MMP Saturday Night Slams is on the air! More than 15, 000 fans have packed the MMP Coliseum for tonight's huge event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.

Wood: Welcome, everyone, to an abbreviated edition of MMP Saturday Night Slams! I'm Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer as tonight we bring you the final MMP event prior to the gigantic Homicidal Tendencies PPV coming up this Wednesday. Many of the MMP superstars have focused their attentions on that big event, but we still have three big matches for you here tonight. Two titles will be on the line, and in the main event the MMP world champion is in action as The Bootlegger takes on The Cloaked Shroud in a non-title match.

Brewer: Both the tag team and midwestern championships will be on the line tonight. A small preview of Homicidal Tendencies when two of the teams involved in the three-fall, four-way ladder match will do battle to decide who will go into the PPV as the defending tag team champions as Death and Wolverine put the belts on the line against The Congregation. Whatever the outcome these two teams will meet again in a few days, with Harbinger & The Destroyer, Benjamin Childs & George Achica, and the universal and TV titles all thrown into the mix.

Wood: We kick things off tonight with the first of our two title matches. "Amazing" Andrew Peters, just days before his much anticipated showdown with The Cloaked Shroud at Homicidal Tendencies, puts the title on the line against a man making his very first appearance in the MMP. He's from Hollywood, California and goes by the name of Lexus, and tonight he looks to make a big impact is his first outing by taking the midwestern championship away from the man who has held it for the past two months. Let's go to the ring for our opening bout!

MMP Midwestern Championship Match
"AMAZING" ANDREW PETERS vs. LEXUS

With Lexus already waiting in the ring Peters came down the aisle, without Amanda by his side who was away on a business trip and couldn't attend the match. After holding the belt high for all to see and handing the strap to the referee, Peters walked towards the center of the ring and extended his hand towards Lexus. He insisted that the gesture was sincere, and Lexus reluctantly reached out and accepted the handshake. Peters' intentions, though, proved as most suspected, and he nailed Lexus with a boot to the midsection while the two men's hands were still connected which was followed by a DDT. The crowd booed loudly as Peters took over the match, bouncing off the ropes and driving a knee down into the rookie's forehead. He pulled Lexus up and took him over with a vertical suplex, then dropped down with an elbow across the chest. Peters made the cover, but Lexus kicked out after a two count. The rookie reached up and hit Peters with a right hand to the midsection, then another, and slowly pulled himself to his feet. He went to whip Peters off the ropes but the midwestern champ reversed it and sent Lexus off the far side, catching him coming back in a sleeperhold. Lexus began to wear down but managed to draw on his reserves and fire a couple of elbows into Peters' midsection, forcing Peters to release the hold. Peters staggered back towards the ropes and the challenger charged in, but Peters ducked out of the way of Lexus' attack and caught him with a drop toehold, riding it over right into the Antagonizer! Lexus didn't hold on for long and quickly gave it up, allowing Peters to retain the title. The celebration didn't last long, though, as Aries and Hades suddenly emerged from the crowd and attacked the champion in the ring. The two men stomped Peters into the canvas while the referee, still in the ring, shouted at them to get out of there. Hades shoved the ref to the canvas as Aries pulled Peters up and delivered the Godly Drop. The two Greek stars then exited the ring and walked out, leaving both Peters and the referee down on the mat.

Wood: Andrew Peters is still the midwestern champion, although it looks like he's going to be at less than one hundred percent as he heads into the PPV to face The Cloaked Shroud. As for Lexus, a less than impressive outing in his first match here with the MMP.

Brewer: Just another example of a rookie coming in here and thinking he's going to take over the company in his first week on the job. Hopefully Lexus will learn that there is a pecking order around here, and he's going to have to work his way up rather than trying to make the leap all at once. There are too many guys here who have worked too hard to earn their spots to just let a hothead come in here and walk all over them like that.

Wood: I have to agree with you, Ray. It's always been the guys who knew how to work their way up that have seen success in the MMP. Wrestlers who come in shooting for the moon all at once tend to have their egos deflated quickly, and usually don't last very long. A lot is going to depend on what Lexus does from here in terms of his long term success here. The tag team championship is on the line next as Death and Wolverine get set to put the belts on the line for the first time since winning them back at March Mayhem in Durham, North Carolina. Their opponents are both former world champions, referring of course to The Congregation. The winners will go on to defend the titles in the ladder match at Homicidal Tendencies.

MMP Tag Team Championship Match
DEATH & WOLVERINE (C) vs. THE CONGREGATION

The Congregation's music played over the loudspeaker to introduce the challengers, but only Masochrist came down to the ring. As he stepped through the ropes the giant video screen showed the crowd where Ryno was. He was backstage in the corridor, just outside the dressing room of Virus Richards, assaulting the MMP extreme champion with a baseball bat! Two shots to the back dropped Virus to the floor, but just then a chair shot to the back from Virus' bodyguard Spikes did the same to Ryno. Spikes then delivered a chair shot to the ribs while Ryno was down as Virus got to his feet. The two men stomped Ryno until a group of officials came in and broke it up. Back in the arena Death and Wolverine had arrived at the ring, and seemed in as disagreeable a mood as ever. Just as the bell sounded to get things underway, the lights in the arena went out. When they came back up, the mysterious figure known as Triple 6 who had been interrupting The Congregation's interviews of late had appeared on the apron in Masochrist's corner. Masochrist looked over with a confused look on his face at the man in the corner, but the distraction simply allowed Wolverine to get the first shot in, taking Maso down with a lariat. He isolated Maso's leg and delivered a series of elbowdrops to the knee before pulling the man to his feet and taking him over to the corner, where he slammed Maso head first into Death's outstretched boot and made the tag to his partner. Death came in and took over where Wolverine left off, driving a knee down into his opponent's forehead and pulling Maso to his feet and whipping him off the far ropes. As Maso came back in Death picked him up and slammed him down with a sidewalk slam. This time it was Death going to the corner and making the exchange, showing the first signs of real teamwork that the champions had ever shown since coming together. Wolverine hurried in and dropped an elbow, but Masochrist rolled out of the way, leaving Wolverine to catch nothing but canvas. Death slammed the top turnbuckle in frustration as Masochrist began to build momentum. He began stomping on Wolverine as the co- champ was down on the canvas, and then grabbed the man's legs and catapulted him across the ring into the far turnbuckle. Wolverine hit the corner head first and stumbled backwards into Masochrist, who delivered a knee to the back to slow the man down followed by an inverted DDT. Maso then pulled Wolverine over to the corner, where he tied the man upside down in the tree of woe. With Triple 6 reaching out desperately an insisting that Maso make a tag the former world champion backed up to the other side of the ring and charged in with a dropkick aimed for Wolverine's face, but Wolverine managed to pull himself up out of the way, causing Maso to go sliding through underneath and straddle himself around the steel ring post!! A look of absolute agony crossed Maso's face as he struck the steel, and Wolverine managed to free himself from the buckle, causing him to fall down on the back of Maso's head as he was released. Both men crawled towards their respective corners, although all that stood in Maso's corner was Triple 6. Wolverine reached up and made the tag to Death just as Maso reached up towards Triple 6. Suddenly, out from the dressing room came Ryno, who pulled Triple 6 off the apron and accepted Maso's tag. He hurried into the ring, but his momentum was quickly stopped as Death took him down with a flying shoulder tackle. Ryno was still favoring his ribs after the assault from Virus and Spikes, and Death did his best to capitalize on the situation. Outside the ring Wolverine circled around and yanked Maso down off the apron, causing him to hit face first on the ring apron. He then whipped Maso into the steel safety rail before climbing up onto the apron and delivering a double axhandle blow across the back. On the inside Death charged Ryno with a clothesline, but Ryno ducked and went for a kick to the midsection. Death caught the boot, but he couldn't get out of the way of the insigury kick that was aimed right for the back of his head. Death went down hard and Ryno gave the sign for the Ryno Charge. He lifted Death high in the air, but just before he could drive the man down Wolverine got back in the ring and nailed him with a chop block, causing him to drop Death lightly to the mat. Ryno clutched the back of his leg in pain, allowing Wolverine to pick him up and deliver the Michigan Death Driver! Wolverine got up and went to make a cover when suddenly he was met with a superkick to the jaw from his own tag team partner!! Wolverine went down hard and Death made the cover on Ryno to score the 1...2...3. Death then hurried out to the floor, grabbed both tag title belts, and took off running back to the dressing room just as Wolverine came around. Once he realized what happened he took off after Death, leaving The Congregation and Triple 6 about ringside. Triple 6 started to walk away when Ryno grabbed a microphone.

Ryno: Hold up Altar Boy! Get your ass back here!

Triple 6 turned around and got back into the ring, facing The Congregation before Ryno spoke again.

Ryno: You know, I really didn't understand it. I mean, you ridicule us saying we're not evil enough for you and then you come out and you want to be Maso's tag partner. I thought a little bit and then I realized who you really were. Cuz back when I was looking for Virus, I passed by your dressing room and saw a whole lot of pot smoke coming out from underneath your door. And everyone here knows that there were 2 big pot heads in the history of the MMP. One of them died and the other one got fired. And since I really doubt you're the dead one, then you gotta be the other one.

Ryno then pulled the hood off of Triple 6, revealing him to be Mack. Ryno and Mack shared a little hug while Maso looks to be confused.

Ryno: Man, I missed you. How's it been?

Mack: It's been good. Starla and I are still together. Still making movies. Life was pretty good but I had to come back.

Ryno: And I bet you did all this Triple 6 crap just to join up with me again.

Mack: Yeah. How'd I do?

Ryno: I think you did pretty damn good. And there's a spot for you in The Congregation...but there's just one little tiny problem. You know when I got out of the asylum a while back, I got a little piece of news from Dr. Patton's assistant and he said that you and him had a little disagreement during your visit. I wasn't sure what to believe but then he gave me a little video that I think you and all the fans really want to see.

The video screen then showed footage of Mack's visit, when he was talking to the doctors about how he only hung out with Ryno back in the day just to get homework answers and make him look good compared to Ryno. Mack looks at this with his jaw wide open and when the video ends, Ryno gets back on the mike.

Ryno: Ever since I saw that, I've wanted to see your sorry ass in pain. So Maso, do the honors.

Ryno turned away while Maso grabbed Mack around the throat with both hands and hoisted him up in the air. Suddenly, Ryno turned back around and yelled at Maso.

Ryno: Stop! Wait a second. I've had a change of heart. Maso, don't beat up my friend. ...I wanna do it!

Ryno dropped the mike on the mat and decked Mack with a hard right hand. Mack fell over and Ryno mounted him, peppering him with more punches. Ryno then picked him back up and got him in position for the Ryno Charge, but instead of dropping him on the mat, he threw him over the top rope and through the timekeepers table. Ryno then went out to the wreckage at ringside, stood over Mack, and grabbed the mike again.

Ryno: Wipe those bloody tears out of your eyes and look at me when I'm talking to you, you p*ssy! For all my life, I thought you were my friend. I thought you were there when everyone sh*t on me but I never thought you were sh*tting on me too. And when you came back, I thought you were helping me but you only came back to ride my coattails to fame. And in doing all of that, you f*cked yourself. Now you are dead to me, you hear me?? I don't give a sh*t about you anymore. There's no spot for you in The Congregation. There's no spot for you in my life anymore. So before you're gone for good, I'm going to tell you something that I've heard all my life, especially something that your stoner friends said about me and you agreed with them behind my back. And that is...You are nothing! You always were nothing and you'll always be nothing! So f*ck you, I got a new friend now and he's not some little p*ssy like you. Oh, and I thought you weren't supposed to be in the MMP so when they stretcher you on out of here, remember that you are not allowed back in The Congregation's ring. Goodbye, "pal".

Ryno gave Mack a couple of kicks to the head before he and Masochrist headed back to the dressing room.

Wood: Well, it looks like the long standing friendship between The Ryno and former MMP wrestler Mack has come to an end here on Saturday Night Slams. We hadn't seen Mack since he lost the retirement match against Big Daddy Cash last summer, and from the looks of things we won't be seeing him again for quite some time.

Brewer: Hey, I want to know what he was even doing out here. He's not supposed to be allowed backstage in the arena. He's not a wrestler. If Mack wants to come to MMP events, he has to buy a ticket, and in that case he has no business being out around the ring. If you can hear me backstage, I want that man placed under arrest for trespassing and being a public nuisance. It clearly states on the back of every ticket to every MMP card that any fans becoming involved in the event will be subject to arrest and possible criminal charges. I want someone to make sure this is done.

Wood: I think that might be a little extreme, Ray, but you're right. Fans should never, under any circumstances, try and get involved in the action here. Someone could get seriously hurt, and nobody wants that. Either way, Death and Wolverine are still the MMP tag team champions, and they will go into Homicidal Tendencies as the champions to defend the belts against three other teams in the gruelling ladder match. It's time for our main event here on Saturday Night Slams. The MMP world champion, The Bootlegger, goes in for his final tune-up match before the dangerous game tag team match at the pay per view as he takes on the undefeated newcomer, The Cloaked Shroud in a non-title match.

THE BOOTLEGGER vs. THE CLOAKED SHROUD

The Cloaked Shroud arrived to the ring first, accompanied by Lady Enigma. Enigma remained on the floor as Shroud stepped through the ropes where he stood waiting patiently for his opponent. "Paint it Black" then blared over the loudspeaker as The Bootlegger, accompanied by Passion and The Black Cross, made his way towards the ring. As he climbed into the ring he pulled a microphone out from under his robe.

BOOTLEGGER: "Hello fiends and friends in the MMP, your friendly neighborhood WORLD CHAMPION here."

The vile one opened his robe a little so the fans could see the world title around his waist. They booed loudly.

BOOTLEGGER: "Today, I'll be doing you, the little people, a public service. Today I unmask the CLOAKED SHROUD. The mysterious stranger who only recently arrived in the MMP and has spent his entire time here preaching about morality and honor. This man... this LYING monster who has tricked and poisoned your children with his LIES... he is no saint, he is no World War Two hero!!! As a matter of fact, I have concrete proof that this man is nothing more than a common THUG!!!"

The wicked gangster motioned to the giant screen as a somewhat blurry photograph of a man who looks almost exactly like SEAN WILLIAMS, the former GHETTOMAN, appeared.

BOOTLEGGER: "HE'S GHETTOMAN!!! The lowest piece of human trash to ever compete in the MMP!!!!"

Shroud turned his head away in disgust at the notion that he was Ghettoman, allowing Bootlegger to catch the newcomer off guard with a running clothesline even before the opening bell. Bootlegger then took a second to remove his robe and his MMP world championship belt before pulling Shroud to his feet. He hammered the mysterious man with right hands in corner and moved him out into the middle ropes, where he sent Shroud across to the other side with an Irish whip. Bootlegger caught Shroud on the rebound in a slam position, only to fall back and slam the man to the canvas with a fallaway slam. The world champ followed up with a kneedrop to the head, and then locked on a sleeperhold. Shroud was in bad shape in the early going but he did manage to fight back, slowly battling back to his feet and nailing Bootlegger with a back kick that caught the champion just a little below the belt, forcing the hold to be broken. While Bootlegger was doubled over Shroud bounced off the ropes and caught him with a spinning heel kick that dropped the Italian to the canvas. Shroud then pulled the man up and delivered a shoulderbreaker, but rather than simply allowing Barlotta to fall to the mat he maintained contact and sent the world champion into the corner across the ring. Bootlegger struck the corner hard and Shroud followed in almost immediately, ramming repeated shoulders into the Italian's midsection, knocking the wind out of the man. He then grabbed Bootlegger and went to whip him into the opposite corner but Bootlegger reversed the move and it was Shroud who ended up striking the turnbuckle. Bootlegger followed in and delivered a big clothesline in the corner before connecting with a series of right hands to the side of the head. Dazed, Shroud stumbled forward right into Bootlegger's arms and the champion picked Shroud up and slammed him to the mat with a belly to belly suplex. The crowds boos grew louder as Bootlegger had taken control of the match once again, intensifying even further when Bootlegger pulled Shroud up and locked on an abdominal stretch. After barely a few seconds Bootlegger reached back and grabbed the top rope for extra added leverage but the referee, who had seen this tactic from Bootlegger a hundred times before, was quick to see what was going on and ordered that Bootlegger release the hold. The world champion was irate, and soon became engaged in a heated argument with the referee over the call, completely ignoring Shroud, who was pulling himself together behind the Italian. Just as Shroud got back to his feet Bootlegger turned and delivered a thumb to the eye, stopping Shroud in his tracks before he could get a shot in. He then delivered an atomic drop, sending Shroud through the ropes and out to the floor at the feet of Passion and The Black Cross, before turning back to the referee and changing the topic of discussion to the, in Bootlegger's opinion, unacceptable loudness of the speakers in the arena. While this argument was going on Passion and Cross started stomping away on Shroud, but it wasn't long before Lady Enigma circled the ring and pulled Passion away. The two women wrestled each other to the floor, and while they grappled Shroud fought off Cross, sending the masked man hard into the steel ring steps before getting back into the ring. Shroud slid in and got back to his feet right behind Bootlegger, who was still complaining about the sound system in the MMP Coliseum. As a result of his preoccupation Bootlegger never saw Shroud until the masked man had grabbed him by the head and delivered an inverted DDT!! Shroud then made the cover for the 1...2...Bootlegger kicked out right before the three count, much to the chagrin of the sold out crowd, who let out a loud sigh as the Italian's shoulder came up off the canvas. Shroud didn't stop there, though, pulling Bootlegger up and dropping him throat first across the top rope. As Bootlegger staggered back Shroud caught him with a kick to the back and then locked him in the Cloaked Clutch! Shroud walked the man out towards the center of the ring, making it impossible for Bootlegger to reach the ropes. Out of sheer desperation Bootlegger reared back and used a back kick to the groin to break the hold, much the same way Shroud had broken Bootlegger's sleeperhold earlier in the match. The ref got right in Barlotta's face and warned him that another move like that would get him disqualified on the spot. Bootlegger was not impressed with the assertive referee, and showed his displeasure by flooring the ref with a hard right hand. A clothesline from Bootlegger put Shroud to the canvas, but as the masked man went down the sound of the ring bell could be heard in the background. The referee had disqualified Bootlegger, and awarded the match to The Cloaked Shroud! Bootlegger was irate and tossed the ref out to the floor as The Black Cross got in the ring with a steel chair. Bootlegger taunted Shroud and dared him to get up, but once the man was to his feet Shroud connected with a vicious chair shot across the back! The two men double-teamed Shroud as garbage filled the ring. Finally a group of extra referees came out from the dressing room to break it up, pushing Bootlegger to one corner and Cross to another as the screen fades to black.
