At the end of the 1996/1997 season, a season that saw Bolton Wanderers
win the first division title with a tally of 98 points and 100 goals, Burnden
Park was no more. After 102 years of football a ball would never
be kicked across the Burnden turf again.

The picture below shows the remainder of the Burnden Terrace, the
area of the ground where my friends and I would watch Bolton every other
week.
BURNDEN PARK 1998
The dawn of the 1997/1998 season saw Premiership football return
to Bolton, but this time with unfamiliar surroundings.
This season saw the opening of the Reebok Stadium. Although
a far superior stadium to Burnden Park in terms of facilities, the atmosphere
at the Reebok will never come close to that of the roar of the terraces
at Burnden.
