Tonny Jensen amassed 42 points, including 20 in the third quarter and 36 after the half, to pace Newcastle past Adelaide in the Newcastle Entertainment Centre contest. Jensen went 12-for-20 from the floor and 14-for-16 from the charity stripe en route to his total, a career-high that eclipsed his previous best of 35. Four other Newcastle players reached double figures, but none more than 15. For the visiting Sixers, John Rillie recorded a career-high 22 points. "We did a good job on Jensen in the first half but he just found a hot hand in the second," Adelaide coach Dave Claxton said.
