Sydney's defence held Rob Rose and Mario Donaldson to a combined 30 points en route to spanking the Cannons. Melvin Thomas charted a team-high 22 points for the Kings while Steven Whitehead had one of his best games for the season to finish with 19 points. Troy Pilon led all Canberra scorers with 17 points.
