A few days ago an e-mail was posted in the guestbook from someone purporting to be Cindy Williams, Secretary of the Athletic Foundation at CSULB. The e-mail claimed that the site had been reviewed by the Athletic Foundation which had found the site to not be an official site of the University. Furthermore, legal action was threatened if all mention of the university was not removed by July 21st.
After speaking with the Executive Director of the Athletic Foundation of CSULB,
I was assured that no one by the name by the name of Cindy Williams is, or has been, employed by the Athletic Foundation of CSULB.
As a matter of fact, a link exists from the Long Beach Men's Basketball section to this web site, the only link in existence to an outside site.
Please rest assured that the University was not involved with this bogus e-mail in any fashion and appreciates the enthusiasm of the fans that support this site.
