April 1
MMP Saturday Night Slams is on the air! More than 15, 000 fans are
packed into the MMP Coliseum for tonight's event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray
Brewer are at ringside.
Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Saturday Night Slams! I'm
Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer counting down the days to the Homicidal Tendencies
pay per view event with an action packed lineup here tonight at the MMP Coliseum. Six
big matches have been signed and will take place here tonight, and it all leads up to our big
main event, the much anticipated return match between The Cult Master and one half of
the MMP tag team champions, Death. Their first meeting was interrupted thanks to
interference from The Regulator, but I understand that the MMP universal champion is
not in the building tonight and so we may, in fact, finally get a clear cut winner between
these two men.
Brewer: When Death and The Cult Master went at it a couple of weeks ago, it really
looked like Cult Master was getting ready to put Death away and pick up the victory over
his former follower. Thanks to the outside interference he still scored the win, but as
someone who used to compete in this great business I can tell you that a disqualification
victory is nothing compared to the feeling of satisfaction you get when you're able to beat
your opponent right in the middle of the ring. Both men are highly motivated going into
the match tonight. With the amount of trash talking Death has been doing in recent weeks
he certainly needs to pick up a win here to prove that there is some substance behind what
he says, while for The Cult Master there could be much, much more at stake. You know
that the two year anniversary of the MMP is coming up, and we will be marking that
occasion with The Parade of Champions at the end of May. Rumor backstage has it that
The Cult Master is being considered as a candidate to possibly be one of the three men to
challenge for the MMP world title during that event, but even one loss in the coming
weeks could hinder if not destroy Cult Master's chances at securing such a match. He'll
need to be in top form tonight.
Wood: In addition to that we have five other big matches on the card tonight. In a special
falls count anywhere match The Ryno will do battle with Crimson. Aries, fresh off his win
last week over Masochrist, renews his old rivalry with Benjamin Childs as those two men
meet in singles competition. Wolverine looks to ride the momentum of his tag title win as
he attempts to avenge his loss several months ago against Hyoga, and we will see the new
crop of MMP talent in action as well. We kick things off tonight with a match between
two of the most recent additions to the MMP roster, a bout between two men whose
careers have taken off in opposite directions in recent weeks. John "The Focus" Ashley
won his debut match a couple of weeks ago while his opponent Hades has struggled, both
in the ring and in his attempts to secure interview time. A big match for both men as they
look to move up the ladder of success as we go to the ring for the opening contest here on
Saturday Night Slams!
JOHN "THE FOCUS" ASHLEY vs.
HADES
With Focus already waiting in the ring Hades made his way slowly
down the aisle, with his brother Aries following closely behind. Ashley had a determined
look on his face as he waited for Hades to step through the ropes, but that didn't deter the
Greek newcomer who went right after his opponent and engaged him in the center of the
ring. Hades gained the early upper hand, taking Ashley with a hiptoss and dropping an
elbow right down across the man's shoulder as he tried to get up. Focus collapsed to the
mat, and it was clear he was in a great deal of pain. His arm had jammed awkwardly into
the mat as a result of the elbowdrop, apparently injuring his elbow which he favored
heavily as he got back to his feet. Hades spotted this weakness right away and took full
advantage of it, grabbing Focus and executing an arm-wringer on the bad arm. He then
ran towards the corner and jumped out through the middle ropes, pulling Focus through
the ropes and slamming his injured arm shoulder-first into the steel ring post. Focus
collapsed back into the ring, clutching his arm in pain, while Hades tried to get the
attention of the main cameraman on the outside. The cameraman, though, ignored Hades,
instead choosing to focus on the man in the ring as the referee was asking Ashley if he
wanted to continue. Ashley apparently insisted that the match go on as the official quickly
backed away while Hades, frustrated by his lack of exposure, got back in the ring. By this
point Focus was back on his feet and he charged at Hades, attempting a clothesline with
his good arm. Hades ducked under and caught Focus with a clothesline of his own,
sending the injured man over the top rope to the floor. As Ashley hit the concrete below,
Hades walked over to the referee and diverted the official's attention by complaining about
the cameraman refusing to give him interview time out on the floor. While the discussion
was going on Aries approached Focus from behind and pulled the man back to his feet.
Once Ashley was up Aries whipped the man hard into the ring post, causing him to hit
shoulder-first, furthering the injury to the arm. He then tossed Focus back into the ring
where Hades was still complaining to the ref, but when Hades saw Focus laying at his feet
he broke of his tirade and pulled his opponent up once more. Still focusing on the bad
arm, Hades scooped Ashley up and nailed a devastating shoulderbreaker, again prompting
the ref to ask Ashley if he wanted to quit. Again Ashley said "no", despite the fact that he
was in obvious pain. Focus was slow to get up this time, signalling to Hades that it was
about time to try and put the man away. Once Ashley regained his vertical base Hades
came up on him from behind and applied the Tortured Souls submission hold. This time
Ashley couldn't refuse the referee and had to tap out. Hades was declared the winner for
the first time in his MMP career.
Wood: Hades is your winner here in the opening match on Saturday
Night Slams in what I have to say is at least a minor upset. Not many people were
predicting big things for Hades, while some believed that John Ashley had the potential to
perhaps be a champion in the MMP some day. It looks like at least one of those
arguments has taken a hit with tonight's somewhat surprising result.
Brewer: You see, Wood, this is why I always tell you not to go crazy over the rookies like
you do. It seems like any time a new guy comes out and wins a match or two you, as well
as a lot of the so-called insiders, act as if the guy is the next world champion. But you see,
this is the big time, Wood. You can't get in here without at least showing some good
signs of potential. Some guys can handle the pressure of being with a top promotion, and
some guys can't. I don't know if that's the case with Ashley or not, but I've seen it a
thousand times before and I'm sure I'll see it a thousand times more before I'm finished in
this business. An upset? I don't think so. We've only seen Hades and The Focus in the
ring a couple of times each. That's hardly enough to gage where either man is at. The
important thing is that Hades is your winner while it's back to the drawing board for
Ashley. Maybe now Aries' little brother will be able to get some promo time.
Wood: Well, that remains to be seen. I understand that Ashley is receiving attention
backstage trying to measure the seriousness of his injury, and we will try to have an
update for you before we go off the air here tonight.
The camera abruptly cuts to the backstage area, where The Ryno is
walking down the hall getting mentally prepared for his match with Crimson later on in the
evening. As he turns a corner a startlingly attractive woman walks up to him and tries to
strike up a conversation. Before Ryno can respond, he is met with a baseball bat across
the back of the head, which knocks the man down hard to the floor. The assailant then
walks in front of the camera, identifying himself as Death! Death takes the woman's arm
and the two walk away laughing.
Wood: What a vicious attack from Death backstage! The Ryno has
been knocked unconscious, only an hour or so away from his big hardcore match against
Crimson! This is...can we get some medical attention back there? Steve Lewin, can you
get back there and find out how serious this attack was and if there will be any
reprecutions for the match later tonight? Folks we're only minutes into the broadcast and
already things are happening fast and furious here at the MMP Coliseum, showing you
exactly what the mood has been like around here over the past couple of weeks as the
wrestlers get ready for what should be another wild summer in the MMP. While Steve
tries to get some information on Ryno's condition we'll send you back to the ring for our
next match on Saturday Night Slams.
THE CLOAKED SHROUD vs. GEORGE
ACHICA
Achica made his way down to the ring first, accompanied by Benjamin
Childs and the usual trio of Zane, Charles, and Thomas. His entrance was interrupted
about half way through as the ring suddenly began filling with smoke. When the smoke
cleared Achica's opponent, The Cloaked Shroud, was standing right in the middle of the
ring, motioning for Achica to join him. The big Samoan charged the ring and hopped up
on the apron, but his advance was stopped by a forearm to the side of the head from the
Shroud. George grabbed the top rope to maintain his balance as Shroud hooked the man
around the back of the head and suplexed him over the top and into the ring. Achica hit
hard but didn't stay down for long, quickly getting back to his feet and turning to face his
opponent once more. Shroud was ready for him, though, and before Achica could get a
shot in Shroud nailed the big man with a spinning back kick to the midsection that doubled
him over, allowing Shroud to deliver a series of elbow smashes to the back of Achica's
neck. While Achica stood gasping for air the Shroud bounced off the ropes and drove the
big man head first to the canvas with a bulldog headlock. He then delivered a double
kneedrop, driving both of his knees down into Achica's chest, leaving the big man gasping
and forcing him to roll to the outside to try and catch his breath. George paced back and
forth on the floor rethinking his gameplan before climbing back up on the apron. Shroud
approached him again but this time it was George getting the upper hand, driving his large
shoulder hard into Shroud's midesction, sending the man staggering backwards. Achica
then entered the ring and whipped Shroud into the far corner, a move which he followed
up with a big avalanche, crushing Shroud beneath his 400+ pound frame. Shroud
stumbled forward, walking right into the waiting arms of Achica, who lifted the man high
in the air in a bearhug. Achica carried Shroud out towards the middle of the ring, shaking
the man violently back and forth to cause additional pain to the ribcage. After a few
moments Shroud reached forward and grabbed George by the head and delivered a
headbutt, momentarily dazing his much larger opponent. A second headbutt finally freed
Shroud from George's grasp and the newcomer rushed Achica while he was still
staggering, but George simply lowered his shoulder and picked Shroud up before driving
him into the canvas with a Samoan drop. George then applied a Boston crab, putting all
of his weight firmly down on his opponent's back, which was still reeling from the effects
of the bearhug moments earlier. With George in control of the match, "Amazing" Andrew
Peters and Amanda came down towards the ring, ignoring Childs and the others on the
outside as they walked towards the broadcast table. Peters took a seat next to Ray
Brewer, while Amanda simply stood patiently beside her man. Back in the ring, Shroud
was finally starting to make a move towards the ropes. After a lengthy struggle he finally
reached out and grabbed the bottom strand, forcing the referee to step in and order
George to break the hold. Thinking he had won the match George quickly let go, raising
his arms in triumph. The ref quickly stepped in and pulled George's arms down, telling
him that Shroud had grabbed the ropes and that he hadn't given up. When George finally
turned to face Shroud again he was met with a flying back elbow from his recovering foe,
a move that nearly took the big man off his feet. Shroud looked to capitalize while Achica
was dazed and bounced off the ropes, this time attacking with a flying bodypress. Achica,
though, caught the man and repositioned him into another bearhug, going back to his
earlier plan of slowing Shroud down. This time George wasn't able to get a good grip on
his opponent and Shroud was able to break free much easier, clapping the big man's ears
to escape his grasp and then hooking George from behind and taking him over with a
German suplex. George's head snapped back off the canvas as Shroud got to his feet,
waiting for his adversary to do the same. When George finally rebounded he was met
with a kick to the midsection from Shroud, who then connected with the Maelstrom
modified neckbreaker!! A quick cover and a three count later and The Cloaked Shroud
was declared the winner. The celebration was short lived, though, as Andrew Peters
quickly jumped up in the ring, his midwestern championship belt in hand, and nailed
Shroud in the back of the head with it! Shroud went down hard and the champion stood
over him, yelling that he was in store for more of the same at Homicidal
Tendencies.
Wood: The Cloaked Shroud remains undefeated here in the MMP,
and it looks like his scheduled opponent for Homicidal Tendencies has taken notice.
Peters sure had some unflattering things to say about Shroud during that last match, and
judging by his attack once the contest was over it doesn't look like Peters was impressed
by this newcomer.
Brewer: Sure doesn't, Wood. I don't think Andrew Peters is impressed with anyone but
himself. And you know, sometimes that's the attitude it takes to be successful in this
business. Confidence and the mental approach to wrestling makes up a significant portion
of what is required if you hope to make it in this business, and if there's one thing Peters
has, it's confidence. He's held that midwestern title for a couple of months now, and it's
starting to go to his head. Good for him. If you're a champion, let it go to your head.
There are a lot of guys who have passed through here and never held a title, so if you can
distinguish yourself by holding a belt, it shows that you're doing something right.
As Brewer finishes his comment, the camera cuts backstage yet again.
This time it picks up the reigning MMP extreme champion, Virus Richards, walking down
the corridor towards his dressing room. He arrives at his dressing room, but suddenly
stops in his tracks. The camera moves in closer and notices what Virus sees - the words
"Fear the Wrath of the Crimson" written across the door. The champion brushes it off and
enters the room, only to find that his dressing room has been completely trashed. Furious,
Virus slams the door, and muffled screams of anger can be heard coming from
inside.
Wood: Looks like Crimson's pursuit of an MMP extreme
championship match with Virus Richards are going to continue, despite the unusual
conditions thrown down by the champion earlier in the week. According to Richards, not
only does Crimson have to beat Ryno here tonight, he has to permanently silence the
former titleholder as well. Whether those conditions will stand up when it next comes
time for Virus to defend the title remains to be seen, and when that happens I'm sure
Crimson will be there waiting to get his hands on the champion just as he did last week.
The action continues here on Saturday Night Slams with one half of the MMP tag team
champions set to do battle in singles competition. Wolverine, who along with Death
forms the top duo in the MMP today, was defeated by Hyoga back at Hardcore Saturday
Night in Edmonton last December in what many called a significant upset. Tonight
Wolverine looks to avenge that defeat as he and Hyoga meet one on one in this return
match.
WOLVERINE vs. HYOGA
Hyoga came to the ring first, and he wasn't alone. He was escorted
down by Milov Scorpio as well as two of Scorpio's bodyguards, wearing their usual suits
with the Scorpio logo on the jackets. As Hyoga stepped through the ropes Wolverine
made his way out, wearing his MMP tag team championship belt around his waist.
Despite the fact that the belt was not on the line Hyoga still made a belt gesture towards
the fans, leaving his back turned to his opponent. Wolverine saw this and quickly charged
his diverted opponent, nailing him with a forearm to the back of the head. The ref hurried
Scorpio and his men to the floor as Wolverine went to work, sending Hyoga off the ropes
and sending him over with a backdrop. Hyoga stumbled to his feet only to be met with a
running clothesline from his opponent, sending Hyoga over the top rope and all the way
down to the floor. As Hyoga was gathering himself on the floor Wolverine grabbed the
top rope for leverage and slingshot himself over the top, taking Hyoga down again with a
flying bodypress. The move sent Hyoga back into the safety rail, enabling Wolverine to
head over towards the timekeeper's table and grab the one of the equipment cables that
was bundled up behind under the desk. He brought the cable over and proceeded to wrap
it tightly around Hyoga's neck, squeezing tighter and tighter until the referee, still in the
ring, yelled down that he would disqualify Wolverine if he didn't break. Wolverine
complied and dropped the cable before rolling back into the ring where he stood waiting
on his opponent. A few moments later Hyoga followed, getting back into the ring at the
feet of his adversary. Wolverine pulled the man up, but Hyoga cut him off with a rake of
the face, sending Wolverine staggering backwards and allowing Hyoga a chance to
regroup. He moved in on Wolverine and delivered a series of chops to the chest, backing
Wolverine into the corner where Hyoga then reached up and pressed his boot across the
big man's throat in an obvious chokehold, returning the favor for what happened with the
cable on the outside. The official quickly stepped in to break the hold, backing Hyoga out
of the corner in the process. The separation allowed Wolverine to regroup and charge
Hyoga with a clothesline, but Hyoga ducked low and countered by taking Wolverine
down with a drop toehold, which he quickly rode into a modified half crab submission
hold. With his one free arm Wolverine reached out for the ropes, but they were out of
reach. A second lunge was successful and Wolverine was able to force the break, much to
Hyoga's displeasure. Hyoga released the hold and took a couple of steps back as
Wolverine, with the aid of the ropes, pulled himself to his feet. Once Wolverine was up
Hyoga charged in, but Wolverine caught him and lifted him high in the air before dropping
him throat first across the top rope. Hyoga's head snapped back and he fell hard to the
canvas, bouncing head over heels as he hit. After dropping a leg across the the back of the
head Wolverine grabbed Hyoga by the legs and pulled him towards the middle of the ring
where he locked on a Boston crab. Just as Wolverine sat down in the move Milov
Scorpio jumped up on the apron, prompting Wolverine to release the hold. He walked
right over to Scorpio and nailed the man with a right hand, sending him back down to the
floor. In the meantime Hyoga had gotten back to his feet, and he nailed Wolverine with a
knee to the back that sent the tag champ tumbling through the ropes out to the floor. The
referee got right in Hyoga's face, telling him that he wanted the match to stay inside the
ring. While the official's back was turned Scorpio, who was now back to his feet, grabbed
Wolverine from behind and whipped him into the ring post, causing Wolverine to hit head
first. He then rolled Wolverine back into the ring before the official could see what was
going on. Wolverine pulled himself to his feet holding his head in pain, only to be hit with
a devastating spear from Hyoga, who immediately went for the cover and scored the three
count. As he was being announced as the winner Hyoga jumped down from the ring and
headed right for the timekeeper's table, grabbing Wolverine's tag team championship belt
before going back to the dressing room.
Wood: You can make it 2-for-2 for Hyoga against Wolverine, as the
steadily improving man from Switzerland really seems to have Wolverine's number. What
I don't understand, though, is what Hyoga wants with Wolverine's tag team championship
belt.
Brewer: We've seen this a million times before, usually by one of those epitomes of sloth
from Philadelphia. I guess this is Hyoga's way of saying he thinks he deserves to share the
tag team championship, not Wolverine.
Wood: It would certainly seem that way. Of course, Death claims that both belts belong
to him, so I'm sure that he will have something to say about this as soon as he realizes
what has just transpired. We go now to a battle of two of the biggest men in the MMP,
two men who know each other very, very well, referring of course to Aries and Benjamin
Childs. These men have been tag team partners, and on a number of occasions they have
been opponents, with both men securing their share of victories over the other. Who will
get the upper hand tonight? Let's go to the ring to find out.
ARIES vs. BENJAMIN CHILDS
With Aries already waiting in the ring Ben Childs' music played and the
former extreme champion made his way down the aisle, accompanied by George Achica as
well as the trio of Zane, Charles, and Thomas. The four men circled the ring, making sure
that no one like Mr. Marvellous or Hades would try to come down and interfere, while
Childs pulled a table out from under the ring and set it up in front of the announcers table.
He pointed right at Ray Brewer and warned the broadcaster that he could be next before
stepping through the ropes and locking up with his longtime rival. The two men jockeyed
for position but that didn't last long, as Aries quickly broke the tie-up by driving a knee
hard into Childs' midsection. While Childs bent over and grabbed his abdomen Aries
started laying in the right hands, driving punch after punch into the side of Childs' head
until the man was backed into the turnbuckle. Once there Aries began ramming his elbow
into the same side of the face, causing Childs' head to snap back after each blow until he
had been driven down to the canvas. With Childs laying limp up against the bottom
turnbuckle Aries reached in and pressed his boot down on his opponent's throat, sucking
the wind out of Childs until the referee stepped in and forced Aries to break. An argument
soon broke out between the two men, allowing Childs the opportunity to get back to his
feet. By the time Aries turned around Childs was up, and he grabbed Aries and slammed
him hard into the buckle. Childs then returned the favor from Aries earlier in the match
and reached up with his boot, using it to choke the giant seven-footer as he stood in the
corner. The ref began his count but Childs broke well before the five count. He then
picked Aries up and dropped him throat first across the top rope, staggering Aries and
allowing Childs to deliver a superkick that sent the former world champion over the top to
the floor. Aries hit hard but Childs didn't follow immediately. Instead he waited for Aries
to get to his feet before slingshotting himself over the top rope, nailing Aries with a flying
bodypress that dropped the man to the floor once more. Childs quickly pulled himself up,
dragging Aries with him, and walked around to the other side of the ring where he had set
the table earlier in the match. He rolled Aries up on the table and, using the ring ropes to
maintain his balance, climbed up and joined him. With both men standing on the table
Childs set Aries up for a piledriver, but the "Beast from Greece" blocked the move and
countered with a back bodydrop, sending Childs overhead off the table and down to the
floor. Aries waited for Childs to get up before jumping off the table and knocking the man
back down with a clothesline. He then grabbed Childs and rolled him back into the ring,
where he nailed Childs with a devastating backbreaker. Aries focused his attack on his
adversary's back, driving repeated knees into the spine before pulling his opponent up and
whipping him off the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a sidewalk slam. After
driving Childs into the canvas Aries returned to working on the back, dropping a pair of
elbows down on the spine. With Childs in obvious pain Aries gave the sign that it was
time to finish things off. He pulled Childs up and delivered a kick to the midsection, and
then hoisted him up in the Godly Drop. Childs, though, managed to slide down the back,
landing on his feet and rushing Aries with a clothesline. Aries ducked and drove another
kick into Childs, this time hitting him in the back, and picked him up in the Godly Drop for
a second time, but again Childs managed to wrestle his way free. Before Aries could
respond Childs dropped down and delivered a chop block to the back of Aries' leg,
dropping the big man to one knee. Childs then pulled Aries up and delivered the Childs
Play, driving Aries into the canvas with a powerbomb before locking on a sharpshooter.
Aries soon tapped out, giving Childs the victory.
Wood: Another victory for Benjamin Childs here on Saturday Night
Slams. That makes two in a row for the former Dr. No Limit, and it looks like he might
be on the verge of breaking out of his most recent losing streak that has plagued him over
the past couple of months.
Brewer: Well, he's starting to put a little streak together, but what I want to talk about is
Childs' nonsense threat to me about putting me through the table. Look Childs, I'm not
the man you want to mess with. I may be long since retired, but my influence in this
company and in this business reaches farther than you can imagine. Remember Pitbull?
He didn't like what I had to say, and he found himself out of work. If you want to be next,
you just keep it up. I'll see to it that you are unemployed if you try to interfere with my
right to freedom of speech again.
Wood: Great, just what we need. Ray Brewer picking more fights with the wrestlers.
Give it up, Ray. Nobody's impressed with this little constitutional tantrum you like to
throw every few months. We've got hardcore action coming your way next, with the
winner to proclaim themselves as the unofficial number-one contender to the MMP
extreme championship. Huge bragging rights are on the line here, so, for now at least, we
send you back to the ring for Crimson and The Ryno.
Falls Count Anywhere Match
THE RYNO vs.
CRIMSON
The Ryno's new entrance music blared over the loudspeaker as the
former multiple-time champion made his way to the ring first, receiving a loud reaction
from the crowd. Before he could get very far, though, Crimson came running down from
the back and nailed Ryno in the back with a metal pipe. Ryno fell hard to the arena floor
and Crimson stood proudly over him, the determination he felt to get a shot at the extreme
championship clearly showing in his eyes. He grabbed Ryno and pulled him up, dragging
him back towards the entrance where he slammed Ryno head first into the supports of the
giant television screen, nearly bringing the huge structure tumbling to the ground. Ryno
stumbled away, and when he turned around Crimson nailed him with a spear tackle,
driving Ryno into the hard concrete floor. Crimson bent down to pick Ryno up again, but
he was abruptly cut off by a hard right hand. As Ryno got up it could be seen that he was
sporting brass knuckles...on both hands! He hit Crimson with a series of punches, backing
the man down towards the ring. Ryno rolled Crimson in under the bottom rope before
reaching under the ring and pulling out a table. He then followed Crimson into the ring
with table in tow and set the table across the top rope in the corner as Crimson slowly
stumbled up to his feet. Before Ryno could attack, though, Psychotic Sam and Havoc
came down to the ring through the crowd, with Havoc wielding a steel chair. He slid into
the ring behind Ryno and cracked the chair down on the top of Ryno's head, sending Ryno
falling face down to the canvas. Crimson glared at Havoc, who extended Crimson another
offer to join The Family before exiting the ring and heading back to the dressing room
with Sam. The interference gave Crimson the opening he needed and he pulled Ryno up
only to toss him over the top rope to the floor. Crimson followed Ryno out as he hit and
grabbed the man by the head, dragging him up the aisle towards the backstage area,
slamming him into the safety rail as they went. Once the two men passed through the
curtain Crimson whipped Ryno into the concrete arena wall, but Crimson's momentum
was abruptly cut when a dumpster came speeding down the hall and slammed into
Crimson's head. Crimson fell hard to the floor as Masochrist stepped out from behind the
dumpster, revealing himself as the man who had been pushing it. He pulled Crimson to his
feet to get another shot in, but Crimson countered with a kick to the midsection followed
by his patented double-arm DDT, driving Masochrist head first into the canvas. Despite
the fact that Crimson had taken care of Masochrist, the diversion served it's purpose.
While Crimson was getting up from the DDT Ryno grabbed him from behind and sent him
head first into the dumpster once more. He then pulled Crimson up onto a nearby medics
table and lifted him in the air for the Ryno Charge, but instead of dropping him to the floor
he dropped Crimson into the dumpster. Masochrist, who by now was getting back to his
feet, reached up, shut the lid, and put a lock on the dumpster, sealing Crimson inside. The
Congregation then wheeled the dumpster out to the parking lot, where they moved over
towards Ryno's El Camino, which was parked near the exit. With the chain hooked to the
back of the car they attached the dumpster to the vehicle, and Ryno walked over and got
in the driver's seat. He started the engine and sped away, then abruptly slamming on the
brakes after only a few seconds. The chain snapped, and the dumpster went crashing into
the side of the arena. From there Masochrist walked over and unlocked the dumpster,
pulling a limp Crimson out and lifting him up in a crucifix bomb position. Ryno climbed
out of the car and up onto the hood. Maso carried Crimson over and Ryno jumped off the
car, delivering a legdrop that brough Crimson off of Maso's back, driving him down into
the concrete, a move The Congregation calls The Crucifixion. Ryno made the cover on
the badly beaten Crimson and scored the 1...2...3 in the parking lot. The celebration,
though, was short lived. As soon as the match was over, The Bootlegger and Inferno
came out from the arena, wielding a baseball bat and a metal pipe respectively.
Bootlegger used the bat to take out Masochrist, and the two then double teamed Ryno
until Inferno scooped Ryno up on his shoulders and carried him into the arena, where they
were joined by a wiry 5'11" man wearing a red and yellow mask. Bootlegger followed
closely behind, and then ran ahead to grab the table off the turnbuckle that Ryno had set
up earlier. He set the table up on the floor, and when Inferno arrived at the ring he pulled
Ryno up and delivered the All-Nighter, sending Ryno crashing through the table to the
floor. Bootlegger then pulled a microphone out of his jacket.
BOOTLEGGER: "I said that I and my COMMITTEE are taking matters into our own
hands and I MEANT IT!!! THIS is what happens to criminals in the MMP from now on!!!
The CONGREGATION's execution here tonight is only the beginning... In the weeks to
come, there will be more, until all the wrongs have been righted, all the old scores have
been settled. Once again, for all of you who didn't hear me the first time, I RULE HERE
and if you DO NOT ABIDE BY MY RULES..."
He motioned down to the Ryno's still body with his baseball bat.
BOOTLEGGER: ".. then this is the fate that awaits you!!!"
Bootlegger then put away his microphone, and the trio walked back to the dressing
room.
Wood: What a vicious assault by The Bootlegger and Inferno!! This
is totally uncalled for! What is the meaning of...
Brewer: I'll tell you what. You hear that line about criminals, about wrongs being righted?
Well, you saw as well as I did what Ryno and Masochrist pulled on Crimson. That was
nothing more than a handicap match, Wood! Ryno is desperate to regain what he once
had, and it really showed here tonight. I think you could describe The Bootlegger's
actions as poetic justice, whether it was intended as such or not.
Wood: You know I don't necessarily condone The Congregation's actions in that match,
but that doesn't justify what The Bootlegger and Inferno did once the action was over. I'm
sure we haven't seen the last of things between The Bootlegger and The Congregation,
especially after what's gone down here this evening. The time has come for our SNS main
event. The rematch between The Cult Master and Death is next.
THE CULT MASTER vs. DEATH
Death came to the ring first, wearing his tag team championship belt
and carrying a microphone, addressing the crowd:
Death: Now, I must address the Cult Master. Cult Master, you’re up against a World
Tag Team Champion and I could understand it if you want to back out now. I mean, if it
wasn’t for me, you wouldn’t even be the Main Event. I would like to offer you a job to
become my lackey.
Death was cut off by The Cult Master's entrance music, and the long entrance procession
of the leader of The Cult. By the time Cult Master finally stepped through the ropes
Death had grown quite impatient, but he was ready to go when Cult Master removed his
robe...revealing Harbinger underneath! A look of confusion crossed Death's face as the
lights in the arena went out. When they came back up The Cult Master had arrived in the
ring behind his opponent and he nailed Death with a spear from behind. Harbinger
stepped out to the floor and Cult Master mounted his opponent, raining right hands down
on him before dragging Death over to the ropes where he choked the man along the
middle strand. The official quickly stepped in and ordered a break and Cult Master
complied, leaving Death gasping for air. Cult Master didn't let up there, and pulled Death
back around, nailing him with a series of European uppercuts that backed Death into the
corner. He then whipped Death across the ring, but the whip was reversed and it was
Death sending Cult Master hard into the far corner. Cult Master hit hard and stumbled
out, walking right into a high knee from Death. Death was getting his second wind and he
tore right into Cult Master, stomping him repeatedly in the chest before snatching the man
back to his feet and backing him into the ropes with a series of chops to the chest. He
then took the man down and draped Cult Master's throat across the middle rope and
bounced off the far ropes, jumping in the air and nailing Cult Master with a vertical splash
across the back. Cult Master fell to the canvas, but Death didn't let him stay down long.
He pulled the man back up and delivered a belly to belly suplex and locked Cult Master in
a Boston crab. The ref was down quickly to see if Cult Master wanted to give it up, but
the man vehemently refused any such idea. He slowly worked his way over to the ropes,
finally grabbing onto the bottom strand to force the break. Death released the hold and
pulled Cult Master up, delivering a headbutt, and then hooking him in a headlock. He ran
off the ropes in an attempt to bulldog Cult Master down, but Cult Master held his ground
and countered with a whip off the far ropes. As Death bounded back Cult Master caught
him with a hard kick to the gut, followed by a DDT. Cult Master then applied an Indian
Deathlock while yelling at Death about the indiscretion he exercised in leaving The Cult.
While this was going on, Wolverine started making his way towards the ring. In the
meantime Cult Master released the Deathlock and lifted Death up for an atomic drop.
Death managed to wrestle himself free, and delivered a kneelift to the back, sending Cult
Master hard into the turnbuckle. Cult Master staggered back out, and Death hooked him
for the Death Drop. Just then Death looked out to the floor and spotted his tag team
partner, who had grabbed Death's tag team championship belt and was headed back to the
dressing room with it. Death released The Cult Master and started towards Wolverine,
but before he could get to the outside of the ring The Cult Master came up from behind
and nailed Death with a clothesline in the corner, crushing Death against the buckle. He
then lifted Death up and set him on the top rope, putting him in position for the Final
Prayer. He lifted Death high in the air and then drove him head first into the canvas with
his finishing move, floating over into a cover for the 1...2...3 as the screen fades to
black.
