September 2

MMP Saturday Night Slams is on the air! More than 15, 000 fans are jammed into the MMP Coliseum for tonight’s event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.
Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Saturday Night Slams! I’m Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer here at the MMP Coliseum for another edition of Saturday Night Slams! We’ve got three…
Almost as soon as Wood started to speak, Queen’s “Princes of the Universe” started to play over the loudspeaker. After a moment High Society made it’s way to the ring, with Nashira leading the way down for Aries, Hades, and Baital. The quarted stepped into the ring, all carrying microphones.
Interview: HIGH SOCIETY
Hades: First off I want to personally thank Punisher for being such an idiot and handing us the tag team belts. But as nice as it is to be the champs again. We have a little problem. Just after winning these titles. Both Baital and myself found out, not five minutes after the match that on the 12 of september we have to face Punisher and Falcon and defend our gold.
Baital: We don't have a problem defending our gold. The only problem we have is the fact that its not a sanctioned MMP event. Its a sancetioned ICW event. So we will fight. However these belts will not be on the line. But if you want a truely great reason why we are refusing to defend these titles, ask our lovely manager.
Nashira: Its simple. It seem that the Commish and the rest of the MMP is against High Society at a level that is past personal. Lets look at the reason. First off. Peters Vs Aries. DQ'ed lose title. Counted out lose title. Peters used an illegal object to beat Aries. No DQ. Aries should be wearing the Midwestern title right now. Then Steel is ordered BY the Commish to defend his TV title. Ryno puts out a challenge to face Aries and Steel. In a three way dance. Aries accepts and Ryno anti ups the match and places his title on the line. What does Steel do? Nothing. He hides away until its safe to come out and talk again. What does our Commish do, sits on his fat ass. He didn't even have the guts to do his job. Personally I think the Commish should retire and let new blood take over. Then Aries faced off against Steel. One on one. What happens Steel low blowed Aries to get a cheap advantage After Kogler illegally jumped up onto the apron to distract not only Aries but also the ref. Now what kind of response does the Commish make to these acts? None. But now the Commish wants the tag champs to defend their titles at a sanctioned ICW event and not a sanctioned MMP. It seems the Commish has forgotten which fed he is to be running. But for tonight we are going to improve MMP. Cause we have a surprise in store.
Aries: What we are saying Commish. Thanks to you. The entire MMP Roster, the announcers, the cameramen and you are at risk. War is declared. The gods have spoken.
High Society then left the ring, throwing their microphones down on the canvas as they walked out.
Wood: Wow, that was unexpected. No one said anything about High Society coming out here for an interview to start the show tonight, but nevertheless they have said their piece, and now it sounds like we are going to hear from them again before the show is over as Nashira has promised a surprise for the entire MMP before we go off the air. As I was saying before we were interrupted, we have some great matches on tap tonight. The new universal champion, Glycerine, looks to rebound from his loss last week against Twisted Steel as he gets into the ring against Virus Richards. Hassan Abu Saada takes on Wolverine in a return match from that “driver of the caravan” vs. “Shadow” fiasco two week sago, and in our opener tonight we have what promises to be a great battle between two of the up-and-coming cruiserweight stars of the MMP. Falcon, representing Kamp Kogler, takes on a member of Ray Brewer’s favorite band, Schlecter Kase, Otto Schmerz.
OTTO SCHMERZ vs. FALCON
Otto came to the ring first, carrying his electric guitar and accompanied by the other three members of his band. As he stepped into the ring “Smooth” by Santana played and Falcon, dressed in his new attire of black cargo pants, flannel, and a black hat, sauntered down to the ring with Troy. Once in the ring Troy removed Falcon’s hat and gold chains, then his shirt, revealing a giant Aztec-stlye falcon tattoo etched across his back. Falcon removed his MCW cruiserweight title belt and passed it off to Troy before surprisingly demanding a microphone.
Falcon: "Yo man, you call that crap you try an' play music? Dat ain't nothin', chico. Step aside, chacón I show you some REAL music!"
“Smooth” started to play again and Falcon started to dance in the middle of the ring, prompting Otto to try and get in an attack before the bell. Falcon saw him coming, though, and leapfrogged up and over. Otto came to an abrupt stop as Falcon jumped out of the way and turned to face his Mexican opponent, who went for a quick dropkick while Otto was caught off guard. Schmerz brushed him away and Falcon landed flat on his back but quickly shot to his feet. Once he was up Otto hooked Falcon in an armwringer, and before Falcon could reverse it Otto wrestled him back into a hammerlock. As Falcon reached back and tried to find a counter Otto reached around and tripped Falcon’s legs out from under him, pushing him down face-first to the canvas. Once Falcon was down Otto released the hammerlock and stomped his opponent on the back of the head. Falcon grabbed the back of his head and Otto ran to the ropes, using the middle strand as a springboard into a moonsault. The Mexican moved out of the way, though, causing Otto to hit nothing but canvas. Falcon responded by going for an Asai moonsault of his own, but that move missed just the same as Otto’s did. When Otto got back to his feet he pulled Falcon up and whipped him hard to the turnbuckle, and as Falcon stumbled out Otto caught him with a dropkick right in the midsection, leaving Falcon doubled over. Before Falcon could regroup Otto put his knee across the back of Falcon’s neck, but before he could drive Falcon down to the mat Falcon shot back up to an upright position, shrugging Otto off. Otto managed to execute a backflip and land on his feet, but while he was regaining his balance Falcon ran towards him and grabbed him with an inverted headlock, jumped up onto the middle rope, and drove Otto down with a reverse bulldog. Before Otto had a chance to regroup Falcon pulled him out towards the middle of the ring and locked on a figure four leglock, trying to take out Otto’s legs and limit his ability to use any high flying moves. Because Falcon weighed only 140 pounds it wasn’t hard for Otto to pull against Falcon’s hold and make it to the ropes to force the break. The referee quickly ordered Falcon to break and started his five count. Falcon broke at four and got right in the referee’s face, screaming at him in Spanish, leaving a confused look on the official’s face. The Mexican eventually got fed up, pulled Otto out towards the middle of the ring, and delivered three quick elbowdrops before making a cover. Otto kicked out after only two, but that didn’t stop Falcon, who got up and started to dance in front of his downed opponent. He then turned around and started to dance for the fans on the other side of the ring, but while his back was turned Otto got up to his knees and started to unravel the duct tape that was wrapped around his wrist. He snuck up on Falcon from behind and used the tape to choke Falcon, dragging him down to his knees. The referee stepped in and ordered Otto to release the choke, and while this was going on in the ring, the cameras shifted to a shot backstage where High Society had broken into Kamp Kogler’s dressing room! A massive brawl was in progress between the six wrestlers, causing a large group of referees to come in and break everything up. Some officials pinned Kamp Kogler back in their dressing room while others did everything they could to keep High Society out. Once the brawl had been broken up the camera went back to the ring, where Falcon had taken over control of the match once again and was once again dancing for the crowd amidst a loud chorus of boos. Schlecter Kase had seen enough of Falcon’s attempts at entertainment, and Gunter and Gerrit got up on the apron, Gunter with a chair in hand. While the referee was distracted by the Kase members Falcon pulled Otto to his feet and went to whip him off the ropes, but Otto reversed the whip and sent Falcon into Gunter, who held the chair up to protect himself and in the process slammed it into the side of Falcon’s head. Falcon’s head snapped back and the Mexican fell to the canvas, giving Otto the opening he needed. Gunter and Gerrit got down from the apron when they saw Otto in control again, and Otto picked Falcon up and set him up for a powerbomb. Instead of slamming him down, though, Otto walked Falcon back into the corner and dropped backwards to the canvas, dropping Falcon down face first on the turnbuckle. Falcon, though, reached down and caught the top rope, landing on his feet on the middle rope. Otto got to his feet and gloated to the crowd, allowing Falcon to grab him by the head from behind and execute the Falcon Crusher from the second rope! He then rolled Otto over and made the cover for the 1…2…3 to win the match. “Smooth” started up and Falcon started to dance again, but his celebration was cut short.as Nashira made her way down to the ring with a microphone, distracting Falcon and Troy.
Nashira: Yeah Falcon great match. Now for that surprise. I think you better turn around.
When Falcon turned around he saw the huge newcomer known as Amarok standing right in front of him. Amarok grabbed Falcon by the throat and delivered a devastating chokeslam before more referees came running out from the back to try and hold him back. As the refs surrounded Amarok Nashira waved at the monster to get out of the ring and follow her to the dressing room, leaving Troy and the officials to check on Falcon.
Wood: Falcon picks up the victory in this hot cruiserweight match, but he hardly looks like a winner as these officials are helping him back to the dressing room. We only got our first glimpse of this Amarok in the MMP a few days ago, and I would say from this attack that it is clear that he has been brought in as a mercenary for High Society.
Brewer: This also evens out the numbers in High Society’s war with Kamp Kogler. When Snake signed his wrestling contract a couple of weeks ago that gave Kogler’s team four men, compared to only three for High Society. This war is far from over, and I for one can’t wait for that steel cage ladder/pipe match coming up on September 12.
Wood: That’s right, that is the next time MMP wrestlers will be in action after tonight. That is, of course, ICW Championship Chaos, as the first part of a working agreement that was recently signed between the MMP and ICW. The details of this agreement have yet to be finalized, of course my broadcast colleague is confident that ICW will be put out of business after their fans get one glimpse of MMP action, but when those details are set we will pass them along to you. Coming up next is a return match from the match that never really took place a couple of weeks ago between Hassan Abu Saada and Wolverine, two men looking to re-establish themselves as major players in the championship picture in the MMP. Let’s go back to the ring.
HASSAN ABU SAADA vs. WOLVERINE
Wolverine was already waiting in the ring as the gypsies stepped through the curtain, holding it open for Hassan Abu Saada. As Hassan was making his way down the aisle a fan seated along the aisle reached over the rail and tossed a soda at the large Egyptian, hitting him right in the side of the head. Several fans in the area started to cheer as the beverage soaked Hassan from head to toe, but Hassan didn’t appreciate it like the fans did. Hassan slowly walked over to the rail and grabbed the fan, pulling him over the rail and chokeslamming him down on the concrete floor!! MMP officials came running down the aisle immediately and held Hassan back while they tended to the injured spectator. As medics wheeled out a stretcher to carry the fan out of the arena Wolverine came running up the aisle and caught the distracted Hassan with a clothesline to the back of the head, dropping Hassan face-first to the floor. Wolverine then pulled Hassan to his feet and dragged him down the aisle before throwing him into the ring under the bottom rope. Hassan pulled himself up and Wolverine followed him in, kicking Hassan repeatedly in the midsection and backing him into the corner. Once back against the buckle Wolverine reached up and pressed his boot across Hassan’s throat in a blatant chokehold, right in front of the referee. The ref started his five count, forcing Wolverine to break after only a few seconds. Before Wolverine could follow up Hassan reached out and poked him in the eye, dazing Wolverine long enough for Hassan to whip him across the ring into the far turnbuckle. Wolverine hit the corner hard and Hassan charged in after him, crushing Wolverine beneath his 400-plus pound frame with a big avalanche. The Detroit native slumped against the buckle as Hassan turned to gloat over his accomplishment, but while he had his back turned Wolverine caught him with a low blow, doubling Hassan over and allowing Wolverine to pick him up and deliver a side suplex. After dropping a knee down across Hassan’s forehead Wolverine yanked the Egyptian up and nailed a backbreaker out in the middle of the ring. From there he delivered a pair of short elbowdrops before going for a cover, but Hassan kicked out after only a count of two. Undaunted Wolverine stayed on his opponent, grabbing Hassan’s leg and going for a half crab. Hassan, though, was too strong, and he managed to kick Wolverine off, sending him back into the turnbuckle. As Hassan pulled himself to his feet Wolverine charged at him, but Hassan stepped out of the way and Wolverine went crashing sternum first into the corner. Wolverine stumbled out and Hassan nailed him in the back with a clothesline against the buckle before lifting him up to the top rope. Once Wolverine was in position Hassan climbed up to the second rope and took Wolverine over with a superplex, dropping him down hard near the center of the ring. From there Hassan took his offense to the air, slowly climbing up to the top rope. Once he was set the giant Egyptian jumped off and crashed down on Wolverine with a 400-pound flying elbow that knocked the wind right out of his opponent. Hassan made the cover and the hooked the leg for the 1…2…3.
Wood: A quick win for Hassan Abu Saada here tonight, but if you ask me that man needs to be thrown in jail! Fans have no right to try and get involved in the action at a wrestling event, but that doesn’t give the wrestlers the right to attack the fans either. I can only hope that that young man is OK as he’s being checked out in the back, and I hope the police are called in to deal with Abu Saada.
Brewer: I don’t know about that, Wood. If someone hits you in the head with a full cup of soda, what are you going to? Flash a smile and move on? I don’t think so. I hope that kid is OK, but my heart doesn’t exactly go out to him. He brought this on himself.
Wood: Well, nonetheless it will go down as a win for Hassan Abu Saada, despite a solid effort put forward by Wolverine here tonight. It’s now time for our main event here on this abbreviated version of Saturday Night Slams. The new MMP universal champion, Glycerine, gets into the ring for the first time since his winning streak was snapped last weekend by Twisted Steel and faces possibly the toughest challenge of his career against Hall of Famer Virus Richards.
GLYCERINE vs. VIRUS RICHARDS
The universal champion made his way to the ring first, accompanied by his valet Vanessa for the first time since she was released from capture by the mysterious cloaked figure known only as “Thunder”. The two stepped through the ropes as Virus made his way down the aisle, accompanied by Harbinger. Virus turned to give Harbinger his last minute instructions as they got close to the ring, and while Virus had his back turned Glycerine got out of the ring and ran up the aisle, nailing Virus with a clothesline from behind! Glycerine pulled Virus up and slammed him against the steel safety rail before tossing Virus into the ring to officially start the match. The universal champ turned and shouted out to the crowd who cheered in response, but Glycerine’s lapse in attention allowed Virus to get to his knees and delivered an uppercut below the belt. As Glycerine was doubled over Virus pulled himself up and delivered a DDT, then floated over into a cover but only got a two count before Glycerine got a shoulder up. Virus backed off as Glycerine stumbled to his feet and once the universal champion was up he ran at him with a flying clothesline, but Glycerine ducked out of the way and Virus went over top and landed on the canvas. He shot back to his feet and went back towards Glycerine, only to have his head nearly taken off with a stiff superkick, knocking Virus flat on his back. Glycerine backed into the ropes and delivered a kneedrop right across Virus’ forehead, and then pulled his opponent towards the middle of the ring before locking on an STF. Virus reached out for the ropes, but when he saw how far he was from the ropes, he had to think of something else. He grabbed the referee by the shirt and started pointing at his throat, indicating that Glycerine was choking him. When the ref looked up and questioned Glycerine the champ loosened his grip just enough to allow Virus to pull himself to the ropes and force the break. Glycerine, though, held on even after Virus grabbed the bottom strand, forcing the referee to pull him off. The official issued a warning but Glycerine ignored him, simply pushing the official aside and reaching down to pull Virus up. When he did, though, he was met with a hard right hand that knocked Glycerine flat on his back. The referee looked stunned that Glycerine went down so fast and he got down to check on the man as Virus opened his hand and dropped a pile of quarters to the mat. As he moved over to pull Glycerine up the referee got right in Virus’ face and asked him about the quarters, but Virus insisted that Vanessa had hit him in the head with a roll of quarters while he was in the ropes. The expression on the ref’s face made it clear that he didn’t believe him, but since he didn’t see Virus use them he couldn’t do anything. By the time Virus turned away from the referee Glycerine was back up to one knee, and as he grabbed Glycerine Virus was stopped in his tracks by a hard right hand to the midsection, followed by repeated rights and lefts until Glycerine was back to his feet. He forced Virus back into the corner and wrapped his leg around the middle ropes, pulling up on the ankle and putting pressure on the knee. The referee started a count right away with Virus in the ropes, and at four Glycerine let go, letting Virus collapse in the corner, grabbing at his knee. Seeing his opportunity Glycerine pulled Virus out towards the center of the ring and locked on The Burn! Virus started struggling towards the ropes, but before he could reach out and grab the bottom strand Harbinger slid into the ring and attacked Glycerine from behind, nailing him in the back of the head with another roll of quarters. He did this right in front of the referee, who immediately called for the bell and a disqualification. Harbinger hammered Glycerine repeatedly, forcing two referees to come out from the back to hold him off. Virus then got up and pushed through the referees and shoved Harbinger out to the floor. The two walked back to the dressing room with Virus holding his head and limping while yelling at Harbinger the whole way. In the ring Vanessa helped Glycerine back to his feet, and once he was up the lights in the building went out. When they came back up the mysterious cloaked figure was in the aisle once again.
"Thunder": Glycerine, I told you I was not here to hold you down or keep you from achieveing sucess. I told you that I was hee to make sure that you excelled in the MMP, and that you could be the greatest. I came here to show you that your search was in vain. I came here to tell you that with me, you had your center, you had your calm, you had all that you needed. I know what you were searching for, and it is right here, where it has always been. Look at me and know that your destiny is sealed, and you are destined to be great. I will help you achieve all that you wish to.
Before Glycerine could respond the lights when out again. When they came back up, the figure was gone. The camera focuses on a close-up for Glycerine and Vanessa looking down the aisle in the ring as the scene fades to black.
