Either go straight to complain or read why we feel you should be complaining... it's up to you. I don't care, as long as you complain.

Why do we feel the BBC are being unreasonable?

Censorship

I'm sure the BBC feel that they are in the right. And a few other people probably believe so too. Legally they probably are. I have censored my page for that reason and for the point that I have obviously caused some offence to the BBC, which was never my intention.

The question is, why do the BBC mind about our Teletubby pages? They have given the reason of copyright infringement, but should this really bother them too much, as our pages are more likely to encourage people to watch the show than discourage them. Also, it seems strange that Teletubbies has been targeted and not the hundreds of other BBC programs, whose copyright is infringed on the net every day . . . (although I guess they could be next)

What do the BBC hope to gain from taking this line of action? The way I see it, our pages are there as a service to the public. They are non profit making and generally light hearted. Thousands of people visited our pages, many of whom probably watch Teletubbies as a result. I am trying to change my page right now to avoid copyright, but ask the BBC to reconsider and to drop the threat of legal action, or at least just lay down some limited ground rules to what they will accept - such as warnings to parents, not to allow young children onto the more adult orientated pages.

Bye-Bye Tinky Winky

If you've been asleep since July, you missed the dismissal of Tinky Winky from the Teletubbies. No-one can deny that Tinky Winky was completely homosexual. I feel that this was no bad thing. Whilst I am hetero, I get really pissed off with homophobia and felt that this program give across some really good none homophobic vibes, man. I believe the main reason for his being fired, was portraying a character loved by children as being gay. He was an excellent actor and my sympathies are with him. Please save Tinky Winky's job

Your Chance to Make a Difference

Please send an email, with the following details: Your full name and email address, what you're complaining about (Censorship, Tinky Winky or Both) and any other comments you wish to make.
