Conseco Fieldhouse – Indianapolis, IN

MMP Vindication is on the air! More than 20, 000 fans are jammed into Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana for tonight’s event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.

Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Vindication! I’m Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer here in Indianapolis for the MMP’s annual September spectacular. Four championships will be decided right here tonight, including our main event, the big triple threat match for the MMP world title that will see The Cult Master defend his championship against both the reigning extreme champion The Ryno and the longest running midwestern champion in MMP history, “Amazing” Andrew Peters. The first man to score a fall tonight will walk out with the belt around his waist, which could very well mean that Ryno or Peters will walk out as a dual titleholder when the night ends.

Brewer: This really is the moment of truth for The Cult Master. Ever since he won the world title he has seemingly been on the verge of dropping the belt. After succeeding in his first defense against his follower The Destroyer Cult Master was defeated by disqualification by Andrew Peters at BattleGround 3 and then, in the eyes of many, he survived his Apocalypse match against The Ryno solely thanks to the officiating of Peters, whose only objective in that match was securing himself another shot at the title. Tonight Ryno and Peters will both get another shot at the belt, and I have to say I’d be very surprised if we don’t see a new champion crowned tonight.

Wood: I’m inclined to agree with you there, Ray. The Cult Master has been quite fortunate so far in his world title reign, and it will take a great deal of luck for him to survive another night against such opposition. Of course, that is only one of the four title matches we will see here tonight. We will see the long overdue return match for the television title as The Destroyer looks to regain the belt he held for several months earlier this year when he faces Twisted Steel, and Steel’s Kamp Kogler teammates Falcon and The Punisher look to capture the tag team belts as they take on Hades and Baital inside of a roofed steel cage with a lead pipe strapped to the top. Virus Richards challenges Glycerine for the universal championship, but we kick things off tonight…oh no, not again…I apologize, folks, but it looks like Schlecter Kase is going to serenade us with some more of the loud, random noise they try to pass off as music. When they’re done, we are scheduled to see the in-ring return of “Atomic Thunder” Wade Grayson as he takes on the leader of this sham of a band, Hans Krieg.

HANS KRIEG vs. “ATOMIC THUNDER” WADE GRAYSON

Schlecter Kase, minus Otto Schmerz, has their equipment set up in the ring. Hans, the singer, has a mic:

Hans: "Welcome to Vindication, and Schlecter Kase's PPV debut. Here's something new that we've been working on called "Ihre Hosen sind auf Feuer, also lache ich an Ihnen". It should give you Americans some much needed culturing."

The band started into a racket that sounded pretty much the same as everything else they had ever played in the MMP. Ring crew workers quickly hurried out from the back and started unplugging the equipment, much to the displeasure of the band members but much to the delight of the sold out crowd. While the Germans were screaming at the technicians to let them finish their set, Wade Grayson’s music started to play and “Atomic Thunder” made his way down the aisle. Gunter and Gerrit stepped out of the ring, leaving Hans alone to engage his opponent. The German singer took the early upper hand on Grayson, grabbing him in a side headlock and quickly wrestling him down to the canvas. Grayson’s power advantage made it easy for him to escape the basic hold, but when he shot up to his feet he was met with a quick thumb to the eyes from Krieg, who then whipped him off the ropes and took him over with a belly to belly suplex. Without hesitation Hans floated over and hooked Grayson in an ankle lock submission hold, but Grayson quickly scampered over to the ropes, forcing the referee to break the hold almost immediately. Hans clearly was not happy with the ruling and let the referee know about it, which diverted the attention of the official long enough for Gunter and Gerrit to pull Grayson to the floor and double team him, slamming him into the post before sending him back into the ring. When Hans saw his dazed opponent lying face down on the mat he pushed past the referee and pulled Grayson up, setting him right away in position for the Killing Fields. He slammed Grayson down to the canvas and made the cover for the 1…2…3, earning his second consecutive victory. Krieg’s bandmates jumped in the ring and joined their singer in berating Grayson, proclaiming German superiority as “Atomic Thunder” rolled out to the floor and made his way back to the dressing room holding his head. Schlecter Kase, though, didn’t leave the ring. Instead, Gunter got on the mic and said that he and Gerrit were ready for their match right away and called the team of Manslaughter and Matt Brutal out to the ring. They didn’t have to ask twice as their opponents quickly obliged the request and headed down the aisle.

SIDE PROJECT vs. MATT BRUTAL & MANSLAUGHTER

Gunter stepped out to the apron as Side Project’s opponents arrived at ringside, leaving Gerrit standing center ring daring either Brutal or Manslaughter to come and get him. Manslaughter was up to the challenge and he hurried through the ropes, only to be nailed with a running clothesline from Gerrit as soon as he was inside the ring. The ex-convict shot back up to his feet but was met right away with a series of hard kicks to the midsection that backed him into the corner from Gerrit, who then whipped his winded opponent across the ring into the Side Project corner. He reached out and tagged in Gunter, but before leaving the ring Gerrit pulled Manslaughter to his feet and locked on an abdominal stretch. As Gunter came in he nailed Manslaughter with a dropkick to the chest, and only then did Gerrit let go of the hold and get out to the apron while Gunter applied a reverse figure four on his fallen opponent. Matt Brutal had finally seen enough and he came charging into the ring to try and help his partner, but before he could get over to assist he was stopped in his tracks by Gerrit, who cut him off with a running clothesline. As Gerrit kicked Brutal out to the floor Gunter released the figure four and catapulted Manslaughter into Gerrit, who floored the man with a big boot to the face. The referee tried to get Gerrit, the illegal man in the ring, out to the apron, but it was to no avail. As Gunter rolled Manslaughter over into a Boston crab Gerrit went to the top rope and came off with a legdrop across the back of the head. After that Gerrit finally got out of the ring, allowing Gunter to make the cover and score the 1..2…3 for a very decisive win.

Wood: Side Project picks up another victory in the tag team ranks here in the MMP, a very impressive triumph over the new team of Manslaughter and Matt Brutal. Manslaughter and Brutal were never able to get that big break they needed, and the Germans took full advantage.

Brewer: There’s a lot to be said for experience as a team, Wood. This was Manslaughter’s first match in the MMP, and Matt Brutal hasn’t been in the ring in quite some time, so needless to say they haven’t had much of an opportunity to work out the kinks as a team. Gunter and Gerrit, despite the fact that they can’t play a song to save their lives, are talented wrestlers with good chemistry, and could find themselves in the tag title hunt before very long.

Wood: They could indeed, Ray. I’m sure Gunter and Gerrit will be watching very closely when Hades and Baital take on Kamp Kogler inside the steel cage a little later on tonight. Coming up next is the first of our four championship matches, a return match from a recent edition of Saturday Night Slams as Virus Richards takes on Glycerine with the universal title on the line. Let’s go back to the ring.

MMP Universal Championship Match
GLYCERINE (C) vs. VIRUS RICHARDS

The universal champion came to the ring first with his valet Vanessa by his side. The pair were also joined by a mysterious cloaked figure, the man known only as “Thunder” who had been tormenting Glycerine ever since his arrival in the MMP. “Thunder” stood calmly on the floor next to Vanessa as Glycerine entered the ring where he stood waiting for his opponent. Virus Richards then made his way out, being followed by Harbinger. As the duo got down near the ring Virus turned to Harbinger and began screaming at him, asking Harbinger if he knew what he had to do tonight and telling him to be sure he didn’t screw up again. While Virus was occupied with his follower Glycerine jumped out to the floor and decided to get the match going before the bell, nailing Virus with a clothesline from behind that dropped the challenger face first to the concrete. A slight smirk crossed Harbinger’s face as Glycerine pulled Virus up and slammed him into the safety rail before sending the Hall of Famer into the ring for the first time. Virus got up to his knees as Glycerine re-entered the ring, but once the champ was in Virus grabbed the ref and shoved him into the Cult member, distracting Glycerine long enough for him to slow the champion with a thumb to the eyes. With Glycerine temporarily blinded Virus whipped the man off the ropes and caught him on the rebound with a spinning heel kick, taking Glycerine right off his feet. He then applied a spinning toe hold, but Glycerine was able to make it over to the ropes before Virus could do much damage with the hold, forcing the referee to order the break almost immediately. Virus was livid and started screaming at the ref, positioning himself so that the referee would have his back turned to Glycerine during the discussion. While Virus was berating the official he was looking over the ref’s shoulder, watching as Harbinger made his way around to the champion. When Harbinger got to where Glycerine was, though, he did nothing, angering Virus that much more. The challenger completely ignored his opponent as he moved past the ref and started shouting at Harbinger to do his job, but before Harbinger could respond Glycerine nailed Virus with a forearm from behind. He then whipped Virus off the far side ropes and caught him coming back in with a backdrop that nearly sent Virus over the top rope. When Virus got back to his feet Glycerine was on him, hammering him with a series of hard right hands before hooking him in a side headlock and preparing to deliver a bulldog headlock. Virus, though, was able to counter, picking Glycerine up as if to deliver a belly to back suplex, but rather than falling backwards he tossed Glycerine forward, dropping the universal champion over the top rope and all the way out to the floor. The challenger quickly followed, pulling Glycerine up on the outside and whipping him into the ring post, causing the champion to hit face first against the cold, hard steel support. When he turned around he was met with a stiff superkick from Virus, knocking him flat on his back on the concrete floor. Rather than following up, though, Virus turned his attention to Harbinger once again, berating Harbinger for not following up on their pre-match strategy when Glycerine was lying over near the ropes. After shoving Harbinger down Virus grabbed Glycerine and rolled him back into the ring where he delivered a tombstone piledriver. He covered Glycerine, but only got a two count before the champ kicked out. Virus slammed his hands down on the canvas out of frustration and waved at Harbinger to get up on the apron. Harbinger slowly climbed up and Virus reached into his pants looking for a weapon. The referee went over to get Harbinger off the apron, and Virus produced a roll of silver dollars from his pants. He stood back waiting for Glycerine to get to his feet, but while Glycerine was struggling to get up, “Thunder” climbed into the ring and stood behind Virus. Before Virus could attack Glycerine “Thunder” floored the challenger with a running clothesline, sending Virus into the champion, who nailed the challenger with a kick to the midsection followed by the Ignition!! The force of the clothesline also knocked the hood off of the mysterious cloaked man, revealing former MMP world champion Blitzkrieg as the man behind the mysterious voice that had been hounding Glycerine for months. Blitz hurried out of the ring and the referee turned around to see Glycerine covering Virus for the 1…2…3. Once the match was over Harbinger climbed into the ring, looked at Glycerine, nodded, and then joined the universal champion in a brutal two-on-one attack on Virus! Before long The Destroyer made his way out to join in the assault, and then it was the MMP world champion, The Cult Master, making his way down the aisle. The leader of The Cult got in the ring and joined the beating on Virus before reaching into his robe, pulling out a microphone, and passing it to Harbinger.

Harbinger: Virus, Virus, Virus. You see it all now, don't you? You see how I have joined you, gained your confidence, and become your right-hand man in all of your schemes and dealings? It's funny, isn't it? Lowly, pathetic Harbinger, laughing stock of all single's wrestlers in the MMP, has fooled the great Virus Richards and has worked his way into every single inner working of the secretive Richards Empire!

Harbinger then passed the mic back to his master.

Cult Master: My Greater Plan has come to fruition! My game of human chess has reached checkmate! I now OWN YOU!!! Thanks to the Holy Sacrifice and great bravery of my Harbinger, I now know everything about you!!! I told you I had plans for you, did I not, Mr. Richards? I told the world that many of my Faithful Followers were working on "other projects", did I not, Mr. Richards? I do not lie, Mr. Richards, and now you know!!!

Cult Master then threw the mic down on the badly beaten Richards before leading his followers, including the returning Blitzkrieg, back to the dressing room.

Wood: I can’t believe what I just saw! Not only has Harbinger returned to the side of The Cult Master, Blitzkrieg has returned to the MMP, and it appears that HE is also aligned with The Cult as a mentor of sorts to Glycerine, who is still the universal champion!! What a wild series of events we just saw unfold!

Brewer: I have to admit it, Wood, Harbinger even had me fooled. I mean, sure he’d been out here screwing up Virus Richards’ plans for weeks and weeks on end, but I just wrote that off as Harbinger’s overall ineptness at everything that didn’t involve him being carried by Destroyer causing all the mistakes. I guess now we know he was doing it all on purpose.

Wood: And where exactly does Blitzkrieg fit into all this? Is he a full fledged member of The Cult now, or are his allegiances solely to Glycerine? A lot of questions remain unanswered here at Vindication as we get ready for our next matchup. You can see the roofed steel cage being lowered down around the ring, and that can mean only one thing. It’s time for the MMP tag team championship to be decided as Hades and Baital put the belts on the line against Kamp Kogler representatives Punisher and Falcon. This match has been a long time coming, as we have seen these four men do battle in a variety of situations – both singles and tag team action – with controversial endings being almost a given. Tonight we hope to see a decisive winner declared, inside the confines of the steel cage.

MMP Tag Team Championship
Roofed Steel Cage Ladder/Pipe Match
HADES & BAITAL (C) vs. FALCON & THE PUNISHER

As the ring crew was making the final preparations securing the cage around the ring, the tag team champions came running in through the crowd and climbed through the door even before everything was in place. Seeing Hades and Baital arriving early the crew hurried and finished the preparations, leaving the champions alone in the ring. Before the challengers could even be introduced Baital walked over and picked up the ladder, setting it up in the middle of the ring underneath where the lead pipe had been strapped to the roof of the cage. He started to climb right away while Hades held onto the door, keeping it shut. Falcon and Punisher, after seeing what was happening on a monitor in the back, came running down the aisle to try and stop Baital, but with Hades holding the door of the cage closed the challengers were kept out long enough for Baital to get to the top and unlatch the pipe from the roof. As he climbed back down Hades released the door, and the two men dared the challengers to enter, knowing full well the advantage that the weapon gave them. To their credit the Kamp Kogler team showed no fear, getting right into the cage and going after their opposition immediately. Hades took Punisher over with a simple hiptoss while Baital swung the pipe wildly at Falcon’s head. The luchador, though, managed to use his agility to avoid the attack from his much larger opponent and slide under the pipe, taking Baital down with a drop toehold while the titleholder was caught off balance. Baital struck the canvas face first, causing him to drop the pipe, which went rolling over towards the side of the ring. Falcon then dropped a leg down across the back of Baital’s head, but rather than following up the Mexican took time to gloat to the fans on the outside, drawing a mild chorus of jeers from the sold out crowd. This proved to be a mistake, as it allowed Baital to slowly roll over to where the pipe lay and knock it over towards Hades, who had been pounding Punisher with a series of hard kicks to the shoulder. Hades reached down and picked up the pipe, and when Falcon turned back after his celebration Hades ran over and nailed Falcon right between the eyes with the weapon, knocking Falcon flat on his back. He then turned his attention back to Punisher, who was struggling to his feet. Once Punisher was up he too was a recipient of a shot from the pipe, enabling both members of the championship team to go to work double teaming their biker opponent. While Hades and Baital continued to hammer on Punisher, they didn’t notice Falcon slowly starting to move. With the High Society team’s backs still turned, Falcon actually managed to pull himself up with the aid of the ropes, but he didn’t stop there…Falcon started climbing the cage. He climbed about halfway up the side and looked back over his shoulder, waiting for Hades and Baital to turn around. When they finally did Falcon came off the wall with a moonsault, knocking both champions down and actually drawing a small pop from the crowd. Remarkably both Falcon and Punisher seemed to be getting their second wind, as Punisher also battled back to his feet. With Hades and Baital down Falcon walked over and picked up the ladder, which hadn’t been used at all since Baital used it to get the pipe before the match started, and when the champions started to stumble to their feet he used the ladder to clothesline both Hades and Baital simultaneously. Falcon then pulled Baital up and whipped him into Punisher, who scooped Baital up and took him over with a crushing powerslam. When Hades got to his feet once again Falcon attempted to take him over with a huracanrana, but Hades caught him in mid air and instead slammed the luchador hard to the canvas with a powerbomb. Hades then grabbed the pipe once again and interrupted Punisher’s stomping of Baital by clubbing him across the back with High Society’s weapon of choice. Punisher went down hard, landing face first on the canvas. With all three other men down on the mat, Hades started digging for something in his tights. Finally he pulled out a pair of handcuffs, and after dragging Punisher over to the corner he used the cuffs to chain the biker to the ropes, rendering him unable to assist his partner. All looked bleak for Kamp Kogler when suddenly the reigning television champion, Twisted Steel, came running out from the dressing room with his trusty crowbar in hand. He ran right up to the side of the cage where Falcon was and passed the weapon in to him in an attempt to even up the odds, which initially it did. While Hades was berating Punisher in the corner, Falcon got back to his feet and slowly stalked his adversary. He waited for Hades to turn around before slamming him across the forehead with the crowbar, knocking Hades out could. Unfortunately for Falcon, though, he wasn’t the only one sneaking up on his opponent with a weapon. When Falcon turned around he had only a split second to react before Baital hit him in the face with the top portion of the ladder, causing Falcon to spin around in mid air before he hit the canvas. Baital then pulled Falcon out towards the middle of the ring where he opened up the ladder. He placed the Mexican’s leg in between the two legs of the ladder and slammed the top part down, not once, not twice, but three times, nearly breaking Falcon’s leg in the process. Finally Baital pushed the ladder aside and hooked Falcon in a figure four leglock, right in the center of the ring. Punisher, still handcuffed in the corner, was powerless to help his partner, while Twisted Steel was stuck on the outside with a steel wall between him and his stablemates. Falcon tried to pull his way over to the ropes to try and force a break, but Baital’s considerable weight advantage made that impossible. After repeatedly refusing to give up Falcon collapsed to the canvas, his shoulders down, and the ref counted 1…2…3, enabling Hades and Baital to retain the belts. The cage was then raised and the champions went quickly back to the locker room, leaving the referee and Twisted Steel to try and figure out a way to free Punisher from the cuffs.

Wood: A big win for High Society tonight as Hades and Baital are still the MMP tag team champions after a hard fought win over Kamp Kogler. Not even Twisted Steel’s attempt at a late assist was enough to put Punisher and Falcon over the top.

Brewer: Well, I see someone has finally found a pair of bolt cutters and they’ve got Punisher freed from the handcuffs. For all the running at the mouth Adam Kogler has done over the past few weeks about this tag team match, his boys sure didn’t live up to their end of the bargain. If Twisted Steel can’t get past Destroyer in our next match, I’m afraid of the crying fit we’re likely to see out here from that little Long Island scum.

Wood: The one thing that’s for sure is we are going to see your good friend Adam Kogler out here, Ray. As you mentioned the MMP TV title is going to be at stake next in the long anticipated return match between the champion Twisted Steel and the former titleholder, The Destroyer.

MMP Television Championship Match
TWISTED STEEL (C) vs. THE DESTROYER

The champion made his way to the ring first, accompanied as Jerry Wood predicted by Adam Kogler. Kogler was still steaming after the result of the previous match, angered to the point that he didn’t even bother cutting a promo on his way down to the ring. He simply took the TV belt from around Steel’s waist as the champion got into the ring to wait on his opponent. Destroyer then came down the aisle, flanked by the usual contingent of Cult minions. As Destroyer entered the ring Kogler jumped up on the apron and tried to divert the challenger’s attention, but it was no use – Destroyer was totally focused on the task at hand. He completely ignored Kogler’s presence and locked up with Steel right away. The challenger’s overwhelming size and strength advantage came into play immediately as he violently shoved Steel to the canvas with ease, leaving Steel with a perplexed look on his face as if he had forgotten just how powerful Destroyer was. He quickly shot back up to his feet, only to be taken down by a running clothesline from the big man, who was dominating Steel in the early going much like he did most of his other opponents. When the challenger pulled Steel up to his feet he bent over to grab Steel’s leg, but while he was doubled over Steel nailed him with a hard elbowsmash to the back of the head, temporarily dazing the gigantic challenger. While Destroyer was trying to recompose himself Steel nailed him with a short dropkick right to the kneecap, dropping Destroyer down to one knee. Steel then quickly jumped on his opponent’s back and applied a sleeperhold, doing everything in his power to keep the big man off his feet. Destroyer didn’t stay in the hold for long, though, as his thick neck took away a lot of the effect that a sleeperhold would have had. He reached back and fired a series of elbows into Steel’s midsection and fought his way back to his feet before one final elbowsmash broke the hold. Once the hold was broken Destroyer whipped Steel off the far side ropes and went for a clothesline, but Steel ducked out of the way and as he came off the opposite side he caught Destroyer with a flying bodypress. Destroyer caught Steel in mid air and stumbled back towards the ropes, but he stayed on his feet and positioned Steel for a slam. At the last minute, though, Steel raked Destroyer’s eyes and pressed forward, sending both men tumbling over the top rope and out to the floor. Both men hit hard, but it was Steel that was first up to his feet. He pulled Destroyer up and went to whip him into the ring post but Destroyer reversed it and it was Steel that went head long into the post. Destroyer then went over to pull Steel up again, but before he could Adam Kogler came running around the ring and kicked the big man square in the backside! The challenger stopped cold in his tracks and turned to face Kogler, but rather than hitting the journalist like so many fans were hoping for Destroyer simply pointed behind Kogler where the Cult minions that accompanied Destroyer to the ring had gathered. When Kogler turned around he was swarmed by the minions, who wrestled him to the ground and started hammering on him while Destroyer turned back to Steel. After slamming Steel into the post one more time Destroyer called the minions off Kogler and lifted Steel high in the air in a gorilla press slam. The minions did as instructed and backed away, allowing Kogler to slowly pull himself up as he gasped for breath. Once he was back to his feet, though, Destroyer threw Steel right down on his manager, drawing a loud ovation from the crowd. Destroyer then rolled Steel back into the ring. He slowly followed the champion in, yanked Steel to his feet, and set him up for a northern lights suplex, but he only got Steel halfway up before the champion, out of total desperation, managed to counter with a DDT, driving Destroyer head first down into the canvas. Both men were down in the center of the ring, but the attention of the fans was turned to what was happening on the outside. Falcon and The Punisher were running down towards the ring just as Destroyer was getting to his feet. Once the big man was up the first thing he saw was Kamp Kogler up on the apron. He went right over to the two intruders and nailed them with a big double clothesline, knocking both men down to the floor. With Destroyer’s back turned Adam Kogler ran over to the timekeeper’s table and snatched the TV title belt, which he tossed into the ring right to Steel. The champion then shot to his feet, hurried over to Destroyer, and nailed him with a chop block right to the back of the knee. Destroyer collapsed to one knee, and while the referee was yelling at Punisher and Falcon to get away from the ring Steel nailed Destroyer right in the face with the TV title belt, dropping the big man flat on his back. Adam Kogler jumped up on the ring apron to keep the attention of the official, allowing Steel to go up to the second rope with the title belt. After wrapping the belt around his leg Steel jumped off and delivered a kneedrop right across Destroyer’s forehead, driving the belt right into the big man’s face!! Destroyer grabbed his face in agony as Steel rolled him up, and after Kogler jumped down from the apron the ref turned around to count the 1…2…3. Once the match was over Steel grabbed his belt and hurried back to the locker room with Kogler, Punisher, and Falcon in tow, leaving Destroyer alone in the ring with the minions attempting to help him.

Wood: Twisted Steel steals another one and has escaped Vindication as the MMP television champion. This twice now that Steel has gotten past Destroyer by the skin of his teeth.

Brewer: Yeah, that’s true, and I hate to have to listen to Adam Kogler run around telling everyone about how he’s responsible for Steel’s success, but you have to give the champion credit. The ultimate fact is that he did get by tonight and he is still the TV champion, and when you go into a title match that’s all you can really hope for.

Wood: I know that’s your philosophy, Ray, but I can’t help but wonder what would happen if Steel and Destroyer ever truly met in a one-on-one situation, with no distractions from Kamp Kogler, no managers on the outside throwing foreign objects into the ring…just two men doing battle until one emerged as the winner. I don’t know if we’ll ever get to see that, but you can’t deny it would be interesting. Well, it has all come down to this. One final match with the MMP world championship on the line. The Cult Master defends against two men simultaneously, two men that many people feel were cheated out of their opportunities to win the title earlier this summer. Tonight both Andrew Peters and The Ryno get another shot, a shot to establish themselves as the top man in this business today.

MMP World Championship
Triple Threat Match
THE CULT MASTER (C) vs. THE RYNO vs. “AMAZING” ANDREW PETERS

The first man out to the ring was Ryno, who was proudly wearing his MMP extreme title belt around his waist as he stepped into the ring. He drew a loud ovation from the sold out Indianapolis crowd as he held the belt high for all to see before passing it off to the referee. “Thunder Kiss ‘65” then played over the loudspeaker, but Andrew Peters was nowhere to be found. Instead only Amanda came down the aisle, and the valet for the reigning midwestern champion hopped right up on the apron and started screaming at Ryno in a very high pitched voice. Ryno slowly moved towards Amanda, who kept yelling at the extreme champion while moving around towards the corner and slowly backing down the steps. While Ryno had his back turned Peters finally made his appearance, running in through the crowd and sliding into the ring, nailing Ryno with a running kneelift to the back that sent Ryno sternum first into the turnbuckle. Ryno fell to his knees in the corner and Peters went right to work on his co-challenger, stomping him repeatedly in the knees and the referee waved frantically for the bell to start the match. While Peters was working over Ryno The Cult Master’s lengthy entrance procession began and the reigning MMP world champion made his way down the aisle with his two most loyal followers, Harbinger and The Destroyer. Once he arrived at the ring, however, Cult Master did not get in the ring. Instead he stood solemnly on the ring apron and watched as his two opponents did battle while he simply rested on the outside. Meanwhile, in the ring, Peters continued to dominate Ryno. He nailed the extreme champion with a series of hard chops across the chest after pulling him to his feet, and then went for an Irish whip across the ring. Ryno, though, held his ground and reversed the whip, sending Peters crashing right into Cult Master, knocking the champion off the apron to the floor! The fans cheered again when they saw Cult Master being forced into the match by the clear cut fan favorite, who then nearly took Peters’ head off with a running clothesline. Ryno ignored Cult Master on the outside and started stomping away on Peters, the man who Ryno blamed for costing him the world title in August at Apocalypse. Finally Cult Master got into the ring for the first time, and in a somewhat surprising move he joined Ryno in stomping Peters into the canvas in the center of the ring. The champion then backed off and Ryno leaned down to berate Peters, but while Ryno was preoccupied with taunting his opponent Cult Master was measuring his one vertical challenger. When Ryno turned around Cult Master caught him with a pair of stiff European uppercuts followed by a kneelift to the midsection and a DDT. With Ryno down Cult Master turned his attention to Peters, who he pulled up to his feet and doubled over for a piledriver, but before Cult Master could deliver the move Peters countered, sending Cult Master over with a backdrop. Peters paused momentarily to gloat in front of the fans before yanking Ryno up and nailing him with a second DDT and going for the first cover of the match. Ryno managed to kick out after only a two count, and rather than following up on his last offensive move, Peters rolled out to the floor to talk to Amanda. He whispered something in his valet’s ear and she quickly ran back to the locker room while the reigning midwestern champion walked over and took a seat with Wood and Brewer at the announce table. Inside the ring Cult Master was the first man to his feet and he took full advantage of Ryno’s weakened condition, kicking him in the chest twice before pulling him up to his feet and backing him into the ropes. Cult Master whipped Ryno across the ring and went for a clothesline, but Ryno ducked under and bounced off the ropes a second time. When he came back he nailed Cult Master with a big flying tackle that knocked the world champion half way across the ring. The momentum in the match was clearly shifting in Ryno’s favor, which brought the fans to their feet. The extreme champ pulled Cult Master to his feet and nailed an inverted DDT, yet he didn’t go for a cover. He pulled Cult Master up again, looked out towards Peters, and lifted the world champion in position for a gorilla press slam. Peters shot to his feet in anticipation that Ryno was about to toss the champion over the top onto him on the floor, but instead Ryno inexplicably collapsed to the canvas, flat on his back, dropping Cult Master down on top of him in a pinning position. The ref counted two before Peters realized what was happening and dove into the ring, but by the time he got in it was too late. The official’s hand hit the canvas for the third time, giving the win to The Cult Master. Once the bell sounded Ryno shot to his feet and jumped out of the ring, grabbing his extreme title belt before looking up at Peters and laughing loudly about how he had screwed him out of a chance at the world title. Harbinger and Destroyer pulled their master, still the world champion, out to the floor and the camera closed in on a close-up shot of a livid Andrew Peters as the scene fades to black.
