Thurston Moore

Thurston Moore is a guitarist and
one of the singers in the best band in the world Sonic Youth. It's hard
to say whose songs are the best in Sonic Youth (I'm still pondering over that
one this very moment) but after seeing Sonic Youth: 1991 - The Year Punk Broke
there is no doubt who my favorite member is. His sense of humour is as
twisted as mine with such classic lines as "Our audience is expanding, my
mind is turning into a fine gelatinous ball of pepper". Thurston is
considered by some critics to be one of the best experimental guitarists in
music today.
He has also done some solo
albums. Most of those are lyricless experimental albums, but he has
released one song album the awesome Psychic Hearts.
The major tragedy of Sonic Youth
is that because they don't generally do too well in the music charts, they
could very well be that are they are forgotten in thirty years time by the
industry in general. I hope I'm completley wrong on that one. By
the way for those of you who don't know, Sonic Youth were a major musical
influence on none other than Kurt Cobain! So regardless of if Sonic Youth are
forgotten or not they have made a major impact on the music industry.
