I know this is a little late, but just wanted to wrap up another season. Chris defeated Charlie in the finals, 66-54, to add to his fantasy trophy collection. Late season pick up Anson Carter was the hero, with 13 points, including six goals. Stillman (10 points), Kariya (9), and Leclair (9) also had significant contributions. Charlie had decent contributions from several guys, but in the end his luck ran out after two one point playoff victories.

Instead of summarizing each team’s performance during the season, I will make a list of the following random items.

I almost led points from start to finish. There was a two week period in December when Charlie had the lead. My forwards and my defensemen were the highest scoring. That’s a good combination. However, thanks to my goalie being outscored 16-4 in the semifinals, I missed the finals.
Highest scoring players: Jagr (Jay) 171 points; MacInnis (Rick) 82 points; Brodeur (Bill) 96 points.
Bill had the highest scoring goalie, the second best defensemen, but still managed to finish in the points cellar. His forwards scored almost 100 less than ninth place Rich and 200 points less than eighth place Rick.
Jay’s defensemen finished last with a measly 16 goals and 103 points. A couple of defensemen had that many goals by themselves. The next lowest defensive point total was 160 (Rich).
Teams that have made the playoff each of the three seasons with head to head play-Chris, Tony, Rick, and I. Teams that have missed the playoffs in all three seasons-Brett, Rich.
Rick finished out of the money for the first time in four years.
League records broken during this season: Best won-lost record (Tony) 15-5-1. That was it.
