1999, Konstantin Koltsov, First round, 18th overall - Right wing - 6-0, 187 pounds - Cherepovets (Russia) Koltsov, rated as one of the fastest skaters in the draft, played this season for Cherepovets in the Russian elite league, registering three goals and eight penalty minutes in 33 games. He also was a star for his native Belarus in the World Junior Championships, ringing up four goals, three assists and 30 penalty minutes in six games of that elite international tournament. He was rated as the No. 9 prospect in Europe by NHL Central Scouting.

1995, Alexei Morozov, right wing: Morozov, a 19-year-old winger, was impressive with the Russian team at the World Junior Championships. He had 13 goals and nine assists in 49 games with the Soviet Wings of the Russian Professional League.

1994, Chris Wells, center: Played 54 games with the Penguins last season, but saw limited ice time and had two goals and two assists with 59 penalty minutes.

1993, Stefan Bergkvist, defenseman: Spent most of the 1995-96 season with Cleveland of the International Hockey League, where he had two goals and seven assists. Bergkvist played in two games with Pittsburgh during the regular season, but the Penguins showed a lot of confidence by using him in four playoff games.
