May 20

NOTE: As a result of neither wrestler sending in a strategy, the scheduled match between Baital and Mr. Beumont has been cancelled.

MMP Saturday Night Slams is on the air! More than 15, 000 fans have packed the MMP Coliseum for tonight's event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.

Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Saturday Night Slams! I'm Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer live at the MMP Coliseum, bringing you the final MMP card before we head to Seattle to kick off WrestleFest in a little over a week's time. We have five big matches signed for tonight, not the least of which is our handicap match main event pitting two of the world title challengers coming up next week on pay per view teaming up to battle one man. That man is the reigning MMP universal champion, Death, who will go one against two with the new team of Virus Richards and Psychotic Sam. This alliance between Richards and Sam is more than a little unusual, but if they can function as a unit they could very well prove to be an insurmountable challenge for the universal champion.

Brewer: We've also got a small preview of the upcoming tag team championship series as the two top contenders, The Congregation and The Front Line, meet up in the ring here tonight. This will be an important momentum builder for both teams. The Congregation will be looking for their first victory as a duo, while this will be, at least to my knowledge, the first time that Masked Man X and The Cloaked Shroud have EVER teamed up. These teams could very well meet on June 1 for the tag team titles, and tonight could give us an indication of exactly what the chances of these two teams are come WrestleFest.

Wood: Several of the new talents around here are also getting a chance to shine before we head to the MMP's two year anniversary card. "Atomic Thunder" Wade Grayson, who has made quite an impression in his early weeks in the MMP, takes on Benjamin Childs in singles competition, and we are also expecting to see the in-ring debut, yes IN RING DEBUT of controversial wrestling columnist Adam Kogler who is set to take on Guru. We kick things off tonight with Jo Roberts in action, looking to exact revenge on the man he feels cost him a chance to go to WrestleFest, the man known as Lexus. Let's go to the ring here on Saturday Night Slams!

JO ROBERTS vs. LEXUS

Lexus made his way down to the ring after Jo Roberts had already made his entrance, and the newcomer wasted little time going right after his adversary. He raked Roberts across the eyes and backed him into the corner before a running clothesline from Lexus sent Roberts up and over the top rope to the floor. Lexus followed the man out, slammed Roberts into the post, and sent the man under the bottom rope back into the ring where he set Roberts on the top rope and delivered a superplex. Lexus was in total control of the match, pulling Roberts back to his feet and delivering a Death Valley Driver before making the cover to get the 1...2...3.

Wood: A dominating performance by Lexus, catching, I would think, most observers by surprise at the ease with which he handled Jo Roberts.

Brewer: Some yes, some no. Roberts has never had a lot of direction, and he seems to be more preoccupied with his former flunky Chedda Cheese than with anyone in the MMP. If you ask me he was prime for the picking, and Lexus took full advantage.

Wood: So Lexus picks up the victory here tonight, marking down one victory for the newcomers over a longstanding competitor in Jo Roberts. Could that be a sign of things to come in our next match? "Atomic Thunder" Wade Grayson looks to continue his winning streak, but standing in his path is one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the MMP, a former multiple time champion in Benjamin Childs.

BENJAMIN CHILDS vs. "ATOMIC THUNDER" WADE GRAYSON

With Grayson already waiting in the ring, Benjamin Childs made his way down the aisle, carrying a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire which Brewer and Wood announced was to be Childs' "weapon of choice" on the first day of WrestleFest in the extreme championship series. He set up his customary table on the outside before rolling into the ring, where he immediately attacked Grayson with a series of right hands that backed the newcomer into the corner. A hard left completed the series, and snapped Grayson's head back against the buckle. Childs picked the man up and dropped him throat first across the top rope, sending Grayson falling backwards head over heels. He then mounted his downed opponent and simply started choking Grayson with his bare hands. The referee quickly intervened and ordered the break and Childs, not wanting to go into WrestleFest on an losing note, agreed to release the hold and pull Grayson back to his feet. He whipped "Atomic Thunder" across the ring into the far corner and charged in with an avalanche, but Grayson stepped out of the way and Childs landed hard, chest-first against the top turnbuckle. Grayson took full advantage of the miscue, knocking Childs to the canvas with a hard running clothesline. He then pulled Childs up and delivered a hard kick to the midsection, doubling Childs over and allowing Grayson to deliver a series of elbowsmashes to the back of the head. From there Grayson pulled Childs over to the corner and slammed him head first into the buckle before backing up to the far side and charging in with a flying back elbow. The elbow struck Childs right across the jaw, sending the former universal champion into a daze and enabling Grayson to apply an abdominal stretch. He kept the hold applied for several moments, but as the crowd started to rally behind Childs the former extreme champion reached down deep and broke the hold, sending Grayson over with a hiptoss. "Atomic Thunder" rebounded to his feet quickly, but he walked right into Childs who picked the man up with a two-handed chokehold which he quickly turned into a chokeslam. Childs then made the cover, but Grayson kicked out after only a two count. Grayson wasn't in the clear, though, as Childs quickly pulled the newcomer up and positioned him for a powerbomb, carrying him over towards the ropes to drop him on the table on the outside. At the last minute, though, Grayson escaped, landing on the ring apron. Before Childs could react Grayson grabbed the man by the back of the head and pulled hard down, snapping Childs' throat off the top rope. Childs fell back into the ring and Grayson soon re-entered himself, waiting for Childs to get to his feet and then nailing him with a hard forearm smash to the head and a belly to belly suplex. Grayson was in total control late in the match, and finally he pulled Childs up for his patented spinning powerbomb. Before Grayson could get the big man up, though, Childs delivered a low blow, causing Grayson to release his grip. While the newcomer was doubled over Childs grabbed the man and delivered the Childs Play running powerbomb! Childs then made the cover to score the three count.

Wood: Benjamin Childs puts an end to the brief winning streak of Wade Grayson, who must now regroup in a hurry if he's to challenge Destroyer for the TV championship coming up on the PPV. We have yet to see how Grayson responds to defeat, and that test couldn't come at a worse time for "Atomic Thunder".

Brewer: This would also seem to fuel the speculation about Childs' chances at success in the extreme title series. Some backstage are thinking he could be one of the favorites to come away with the soon-to-be vacated championship, although one might argue that if Childs has this kind of difficulty with a newcomer he might not be able to handle three superstars the calibre of Crimson, Ryno, and MMX on consecutive days.

Wood: We're ready now for the wrestling debut of infamous wrestling columnist Adam Kogler, who appeared at Hardcore Saturday Night last week on Long Island and had some extremely unflattering things to say about his first exposure to the MMP. Several superstars stepped up to the company's aid, and Guru, a newcomer, even offered to meet Kogler in the ring to settle this issue. That match is next here on Saturday Night Slams.

ADAM KOGLER vs. GURU

With Guru already waiting in the ring, a prolonged silence filled the arena, leading the announcers to speculate that Kogler hadn't shown up. They said that no one had seen him backstage all day, but suddenly a voice could be heard coming from the back.

Voice: "Guru, Guru, Guru!"

Kogler finally came to the ring, being booed loudly by the fans.

Kogler: "Ah, Guru you must be stupider than you look. I wouldn't miss this for the world. I am going to prove to you, and all these half-wit MMP fans, what I've been saying for the past week: MMP SUCKS, and so do you! You will never be worth anything in this business! You are a loser, a deadbeat, a f*cking JOBBER! Look at me I'm a lover, not a fighter. You have me by about 6 inches and 80 pounds and that STILL won't keep you from getting the sh*t kicked out of you. You are garbage Guru, and so is the music you represent. It's about time you got a little taste of Rock and Roll! You-"

As Kogler turned to rip even more on the fans, Guru grabbed him and and pulled him into the ring. After delivering a series of hard right hands Guru connected with a clothesline that sent Kogler over the top rope to the floor, much to the delight of the sold out crowd. Out on the floor Guru pulled Kogler up and delivered a swinging neckbreaker before slamming the loud-mouthed reporter into the ringpost and rolling him back in under the bottom rope. Kogler struggled to get to his feet Guru climbed to the top rope, preparing to deliver the Bow Down just as an unidentified man came running in through the crowd. The man, wearing shiny black pants and a leather vest was identified as MMP newcomer Twisted Steel by the fact that his name was written across the back of the vest in shreds of silver. He reached up and nailed Guru across the back of the head with a black crowbar, causing the referee to call for the bell and declare a disqualification. Steel continued to hammer Guru, busting the man open as Kogler slowly crawled over to grab the mic again.

Kogler: (Breathing heavy) "Yeah! Yeah, Guru, how do you like that? How the hell do you like that? You see, as powerful as I am, I cannot take down the MMP by myself. I MORE than possess the brains, but I'm lacking in the brawn. That's where this man comes in. You see, I met this man months before I came to MMP last week. He was training to become an MMP superstar. He had the look, and as you can plainly see he has the ability. But he didn't get a contract. You know why? The BRASS told him that he didn't have personality! He didn't have attitude! He didn't have a gimmick! Well, I say to the MMP, you can take your gimmicks and cram them up your ass! I now control this man's destiny, and I have enough attitude for the both of us! He'll show the MMP what a dire mistake they made. So to everyone in the back, let me warn you that you are all on notice. The MMP will soon cease to exist. And it will die a slow, agonizing death at the hands of myself and TWISTED STEEL!"

Twisted Steel then pulled Guru up and delivered The Living End before walking out with Kogler, leaving Guru in a pool of his own blood.

Wood: I knew Kogler was up to something! There's no way he could have expected to hang in an actual match against a trained, talented wrestler like Guru. It looks like he's pulled the wool over everyone's eyes with the debut of Twisted Steel.

Brewer: You know, for all the yelling and screaming Kogler does, some of what he has to say has merit. I don't like seeing jobbers wrestling hobos on wrestling shows, either. It disgraces the business having people like Mr. Beumont running around an MMP ring. Kogler needs to realize, though, that being mentioned on MMP for two weeks in a row is better exposure than he could ever generate with his little internet column. If he's smart he'll watch his mouth so that the suits don't just decide to ignore him. I don't know if his career could take it.

Wood: I'm not getting involved in this argument. I'm proud to be an employee of the MMP, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Mr. Kogler has his. I don't have to agree with it, but he has a right to express it. We're set for tag team action coming up next. The Congregation meets The Front Line here on SNS.

THE CONGREGATION vs. THE FRONT LINE

The Front Line came to the ring first, accompanied by both Mighty Midget and Lady Enigma. As they arrived at the ring, though, they were ambushed by The Congregation, who came out from under the ring wielding fire extinguishers!! Ryno and Masochrist sprayed MMX and Shroud in the face with their extinguishers before the Line could react, blinding both men long enough to fully climb out from their hiding spot. Ryno then grabbed MMX and whipped him hard into the steel steps while Masochrist picked the dazed Shroud up on his shoulders and tossed him like a dart into the ring post, slamming Shroud's shoulder hard against the steel. He then rolled Shroud in under the bottom rope while Ryno remained on the outside with MMX. Just then the fans started to part as Super Cupid made his way through the crowd, taking up a seat in the front row, watching on as Ryno sandwiched MMX's head between the post and the ring steps and kicked the steps against the man's head, crushing it against the steel. In the ring Masochrist rushed Shroud with a lariat, but the masked man ducked and countered with a running shoulder tackle that staggered Maso back towards the ropes. Shroud then delivered a hard forearm to the chest before snapmaring Maso over and applying a rear chinlock, allowing Shroud to catch his breath while wearing Maso down at the same time. After a few moments The Ryno, seeing that Shroud had taken over control of the match, climbed up into the ring and tried to break up the hold, but Shroud released the hold on his own and turned to deliver a dropkick to Ryno. Ryno tumbled out through the middle ropes and Shroud turned back towards Maso. By this time Maso was to his feet, but that didn't turn Shroud away. The masked man ran towards his larger opponent to get some momentum behind his attack, but Maso caught him coming in and delivered a punishing powerslam. Ryno hopped up into his corner and reached out to make the tag. He came in the ring and came at Shroud with a spear, but the masked man stepped out of the way, sending the man shoulder first into the middle turnbuckle. Both Ryno and Shroud were down, struggling to make it to their respective corners. Ryno made the tag first, and Shroud make the exchange with MMX, who by then was anxious to get in the ring, soon after. MMX ran in and caught Maso with a clothesline, and then delivered a second clothesline to Ryno, sending the man down off the apron to the floor. Shroud tried to get back into the action but the referee was there to cut him off, trying to usher the man out to the apron. While the ref's back was turned Ryno slid back into the ring, though he wasn't the only one. Right behind Ryno was Super Cupid, who was carrying a steel chair. Cupid positioned himself behind Masochrist and waited for the man to turn around, and when he did Cupid swung right for the man's head. Maso saw him in time, though, and ducked out of the way of the chair shot...causing it to connect across the back of Ryno. Ryno went down hard, landing him right at the feet of MMX. Ignoring the fact that his partner was down Masochrist chased Cupid out of the ring and all the way back to the dressing room. With Ryno laid out in front of him MMX simply looked over at his tag team partner before pulling the man up and delivering the X-Plex. Shroud directed the ref back to the match where he counted the three on Ryno, giving the win to The Front Line.

Wood: The Front Line are your winners, but not without a little outside interference on the part of Super Cupid. It sure looks like Super Cupid is taking issue with Ryno and Masochrist using the name that he claims he made famous.

Brewer: Well, I have to be honest, when Cupid first came into the MMP he brought the Congregation name with him. Frankly, Ryno and Masochrist haven't been very succesful with that name. Cupid feels slighted by it. I'm not going to get involved in their little tift, but I do see where Cupid is coming from.

Wood: And let's not forget that we could well see a return match between these two teams on the final day of WrestleFest. If Masochrist and Ryno can win the tag team championship on May 31 they will have a defense against The Front Line on the final day of the event, and perhaps we would see a clear, decisive winner between these two duos. It's main event time here on SNS, the handicap match is up next!

Handicap Match
VIRUS RICHARDS & PSYCHOTIC SAM vs. DEATH

The first man introduced was Psychotic Sam, who came to the ring with Havoc, Mike the Giant Retard, and Mr. Beumont. Once he arrived at the ring, Sam demanded a mic:

Psychotic Sam- Everyone please be quit. I would at this moment in time being the King of Spain Like to thank the Great Duke of wales Virus Richards for helping my great country in getting me the title shot I so long have desered. Now please except this great gift From spain. Will everyone please rise and stand for the Wales National Antheam.

Sam was cut short as Virus' entrance music played over the loudspeaker, introducing the extreme champion as Mike waved the Wales flag in the ring. Virus cliimbed the steps and entered the ring to stand beside The Family. As soon as he stepped through the ropes, though, Death and Q came through the crowd. Death reached in under the bottom rope and pulled Virus' feet out from under him, straddling him around the steel ring post. Death then slid into the ring and went for Sam as the other members of The Family got down to the floor to hassle Q. Mike asked Q if he could go to his office to use the internet and Beumont asked him for change. Q quickly turned away from the duo, but walked right into Havoc, who applied his old Saint finisher, the Hand of God. Death turned momentarily when he saw what was happening to Q, allowing Sam to take him down with a running clothesline. He then began stomping on the universal champion as Virus finally started to pull himself to his feet. Virus joined Sam in pounding on Death, kicking him into the canvas and screaming at Death that this is what happens to people who try to jump him. The two world title contenders pulled Death up off the mat and whipped him to the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a hard double clothesline. Sam stepped out to the apron and Virus took over the match, pulling Death up to his feet. Before Virus could get a shot in, though, Death nailed the extreme champion with a low blow, causing Virus to fall to his knees. Death hurried over to the corner and hopped up to the second turnbuckle, where he waited for Virus to get to his feet. Virus got up and Death dove off with a flying clothesline, nearly taking Richards' head off his shoulders. He then pulled Virus up and set him up for a piledriver, but before he could get Virus up Sam rushed into the ring and caught Death with a flying bodypress. Sam tried to make the cover, but since he wasn't the legal man in the ring the ref refused to count. While Sam was arguing with the referee Death shoved Virus away and raked Sam's eyes before delivering a dropkick that sent Virus out to the floor. Death shot back to his feet but Sam was all over him, tackling Death to the canvas and proceeding to bite the universal champion's ankles. The official started his count and finally forced Sam to break, but when he finally did let up Mr. Beumont had crawled into the ring, asking Death if he had any empties he could have to cash in. While the referee was preoccupied with Sam and Death was distracted by Beumont, Virus slid into the ring with his extreme championship belt and nailed Death across the back of the head. Death went down like a ton of bricks, and Virus quickly tossed the belt aside to avoid a disqualification. The ref turned to face Virus, who shoved past the official to tell Sam that he just heard that Death was planning to implement a trade embargo against Spain's wooden toilets. Sam snapped, running around the ring screaming before pulling the unconscious Death up off the canvas and delivering the Psychotic Smash. As soon as Death's head struck the canvas Virus came off the top rope with the frog splash, covering him for the 1...2...3. Sam, still enraged by Virus' accusation, jumped on Death and started slamming Death's head off the canvas as the screen fades to black.
