Reek of the Week
1. Uriah Rennie
Red
card? You call that a red card? What the hell is wrong with you Mr. Rennie?
That has
got to be the
worst decision of the season, and there's still 10 or so months of football
left in it.
70 minutes
in, Shearer, who had already been, deservedly, booked for a challenge on
Villa captain
Gareth Southgate, was sent off for the most petty little thing of the game.
A
long ball was
played out of defence, Shearer turned round to check where the defender
was,
backed into
him slightly and went up for the header. The ball cannoned of Shearer,
onto the defender
and away. Meanwhile, Mr. Rennie blue his whistle, shoved first a yellow
and then a
red in Alan's face, and that was that. Even the Villa defenders had the
decency to
look shocked.
And
that absolutly infuriated the crowd. After they realised it was Shearer
that was being sent off,
the boos inside
St. James Park were deafening. And to make matters worse, 5 minutes later
a Julian Joachim
header took all three points for Villa.
Ruud's
post match comments summed everything up perfectly. Back to division 2
with him!
Congratulations
Mr. Rennie, you've won the first ever Reek of the Week award, and I'm damn
sure
it won't be
the last either.

yourself,
then get yourself
really worked up and pissed off at Uriah Rennie, and go and break all
the windows
in his house. But you didn't read that here.
