Match observations: Saturday Night Explosion kicked off with a bang tonight as the Armstrong Family and Ken Shamrock came down and had some strong words for the Extremists, challenging the Extremists to an Elimination Match at Super Cade I to hopefully end this feud that is starting to get out of hand between these two factions. The Extremists came out and accepted the challenge, and then went ahead and challenged the new World Tag Team champions, Scott & Steve Armstrong, to a title match right there on the spot! Needless to say, it was accepted and the match was underway. The match was on, and it was intense. The match wasn't the most technically sound of contests because these guys were intent on beating the trash out of each other. As we all expected, it didn't take long before the Armstrongs/Shamrock and the Extremists (including new member Rhino) got into it on the outside, causing a huge distraction. Scott Armstrong jumped off the apron and went to help Jesse James Armstrong and Shamrock, but this left Steve alone against Ace Darling and Devon Storm, who double-teamed him before Darling finished him off with his German Suplex to get the 3 count and win the Extremists the World Tag Team Titles! The Extremists left ringside very happy with themselves while the Armstrongs and Shamrock stood in disbelief. "Greatness Himself" The Perfect Creation was in action next, and we haven't seen this side of him until now as he took on Barry Horowitz, and he showed quite the meanstreak. What' s been going down recently Gran Hamada and then his quick falling out with Big Titan has lit a fire under TPC who just went nuts on Horowitz, finishing him off with a Doctor Bomb. TPC grabbed the mic and basically just went on a small rant directed towards Gran Hamada and Big Titan. TPC usually isn't considered somebody to be physically afraid of, but the kind of mood he is in now doesn't bode well for Gran Hamada or even Big Titan. GLW... look out. I hate to say it, but our next match was nothing more than a filler, as the Movement took on the New Powers of Pain. Both of these teams have been running into some trouble here as of late and were looking to get on the right track, which the Movement was able to do, picking up the win via a countout. Although they picked up an impressive win tonight, Mike Burton and Johnny Ace are going to need to put a few more together before they'll get another chance at the World Tag Team Titles. "Wonderkid" Jonny Storm proved tonight that he is an Extremist, because he simply outsmarted Erik Watts. Watts pretty much dominated this match over the much smaller Storm, but near the end, Storm managed to reverse a power bomb attempt by Watts into a sunset flip and picked up the victory. Watts started off strong here in the GLW but has been on a slide as of late, while Jonny Storm and the Extremists just keep winning and getting stronger. What happened in our following match was definitely odd to say the least. Sebastian P. Sterling would be taking on Big Titan for his partner The Perfect Creation. Sterling tried everything he could, but Titan was just too much for him as he finished Sterling off with relative ease with the Power Bomb. Immediately after the fall was counted, TPC was in the ring and all over Titan along with Sterling, who joined in when he came to. The assault by Team Perfection continued until Gran Hamada of all people came down and broke it up, clearing the ring of Team Perfection. Titan came to and just stared Hamada down before Hamada started to leave, but he was stopped by Titan. Hamada was ready to fight, but Titan instead offered a handshake! Hamada slowly accepted, but that turned out to be a mistake, as Titan nailed him with a short clothesline and then followed it up with a Power Bomb. Titan has cemented his position as a loner here in Great Lakes Wrestling. When Pierre Oulette was told that he would be defending his Television Title tonight against Flash Flanagan, he was probably thinking he would have an easy time with the new guy. Boy was he mistaken! Oulette should be counting his lucky stars that he escaped with his title in tow. It was apparant that Oulette underestimated Flanagan, who took it right to the champ, nearly finishing him off on several occasions. Flanagan started to get a bit frustrated near the end as he couldn't seem to find anything to put Oulette down for the 3. Flanagan tried a high risk top-rope splash, but Oulette managed to get out of the way. Moments later, he hit the Cannonball and escaped with the TV Title by the skin of his teeth. This served as a wakeup call for Oulette who's going to need to look better than this at Super Cade I when he defends against Colorado Kid in a 30-minute Iron Man Match. Despite losing, Flanagan certainly turned a few heads in this match. Midwestern champion Doc Dean, Brian Adias, & "The Juice" Juventud Guerrera were scheduled to take on Mark "The Shark" Schrader, Indiana Kidd Jr., and a mystery opponent. Well, that mystery opponent turned out to be "The new F'N Show" Jerry Lynn, and what an impact he made! The faces came out on fire in this one, Schrader being all over Adias and Indiana Kidd Jr. all over Guerrera. After a few minutes, those four paired off and began brawling on the outside, leaving Lynn and the Midwestern champion in the ring. What happened next was Lynn sensing an opportunity and jumping all over Dean. Dean tried everything he could to get away from the New F'N Show, but he couldn't, and Jerry Lynn scored the duke on the champ with his Piledriver! Dean couldn't believe it, but the fans loved every minute of it. We later learned that because of this match, Jerry Lynn has been granted a Midwestern Title shot at Super Cade I against Doc Dean! What a match that will be! We were ready for the first half of our huge double main event, and what a big time match it was as we had a Triangle Match on our hands involving Gran Hamada, "The Roaddog" Jesse James Armstrong, and "The Canadian Superstar" Lance Storm. Storm was obviously at a disadvantage here as neither of these guys particularly liek him, especially Armstrong, who will stop at nothing to get even with Storm and the Extremists for all they've done. It didn't take long before Storm and Armstrong were all over each other in the ring, with the Roaddog getting most of the shots in. Lance Storm tried desperately to make the tag to Hamada, but right before he was going to make the tag, The Perfect Creation pulled Hamada off the apron and started brawling with him! TPC and Hamada fought all the way to the back leaving Storm all alone with Jesse James. The Roaddog was once again getting the better of Storm when the new World Tag Team champions Ace Darling, Devon Storm, and Jonny Storm started to come to the ring, but they were quickly cut off by Steve Armstrong, Scott Armstrong, and Ken Shamrock! Armstrong was setting Storm up for a belly-to-back suplex, but Storm gained the advantage with a cheap back kick to the VERY lower abdomen. Storm quickly followed up with his new finisher, the Maple Leaf (double underhook piledriver) and got the 3 count, and subsequently, got out of the ring in a hurry. The Extremists escape with another one. Part two of our main event was just as intense as part one as Masato Tanaka defended his World Title against the newest member of the Extremists and a man who has simply been on fire in recent weeks, Rhino. Rhino went straight for Tanaka right away and hit him with a flurry of power moves that would have crushed a lesser man, but our World champion is no ordinary man. Tanaka fought back and these two put on a very good match. About halfway through the contest Big Titan stepped out from the back to get a closer look at this one. After a hard fought contest, Tanaka managed to do what nobody has been able to do as of late, and that's beat Rhino, courtesy of the Roaring Elbow. It didn't take long for Titan to get in the ring and nail Tanaka from behind. What commenced was one of the most hellacious fights I have personally ever witnessed! The show went off the air with these two just hitting each other with everything they had and then coming back for more! Their battle at Super Cade I is going to be something to see! With that, we have learned more matches for Super Cade I, live on March 23rd from the GLW Arena in Chicago, Illinois! This is going to be one great night of action! The card as of now is: World Title Match - Masato Tanaka (c) vs. Big Titan Midwestern Title - Doc Dean (c) vs. Jerry Lynn Television Title 30-Minute Iron Man Match - Pierre Oulette (c) Colorado Kid Elimination Match - The Extremists vs. The Armstrongs/Ken Shamrock/???
