ALLAN GOMEZ

Allan Gomez a 6'5" 225lb shooting guard from East LA College gave his letter of intent to Long Beach officials Friday. "He is a scoring machine" East LA College coach Jorge Calienes said of Gomez, who averaged 23ppg the past season. "He can take the ball to the basket, or he can stay outside and hit the 3. He was 47 percent last season shooting 3's" Gomez was recruited by Colorado St., Arizona, Tulane and Cal State Northridge.

This signing is exciting because if he lives up to this hype, he fills a huge need for a true scoring machine and provides a true offensive option. However, this sends a clear message to David Egans, and Rock Lloyd that if their games don't shape up they will see drastically reduced PT. Stay tuned....
