ANOTHER KEEPER
Former
Newcastle United goalkeeper Tommy Wright has returned to the
club-albeit
on loan.
Newcastle
face a problem for tomorrow's match with Sunderland at St.James' in that
recent
signing from
NAC Breda John Karelse limped out of training this morning and is extremely
doubtful for
the game.
Karelse
has a knee injury which means that Steve Harper should return between the
posts, but
with Shay Given
still injured and Lionel Perez yet to start a game for the first team,
Gullit
considered
himself to be without cover and has taken Wright on loan for a month.
Wright,
36 on Sunday, will go straight into the squad for tomorrow's game and
start his second
spell with the club.
Wright
originally signed for Newcastle from Linfield in 1988 for a fee of £30
000, playing
82 league games
before moving on to Nottingham Forest and Manchester City from where
Newcastle have
taken him on loan today.
