LEAGUE FORMATION

The entry fee for this league will be $35 plus an additional $20 for future transactions for a total of $55. The $55 is due at the draft!! No Exceptions!! A total of $95(price went up) will go to cover the software, new web features and the STATS downloading fees. The rest of the pot will be kept to cover transaction processing fees.

NOTE!!!!!

No money can be won by any participants as it is unlawful to have a gambling pool. All money will go to cover processing fees. The top 3 to 5 teams(depending on how many teams enter) will accumulate POINTS that can be used to the next seasons salary cap.

WEB/MESSAGE BOARD

ALL pickups and trades will be done via the WEB using the message board!! No exceptions!! I will glady post them for you, IF I am able to, NO GUARANTEES!!!. Lineups can be posted using the message board or my work phone. DO NOT USE EMAIL!!!! Because I have so many email accounts and I'm not able to read them from some locations, if I don't READ your email by the time Lineups or Pickups are due you are S.O.L.!!!! To bad too SAD!!!

AUCTION

Selection order will be determined by a drawing of numbers. Whoever draws #1 will go first and then clockwise around the table.

When it is you're turn you must select a player that has not yet been drafted and bid on that player(all bids are in whole dollars). You must bid at least 1 dollar on the player you select. You should announce the player, his position(see PLAYER POSITIONS below for determining positions), and MLB team. A player is bid on until only one team is left bidding. That team gets the player at that amount. Once a team passes on the bidding of a player that team CANNOT bid later on the same player.

SALARY CAP

The salary cap per team is $260. You CANNOT bid over your teams cap. If you do your teams cap will be lowered by 10% each time you do. This will then be your teams cap for the entire season. The other owners will get to choose which players on your team that are to be removed and added back into the bidding pool(you must draft 23 players, so if you bust and you only have 10 players you must free up an additional 15 dollars after the 10% has been deducted in order to fill your roster).

TEAM ROSTERS

Each team MUST start each season with a 23 man roster. You DO NOT have to keep 23 men on your roster AFTER the start of the season. Also, you cannot have MORE than 23 men on your roster. Both AL/NL players will be used. The maximum number of teams will be 12. At the end of the draft you must be able to field a starting line-up consisting of the following.

5 - starting picthers(can be any combination of SP/RP).

9 - starting batters(of the 9 you MUST have 1 player at each infield position, 3 outfielders, and 1 DH(any position)).

9 - reserves(can be any combination of batters & pitchers).

If after the start of the season you cannot fill a starting line-up, you will not accumulate points for any position you cannot fill.

KEEPER LEAGUE

This is a keeper league. Each team can keep as many players as they whish, but must give each player a raise, purchase a 23 man roster, and stay under the salary cap.

For salary raises for this season refer to Baseball Raise Table .

Each team will have until Sunday, March 26th by 7pm to turn in the players they wish to keep. NO EXCEPTIONS! The updated rosters will be posted on the website on Monday 03/27/00. If a list of kept players is not turned in you WILL not have any players on your roster at the start of the draft. You WILL NOT be able to change your roster AFTER you turn your list in on 03/26/00.

PLAYERS SALARIES

Those players that are kept from the year before and those drafted will keep those values for the whole season. Those players that are not drafted will retain the values from the list provided by the software. This list will be posted on the website as soon as it is made available. Any player who is not drafted and is not on the list OR has a value of zero, will be considered to have a value of $1. No player can have a value of less than $1.

SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT

An owner may make additions to their team by use of the supplemental draft. Each Thursday(bottom half teams) and Friday(upper half teams). In order from the lowest ranked team to the highest will be able to select a maximum of 2 players to thier roster, dropping as many players as necessary to keep under the salary cap. For each player add a $1 processing fee will be charged and a $1 processing fee for each player dropped will be charged. The player(s) dropped will not be available to be drafted until the following week. Example: You pick up a player for $10 and need to drop 3 players in order to stay under the cap a total of $4 in processing fees will be charged. NOTE: It is up to YOU to let me know you whish to pick up a player!! I WILL NOT be calling you!!

TRADES

You may trade players with any team in the league up until the ALL-STAR BREAK. From the ALL-STAR BREAK until the end of August you can trade players only with teams that are 2 places above you or 2 places below you. For each player added or dropped a $1 fee will be charged. You must keep under the salary cap and you can, if agreed upon have one team pay all fees for a trade. Any BOGUS sounding trades will be nixed by the Commissioner. The Commissioner must be notified by ALL teams involved in the trade BEFORE the trade will take effect! A traded player cannot be put into the line up until the next line up is due. A player that you receive in a trade MUST stay on your roster for TWO FULL weeks. Example - a player traded to you must show up on your roster listing the following 2 Mondays. You CANNOT trade your supplemental pick for another teams supplemental pick. A current roster player must be involved with any supplemental pick trades and that player cannot be waived that week.

Example: If you trade a player on Wednesday and he is in your line up that week he is still your player until Monday when the next line up is due(this is the same a pick ups has been in the past).

WEEKLY LINE UPS

Each week owners will submit their starting line ups to the Commissioner by Monday at 6pm(even if Monday is a holiday). You can use one of two ways to turn in your line ups. One use the message board on the website OR two call my work phone. Both have date and time stamps and I can get them at MY convenience. The line up will cover all games from Monday thru and counting Sunday night games. I will post the new line ups on Monday evenings. Standings will be POSTED on the WEBSITE on Monday evenings hopefully by 9pm.

PLAYER POSITIONS

Every year at the START of the season each player is elgible for only ONE position. He must earn any other positions by playing 10 games at that position. The player position report is the only source used for this. To determine a players position at the start of the season the following TWO guides ONLY will be useds. No other sources will be allowed. #1 - last years player position report. If a player played 10 or more games at a position the OWNER can draft or keep him at that position. The OWNER gets to choose what position(if the player qualifies at multiple positions), that he wants the player to START the season at. #2 - the "Fantasy Baseball Index" magazine. In the magazine there is a breakdown of each team, in each teams breakdown each STARTER is HIGHLIGHTED. IF a player is HIGHLIGHTED an owner can choose to use that position for his player to start the season at. Each owner MUST declare at the time the first lineup is due which position his players will START the season at. Each player MUST get 10 games in another position BEFORE he is elgible for that position. NOTE - if during the auction an owner throws out a player for bidding at a certain position, if you outbid & get him, you(the owner of the player) get to choose the position. If a player that qualified last year at multiple positions is NOT declared when the first lienup is due his position will DEFAULT to the position he played at the most last season.

If you have any questions or doubts about a players position bring it up BEFORE you draft him!!!

The MLB roster listing will NOT be used to determine player positions!!!

SCORING

Points will be awarded on how well your team does. Only starters will earn points for your team.

Teams will be awarded points in the following categories:

Batting Categories:

Batting Average, Home Runs, RBI's, Hits, Stolen Bases, Runs, On Base % = (walks + hits) \ at bats, and Slugging % ={(HR's X 4)+(triples X 3)+(doubles X 2)+ singles} \ at bats

Pitching Categories:

ERA, Wins, Saves, Strike Outs, and WHIP/RATIO = (walks + hits) \ innings pitched

MOST IMPORTANT RULES!!!!!

I AM NOT YOUR MOTHER, SO DON"T CRY TO ME!

IF you can't connect to the message board, TO BAD TOO SAD!!!

IF you don't get your pick ups in by the allotted time for your team on Thursday or Friday you are S.O.L.

IF you don't get your line ups in by 6pm on Monday you are S.O.L.

THE COMMISSIONER has FINAL say on ALL RULES!
