Time for a brief end of the all-star break newsletter. I'll save you from a boring recap of where things stand and just give you the moves I have since Friday.

I pick up Hackett, drop Shtalenkov; drop Renberg.

Rich activates Bondra and Weight, reserves Arnott, places Murray on IR.

Rick activates Hamrlik, reserves D. Hatcher.

Charlie activates Schneider, reserves McLaren.

I attached head-to-head stats for the season and lifetime as well as a points per week by player. The points per week analysis shows each player for each team, so players dropped and picked up by another team will be shown more than once. Here are a few observations from that.

• Lindros (Brett) leads all forwards in points per week. With Forsberg traded to strengthen his defense and goalie, Brett really needs Lindros to keep up his current pace.
• Steady Freddy Olausson should change his name to Incredible Freddy. He has only been active 3 weeks, but has led all defensemen in scoring in each of those weeks, averaging a ridiculous 7 points per week. Kudos to Brett for picking him up before he began his tear.
• Not surprisingly, Hasek (Rich) leads all goalies in points per week. His 4.79 per week is over one point above every other goalie who has played more than 5 weeks.
• As a point of comparison, the average for all forwards is 3.55 points per week. The average for all defensemen is 1.83 points per week. The average for all goalies is 3.12 points per week.

This week has the first place teams in each division against each other. That would be Tony vs. me. I will be looking for a little revenge on Tony's 5-1 lifetime record against me, including 3-0 last year plus a win in the playoffs. Ah, but this year I have Selanne. We'll see if that matters. The second place teams also go against each other, Chris and Charlie.
