2000 Season

Our two new teams are the Vipers, owned by Chris Gallagher, and the People's Team, owned by George Alonso.

The Expansion/New Team Draft took place on Saturday, March 25. George won the "coin toss", and picked first. The results are as follows:

Proposal for 2000
Don of the Razmataz has a proposal about the transaction problem we had last season. Let us know what you think.

Proposal
I have a proposal to eliminate the problem we had last year and get rid of the 8 am timeline...

To go in for a new player, the first day he can be claimed is the day after his first at bat (walks and pinch running dont count) or if a pitcher first 1/3 inning recorded. Then we can go back to midnight deadline and there won't be any controversy since everyone can check the box score.. end of proposal

Sounds good to me. I think it would be even easier to just have it be that a person is eligible the day after he appeared in a game. This would include walks, hit by pitch, and late-inning defensive replacements and pinch runners. Pitchers would be included if they threw a pitch but did not record an out. This can be evidenced by the boxscore.

Printable Stat Reports for 2000
This season I will attempt to provide the weekly stat report in "rich text format". This should be easily accessed by most word processing programs (Word, WordPerfect, etc.) and can be printed easily. Try it by downloading the 1999 final stat report.
