Kieron Dyer

When Kieren signed for Newcastle in July for £6 million from Ipswich Town he became the first English player signed by Ruud Gullit. An exciting young player, Kieren is an established England under 21 international and it's only a matter of time before he makes an impact on the Full team.
He made 100 appearances for Ipswich, scoring 9 goals before moving to Newcastle. His first appearence in a black and white shirt came on the opening day defeat by Villa, when he came on at half time for the injured and fellow debutant Elena Marcelino. His first start came only two days later in the 3-1 defeat by Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
Recently he was called into the England squad for the game against Bulgaria in Sofia. He made his first start for the Three Lions in the Euro 2000 qualifier against Luxembourg at Wembly, making a huge impression and winning the man of the match award in the same game Alan Shearer picked up a hat trick.
