MELBOURNE 109 - Sydney 104 (2OT)

Andrew Gaze charted 45 points as Melbourne used two extra sessions of overtime to get past Sydney and snap a two-game losing skid. Aaron Trahair drained a three-pointer with 8.7 seconds remaining but the trey was disallowed because referee Ian Watts ruled Trahair was fouled before the shot attempt. Trahair made his pair of free throws to draw the Kings within two points, but Melbourne's Lanard Copeland answered with two free throws of his own. Isaac Burton provided 32 points for the Kings.

Melbourne: Gaze 45, Copeland 26, Bradtke 17, Gordon 7, Giddey 6, Egan 4, Smith 4.

Sydney: Burton 32, Thomas 24, Trahair 14, Bolden 14, Dickinson 12, Whitehead 4, Nilesen 4.
