Townsville withstood a 39-point onslaught from veteran Leroy Loggins to rattle-up its third win for the season. The Suns were led by point guard Derek Rucker, whose 32 points led six players in double figures. Brisbane was in touch down the stretch, but Rucker and Tony De Ambrosis iced the game for Townsville. For the Bullets, Steve Woodberry completed a triple double (11 points, 11 assists, 10 boards) but went 5-for-26 from the floor.
