Long Beach State Officials have announced the transfer of LaSean Howard from Syracuse University to Long Beach State. Howard follows the steps of another former Syracuse player Ramel "Rock" Lloyd who will make his 49er playing debut during the 98-99 season.
The 6'6" 180lb (G/F) Howard was a key reserve the past two seasons for the Orangemen. He will be eligible to play for the 49er's after sitting out one year as a redshirt. He will have two years of eligility remaining.
Coming out of High School he Led New Hampton Prep to a 22-3 record and the New England Class A Prep School Championship ...averaged 22 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists.
All-City and All-State as a senior...USA Today Super 25 selection...Mr. Ohio Basketball Ohio runner-up as a senior..averaged 18.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists as a senior...team captain as a junior and senior...four-year basketball letterwinner.
