Sam Mackinnon tallied a career-high 32 points, three blocks and seven boards as the Magic overcame a Perth unit missing Andrew Vlahov. Perth was led by James Crawford, who finished with 25 points, while Ricky Grace and Anthony Stewart both charted 19-point games. Still, it was the Magic that won, even though they were out-shot 51-41 per cent from the floor and 39-35 per cent from three-point range. But the Magic held away on the boards 51-32. Perth's Stewart (ankle) and Todd Lichti (groin) played with injury.
