MMP Saturday Night Slams is on the air! More than 15, 000 fans are jammed into the MMP Coliseum for tonight's big event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.

Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Saturday Night Slams! I'm Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer where tonight, only six days away from the Best of the Best PPV event in Pittsburgh, we have three big title matches on tap tonight. Our main event is a first for the MMP, a four way ladder match. Hanging in the balance is the MMP tag team championship, which will be won tonight by either Virus Richards, Malice, Dr. No Limit, or Aries, with the winner free to choose any partner to share the championship.

Brewer: Normally I wouldn't care, but I have to wonder what The Joker's Child thinks about this. He has basically been swindled out of his share of the tag belts. Unless tonight's winner chooses Joker as his partner, he's going to be left out in the cold.

Wood: Joker will, however, have a chance to put some more championship gold around his waist tonight when he and Mr. Beumont meet Masked Menace X in a triple threat match for the extreme title. That is, of course, only in the unlikely event that this is anything more than another Family sham title defense, something we have seen many times in the past. Hot Crimson defends the midwestern title against Masochrist, but we kick things off tonight as Crimson's opponent at Best of the Best, Hyoga, looks to settle the score with his long-running rival and a member of The Family, Tao Te Ching. These two have split their last two encounters over the past couple of months. Tonight is the rubber match. Let's go to the ring here on Saturday Night Slams!

TAO TE CHING vs. HYOGA

Tao made his way down the aisle first, surprisingly without any backup from members of The Family. This proved to be a mistake, as just as Tao was getting to the ring, Hyoga came through the crowd and attacked Tao from behind with a hockey mask! He then grabbed Tao and slammed him into the steel ring steps before stopping, looking at the hockey mask as if he didn't understand what he was doing with it. He tossed the mask into the crowd before rolling Tao into the ring. Tao was slow to his feet after Hyoga's early assault and Hyoga took advantage, stomping Tao into the canvas. Tao struggled towards the corner but Hyoga stayed on him, pressing his boot against Tao's throat, holding Tao against the bottom turnbuckle. The referee moved in and began to administer the count, forcing Hyoga to break just before the five count and a disqualification. Hyoga broke the choke, but wasn't happy about it. He got right in the ref's face, yelling at him to stay out of his way. While the argument was going on, Tao slowly got back to his feet. Hyoga turned to hit Tao with a clothesline, but Tao ducked and caught Hyoga with a superkick ot the jaw! Hyoga went down hard, but Tao also dropped to his knees. Tao came back quickly, though, and dragged Hyoga out to the middle of the ring and applied a leg grapevine to try and wear his opponent down. Hyoga fought hard and wouldn't give up, but the ropes were too far for him to reach. Tao, not wanting to waste this good position, reached over and raked Hyoga's face before breaking the hold, only to apply a sharpshooter! The fans started up a "bor-ing" chant, as had for some reason become a regular feature during Tao's matches, but it was looking like they might soon be put out of their misery. Hyoga was crawling towards the ropes, but Tao sinched down and looked to have Hyoga in an inescapable position. The ref jumped down in Hyoga's face to ask if he wanted to quit, but the Swiss star refused. With one final desperation lunge Hyoga grabbed the bottom rope, forcing the ref to get Tao to break. The ref pulled Tao off, but Tao thought Hyoga had given up and thrust his hands in the air in victory. The official grabbed Tao's arms and pulled them down, telling him that the match was still going on and that Hyoga had reached the ropes. While this discussion was going on, Hyoga got back to his feet. He came up from behind Tao and grabbed him around the waist, nailing a back suplex that rocked the back of Tao's head off the canvas. Hyoga followed up quickly, dragging Tao to the corner and tying him upside down in a tree of woe position. He then backed to the opposite corner to build up a head of steam and charged in, nailing the upside-down Tao with a big avalanche! The force of the blow dropped Tao from the corner and Hyoga pulled him out a few feet, slapping on a tequila sunrise! Tao tried to reach the ropes with his one free arm, but he couldn't make it. He had to tap out, giving the win to Hyoga.

Wood: A big win for Hyoga to open things up here tonight on Saturday Night Slams, as he pulls off what has to be considered at least a minor upset over Tao Te Ching. This could be the momentum Hyoga needs heading into Best of the Best on Friday night, where he will challenge Tao's former ally Hot Crimson for the midwestern title.

Brewer: It will be interesting to see where Hyoga goes from here. He's had more downs than ups in his MMP career so far, and it seems that every match he wins is followed up by three or four consecutive losses. He's got a tough test coming up on Friday night. We'll have to wait and see if he's up to it.

Wood: Speaking of Hot Crimson and the midwestern title, the belt is on the line in our next contest here on Saturday Night Slams. Crimson has held the title for several weeks now, but tonight could be his toughest test to date. He puts the belt on the line against Masochrist, a former two-time world champion and a Hall of Famer in his own right. The winner will defend the belt at Best of the Best, so I'm sure both Hyoga and Psychotic Sam are watching this one closely backstage. Let's go back to the ring!

MMP Midwestern Championship Match
HOT CRIMSON (C) vs. MASOCHRIST

The champion came to the ring first, flanked by several Cult minions who were led out by universal champion Daark. Masochrist soon followed with a blank look on his face and a straight jacket in hand. He tossed the jacket in the corner and went right after Crimson, who was waiting on his opponent. The two men traded punches back and forth, slowly working their way towards the ropes where Crimson caught Masochrist with a knee to the midsection and a suplex that put the challenger over the top rope and out to the floor. The crowd roared as the match headed to the outside. Crimson, looking to capitalize quickly, climbed to the top rope and dove off with a flying bodypress, but Maso caught the champion in mid air and rammed him back first into the steel ring post. After unceremoniously dropping Crimson to the floor, Maso pulled the midwestern title holder back to his feet and rammed him face first into the corner of the steel steps. Glaring at the minions, Maso pulled the Cult member back to his feet and rolled him into the ring, keeping a close eye on the men on the outside as he followed his opponent. Maso waited for Crimson to get back to his feet, only to floor him with a big boot to the face. Masochrist was slowly taking over the match, and the minions on the floor looked like they knew Crimson's title reign was slipping away. Pulling Crimson up by the throat, Maso whipped the champion across the ring, kicking repeatedly at Crimson's left leg. He then pulled Crimson out and whipped him across the ring to the far corner, but about halfway across he ran head first into the referee. The official and the Cult member hit heads, and both went down hard. Masochrist took advantage and jumped down to the floor where he grabbed a steel chair. He waited for Crimson to get back up, and then cracked the chair across his opponent's skull, knocking him nearly unconscious. With his opponent down, Maso then walked to his corner and grabbed the straight jacket. He started to put Crimson in the jacket, but that's when Daark got involved. The universal champion slid into the ring and nailed Masochrist from behind with a spear that knocked the wind out of the challenger. Acting quickly, Daark pulled Maso over to the corner and nailed the Whispered Propechy inverted DDT. Maso was laid out right next to Crimson, who was starting to come around. Daark shook the referee to wake him up as Crimson got back to his feet. Seeing his chance, Crimson pulled Masochrist up and nailed his patented double-arm DDT, planting Maso face-first onto the steel chair. He quickly rolled Maso over to conceal the steel and made the cover. The referee came around and slowly counted the 1...2...3.

Wood: Hot Crimson survives, but just barely, with the midwestern title intact. He'll now go on to Best of the Best to put the belt on the line against Hyoga who, as we saw, was victorious earlier tonight over Tao Te Ching.

Brewer: Crimson got lucky tonight. It's a good thing for him that Daark was on the outside to watch his back, because it sure looked to me like Masochrist was about to capture the belt. I guess Daark still has some memory left of his days as Clay Moore and remembers the time that Masochrist nearly crippled him over in the GWF about a year ago.

Wood: We've got another title match lined up next, but I get a sneaking feeling that we could be in store for another Family sham. It's a triple threat match for both the extreme and tag team championships between Joker's Child, Masked Menace X, and Mr. Beumont. Let's see what these jokers, no pun intended, have in store for us.

MMP Tag Team Championship/MMP Extreme Championship
Triple Threat Match
THE JOKER'S CHILD (C) vs. MASKED MENACE X (C) vs. MR. BEUMONT

MMX came to the ring first, soon followed by Joker and his entourage of Ponch, Soul Crusher, and his mystery woman. Joker, Ponch, and MMX went over the gameplan at the last minute as the final competitor, Mr. Beumont, made his way down. Perry Sanders' music began to play, bringing Beumont and Hobo Richard to the ring. Richard was dressed as DNL and was pushing Beumont, as Perry Sanders, to the ring in a wheelchair. Beumont was wearing a shirt that read "World's Worst Father" on the front and "#1 Contender in the Joker's Ranking System" on the back. Welfare William and "Cup" Cooper were also with them, dressed as Zane and Charles. Last of all was China Town Lee who was dressed as Captain Patrick O'Conner, carrying a sign that read "The World Champ Fears Sam." MMX and Beumont started the match with MMX challenging his opponent to a test of strength. The two hooked up but MMX quickly delivered a boot to the midsection and delivered the X-Plex. At the same time, Soul Crusher passed Joker a baseball bat. The referee got down and counted Beumont for the 1...2...Joker broke up the pin by slamming the bat down into the ribcage of MMX! Joker hammered MMX with the bat as Psychotic Sam and The Saint came running down to the ring. Sam and Saint jumped on MMX and pounded away while Joker covered Beumont for the three count to win the extreme title. Mike the Giant Retard then made his way out, carrying a sign that read "Chicken Chow Mein Victim #8" as the Family assaulted MMX. Spotting Lee dressed as O'Conner, Sam ran over to him and demanded a title shot before chasing him back to the dressing room. The Family walked out leaving MMX badly beaten in the middle of the ring.

Wood: It looks like The Family's roster now has one fewer members, as it would seem that Masked Menace X has received his walking papers from the group.

Brewer: I'm at a bit of a loss to understand why Joker would pick now to pull something like this. MMX is one win away from getting a shot at the world title, something that The Family has been after for quite some time now, but they choose now to kick him out of the group. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Wood: So now it will be The Joker's Child going into Best of the Best as the extreme champion, where he will take on Christian Antimarius in a steel cage match, although I understand that it will be a non-title affair. MMX will have to rethink his gameplan for the PPV over the next few days, as The Family won't be watching his back as he might have anticipated. Folks, if you look above the ring you'll see both belts that comprise the MMP tag team championship hanging from a metal hook. Four men are set to do battle in a ladder match for those belts, with the winner becoming one half of the tag champs, free to choose anyone to share the championship.

MMP Tag Team Championship
Four Way Ladder Match
VIRUS RICHARDS (C) vs. ARIES vs. DR. NO LIMIT vs. MALICE

The three challengers made their way down to the ring individually, with DNL coming down last accompanied by Zane and Charles. Virus Richards then came down, but rather than getting in the ring he simply unfolded a lawn chair and sat on the outside. He put his feet up on the apron and leaned back as a young Oriental man came down the aisle and brought him a take out order from the Oriental Star, a Chinese restaurant in Philadelphia that competes with Cec's. Malice took a picture of the belts hanging above the ring, and the opening bell sounded. Virus remained on the outside, eating as the action got underway. DNL, looking to avenge what happened to Perry Sanders last weekend, went right after Aries. The two traded hard right hands back and forth while Malice looked on, just waiting for the right opportunity. Aries floored DNL with a punch to the jaw, but as he turned around he was caught with an elbow in the face from Malice. Aries was staggered, and a cut block to the back of the legs put him down. DNL stomped Aries while Malice glared at Virus on the outside, then turning and nailing DNL with a spear tackle. Malice capitalized quickly, grabbing the ladder and standing it up in the corner. He then climbed to the top rope and rode the ladder down towards DNL, but DNL moved out of the way. The ladder hit the top rope and toppled over, sending Malice out to the floor. Zane and Charles quickly surrounded Malice and rolled him back into the ring where DNL nailed him with a piledriver. Meanwhile Aries, recovering from the assault on his legs from DNL, got back to his feet. He nailed DNL with a forearm to the back of the head and took him down with a bodyslam. Aries then mounted DNL and laid into him with a flurry of right hands as Malice struggled to get up with the aid of the ropes. The "Beast from Greece" dragged DNL over to the corner and tied him upside down in a tree of woe position, but while he was securing DNL's foot under the turnbuckle Malice grabbed him from behind and nailed a German suplex. While Malice was battling Aries, Zane unhooked DNL from the buckle and passed the ladder back into the ring. As the match continued, the new MMP extreme champion The Joker's Child appeared in the rafters, holding a remote control device. He turned a dial on the control and the chain holding the belts started to rise, bringing them up to where he stood. Joker grabbed both belts off the hook before pulling a mic out of his pocket:

Joker- These are my belts and they will stay with me. Now the next time you fools put up My tag titles with out inviting me the champ I will do more then take back my Gold. Have fun finishing your little match oh and here fight for these belts.

Joker then lowered the chain once again, but instead of the tag belts on the hook, there were now two regular dress belts with Wal-Mart price tags on them hanging from the rafters. Seeing what was happening, Virus jumped to his feet and ringside and shouted up at Joker, even though Joker obviously couldn't hear him. Virus' matchtime meal was scattered all around the ringside area as he started pacing back and forth in anger. A group of referees had to be sent out to calm the former Syndicate member down. Malice continued pounding on Aries, but Zane and Charles then slid into the ring. DNL's two associates joined Malice in attacking Aries, but then turned and attacked Malice as well. With Malice out of the picture DNL pulled Aries back to his feet, but a rake of the face from Aries temporarily blinded DNL and allowed Aries to whip him into the ladder, which was standing in the corner. Aries slowly stalked DNL, but out from the dressing room came Perry Sanders, Jr.! The youngster ran into the ring and hit Aries across the back with his skateboard, but it had no effect on the "Beast from Greece", who simply turned and nailed Perry Sanders' young son with a boot to the face that nearly took the kid's head off. While Aries was distracted, though, DNL nailed him with a clothesline from behind that sent Aries through the middle ropes and out to the floor. A low blow to Charles allowed Malice to rebound and fight off DNL's associates, but DNL had already started up the ladder. With DNL about half way to the top, Virus Richards finally climbed up on the apron. As DNL made his way even closer to the "replacement" belts, Virus came off the top rope and nailed DNL with a dropkick to the back of the head, sending him face first into the ladder. The ladder fell over with DNL landing on top of it as Aries got back into the ring, joining Malice in pounding on Zane and Charles. Virus then joined the duo, eventually rolling the two associates out to the floor. The trio then moved over to DNL, where Malice produced a pair of handcuffs from his boot. They cuffed DNL to the ropes and Aries and Malice hammered the former extreme champion, keeping an eye for anyone coming in from the outside as Virus set the ladder back up. He slowly climbed to the top and grabbed the two belts that Joker had put on the hook to win the match. Virus then grabbed a mic:

Virus: Damn it, Dr. Zero, when will you ever learn? I mean, this is just getting too easy. Remember when I said I was two steps ahead of you? Well, if you can pull your eyes away from those fists for just a second, look in front of you. I'd say those are two mighty big steps to be ahead of someone, wouldn't you? And since Old Captain Pegleg is throwing around all that medicare money, I say we take full advantage of it.

Malice took out a key to the handcuffs and unlocked DNL, who collapsed to the canvas. Virus set the ladder flat on the canvas as Aries picked DNL up, delivering a Godly Drop onto the ladder before the three men made their way back to the dressing room. Virus wrapped both belts around his waist, shaking hands with both Aries and Malice as the screen fades to black.
