Act 1:Scene 1 Lyle is born!

Narrator: "My life wasn't always so simple, and I got off to a rough start early"(We hear in the back round a rough slap, and a baby crying)

Doctor: "Its a boy?!!"

Mother: Are you sure its mine?

Doctor: I'm checking right now. (Doctor leaves the room Banging and screaming follow. Doctor renters with bloody nose black eye.) Yes I'm sure its yours.(Doctor faints,, and is rushed from the room. (Mother and baby are drug to the back door, and promptly thrown out and we hear the door lock. The mother goes to her car, and throws the baby on the back seat. As she is driving past a dumpster she throws out the baby.) Camera zooms slowly in on the dumpster and we hear a Lyle say: "Man I'm hungry, (Rummaging *PAUSE*)Yes pizza!!!"

Lyle: "I wonder when mom is expecting me oh well I'll surprise her"(camera zooms out, and we see dumpster on lonely street. Lyle's grown up voice comes in)

Narrator: It was always this way. I never quit surprising mom, and she never quit surprising me. We were happy. Always happy. Mom always left me with my friends, and from a very young age I was on my own. Of course I grew up a lot faster. As I aged I read I read and read, and at the age of 9 I wrote my first book. It was a controversial book that caused a stir among the Pycological world. It was titled "Psychology Aplied to Teaching." Many of my views got me into trouble with my teachers at school. Especially Mrs. Samson. The name totally described her.

Act 1: Scene 2 Lyle shows promise.

(Sound of yelling is heard, and the camera rises from behind a chair from the ground up to the back drop of Lyle in stylish suite addressing a large manly looking teacher Holding a book, and wearing thick glasses.)

Mrs. Samson: I must tell you that you have great promise, but you must really keep your out landish views to yourself!
Lyle: Really are they?

Mrs. Samson: Are they what?

Lyle: Are they really that out landish that evan you can't see what I've done? Is my book my papers that I have written that bad? What do you people have against me that you can' t see the fool that you are making out of your selves? I have worked hard to make sure that my book included all possible views, but the way that you teach isn't it. It isn't evan a view. I need to rest. Oh you are giving me such a head ache.!!

Mrs. Samson: Oh you cocky little B------.!!! (She pulls a 2x4 from her desk. It is studded with nails, and Lyle cringes in fear. She begins beating Lyle, and the camera Fades in to darkness with screams echoing in the background. We hear Lyle's adult voice again.)

Act 1: Scene 3 Sarah

Narrator: After a while the pain would wear away, and I would forget, and go off again. But as I grew smarter, and as I surpassed the teachers in knowledge I grew tired with school meant for idiots. At the beginning of my freshman year I was put into a special high school. It was called High school for the health professions, or Better medical high school. It was quite the school( the camera comes down from the sky, and we see a school lots of kids running around in lab coats. We pass two students with glasses discussing Physics. We enter the school, and move down the hall we take a left, and enter a lecture hall. We see Albert Einstein lecturing a class on the laws of physics. The camera moves along the back wall until we come to rest behind the desk of Lyle. He is asking a great deal of questions, and giving Mr Einstein quite a hard time.)

Einstein: Yes Lyle what is it now.?!!

Lyle: I just wanted to ask why is this fudge factor in the formula. If will look at my computations you will see that you hardly need it.

Einstein: Hmm. Uhhm( He looks over lyle's work, and finds that he is right He smiles and hands back to Lyle the computations.) You have done a very good Job. Keep working and you might be a great mind some day. Some day.......

Lyle: Thank you. ( the bell rings and all of the students get up and leave. Lyle gets up to leave, but as he reaches the door a new girl rushes past knocking all of his books and papers to the floor.)

Sarah: Oh I'm soo sorry. I didn't' mean to let me help you.

Lyle: Thanks. Are you new I haven't seen you around here before.

Sarah: Why yes I just moved here, and I don' t know my way around.

Lyle: I could show you around?!

Sarah: I thought you would never ask. (Lyle and Sarah are seen to exit through door on right of screen. The sound of their voices comes from the hall. We come around a locker, and see the two of them walking.)

Lyle: So how long have been here.?

Sarah:Oh two days now.

Lyle: Where did you move to?

Sarah: Oh I live over on Deer whistle and arrow st. How about you?

Lyle: Wow I live just down the street. I could help you guys move in.

Sarah: Great! We haven't got all of it done. Could you come over after school?

Lyle: Yeah I sure can. How are you getting home?

Sarah: Oh I walk.

Lyle: Would mind if I walked with you?

Sarah: Oh no.!

Lyle: Great I'll see you after school. O.K.?

Sarah: Great, but I should really be getting to science.

Lyle: Science? Really that's My next class also.

Sarah: Great where are we going.

Lyle: Just the next door on the right.(Sarah and Lyle enter the science room. An eccentric looking teacher is at the front of the class. He is wearing a lab coat, and messing with chemicals. The class mills around, and talks. We see students comparing advanced equations, and pointing and gesturing wildly. Lyle, and Sarah separate, and Lyle goes over to some friends who are playing with some electrical components.)Hi guys how are we doing?(A small young man in a lab coat jumps back as sparks fly)

Tom: Owww. That one hurt. Oh hi Lyle. We were just putting some of the finishing touches on the computer when you came in. I'm not sure what just happened. But I am sure that it is fixable. Whoa who's that?(He points across the room to Sarah who is getting along well with a bunch of girls. The rest of the guys gather around Tom to see who he is talking about. Oh's And Ah's are heard, and people are heard to be agreeing with Tom. Lyle butts in)

Lyle: That? That's Sarah. She just moved here. She lives on Deer whistle and arrow.

Brett: How do you know all of this?

Lyle: Well we kind bumped into one another, and she asked if I could come help them move in this afternoon.

Tom:Man do think you could move any faster? I don't evan know her, dn you already are going over to her house. Go Lyle.

Lyle: Knock it off I'm Just helping her move in.(the camera opens up on Lyle at Sarah's house. He and Sarah are sitting in the kitchen drinking lemonade. Empty boxes lay strewn about the room. WE hear THEM talking)

Sarah: Boy having you here sure helped. Were already done. Wanna do some home work?

Lyle: Sure. (He and Sarah grab their school bags and move up the stairs to her room. Sarah enters first, and turns on the light. Lyle stands awkwardly at the door.)

Sarah: Well don't just stand there silly come on in. (Lyle comes in and sits on the floor. Sarah plops down on the floor next to him with her school bag in hand. She pulls her books out.) What should we start on first? ( she opens her daily planner and ruffles through the pages for a while. Flustered she finally gives up.) I really don't have any home work to think of. What about you?

Lyle: No now that you mention it I don't. ( Lyle sits there for a moment with a blank stare on his face.) So uh what do we do now?

Sarah: Well we could watch a movie.? We've got the t.v. finally set up in the basement.

Lyle: Well........... (Lyle weighs his options carefully glances at Sarah and decides to stay.) Sure.

Sarah: Great lets go pick out a movie ( she bounds energetically out of the room and the camera does a close up on Lyle who is smiling. He pauses and then chases her out of the room. The camera catches Lyle and Sarah as they enter a room downstairs.) The movies are over here in one of these boxes. (She motions tword a large pile of boxes, Eventually they find one and sit down to watch it. They sit on opposite ends of the couch and still enjoy the movie. Sarah's mom yells down the stairs after a while.)

Mrs. Jones: Are you two down there?

Sarah & Lyle: Yeah

Mrs. Jones: Lyle's mom called he needs to go home now.

Lyle: Sure( he promptly gets up and head up the stairs Sarah calls after him)

Sarah: See you in school tomorrow, Thanks for the help.( We see Lyle come around a corner to see Mrs. Jones. She shows him to the door.

Mrs. Jones: Thank you for all of your help. Its so hard to find these days.

Lyle: Glad that I could assist you.

Mrs. Jones: Yes well goodbye.

Lyle: Bye.( He walks down the front steps and heads in the direction of his house. The camera switches to a view from his front porch. It follows him to the front steps and then switches inside. Lyle goes imediatly downstairs and flops down in front of his apple II e. He begins to type and eventually tires of this. He moves to his bed and lays down. The camera fades out. End of scene 3)

Act 1: Scene 4 Sarah?

Narrator: Sarah was a nice enough girl and we saw each other more as we got to know each other. We mostly just had fun. She was a fun person to be around. After about 6 weeks of this I got up the gusto to ask her to go the movies and dinner. It wasn't much fancy. Just dinner at the local diner and a drive thru movie. It was to be more than I ever planned.

Lyle:( camera fades in and we see Lyle in his room on the phone.) Right so 7:00 is fine?

Sarah: Yea

Lyle: We agreed on the movie "it came from the desert" right?

Sarah: Yeah that's what you said. It's fine with me.

Lyle: Good I'll see you later then.

Sarah: Bye.( The sound of a phone click is heard. Lyle smiles and replaces the receiver. The camera fades out and it comes back in front of Sarah's house. A car pulls up and Lyle gets out. He walks briskly to the door and returns with Sarah. They are in casual dress. They both get in the car and it pulls off down the street.)

Lyle:(in car)Man am I famished.

Sarah: me too.( The car pulls up infront of a diner and there are a lot of kids seen through the window. They are smiling and having a good time. The camera switches to inside the diner and we see Lyle and Sarah come in . They choose a booth back away from the action. They sit down across from each other.)Lyle we have to talk.

Lyle: Sure I'm always listening.

Sarah: ( she is fidgety and thought is portrayed on her face.) I have done a lot of thinking about this and I think it is best for both of us. I don't think we should see each other any more.

Lyle:(obvious signs of shock on his face)But I thought.... I thought that...... we were just getting comfortable with each other.

Sarah: See its not you it's me. I...... I ......... What I mean is....... (quickly) I'm experimenting with lesbianism.(She puts her head down)

Lyle: (Evan more shocked than before. He shakes his head trying to clear his thoughts.) I..... I...... Don't know what to say.

Sarah: There is nothing to say. We can't see each other anymore. I really like you, but not like that.

Lyle: couldn't you have just told me?

Sarah: I thought that's what I just did.

Lyle: I mean before.(pause) I'm sorry Sarah.

Sarah: Me too I guess.

Lyle: ( "Melt away" starts and Lyle gets up, and stumbles to the door. He glances back at Sarah. Then turns and goes out to his car. We come in at his house as he pulls up. We hear the door slam upstairs and he comes down stairs. He enters his bed room and flops down on his bed. Obvious signs of thought can be seen on his face. He closes his eyes and the song gets louder. We hear Lyle's adult voice again. End scene 4)

Act 2:Scene 1 Football

Narrator: I didn't know what to think. My world was so shattered. All that I knew fell to pieces around me. I went back to school and worked harder than ever. I missed one question on a test that quarter. I now began to look for something else, and with my unfortunate stab at the world of women I concluded that it was not the answer, so I thought that sports would be a good alternative to working my self to death over school. A good place to vent. So I joined the football team.)

We hear grunting and snarling as the camera fades in on the team. We see Lyle near to the coach. The camera switches to a view with Lyle and the coach conversing.)

Coach: So son you want to be involved in the football program?

Lyle: Yes sir I would glad to assist in any way possible.

Coach: Well I have a place just for you. Come around here after practice tonight and I'll get you your gear.

Lyle: Great!(We see Lyle move away from the football field.)

Narrator: I didn't exactly make varsity that year but I did get to play get back.(The camera comes in on Lyle during one of the practices. He approaches the coach and before he can say any thing the coach says)

Coach: Get back!!!(Lyle jumps back and runs to get the water bottles. He returns promptly and sets them next to the coach)Great now........(louder) Get...... Back!

Narrator: That was the way it was the first year. I got to wash all of the towels and carry the water bottles. Most of all I got to ride on the team bus.(We come in on the bus with a big kid that has Lyle in a head lock. Lyle is yelling in a high pitched voice)

Lyle: Let me go, Let me go, Let me go.( We see the coach move back from the front of the bus. He grabs Lyle and pushes him tword the back of the bus)

Coach: Lyle! Leave my players alone. And for the last time GET BACK!(Lyle moves to the back of the bus. He sits down in a seat next to a large pile of equipment. The bus hits a bump and the pile falls on him, knocking him to the floor. The coach can be heard from the front of the bus.)Lyle!!! If I ever see any more that behavior from you..... you're off the team.! Permanently

Narrator: It got better from then on. Henderson finally got over his need to hurt me. I made it all the way through the season with only two more humiliating beatings.
