- Roller Hockey will be played on a Sport Court, Roll-On or a surface similar to the above.
- The rink will be marked according to the diagram included with these rules as indicated [Picture coming soon!]
The goals will consist of RHI nets. They may be wooden, PVC pipe, or metal frames, with the pipes a minimum diameter of 2". They must be covered with a netting strong enough to withstand any shot. Goal nets are 6' wide and 4' tall.
- In front of each goal, a goal crease will be marked by a line 2 inches wide.
- The goal crease shall be laid out as follows: A semicircle 6' in radius and 2" in width shall be drawn using the center of the goal line as the center point. In addition, an L-shaped marking of 5" in length (both lines) at each front corner will be painted on the floor. The location of the L-shaped marking is measured by drawing an imaginary 4' line from the goal line to the edges of the semicircle. At that point the arrow may be drawn. [Picture coming soon!]
One 12" face off spot will be at the exact center of the floor. Additionally, eight 12" face-off spots will be located on the floor as per the diagram [Picture coming soon!]
- Each rink will have seats or a bench for the use of each team. Each player bench will accommodate at least 14 people and will be placed immediately alongside the playing surface in the neutral zone as near as possible to the center of the rink and convenient to the dressing room.
- Only players in uniform, the coach, assistant coach and the trainer will be permitted to occupy the player benches.
- During a game, coaches and trainers will be confined to the players bench.
- Teams will maintain the same bench for the entire game.
Each rink will have seats or benches to be used for the seating of a penalized player, the Game Timekeeper, and Official Scorer. The penalty bench should be located a substantial distance from the players' benches.
