The Interview Number 2 - Michael Owen Young Michael is just coming back from injury, The Unofficial NUFC website caught up with him on his thoughts on how England went in their Euro 2000 clash with Scotland, and how he's recovering from his injury... Unofficial NUFC Website - How's your recovery coming along? Michael Owen - Good thanks, I'm back in the Liverpool first team, and played most of the two legs against Scotland. The leg was fine, didn't give me any trouble at all. UNUFCW - What do you think of the "Battle of Britain"? MO - The atmosphere was incredible, all the fans got really involved, which was great. It was so loud at Wembly, I couldn't hear Alan Shearer moaning at me. And then David Beckham tryed to say something to me, but I didn't pick up a word of it. UNUFCW - Maybe that's because of his ridiulously high-pitched voice? MO - You said it. UNUFCW - We heard rumours that your mum wasn't going to let you play at Hamden Park. MO - Well, yeah, that's true actually. Mum tryed to make me stay at home, she said the noise would hurt my ears. She even tryed locking me in my room, she put a chair in front of the door, but luckily theres a tree outside my bedroom window, and I climbed down that and Mr. Keegan picked me up. UNUFCW - And I see your trying to grow a bit of a goatee there. MO - Well, not really, it just appeared there the other day. My dad hasn't tought me how to shave yet, so I'll have to ask him to one day. I was really scared when it first grew, I thought there was something wrong with me, but mum then gave me a big talk on this thing called puberty. She had this funny book, it had pictures of willy's in it! UNUFCW
- Really, well, thats, um, great. So what
do you think of Liverpool's chances
MO - Sorry, I can't stay and chat I think I can hear my mum calling me, it's tea time. UNUFCW - Oh, OK then. Would we be able to talk to you after that then? MO - No, I have to have a bath and then it will be my bedtime. So
there you go, Michael then skipped up the garden path, and gave his mum
a big hug, then turned round and waved goodbye to us.
