess, a talking squirrel, and a chunk of burned
out forest. After seeking advice from the witch Morwen, he sets out to
talk to Kuzal, the King of the Dragons. He try's to avoid the dragons princess,
because he thinks all princesses are silly, dimwitted, brainless idiots.
But when he gets to Kuzal's cave and meets Cimorene he changes his mind.
Cimorene is not like a princess at all. He finds her a rather interesting
person to have around. That's good because Kuzal has been captured by those
evil wizards and they set out to find her. They borrow a defective magic
carpet and start out to find her. While looking they run into rock snakes,
a magician, a dwarf, a giant, and lots of wizards. Mendanbar and Cimorene
are great adventures at heart, and there story is a great adventure to
read.
