1992 CJRL CHAMPIONS!

DNTS

DNTs photoThe DNTs, now owned solely by Debbie Streckenbein, completed a "three-peat" by winning the CJRL championship for the third straight year! This time it was without co-founder Larry Johnson, who left to form the Terminators.

The DNTs were able to once again ride on the backs of their power hitters: Will Clark, Andres Galarraga, Ryne Sandberg, and Howard Johnson. The pitching core was also mainly intact from the previous year: Tim Belcher, Tom Glavine, Randy Myers, and Mark Wohlers. It was a strong year for the DNTs as Streckenbein's crew outlasted her mom, Arlene Foulks and her Foulks' Follies, 57 to 50.5.

That championship season began with a rift between co-owners Streckenbein and current Terminators owner Larry Johnson. In pre-season planning, Johnson did not want to keep Andres Galarraga on the team payroll, but Streckenbein insisted the "Big Cat" remain a DNT. Words were exchanged, and in the end Johnson left to form an expansion team called the Terminators.

The DNTs had a very solid team, and were strong in most categories. They led the CJRL in WHIP and wins, and came in second in homeruns and saves. The following is the DNTs ending roster for the 1992 season:
