August 19

MMP Saturday Night Slams is on the air! More than 15, 000 fans are jammed into the MMP Coliseum for tonight’s big event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.

Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Saturday Night Slams! I’m Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer here at the MMP Coliseum for tonight’s live event. Five huge matches are on tap here tonight at the final event before the Apocalypse pay per view event in St. Louis coming up this Wednesday. Our main event this evening is a huge tag team match as for the first time ever two men who have been rivals for more than two years, stretching all the way back to when their careers began in the Hardcore Wrestling Alliance, will join forces as The Ryno and Aries will be stepping into the ring as tag team partners to take a man that both men know very, very well in Virus Richards and his partner the reigning MMP television champion and the man who will face Aries at Apocalpyse, Twisted Steel. I have no idea what to expect from this match tonight, Ray. Can Ryno and Aries actually co-exist as a team? Frankly, I don’t think I’ll believe that until I see it with my own two eyes.

Brewer: If you ask me, Wood, this team is doomed to failure and we’re still nearly two hours away from the opening bell. These two men have hated each other since the first time these two men started competing under the banner of the old HWA like you say. I don’t see any way that more than two years of hatred can be put aside solely on the basis of a mutual contempt for Adam Kogler, Twisted Steel, and Virus Richards. If Ryno and Aries could work together I’d give them a shot, but there’s no way this is going to work out.

Wood: That seems to be the consensus backstage as well. I spoke to a number of people before going on the air tonight – officials, members of the ring crew, and even some of the wrestlers as well, and no one is expecting this union to last. But that’s not all we’re going to see tonight, not by any stretch of the imagination. “Amazing” Andrew Peters will be back in the ring tonight for the first time since BattleGround 3, putting the midwestern title on the line against a two-time former holder of that belt, one half of the new world tag team champions, Benjamin Childs. We also hope to find out the identity of two mystery men who are set to go one on one tonight as the man known as “The Shadow” takes on the unidentified driver of this caravan that we have seen crossing the country on MMP television as of late, and Ray I heard a few rumors floating around backstage about who these men could be, and if what people are saying is in fact true, these two men are not only men that we have seen before in the MMP, but both are also former champions in this company. If that is true, this match could be the start of a huge shakeup across the MMP. Tonight we kick things off with a preview of what we are going to see coming up at Apocalypse in that big number-one contenders tag team match. Hades and Baital were originally set to face Falcon and The Punisher for the belts at the pay per view, but with Childs and Destroyer winning the title last weekend that all changed and the match became to determine the challengers for the belts at Vindication in September. Those four men will all be in singles competition tonight against one another, and in our opening bout here at the MMP Coliseum it’s going to be the cruiserweight Falcon going one on one with Baital.

BAITAL vs. FALCON

As Jerry Wood finished his introduction of the match, the shot shifted to the parking lot out behind the arena where a limousine with a “High Society” license plate pulled up. The driver got out and opened the back door, and out from the car came Nashira and Aries…followed by Aries’ brother Hades and Hades’ tag team partner, Baital! Aries was carrying a lead pipe, Hades a pair of brass knuckles, and Baital a chain as the quartet walked into the arena and headed right for the ring. Aries, Hades, and Nashira surrounded the ring as Baital stepped through the ropes, stopping to set his chain in the corner before turning to face the entrance way. Falcon’s music hit and the Mexican star came down the aisle with Punisher’s biker buddy Snake and his valet Troy. Falcon passed his MCW cruiserweight title belt to Snake and hopped over the top rope, but by this time Baital had grown impatient and Falcon was met with a quick thumb to the eye even before his feet hit the canvas. With his opponent dazed early Baital wasted little time before going after Falcon’s legs, realizing that his best opportunity to win would come if he was able to take away Falcon’s ability to use his high flying moves. A hard kick took Falcon’s leg right out from under him, and a series of kneedrops across Falcon’s knee soon followed. Falcon’s allegiance to Kamp Kogler drew the ire of the fans, letting Baital actually hear a few cheers for the first time in his career. As Falcon grabbed onto the ropes to pull himself Baital stepped back and ran off the far ropes, coming back with a flying bodypress. Falcon, though, ducked out of the way, causing Baital to go flying over and land face first on the canvas. He took advantage of the opportunity right away, waiting for Baital to get to his feet only to nail Baital with a dropkick to the knee, taking the right leg right out from under his much larger opponent. The Mexican, though, was still heavily favoring his leg after the assault on it earlier in the match so he slowed things down to a screeching halt, grabbing Baital’s right leg, dragging him out towards the middle of the ring and hooking him in a half crab ala Twisted Steel. Falcon wrenched back as far as he could putting pressure on Baital’s knee, but Baital still had plenty of fight in him and he continued to struggle and crawl towards the ropes. Eventually he got within reach of the bottom strand, but before he could grab it to break the hold Snake came around the ring, reached in between the ropes, and nailed Baital with a hard right hand. Baital’s momentum stopped and he fell flat to the mat, but that proved to be a big mistake for Snake. He yelled into the ring taunting Baital after getting his shot in, but then he felt a tap on the shoulder. As Snake turned around he saw Hades standing behind him, still wearing the brass knuckles that he had on at the start of the show. Hades returned the favor, hammering Snake with a hard right hand of his own, knocking him out cold and dropping him hard to the floor. The sound of the commotion on the outside caught Falcon’s attention and he released the crab to turn and see what was happening. When he saw Hades standing over the fallen Snake he stepped up on the bottom rope and reached over the top to try and get at Hades, but Hades wisely backed away and dared Falcon to come out to the floor to get him. Before Falcon had a chance to respond Baital was up to his feet and he wound up and delivered a hard kick to the same leg he had been working on earlier in the match, knocking the leg out and dropping Falcon flat on his back. Falcon grabbed his knee and tried to cover it up but a couple of kicks to the body by Baital forced Falcon to expose the knee, and when he did Baital responded by dropping an elbow down across the joint. As Falcon reached down towards the knee once again, Baital dragged the 140-pound grappler over to the corner before jumping out to the floor and pulling Falcon’s legs around the ring post. The referee warned him not to slam the legs against the steel, and surprising Baital heeded the warning. Instead, however, he hooked Falcon in a figure four leglock, putting tremendous pressure on the already damaged knee. While the referee was administering his count on Baital, fans seated in the nearby section started to part. The Ryno was making his way to ringside, and when he arrived he walked over and took a seat in an empty chair in the first row. He put his feet up on the guardrail and sat back to watch the match, much to the delight of some of the fans around him. In the meantime Baital had averted a disqualification by releasing the figure four just before the referee’s count went the distance, and he rolled back into the ring to confront the official. While the referee was occupied with Baital Aries approached Falcon and delivered a devastating blow to the knee with his lead pipe! Falcon let out a painful scream, but by the time the ref turned around Aries had returned to his corner, leaving the official perplexed as to what had happened. Falcon rolled over in agony, still clutching his leg, as Baital stood back in the middle of the ring, watching and waiting. Once Falcon finally struggled to his feet Baital charged in and went for the Blood Drive, but out of sheer desperation Falcon was able to fall to the side, causing Baital to run shoulder first into the middle turnbuckle. Baital fell to the canvas, and it looked like this was Falcon’s big opportunity. As Aries and Hades went to the corner to check on Baital, Troy jumped up on the apron to grab the attention of the referee. This brought Nashira around to pull Troy down, and a shoving match ensued between the two women. Aries and Hades hurried around to back Nashira up, and while the referee was trying to gain control on the outside Snake, who was finally starting to come around after being knocked out by Hades earlier, slid into the ring with Falcon’s MCW cruiserweight title belt in hand. He and Falcon waited for Baital to get to his feet, and once Baital was up Snake ran in and nailed him square in the forehead with the championship belt. Snake slapped Falcon five, but just as he was going over to the ropes to step out of the ring, Hades saw what had happened. He slapped Aries on the back and told him what went down, and the Greek brothers immediately rushed into the ring. Aries ran over and nailed Snake across the back with his lead pipe, sending Snake through the ropes to the floor, while Hades nailed Falcon from behind with a clothesline. The referee easily saw what was going on and called for the bell, disqualifying Baital for outside interference. Soon Baital was to his feet, and he joined Hades in working over Falcon before whipping him into Aries who nearly took Falcon’s head off with a big boot to the face. The diminutive Mexican was left sprawled out on the canvas as Nashira climbed into the ring to join her men with microphone in hand:

Nashira: Kogler, Aries stated a few days ago that the past has a way of coming back and haunting those that mock it. That was after you stated that High Society was no longer around to protect and watch Aries’ back. Guess what, Kogler. You were wrong. Again. High Society never left and will forever be around. The high life is back.

Nashira tossed the mic down in the middle of the ring before leading her men to the dressing room, leaving Troy to tend to the victorious, yet badly beaten, Falcon.

Wood: So this one will go down in the record books as the first victory in Falcon’s MMP career, but this is hardly the way he was hoping to get it tonight as the first victim of the newest incarnation of High Society. Aries, Hades, Baital, and Nashira are back together Ray, riding under the banner of one of the most successful factions in MMP history.

Brewer: Well, these four are a far cry from the original High Society that once simultaneously held the world, universal, and tag team championship back in August 1998, but I think they sent a clear message tonight that they are not a group to be messed with. This has to throw a wrench into the gameplan of one Adam Kogler, who is going to have to do some serious re-thinking before not only Punisher’s match with Hades later on, but also that big tag team main event. But you know, when I think of High Society there’s one man that immediately comes to mind, and that’s the man who started High Society in the first place, Mr. Marvellous. And that reminds me, I’ve got a few things I want to get off my chest here tonight at the MMP Coliseum. I guess you could say I need to set the record straight on a few issues in the wrestling world. I’ve been told that I am, in fact, going to be given the opportunity to speak center ring later on in tonight’s broadcast, so Aries if you are back there I want you to get on the phone to your buddy Marvellous and tell him to turn the channel over to Saturday Night Slams. I want him and his new associates to hear me loud and clear when I get in that ring tonight.

Wood: I know you’ve been stewing about something all week long, but for whatever reason you’ve been keeping this to yourself. Care to give us a little hint about what’s going on?

Brewer: No, you’ll hear what I have to say when the time is right. I want the affected parties to have a chance to tune in and hear what I have to say. Let no one say I go behind anyone’s back.

Wood: Well if that’s the way it’s going to be so be it, I can’t wait to hear what’s so important that the producers are giving you an opportunity to speak in the middle of the ring here tonight on Saturday Night Slams. In the meantime we take you to our next contest, the attraction that has been dubbed the “mystery match” pitting these two unnamed individuals in the ring here tonight. We have yet to receive confirmation on who either of these wrestlers are, but I have a feeling we’re about to find out. Let’s go back to the ring for our next match.

”THE DRIVER OF THE CARAVAN” vs. “THE SHADOW”

The Grateful Dead’s “Touch of Grey” blared over the loudspeaker as the first of the two unnamed combatants was called out to the ring. Two gypsies stepped through the curtain and held it open as out into the arena walked former MMP universal champion Hassan Abu Saada, entering the MMP Coliseum for the first time in many, many months. Hassan was greated with a loud chorus of boos as he came down the aisle, showing that the fans definitely remembered the egotistical Egyptian from his first tenure in the federation. As Hassan stepped over the top rope into the ring he turned to face the entrance and look for his opponent, and he looked quite disappointed when he saw a shaggy looking man who didn’t look anything like a wrestler making his way to the ring dressed in black. Despite the fact that the man was calling himself The Shadow, no one believed that this was the man who had been appearing in promos the last couple of weeks. The man slid into the ring and Hassan was all over him before he could even get to his feet, hammering him with hard right hands before pulling him up and flooring him with a thunderous headbutt. Hassan then pulled the man up and tossed him over the top rope to the outside where he whipped the man into the steel ring steps. Before Hassan could move in again, “Man in the Box” started to play and the real “Shadow” came down towards the ring with a chair in hand. Hassan came up the aisle to meet the man, but when he did he was met with a wicked chair shot across the top of the head, stopping the large Egyptian right in his tracks. “Shadow” then caught Hassan with a low blow and delivered the End of Days, leaving Hassan laid out face down in the aisle. With his hood still covering his face, the near seven foot tall “Shadow” turned and walked back to the dressing room, causing the referee to stop the match, which he awarded to Hassan by disqualification.

Wood: We now know who the driver of the caravan was, it was Hassan Abu Saada, former universal champion and leader of the group known as The Organization. We still, however, do not know who this “Shadow” is, although judging by the size of him he could be a real force to be reckoned with in the MMP. Ray, do you have any thoughts on…wait a minute, what’s this now…High Society is on their way back out here, so I guess that means we’re going right to our next matchup. Falcon earned a disqualification victory over Baital in our opening match, and now it’s time for the tag team partners of those two men to go head to head as The Punisher is set to take on Hades here on SNS.

THE PUNISHER vs. HADES

As High Society stepped into the ring for the second time on the evening, The Punisher rode down the aisle on his recently recovered motorcycle, the same one that had been stolen and abandoned by Glycerine at Hardcore Saturday Night. Riding right behind him was Snake, who had Punisher’s valet Heavenly holding on behind him. The two men parked their bikes on the opposite side of the ring to where Aries, Baital, and Nashira stood, and Punisher stepped cautiously through the ropes. The two combatants stared each other down and the referee called for the bell to get things under way. Before the action could begin Hades backed up towards the ropes and held them open, offering Punisher a chance to walk out and save himself from a beating like the one Falcon had taken earlier in the evening. Punisher looked out towards Snake and Heavenly, apparently pondering the pros and cons of Hades’ offer. Finally he started moving towards Hades and was apparently ready to accept the offer, but after he stepped through the ropes out to the apron he turned and nailed Hades across the back of the head with a forearm, dropping Hades face first to the mat. Punisher climbed back into the ring and went right after Hades, stomping him across the back as Hades crawled over to the adjacent ropes. Once Hades pulled himself up Punisher whipped him across the ring into the far side ropes, and as he came back in Punisher caught him with a short dropkick to the knee and shinbone. Hades went down and tried to crawl away but Punisher grabbed him by the leg and dragged him back out to the center of the ring where he delivered a pair of kneedrops down on that same injured leg. He then pulled Hades up and simply dumped him through the ropes to the floor before turning to confront the referee about something the cameras couldn’t pick up. Snake started sneaking around the ring to get a shot in on Hades, but before he could even get close Aries and Baital came around to stop him and Snake took off running back to the dressing room with Aries and Baital in hot pursuit the whole way. Punisher saw what was happening and, once realizing that his plan wasn’t going to work, turned back to see Hades using the ropes to pull himself back into the ring. Punisher reached over the top to try and pull the man back in quicker, but Hades countered by reaching up and grabbing Punisher by the head and jumping back down to the floor, causing Punisher’s neck to snap off the top rope. The biker stumbled back towards the center of the ring gasping for air as Hades came back in under the bottom rope. He charged and nailed Punisher with a running clothesline to put the man to the canvas, and then went to work driving his knee repeatedly down into Punisher’s left shoulder. With Punisher favoring his arm Hades pulled his opponent to his feet and slapped him right across the face before putting him an armwringer and wrenching down on the arm to do extra damage to the shoulder, setting up for the Tortured Souls. As the action continued in the ring Ryno, who was still seated in the front row, stood up in his seat and encouraged the crowd to start a “Kogler Sucks” chant. It didn’t take long for the chant to pick up, and before long the MMP Coliseum was filled with the sounds of “Kogler Sucks”. Punisher heard what was being said and it took his focus off the match, allowing Hades to get up a head of steam, run across the ring, and jump over the top rope, pulling Punisher’s arm down across the rope. Punisher, though, composed himself and at the last minute shoved Hades off as he was going over the top. Hades lost his grip on Punisher’s arm and was shoved into the safety rail, hitting chest-first down across the steel. Punisher took a moment to shake his arm, trying to get some feeling back into it, before going down to the floor to meet his opponent. He whipped Hades’ hard into the ring post before sending him back into the ring. The “Kogler Sucks” chant slowly turned into a simple chorus of boos as Punisher took over control of the match. Once back inside he whipped Hades across the ring into the corner and charged in after him with a clothesline, crushing Hades against the buckle. As Hades stumbled out and collapsed to the canvas, Heavenly went over to the timekeeper’s table and grabbed a steel chair. She slid the chair in to Punisher who picked it up, but before he could turn around to go after Hades Nashira came around the ring and nailed Heavenly from behind, knocking her face first to the floor. She then got down and mounted Heavenly and started slamming her head off the floor, which distracted Punisher long enough for Hades to grab him from behind and apply a sleeperhold. With Nashira tearing Heavenly apart on the floor Snake came running back out to the ring and shoved Nashira off, but all that did was bring Aries and Baital back out behind him. The two men grabbed Snake from behind and started hammering him against the safety rail. Inside the ring Punisher was fighting back against Hades’ sleeperhold, reaching back and hammering him with hard elbows to the midsection. The third elbow finally broke the hold and Punisher turned around and swung a wild right hand aimed at Hades’ jaw, but Hades ducked, caught the arm, and tried to apply the Tortured Souls. Punisher, though, grabbed the top rope to hold his position, and didn’t go down. The second time Hades pulled down even harder, but Punisher voluntarily let go of the hold and went down so quickly that Hades was caught off guard. Punisher quickly reached around and rolled Hades into a small package and scored a surprise 1…2…3 on his startled opponent. Hades couldn’t believe what happened and shot to his feet immediately after Punisher let go of the hold. He nailed Punisher with a clothesline from behind and Punisher was having his hand raised, and before long Aries and Baital were also in the ring working over Punisher with Hades. The referee tried to step in and stop it, but he got shoved down for his trouble. After triple teaming Punisher for a few moments Hades and Baital held him up and exposed the shoulder, allowing Aries to get a running start and slam his injured shoulder with the lead pipe! Punisher collapsed in a heap, and a group of referees came running out to break up the assault.

Wood: The Punisher picks up the victory in a minor upset here tonight on Saturday Night Slams, but the price he paid for that win could cost him and Falcon their tag team match coming up at Apocalypse on Wednesday night. That shoulder could be separated or worse, and with the pounding Falcon took earlier tonight I’d have to say that Hades and Baital could have a very light workout at the pay per view.

Brewer: Enough about that, Wood, I’ve waited as long as I’m going to. I’ve got something I want to say to the entire world. Get out of my way, I’m going up into the ring right now.

Interview: RAY BREWER

Brewer set his headset down on the announce table, took the microphone from the ring announcer, and entered the ring to a rather loud round of jeers. He stood patiently in the ring waiting for the fans to quiet down before beginning his monologue.

Brewer: Now then, if you people are just about done, there’s something going in the wrestling business that needs to be addressed. How many people here are familiar with International Championship Wrestling, ICW?

The crowd remains mostly silent, waiting in uncertainty to hear what Brewer is getting at.

Brewer: Yeah, that’s about what I thought. Well, that’s understandable as this company ICW is just a small time operation being run out of some guy’s basement, but what makes them worth mentioning is that they are biggest MMP rip off that has ever come down the pipe.

This statement draws the ire of the MMP faithful, who start to boo even louder than they did when Brewer was getting in the ring.

Brewer: Yeah, you don’t like that, do you? Well, let me tell ya something, neither do I. This past Tuesday night ICW aired their weekly television show, and who should show up but Mr. Beumont. That’s fine, he’s about on the level of most of the talent that ICW has under contract right now, but the problem is that Beumont is going around claiming to be a censor from the MMP! Now, as if we don’t already have enough wrestling censors on TV these days, they hire the cheapest so-called wrestler they can find and start tossing around the MMP name to try and make a name for their federation. The fact of the matter is that Beumont is NOT on the MMP payroll. In fact, he never has been. For every appearance he made on MMP television he got the right to look through the dressing room after the shows were over and take any empty beer bottles that had been left behind. As the chief financial officer of this company, believe me, I know. Now I don’t know who this “Booker J.C.” is that’s running ICW, but I do know that each and every week they’ve got a certain individual that you all know, Mr. Marvellous…

The sound of the name of the originator of High Society brings another chorus of jeers from the sold out crowd.

Brewer: Yeah, you remember that name, do you? This guy goes on ICW TV each and every week talking down on the MMP, about how he was cheated here, about how this federation is crooked, and about how the talent here sucks while he sits there praising the efforts of guys like Riot who were kicked out the MMP after only a couple of weeks because their skills were so minimal that a guy at his first day of wrestling school could wrestle circles around them. It’s so pathetic it’s almost funny. Well, let me tell ya something Marvellous, any time you wanna send some of these ICW main event guys that are getting paid $25 a match down to the MMP to work some dark matches before our shows, we’ll be happy to have them. Maybe when you see them head to head with the MMP talent roster you’ll realize just how sorry the ICW product really is. And if you’d care to respond, you know where to find me.

Brewer tossed the mic down and left the ring, actually hearing some cheers from the crowd as he climbed down the steps. Rather than going back to the announce table, though, he walked right back to the dressing room as fans along the aisle patted him on the back.

Wood: Well, now I can see why Ray Brewer was in such a bad mood over the past few days. I know he comes out and likes to run down some of the guys, but when it comes right down to it he has a great deal of pride in this company. When Grant Lindsay was putting this all together back in 1998, Ray Brewer was right there managing the money and figuring out the best way to get things done. A lot of the success the MMP has seen is a result of Ray’s contributions backstage, and I know he takes it very personally when someone tries to steal the success that this company has had. It’ll be interesting to see if the ICW responds, and if they do I’m sure Ray will have plenty to say next weekend. With that said we must continue on with the card tonight as our two featured bouts are still to come. Up next is the big midwestern championship match as “Amazing” Andrew Peters is set to put the gold on the line against one half of the new tag team champions, Benjamin Childs.

MMP Midwestern Championship Match
”AMAZING” ANDREW PETERS (C) vs. BENJAMIN CHILDS

The challenger made his way down to the ring first, wearing a full length white robe and flanked by two hooded Cult minions. As he stepped through the ropes “Thunder Kiss ‘65” played over the loudspeaker and Andrew Peters made his way towards the ring, accompanied by Amanda. The two stepped through the ropes and Amanda removed her man’s robe, revealing the midwestern championship around Peters’ belt and a large bandage still wrapped around his injured shoulder. As Peters was taking off the title belt Childs attacked him before the bell, going right for the bad shoulder with a running dropkick to the shoulderblade that sent Peters into the turnbuckle. Amanda hurried out of the ring and the ref called for the bell to get the match underway. The champion slumped back against the buckle and Childs started hammering the arm before taking Peters over with an armdrag and going to work with a series of kneedrops down into the shoulder. Peters screamed out in pain as Childs continued, but that didn’t stop the challenger who then slowed everything down by applying an excruciating armbar. The champion leaned into Childs to take the pressure off the arm and then started firing back with right hands to the side of the head, hitting Childs over and over until the challenger let go of the armbar and then wrestling the large Cult member down into a side headlock. Peters controlled Childs and walked him out towards the middle of the ring where he released the headlock and spun around, grabbing Childs’ arm and putting him into a hammerlock. He then went for the Antagonizer, but it was way too early in the match to try and finish off Childs, who quickly dropped down to the canvas to avoid getting locked in the deadly submission hold. He shot back up to his feet, but was met with a hard slap across the face from Peters. Childs responded with a hard kick into the midsection of the champion, which dazed Peters long enough for the challenger to scoop him up and deliver a devastating shoulderbreaker. Rather than letting Peters fall to the canvas, though, Childs kept him up, got back to his feet, and drove Peters’ shoulder down across his knee a second time before letting go, leaving Peters rolling over on the mat clutching his arm in agony. The referee got down to see if Peters wanted to give it up, but the champion violently waved him off despite the obvious discomfort as a result of Childs’ focused assault on the upper arm. With Peters in such great pain that he couldn’t even get to his feet Childs decided to take the match to the air. He stepped out through the ropes and climbed to the top turnbuckle, and once he was up there he jumped off with a diving headbutt aimed right for Peters’ shoulder, but Peters rolled out of the way at the last minute, causing Childs to land face first on the canvas. With Childs down Peters got to his feet quickly and delivered a kneedrop down across Childs’ forehead before pulling the man up and delivering a legsweep. The champion floated over into a cover, but he only got a two count before Childs got a shoulder up. Frustrated Peters pulled Childs up again, this time going for a belly to belly suplex. Childs’ 340 pound frame proved too much for Peters to lift up with his bad arm, though, and he dropped Childs after getting him only a couple of inches off the canvas. Peters doubled over grabbing his arm and Childs took advantage with a hard kick to the gut. He then hooked Peters in a pumphandle position and lifted him up for a slam, but Peters floated over, landing behind Childs where he hooked the challenger in the Antagonizer!! Childs tried to reach out and grab the rope with his one free hand, but Peters managed to pull him back a few steps before falling down to the canvas. He reached around and locked his hands, and Childs had nowhere to go. He had no choice but to give it up, and Peters retained the title via submission.

Wood: Andrew Peters is still the MMP midwestern champion after a gutsy performance here at SNS, picking up a win over Benjamin Childs despite still feeling the effects of that injury from BattleGround 3. I can’t imagine this will sit too well with The Cult Master, but the fact remains that Childs still holds one half of the tag team title belts and he is going to have to put this match behind him as quickly as possible as he has a big match coming up against Harbinger at Apocalypse. Now, however, it’s time for our main event tag team match. The Ryno and Aries team up for the first time ever to take on the team of Virus Richards and Twisted Steel. Let’s go back to the ring for our main event!

VIRUS RICHARDS & TWISTED STEEL vs. THE RYNO & ARIES

Aries’ music played over the loudspeaker as the “Beast from Greece” made his way towards the ring with Nashira at his side. As the big man stepped over the top rope Ryno hopped over the safety rail from his seat in the front row and slid into the ring to stand close behind his new tag team partner. The two men looked out towards the entrance way when Virus, Steel, and Adam Kogler appeared on the giant video screen dressed in street clothes and carrying their bags with them.

KOGLER: Would you look at these two chumps? But I must say, after last week you two clods gave me an idea. Ryno, you've been saying all week that the fans don't want to see Virus or Steel in an MMP ring that they come to see you. You know, I actually tend to somewhat agree with you. What do you think fans would you like to see Steel, Virus, and myself just pack up and leave the MMP Coliseum?

VIRUS: That is the coward’s way out, Ryno probably wouldn’t understand any other approach. What’s that matter, Wyno? Couldn’t find your noose tonight? Maybe we should just leave to give you an extra few minutes to track one down.

KOGLER: Well that's exactly what we'll do. Unfortunately, I guess you're going to have to settle for the second consecutive non-match in as many weeks...

The crowd starts to boo.

KOGLER: ... but if that's what you really want, far be it for us to deprive you of seeing Ryno and Aries bumble around the ring for the next 15 minutes....

VIRUS: Yeah, that would really drive the ratings up, really impress all the workrate buffs with their star systems. Hey Adam, do you know how to fast forward live television? I’d like to see these two work at a normal pace. No? Ah well, I have no intention of standing around to watch this. Let’s go.

Virus, Steel, and Kogler turned and started to head out of the arena, and Aries and Ryno, watching in the arena, looked at one another and ran down the aisle to try and get ahold of their opponent before they could get away. As they were getting to the entrance way, though, Steel and Virus came from the crowd, one from each side of the aisle, and attacked Aries and Ryno from behind, nailing both men with clotheslines. Virus grabbed Ryno and Steel grabbed Aries and started dragging them down towards the ring, but before they could get very far Hades and Baital came running out from the dressing room and nailed Aries’ two opponents with the same foreign objects they had throughout the night, Hades his set of brass knuckles and Baital his long chain. Baital pulled Virus down towards the ring and whipped him hard into the ring steps before starting to lash him with the chain while Aries held Steel up and Hades pounded him with loaded right hands. Ryno moved down towards the ring and asked Baital to back off so that he could get ahold of Virus, who he threw into the ring under the bottom rope. The referee ruled the match a disqualification as a result of Hades and Baital’s interference, but that didn’t matter to any of the four men who were pounding on Virus and Steel. Ryno climbed into the ring after Virus, picked him up, and nailed a Ryno Charge right in the middle of the ring while Aries grabbed the bloodied Twisted Steel and delivered a Godly Drop on the floor!! By this time a swarm of referee’s came running down to the ring to break up the attack, but the damage had been done.
