Melvin Thomas laced his team-high 23 points with 20 boards as Sydney used two overtime periods to prevail against Canberra and move to within a half game of the top six. Isaac Burton added 19 points and 11 assists for the Kings, while Robert Rose charted 31 points, three assists and nine rebounds for the Cannons. Steven Whitehead completed his best game in Sydney uniform to finish with 18 points, on 4-for-7 shooting from three-point range and collect eight rebounds.
