Market Square Arena Indianapolis, IN

MMP Vindication is on the air! The Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana is packed to capacity for tonight’s mega event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.

Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Vindication! I’m Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer where tonight, as you can see by the bizarre five-ring formation in front of us, we will see for the first time in the MMP the unparalleled genocidal warfare match. Sixteen of the top stars in the MMP will battle it out, first in the four corner rings that you see surrounded with steel cells and then finally in the center ring, which will have it’s ropes replaced by barbed wire for the final match of the evening. We will also see the return of two names from the MMP’s past for that final when Diamond King and Ace Manley, the two men who captained the teams in the first even genocidal warfare match last spring in the Hardcore Wrestling Alliance, will be here to serve as the special guest referees.

Brewer: Things have been happening all day here in Indy, and before we get to tonight’s event we have two huge pieces of information to pass on regarding the genocidal warfare match. After what happened with The Syndicate this past weekend, the rules have been changed slightly for tonight’s event. Instead of the match continuing until members of only one team remained, it will now go on until only one man is left standing, meaning that fifteen of the top wrestlers in the MMP will leave the building here tonight on the losing end of the stick. We have also learned that the winner of tonight’s event will be named the number-one contender to the MMP world championship and will receive a shot at the title at our next PPV event, MMP Moonlight, scheduled for late October.

Wood: Two huge announcements indeed. As if things weren’t complicated enough with these randomly drawn teams in the first tier, the participants will now have even more on their minds headed into the most grueling competition we’ve ever had in the MMP. We kick things of tonight with a showcase of some of the new talent that has entered the MMP over the past month or so. Five men will compete in a pentagon match, one fall to a finish, for bragging rights amongst the newcomers. Let’s go to the ring to get Vindication underway!

Pentagon Match
”AMAZING” ANDREW PETERS vs. HASSAN ABU SAADA vs. MALICE vs. LEONARD “CUP” COOPER vs. THE ADVOCATE

Blue lights hit the entrance way as Andrew Peters, fresh off his win over Ouija Lullabye on SNS, made his way to the ring with Amanda. The other competitors came down one by one, ending with Cup’s arrival on horseback. Cooper tied the horse to the ring post and slid into the ring, but as the opening bell rang, Peters ducked out to the floor. At the sound of the bell, Hassan and The Advocate surprised the fans and teamed up, double teaming Malice. Peters looked on from the floor, conversing with Amanda while the others in the ring battled, but Cooper wasn’t about to let him slide that easily. Cup came down to the floor and charged right after Peters, but Andrew ducked under the clothesline attempt and kicked Cup in the midsection before taking him over with a snap suplex on the floor. Leaving Cooper on the floor, Peters climbed into the ring for the first time and went right after his scheduled opponent for the upcoming Saturday Night Slams, Hassan Abu Saada, and nailed the “Egyptian Monarch” in the back of the head with a dropkick. The Advocate turned to see what happened to his ally, but was met with a right hand across the face from Peters, and the two traded blows back and forth in the middle of the ring, with neither man gaining a decisive advantage. With his two attackers subdued, Malice got his second wind, stomping away on Hassan and dropping a pair of quick elbows across the sternum. Unnoticed by the four contestants in the ring, Cup was starting to stir on the outside and slowly slumped up on the apron and pulled himself into the ring. He got up and went right after Andrew Peters and delivered a weak double axhandle blow across the back, but it had almost no effect on the Miami native. Instead, Peters spun around quickly and grabbed both Cup and Advocate and slammed their heads together. Cup went down like a ton of bricks and Advocate was staggered. Peters grabbed the wrestling attorney and Irish whipped him…directly into the referee! The official went down, and the force of the whip sent Advocate out under the bottom rope to the floor. On the other side of the ring, Malice nailed Hassan with a piledriver and locked on the Painful Pleasure! With the official down, Peters saw his opportunity and called out to Amanda on the floor, who grabbed a steel chair from the timekeeper and passed it in to her man. Coming up on his opponent from behind, Peters wound up with the chair and delivered a crushing blow across the back of the head of Malice, breaking the hold and dropping both Hassan and Malice to the canvas. Peters tossed the chair aside and went over to revive the referee, but as he did, Cup got back to his feet. Cooper attacked Peters again, but Andrew simply spun around and nailed Cup with a forearm shot to the jaw before rolling him into a small package. The referee shook off the cobwebs and very slowly made the three count.

Wood: So Andrew Peters has come away with the pentagon match, coming out on the winning end tonight over four of the other newcomers in the MMP.

Brewer: This is a bit of a cheapie, Wood, getting a quick pin over “Cup” Cooper. The guy belongs in the CWO. It’s gonna be a different story this weekend when he has to go one on one with Hassan Abu Saada.

Wood: Many of the other men in that match will have a chance at redemption in additional matches, but up first we have an “I Quit” match featuring two men looking to move up in the rankings here in the MMP. Both Hyoga and Perry Sanders have received title shots here and there over the past couple of months, but neither has been able to secure a championship. The winner here should have a chance at moving up the ladder and getting back into contention for a minor title.

”I Quit” Match
PERRY SANDERS vs. HYOGA

Perry opened up fast and furious with a flurry of roundhouse kicks, backing Hyoga up against the ropes and taking him down with a spinning heel kick. Sanders stayed on Hyoga, waiting for him to get up and nailing him with a legsweep before slapping on a leg grapevine. The Swiss star struggled his way over to the ropes to force the break, but Perry didn’t let up. When Hyoga pulled himself up Perry caught him with a running bulldog, and the Oakland native was in total control. Tossing Hyoga off the ropes Perry went for a clothesline, but Hyoga ducked under and bounded off the other side…only to be lifted up in a Death Valley Driver. With Hyoga down and out, Perry dragged him to the corner and nailed a stardust press before slapping on an ankle lock. Hyoga tried to fight back, but Perry’s positioning added extra pressure on the leg and Hyoga eventually had no choice but to give the match up. He told the referee “I Quit”, and the match was stopped with the decision going to Sanders.

Wood: A big win for Perry Sanders tonight over Hyoga, as Sanders looks to get back into contention for both the TV and midwestern titles here in the MMP.

Brewer: It was only a matter of time before Sanders got something going. I’ve seen him backstage quite a bit over the past couple of weeks, and it’s clear that what happened with his son is still eating away at him. I’m just surprised that it took him this long to concentrate that energy into an improvement in the ring.

Wood: You do have to understand, though, that Sanders suffered from an extended bout of depression after that loss to Korso back in February and was inactive for many months. Sometimes it can take a while to get back what you once had, shaking the so-called “ring rust” and getting back into form. Our next match was, as of a week ago, scheduled to be for the MMP television championship, but with Soul Crusher capturing the belt from Brick Stevens this past weekend on Saturday Night Slams, there has been a change in plans. Tonight’s match will be a non-title affair, although I’m sure the winner will find himself right at the front of the line in terms of challengers for Crusher’s gold. Hassan Abu Saada looks to rebound from the disappointment of the pentagon match against a member of the CWO up next.

HASSAN ABU SAADA vs. BRICK STEVENS

Hassan came to the ring first, accompanied by a full compliment of slaves and belly dancers. As the group waited on Stevens’ arrival, Hassan shouted instructions to one of his workers, ordering him to get down and shine Hassan’s sandals while he waited. Brick then made his entrance, accompanied by the entire CWO. He was topless with African tribal symbols painted all over his torso. Hobo Richard was wearing a mask and a full safari outfit and China Town Lee was wearing a cheap suit and was carrying a doctor’s bag, insisting that he be called Dr. China Town Lee. When Brick stepped into the ring, Hassan shouted further instructions at the slaves, ordering them to chase the CWO away from ringside. He then pulled a muffin out of his pocket, held it high for Brick to see, and then tossed it over Brick’s head into the crowd. Brick turned to go after it, slapping his belly and yelling nonsense at the crowd, but Hassan came up on him from behind and applied a cobra clutch. Hassan sinched the move on tightly, and Brick quickly went out. The official checked Brick’s arm and, seeing that he was not responding, he called for the bell and awarded the match to Hassan.

Wood: As might have been expected, Hassan Abu Saada comes away with the win here this evening, knocking off the former TV champion in near record time.

Brewer: yeah, I was starting to wonder what you were talking about when you started saying that maybe the winner would get a title shot at Soul Crusher. The winner? Did you think there was any doubt that Brick Stevens was going to get beaten and beaten badly here in Indy tonight?

Wood: It’s called being unbiased, Ray. Anything is possible. You wouldn’t have thought Brick would ever win the TV title, would you? Brick’s tag team partner is up next, and much like Brick before him, he will be facing a man looking to avenge what happened in the pentagon match earlier in the evening. Mr. Beumont is set to take on Malice.

MALICE vs. MR. BEUMONT

Mr. Beumont came to the ring first, accompanied by the entire CWO, except for Brick who was reportedly lying on the CWO dressing room floor trying to catch his breath from the previous match. Beumont was carrying a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey. When he got to the ring he took a sip, but the bottle was empty. Beumont then started screaming at the hobos on the floor, and tossed the bottle right at Welfare William. Will covered up and yelled at Beumont to leave him alone when Malice’s music hit and Beumont’s opponent came out. He was also carrying a bottle of Jack Daniels, but this one was full. Malice had told Beumont earlier that if he could remain conscious throughout the match that he would give him the bottle. Malice set his offering in the corner, but before locking up with Beumont, he pulled a bag of loose change out of his tights and dumped it all around the ring. The CWO members went crazy, scurrying over to pick up the money as quick as possible. Beumont tried to get out to the floor to get his share, but Malice grabbed him from behind and slapped on the Painful Pleasure. Beumont gave up almost immediately and took off to the outside to grab some of the change. He also grabbed the bottle of Jack Daniels that Malice had brought out and high tailed it to the back with his associates.

Wood: Another fairly lopsided match involving the CWO, as Malice picks up his first win in the MMP. Before we go on, though, I understand that our cameras have picked up something a little disturbing backstage. Take it away.

The camera picks up a shot of April Lane sitting outside The Legion of Heroes’ locker room. Steve Lewin approaches her to ask what’s going on, but April is in hysterics. Lewin waits patiently for a chance to ask some questions, but there is no break in her tears. The reporter and cameraman eventually walk away, not wanting to disturb the woman.

Wood: Could this have something to do with the six-man tag team match scheduled up next? Masked Man X and The Fighting Heroes are supposed to be out here to face the Anti-Cult in our next match, but April doesn’t look like she’s ready to come out here at all. Well, I don’t really know what to say, but it’s time to send it back to the ring for a hardcore tag team matchup.

Falls Count Anywhere Match
MASKED MAN X & THE FIGHTING HEROES vs. HOT CRIMSON, TAO TE CHING & LEONARD “CUP” COOPER

”My Hero” played over the loudspeaker first, but only Ying and Yang made their way out. For some unknown reason, Masked Man X was nowhere to be found. They told the referee that they were set to go, and their opponents then made their way down to the ring. Cup was introduced first, accompanied by Rusty the Dog and a wild pig that had been following the dog around lately. He stepped into the ring and set down a duffel bag as Tao Te Ching cme out. Tonight Tao came down to new entrance music, as his traditional chants had been replaced by Korn’s “Freak on a Leash”. He came down wearing a samurai outfit and carrying a lead pipe in hand. He got in the ring and went over last minute strategy with Cup while Crimson's music played. Nobody showed, so the music was played again....still nobody. The ref eventually called for the bell, making this a regular tag team match. Tao Te Ching backed up a little, hit a back hand spring then lunges forward towards Yang's knees with the lead pipe. Ying went after Cup with a dropkick but Cooper moved out of the way, pulling out a handful of cow manure and shoving it right in Ying’s face. Tao then started choking Yang with the pipe while Cup went over to his duffel bag and pulled out a video tape. The southerner started ripping the ribbon out of the cassette and used it to choke Ying as Tao put Yang in a sharpshooter. Yang didn’t hold on long before tapping out, giving the match to the Anti-Cult. After the match, Tao grabbed the mic while Cup pulled a bottle of Jack Daniels out of his bag for a little celebratory beverage.

Tao Te Ching: Where are you Hot Crimson? I saw you backstage, you know we had a match today! COME OUT HERE AND FACE ME.......MAN TO BLOOD SUCKING LEECH!

The lights went out and Crimson’s music played yet again as a man in a red cloak made his way very slowly down the aisle. Tao grabbed his pipe and started attacking the cloaked man, but before long Harbinger came out from the crowd and chased Tao back to the ring. The cloaked man removed his disguise, revealing a bald-headed Hot Crimson underneath. He stood side by side with Harbinger as the Anti-Cult symbol was lowered from the ceiling. Once it was down to about fifty feet above the ring, the symbol burst into flames. Crimson and Harbinger then turned simultaneously and headed back to the dressing room as The Cult Master’s voice came over the loudspeaker.

Cult Master: "Hot Crimson! You, my son, have done much to impress my Faithful Follower, Harbinger. As such, wayward soul, you have impressed me! Let us throw away our past differences. Let your soul finally adopt a home! Come, join the arms of The Cult, and join me on the road to victory in our Holy Crusade!"

Tao Te Ching: You have made your decision, you left us after we were brothers to you. I figured you would join that horrible group. So I got some of my own "family" to support. Shall we show them who we talk about Cup?

Cup raises his bottle and starts to take off his shirt. Tao also takes off his shirt revealing a "Jokers Ranking System" shirt. Cup takes off his liquor soaked shirt revealing a "CWO For Rice" shirt. The Saint and the CWO then made their way down to the ring to officially accept the newest members of The Family.

Wood: Can you believe what we just saw? I never thought I’d see the day when Hot Crimson joined The Cult, never mind Tao and Cup joining The Family!

Brewer: Are you kidding? I think it’s only fitting that Cup be lumped in with Beumont and the rest of those transients. Tao and Crimson are bafflers, though. I thought Crimson was and The Cult would be at each other’s throats until one of them was run out of the MMP.

Wood: It looks like both The Cult and The Family have momentum on their side heading into the genocidal warfare match, which is about ready to get underway. The ring crew is working as we speak to get the barbed wire in place on the center ring, and the participants are about to be introduced. Without any further adieu, we send you back to the ring for genocidal warfare!

Commish’s note: The four tag team matches are taking place simultaneously.

Hell in a Cell
CLUB TWILIGHT vs. SCOTT WORTH & THE DESTROYER

With most of the warfare participants already in the rings, “Kashmir” blared over the loudspeaker. Bootlegger headed down to ringside with not only Onyx Cooper and The Bootleggerettes, but also Scott Worth. Worth was laughing and shaking hands with Boot the whole time, and it looked like the two men were back together again. Boot reached into his tights and pulled out a couple of hundred dollar bills, handing them to Worth who counded them as the trio headed into the cell. The three circled Destroyer, laughing as they stalked their prey. Worth then stuck out his arms, telling Cooper and Barlotta that he wanted Destroyer all to himself. As they relaxed their guard, Worth turned and nailed Onyx and Boot with a double clothesline! He then pulled out the cash that Boot had given him and dropped it at Barlotta’s feet before offering Destroyer a handshake, symbolizing that there would be no double-cross. As Destroyer reluctantly accepted Worth’s hand, Cooper slid over and nailed the extreme champion with a low blow, and the match was underway. At the same time, Bootlegger nailed Worth with a kick below the belt and a DDT, allowing him to join Cooper in an early double team on the massive Cult member. Worth started to move, but Bootlegger was focused on him, dragging his former ally out to the floor and raking his face across the cage. Cooper then shouted to Bootlegger from the ring and the two men switched, with Onyx going after Worth and Bootlegger coming back in to attack Destroyer. Worth charged Cooper, but Onyx ducked out of the way and caught Worth with a drop toehold that slammed the former bouncer face first into the steel ring steps. Bootlegger started to pull Destroyer back to his feet, but when he did he was caught in the face with a fireball shooting out of an apparatus in Destroyer’s hand. The fans watching this match cheered loudly as they saw Barlotta hit the canvas in excruciating pain, holding his face and rolling on the mat in agony. Destroyer then went over to a bag in the corner and pulled out a small spray bottle and shot it’s contents into Bootlegger’s face, but Barlotta’s reaction showed that it wasn’t water in the bottle. Destroyer pulled his hand away to reveal the label, which identified the liquid as diluted acid! Bootlegger was in rough shape but, while Cooper hammered on Scott Worth on the floor between the ring and the cell, he wasn’t done yet. Going back over to his bag, he pulled out a hand-held fruit peeler which he repeatedly raked across the former universal champion’s back. Cooper tossed Worth back into the ring before going over to help out his partner, nailing Destroyer with a dropkick to the back, but the big man wasn’t phased. He turned around and grabbed Cooper, hitting him with a thunderous headbutt before whipping him towards Worth, who floored Cooper with a big boot to the face. Destroyer then grabbed Cooper and tossed him through the ropes to the floor as Worth sent Bootlegger off the ropes and caught him with a sidewalk slam. Looking for the finish, Worth stood the badly beaten Bootlegger back on his feet and went for the Elder’s Vengeance heart punch, but Barlotta looked ready for the move and ducked under the shot, jumping up on Worth’s back out of desperation and applying a sleeperhold. Bootlegger, barely conscious himself, held on for dear life as Worth went down to one knee. The referee checked Worth’s arm, but before it could drop a second time The Destroyer got back in the ring and broke the hold with a crushing forearm to the head of The Bootlegger. The extreme champion delivered a crushing backbreaker on Bootlegger while Worth stumbled slowly back to his feet. Destroyer grabbed Bootlegger yet again, but Barlotta rebounded and nailed the massive Cult member with a low blow as Cooper, who had recovered from Destroyer’s attack on the floor, came flying off the top rope and nailed Scott Worth with an Edge bulldog!! While Destroyer was doubled over, Onyx rolled Worth over and hooked the leg for the three count, putting himself and Bootlegger into the final.

Hell in a Cell
THE JOKER’S CHILD & “STUNNING” STEVE SIMON vs. DAARK & THE CULT MASTER

Cult minions were surrounding the ring in support of their leaders, but it was clear that Daark and Cult Master had the advantage going into this one. While they had a definite chemistry with one another, that chemistry was equaled only by the hatred that existed between Joker and Simon. As soon as the opening bell sounded, Joker ran up from behind and nailed the official in the back of the head with his MMP tag team championship belt! The ref went down like a ton of bricks, and it brought about tension between Joker and SSS right from the beginning. The two men started arguing, but as soon as Simon turned to go after one of their opponents, Joker nailed him with the belt as well! Joker then went over and took a seat on the top turnbuckle, telling Daark and Cult Master that he was all theirs. With Joker watching on, the two Cult members tore into Simon with unparalleled ferocity. Cult Master backed Simon into the corner with a series of European uppercuts before Daark laid into him with thrusts to the throat. Simon staggered out of the corner, but was nailed immediately with a flying lariat from the reigning universal champion. The Cult stayed on Simon, with Cult Master picking him up and nailing a German suplex. As the referee started to stir, Cult Master picked Simon up again while Daark went to the top rope. Cult Master then delivered a brainbuster, but just as Simon hit, Daark came off the top and cracked Simon’s skull with a kamakazi headbutt. Daark then stepped aside, allowing Cult Master to make the cover for the three count to put himself and Daark on to the second tier.

CAPTAIN PATRICK O’CONNER & GEORGE ACHICA vs. VIRUS RICHARDS & DR. NO LIMIT

Virus had Michael on the outside as always, but for the first time in a few months, he brought out Helicopter Charlie, the man who had been in charge of flying DNL around during the time when the midwestern champion was in Virus’ employ back in the summer. DNL was wearing a Commission for Fair Play and Sportsmanship shirt, the same one he used to wear when he and Virus were a tag team in GX. The two exchanged angry glances while George offered O’Conner his condolences on what had happened to Paulina. O’Conner seemed to accept, and made a temporary pact with George to work together like they had done in the past. The former best friends were clicking like days of old early on as George floored DNL with a lariat at the same time that O’Conner took Virus over with a huracanrana, catching the tag team champion off guard. DNL shot back to his feet and George went for a second lariat, but this time DNL ducked and caught George with a chop block to the back of his legs, bringing the big Samoan down to one knee. O’Conner whipped Virus into the turnbuckle and caught his longtime rival with an avalanche, but behind his back DNL was having his way with George, taking the big man down with a legsweep before connecting with a series of kneedrops. The Captain whipped Virus across the ring to the opposite corner, but when he charged in Richards was waiting for him, reaching into his pocket and pulling something out which he used to strike O’Conner in the forehead. The world champ hit the canvas hard and when the cameras finally got a close shot of what the object was it showed that what Virus had was an old bottle of Geritol filled with concrete. With O’Conner out of the picture, Virus started shouting instructions at DNL. The two men nailed George with a double suplex before Virus, like Joker was doing in his match, went over and sat on the top turnbuckle to watch the action, all the while shouting orders at his tag team partner. With Virus distracted, O’Conner rolled out to the floor and started sneaking around the ring behind his opponent. DNL stayed on George, but while Virus’ attentions were diverted, O’Conner shot up onto the apron and nailed Richards with a dropkick, sending Virus off the top rope to the floor. The crowd cheered loudly as Virus struck the concrete, and O’Conner quickly rolled back in to help George. O’Conner spun DNL around and nailed him with a series of three stiff right crosses that sent the midwestern champion right into a thunderous headbutt from Achica that put him down. Both George and O’Conner bounced off the ropes, with O’Conner taking out DNL’s legs as Achica nailed a version of the Coconut Express. Virus pulled himself up on the outside and slid back into the ring, but it was too late. The referee counted three, and O’Conner and George had advanced.

Genocidal Warfare – 1st Tier
Hell in a Cell
PSYCHOTIC SAM & “CORRUPT” JOHN KORSO

Korso was accompanied to the ring by George, who wished his boss luck before heading over to ring #3 for his match against Virus and DNL. Sam had his usual entourage with him, being joined at ringside by The Saint and Mike the Giant Retard, who was carrying Marbels the Cat. Sam and Korso, who had apparently come to an understanding about a week ago, seemed to have the advantage in terms of cohesiveness as Ryno and Harbinger were arguing with each other even before the bell sounded. That all changed as the match got underway when Ryno and Harbinger showed some early signs of unity as Ryno grabbed his partner and whipped him into Korso. The rabid man took Korso down with a stunning tackle and mounted his back, raking Korso’s eyes while digging his front teeth into his opponent’s scalp. When Ryno turned around, however, Sam was all over him, hammering at Ryno’s legs with AJ the Bat (formerly Loui Slugger). Ryno went down in a heap grabbing his legs in pain but Sam didn’t let up, slamming Ryno’s head off the canvas repeatedly before going over to Korso, who was still in the grips of Harbinger, and thanking him for the chicken that Korso had given him. While Sam was attempting to converse with his partner, Harbinger pulled a fork out of his boot and lunged at the Hall of Famer, but Sam grabbed Harbinger by the hair and tossed him aside. In the meantime, Ryno had gotten back to his feet and had gone after Korso, grabbing his fellow former world champion and tossing him over the top rope. Unfortunately for Korso, his neck became tangled in the top and middle ropes as he went over, effectively hanging him from the ring. With his opponent subdued, Ryno pulled a pair of brass knuckles out of his tights and stalked Korso, verbally mocking him before laying into him with a series of loaded right hand shots to the forehead. On the other side of the ring, Sam nailed Harbinger with a running kneedrop before once again picking up the bat. He turned and went back after Ryno, but this time Ryno saw him coming and grabbed Sam before he could get a shot in and tossed him through the ropes to the floor. The ref freed Korso from the ropes, but that didn’t slow Ryno down. He followed Sam to the outside and raked Sam’s face along the steel of the cell before climbing up the wall above Sam’s fallen frame. Once he had reached the height of the top rope Ryno jumped off the cell with a moonsault, but Sam rolled out of the way and Ryno hit hard on the concrete floor. Both were slow to get up, but Sam was to his feet first. After slamming Ryno into the steel steps he rolled Ryno back into the ring, but before Sam could follow up, Korso nailed Harbinger with the Hollow Point!!! Korso made the cover and Ryno tried to make the save, but he was too injured and thus too slow. The ref counted the three, giving Sam and his bloodied partner a spot in the elimination match.

Genocidal Warfare – 2nd Tier
Barbed Wire Elimination Match
CAPTAIN PATRICK O’CONNER
”CORRUPT” JOHN KORSO
DAARK
GEORGE ACHICA
ONYX COOPER
PSYCHOTIC SAM
THE BOOTLEGGER
THE CULT MASTER

Special Guest Referees
ACE MANLEY
DIAMOND KING

The match was already underway when the final team to advance, O’Conner and George, brawled their way from the cell to the center ring and into the final foray. Seeing that O’Conner had arrived, Bootlegger slid out under the bottom strand of barbed wire to the floor to avoid the action. Barlotta, however, got some verbal shots in from the floor, sending various barbs at Diamond King, finding several ways to call him an old man. Bootlegger’s break on the floor didn’t last very long, as almost immediately John Korso, bloodied from his match against Ryno and Harbinger, slid out to meet him, nailing Barlotta with a flurry of kicks to the ribs and back. Bootlegger turned around to see who his attacker was, but when he did he was met with some stiff backhand chops to the chest from the man who used to be his close ally. In the ring the brawl between O’Conner and Achica continued while Sam attacked Cult Master with AJ. Onyx Cooper and Daark renewed their rivalry which apparently had not been settled during their SNS match a couple of weeks earlier. Daark caught Cooper with some stiff thrusts to the throat and charged him with a flying lariat, but Cooper ducked and Daark hit throat first across the top strand of barbed wire. The universal champ was staggered and Cooper took full advantage, hitting a running Edge bulldog and covering Daark while Manley made the three count. Daark was the first man eliminated from the final. Cooper’s celebration was short lived, however, as almost immediately he was attacked from behind by Psychotic Sam with Onyx’s bat. The Cult Master, recovering from Sam’s earlier attack, joined George in a double team on the world champion O’Conner, but stood back and watched as perhaps the biggest upset of the night occurred. Showing his overwhelming strength, George hoisted the Captain in the air with ease in a gorilla press slam and dropped the champ over the top rope to the floor, eliminating him from the match. George wasn’t done there, shouting some disparaging remarks at his old friend. It was an unwise move on Achica’s part, as the distraction allowed Cult Master to deliver a running kneelift to the back of the big Samoan, sending him over the top and out, landing him at O’Conner’s feet. The two men who had defeated Virus and DNL in the first tier continued their brawl all the way to the dressing room. Out on the floor the battle between Bootlegger and Korso was continuing, but a rake to the eyes of Korso gave Bootlegger the advantage, and the former universal champion took advantage, pulling Korso over to the ring and choking him on the bottom rope, which of course was now no more than a strand of reinforced barbed wire. Bootlegger then rolled Korso into the ring before himself crawling back in under the bottom. Cooper had since turned the tables on Sam and now had Loui Slugger back in hand, and was using it to deliver some punishing body shots to the former four-time extreme champion. Sam, however, received a save from an unlikely source – the man he had attacked at the beginning of the match, The Cult Master. Cult Master nailed Cooper with a series of European uppercuts to the jaw and kneelifts to the body against the corner as The Saint passed a hockey bag in to Sam. Cult Master, however, snatched the bag away from the Family member and tore it open, pulling out a metal frying pan. He looked towards Sam, but then turned and nailed Cooper right in the forehead with the pan, knocking him clear out. Cult Master seemed ready to finish Cooper off when out of nowhere he was nailed in the back of the head by Psychotic Sam with Marbels. Sam then delivered the Psychotic Smash and rolled Cult Master up for the pin, bringing the match down to the final four: Sam, Cooper, Bootlegger, and Korso. After beating Cult Master Sam went back after Cooper, but Onyx had a surprise for him, pulling a small bottle out of his tights and splashing Sam in the face with alcohol! Bootlegger, meanwhile, was in control of Korso, pulling the “Corrupt one” up and nailing a fallaway slam. Before he could follow up, though, he was nailed with a vicious clothesline from Diamond King, who apparently did not take too kindly to Barlotta’s remarks earlier in the match. For the first time ever, DK heard the cheers from the MMP crowd. Bootlegger shot back to his feet and got in the referee’s face, but was met with a right hand to the jaw…knocking him back into Korso, who rolled Bootlegger up in a pin. After a VERY fast three count from Diamond King, Bootlegger was on his way back to the dressing room. Barlotta was livid! He shouted threats back towards the ring while a large group of regular referees came out to escort him away from the ring. Seeing an opening, Korso sat back and watched while Sam and Onyx battled it out. A low blow from Sam doubled Onyx over in the corner, and with his opponent slowed Sam went over to his bag to grab another weapon…this time pulling out a set of handcuffs, using them to restrain Cooper’s hands behind his back, ultimatey leaving him helpless. Pulling Cooper up, Sam grabbed the frying pan that Cult Master had used earlier and charged at Onyx, but Onyx lowered his shoulder and backdropped Sam, sending him flying over the top rope to the floor, leaving Onyx Cooper and John Korso as the final two men…one of whom would win the match and receive a world title shot at the Moonlight PPV in October. Cooper shouted at DK and Ace to get him out of the cuffs, but both men told him that he was on his own. With his arms unavailable to him, Cooper was at Korso’s mercy. Korso dodged some kicks from Cooper and nailed Onyx with a running clothesline before stomping him repeatedly in the chest. Cooper had taken quite a beating and finally couldn’t take any more. Korso pulled his defenseless opponent up one final time and connected with the Hollow Point before making the cover and hooking the leg for the three count. “Corrupt” John Korso had won genocidal warfare.
