The gray streaks are back, although Wilde's hair is still dyed blond, now to the middle of his neck.  Wilde's thin compared to just about any other wrestler besides his own tag team partner, Lightning.

He's got strange brown eyes, the strange part being the whites of his eyes are actually a noticeable light shade of gray.  He's got what some girls call "the cutest face," somewhat round, with a lady-killer smile he's always eager to flash.  Usually possesses both a sense of ultimate confidence and humility at the same time, which fits well his angel's face and devil's eyes.

Doesn't tend to dress fancy on most occasions.  Still wears a cross around his neck, given to him by former comrade J C Novastar, and recovered from one time cross thief Randy Bryson.

"Ah was born Willend Oscar Anke, after two sisters and before a brother.  Who knows, maybe someday there'll be another lil sibling, although I doubt it somehow.

"I don't know what's worth mentioning in my life.  Everything that seems important would just sound silly, except I gotta give a nod to some of my really, rea-lly close friends, like my sister Rebecca, Jess, Shelly H, um, lemme see, that's about all the names I should say right now.

"Things got a little rough when Jess moved away.  Even though me and Shelly were pretty close, it was kinda strange for a while.  Ah think deep down that's part the reason Rebecca started to get my involved in her training, so I'd feel a part of something.  And since Shelly was trying to help, too, she started coming with.  Of course, her dad's in the business, in fact, my uncle worked for his wrestling business for years before.

"Anyway, not to lose focus.  They called me a natural at certain points in the game.  Still not sure if they were just being nice, but it made me feel pretty special.

"I took a hold of it, and got to training.  Things looked up.  I trained with Rebecca, my uncle, and a nice Southern guy named Jeff Duane, ring name Jeff Duds, at least, at the time.  It was slang for "clothes."  Personally, I think it was already outdated when he started using it, which was years before he trained me.  Before long, Shelly's dad's federation dropped my uncle's contract, and he moved on to Mike D's IWCW, changing his name from A. Rodney Tanke, or Ace to his friends, to just "Ace Tanke."

"I went in, using the name Wilde Tanke, aka, Wildlife.  Rebecca kept her Wildfire Rebecca Tanke ringname.  Ah had to wait weeks to even get a match, starting a trend that'd repeat itself over my career.  Me never getting the matches I need.  Jeff Duds had decided to finally go by his real name, and Ace wrestled in the initial world title tournament, and made it all the way to the end, while Rebecca and Shelly joined us in the ring on occasion.  Rebecca and I even had a match.  I, um, forget the outcome, but I'm sure it . .

"Ehh.  Anyway, a couple weeks after I expanded up a level in professional quality to the AFW and CWO, both of which were among the all time greats in wrestling's modern history.  IWCW underwent the beginning's of a long term feud between Mike D, and president Stan Grubb, a feud that would rage over several federations, and even hit NWC in it's late stages.

It split into IWCW, which quickly merged with another fed and become NWICW.  Of course, Grubb's faction got a new name.  NAWA.  I went with it, while some of my friends stayed with both federations.  Lucky for them but not the two feds, the exclusive clauses found in my contract were literally a thing of the past in wrestling by this point.

"Since I was in, at one point, three federations at once, with a federation war between AFW and NAWA first, then AFW and NWICW, it kinda got tricky from there on out.  In a way, it was the high point of my career thus far.  First ever CWO cruiserweight champ.  Three time AFW cruiserweight champ.  Lots of fun matches and feuds.

"I think a sum total of one or two world title shots in both federations combined, and a few more botched opportunities to win a title shot.  For most my time there, I went under the name Wildlife, and later Afterlife, after a little tag team partner turning on me incident.  When it got too stressful, I did a retirement on some CWO pay per view, then went to their rival league, IWC, which turned out to be pretty short lived, while staying in AFW for it's entire 13 month existence.  Last 3 months were pretty sad, though.  Early on, MasterIceman, the world champ in AFW, took me under his wing there, and even introduced me to a future brother in law, Maximus Ordicus.

"At this point, we were still feuding with NWICW.  AFW merged with a federation known as SIW, which is where Bill Neno actually came from, if I recall right.  When SAFW closed down, I helped AFW invade NWICW, where we raised hell, and ended up helping the federation rise to successes never seen in AFW or even SAFW.

Of course, that wasn't due to Mike D, the owner, or his friends at the time, but to James Girard, who ran the federation through the typical means; a puppet token rich French sleazebag.  Just as things got hot, Mike D did what he does best, and caused a rift, causing Girard to go crazy and retire from NWICW, then wrestling a few months later.

"After some more wrestling in some other federations, and recovering from a broken leg suffered in NWICW (not long before I met JC Novastar), I ended up taking Shooting Star's business advice.  Star, ya see, was big in CWO and the original SWF.  In CWO he and I were the last two surviving members of the Alliance.

"The plan was to reform Alliance.  When SWF retired, though, and Star with it, I was chillin' in SCCW, making waves and taking that cruiserweight title.  Wrestling wise, I mighta been unbeatable, but I had very few really top-notch opponents to prove it against.

"As champ, I managed to form the Shades of Grey, one of my better ideas.  Along with me:

"Maximums Ordicus.  Both rookies to wrestling, who the Darkside Alliance took under their wings.  We teamed up as the Dark Scouts, and once held the tag team title, and a US title for him, while I had my first AFW cruiserweight title.  Things fell apart, but we stayed together for months until he turned on me.  Oh, he was in SOG for a while, too.

"Rich.  AKA the Perfect Creation, he was an original member of the Alliance.  We didn't always get along, but his valet/ girlfriend, Kristen, pretty much always got along with my sis Rebecca.  Pretty much best friends.

"Stan Grubb.  The last member, and former IWCW and NAWA president.  Besides JC Novastar, the only one not in either the Darkside Alliance, Shades of Grey, or the Alliance, from which GSA got it's name.  Pessimist, who along with me formed SOG.  Rampage Damien Jones, who along with Steve or Stevie Sherman helped me really blow up SOG size wise.  And of course Novie, who I had problems with in NWICW, when I'd always make fun of his name always being so similar to a CWO ally of mine.  Of course, we eventually made up.  I even carry the cross he gave me, to this day, as a reminder of him.

"Despite me spending so much time on it, it was pretty short lived.  Hate to say it, but a lotta that's my fault.  Hey, I meant well.  Backstory quick:  Rebecca and I turned on our own uncle, Ace, and sided with Max and AFW, against NAWA, who were our rivals at the time.  In fact, right after he won the NAWA US tag team titles with the Giant, then her, me, some friends who were allied with the Giant named Unity and Fishbrain, Max, and our hired thug, Gangasta, stormed the ring and destroyed everyone in our path.  Both the new champs, and Power Express or something, the fallen champs.

"This is then.  Later on, Ace somehow becomes SCCW vice president, after SOG is formed.  Coming into a title shot for Stan Grubb against Rob Payne, I was just coming off a suspension, or maybe I was still suspended.  Anyway, POTS and the late Steve Sullivan, two top superstars, decide to hold Grubb at ransom during their title match, and threaten to seriously injure him if I don't come along and join up with them.

"I go with them.  This was the same day I'd found out Sullivan was really my long lost half brother, by the way.  Creepy day, in other words.

"Wanting to be closer to my late half brother, (Wilde chokes on a sob at this point, but forces it back and continues) I stay with them willingly.  Looking back, I can honestly say, Thank Darwin I did.  Anyway, we go from federation to federation, making allies and enemies, and raising hell.  Having a somewhat fun time along the way.  Prisoners of War was the name, and it fit the way we all felt about our careers.

"GSW, I met Lightning, a grown man who thought he was a kid, but was really a JCrown champion.  I felt sorry for him, wanted to help.  Hell, in a way I still do.  I took him under my wing.

"My girlfriend at this point, Moose, was like a mother to him for a long time. To make a short story shorter, we got kicked out of POW, and teamed up, until he got kidnapped by his former psychologist.

"That almost brings me to the end of this summarized story.  After POW, I floated around, until I left SCCW after over a year, and entered into BSW.  There, with Justin Jameson and Trent Prophet, I helped start, then kill off YouthFul Image with dreaming, and childish arguments with my stable mates, respectively.  Trent retired me due to a cheap DQ call by Jameson at an NWC ppv, but I got to be Vice president of BSW for a while.  Lightning, in his David Iago persona, helped end my career in a match Dexter Irons set up.  It was a celebration of my three years in wrestling, in a way.

"It would take Irons leaving BSW and joining his own federation to give me the opportunity to get back in wrestling.  I did, and got back in his federation, PWP, as the officially recognized Prime Time champion.  It was a belt I'd held in BSW for just over a hundred days until it was killed off, shortly after I was retired from active competition as champion.

"PWP merged into BSW.  I somehow ended up back with Lightning, despite not trusting him.  Then, he somehow ended up thinking he was me, and I was really him, under his Sunlight persona.  Actually, it's kinda fun.

"We'd been getting help for him until recently.  Meanwhile, I was sick of the damned sport, and all the crap it caused me.

"I really don't want to be back. . .  but to get me a piece of Robert D and Security . . . Damn you know it!"

f there's anything close to a gimmick for Wilde Tanke, it would be the attitude that's often earned him the name "Wise Ass."  Quick wit, quick with a cut or a friendly (or not so friendly) put down, Wilde's an "absolutely love him or totally despise him" kind of person.

Occasionally a little animal like in appearance and tendencies, he's even let out a growl on occasion.  Due to that, and his love of getting outside in nature, his original wrestling nickname was "Wildlife."  As of more recent times (see history), he's sort of gone back to that premise, taking on the name "SunLite."

When things get bad enough, or he gets psyched enough, he sometimes puts on an alternate mask; that of the graveyard loving, riddle spouting, lover of all things all gray, the living enigma lover "Afterlife."

For the record, he's got various colors loosely associated with all his little ways of life.  For SunLite, it's usually dull yellow and white cloudy wrestling outfits.  Wildlife usually wore greens, or early on, red and black Chicago Bulls outfits.  Wise Ass was marked with glittering gold and attitude over his outfits, while Afterlife was marked with all gray, various shades.

Additionally, when he's close to reverting to his Afterlife gimmick for whatever reason (stress, or an impending change for someone sometimes causes him to make a semi conscious decision to do so), or he's done so in the past, he's often wore plain gray tights, and an equally unadorned white shirt in deference of the "occasion."

Half brother of one time NWC superstar the late "Snake Eyes" Steve Sullivan.  Younger brother of "Wildfire" Rebecca Tanke.

5 strengths

  1. Speed:  One of the quickest wrestlers around, Wilde's always used his speed to his advantage, both offensively and defensively
  2. Experience:  He's been around a while, and has wrestled everyone from the smallest to the biggest of wrestlers.
  3. Intuitive:  Could be called his first ever strength in the ring, this uncanny sense of what to do, when to do it, and what to watch for has always given Wilde an ability to instinctively turn the tide in matches, or keep it in his favor.
  4. varied offense:  Variety is the spice of life, and in Wilde's case, the spice of success.  He's always mixed up his moves, giving him more of a grounded style than most wrestlers his size and weight.
  5. calm and cool:  Does not loose his temper, the opposite of his older sister, Rebecca.  Wilde's always calm, cool, and collected in the ring.

5 weaknesses

  1. Wilde is very vulnerable to extreme wrestling, a style he doesn't use, and doesn't tend to fare well against.  He's also a little weak against submission wrestling.
  2. Often has knee problems.   Longtime, and ironic, considering it's where he focuses most of his offense.  Of course, one could argue the first hand knowledge of the pain is why he chooses to attack that part of the body on his opponents.
  3. Small.  Small, and very easy to toss around.
  4. Might not wrestle into his style.  After all, he's an all around wrestler via the past three years and training, but he's trying to "Be" Sunlight, who was a suicidal high flyer.
  5. Sometimes known to go for big moves too early in the match, then end up wasting weak moves when he should be finishing his opponents off instead.
Six time career cruiserweight champion.  Former AFW World tag team, US tag team champion.  Former BSW Prime Time champion.

one half of Lightshow, and definatly NOT one of Robert D's favorites.
