SHEARER AND DYER IN ENGLAND SQUAD

Despite the clubs pathetic start to the season Alan Shearer and Kieren
Dyer have both earnt England call-ups for the upcoming games against
Poland and Luxembourg.

It's no surprise that Shearer's got the nod, but Kieren Dyer's selection in the squad for the
two upcoming crucial EURO 2000 qualifiers with Poland and Luxembourg is a little
bit of a surprise. Dyer probably won't take any part in the games, but it will give him
invaluble experience at international level.
