MANCHESTER UNITED
THE KITS

The 60s were a time of fashion and style, and United's shirts were at their simplistic best, no sponsor, no zips and no background design. Mind you, when you play like Law, Best and Charlton did, you could wear sky blue and look good.

United wore this shirt in the early 60s, from the 59/60 season to the 60/61 season. Similar design to those worn by the mid 1950s team, but a long sleeved version.
The away version of the above shirt. Had a slightly longer life span - it was worn during the championship year of 64/65.
The shirt of the 60s. Law, Best and Charlton all played their greatest football in this classic shirt. Championships and FA cup wins tumbled in from the 61/62 season until 71/72 when the collar made a 70s comeback.
Another white away kit, another reverse of the home kit. What more is there to be said?
The shirt worn on the greatest night in the history of Manchester United? Possibly. United wore this on Brian Kidd's 19th birthday, May 29 1968. Oh yeah, that's the night we won the European Cup as well.
