The London Central
Golden Ghosts had successful year this year. At the begging
of the year we were a team with very little experience. But through
out the year our team grew quickly and became a force to be reckoned with
in London Conference Rugby.
This year my team
is coached by M. Chris McCrady, M. Norm Sproule with the help of Keith
Crosier. Our team captain
was Elliot Chun. The team has a wide variety of players. We range
from small grade nines. To OAC students (grade 13).
During the regular season we play 15-man rugby. I say during the regular season because there will be a junior seven's tournament. This is a tournament which gives the grade 9's and 10's (and some 11's) a chance to play a full game. Last year we won this tournament although this year we had enough for players for two teams and our team was split because one team didn't show up.
We had an interesting year, from our U.C.C. bus ride to our semi final game against Beal. Hopefully next year we will have a team but with the political unrest in Ontario the teachers are looking to a work to rule and if that happens all likely hood says there won't be a next year for rugby.
I have this years scores (1998)
as well as last years scores (1997).
