MMP Tag Team Championship Tournament – Round Robin Match
HASSAN ABU SAADA & HOT CRIMSON vs. INTOXICATED

With Intoxicated already in the ring, Hassan and Crimson made their way down with a group of scantily clad nurses, all of whom were paying close attention to Hassan. Hassan was coughing heavily, apparently still suffering from the effects of the cold that had been so drastically exaggerated over the past week, and thus it was Crimson that carried the match for his team. The midwestern champion slid quickly into the ring and speared Beumont to the canvas before being attacked by “Cup” Cooper. Cooper’s attack didn’t phase Crimson, who quickly kicked his former manager in the midsection and delivered a double-arm DDT for the pinfall. As the referee was making the three count, someone hopped over the safety rail in the aisle, landing immediately behind Hassan. It was The Regulator! Reg spun Hassan around and sprayed him in the face with setzler water before shattering the glass bottle over the universal champion’s head! Hassan collapsed to the floor, and Regulator unhooked the universal title belt from around Hassan’s waist. Reg took off back through the crowd before Crimson could get out of the ring.

MMP Tag Team Championship Tournament – Round Robin Match
THE DOMINION OF DOOM vs. MASKED MENACE X & WOLVERINE

Daark opened the match for The Dominion of Doom, and took the fight right to Masked Menace X, backing the former TV champ into the corner with a series of knife-edge chops. He delivered a knee to the groin before whipping MMX off the ropes and flooring him with a spinning heel kick. MMX grabbed his head and was slow trying to get to his feet, giving Daark time to tag in Death. Wolverine reached out as far as he could through the ropes to try and make a tag, but Death was able to cut MMX off before he could get to the corner. MMX tried a clothesline out of desperation, but Death ducked underneath and hooked MMX with the Death Drop! He then made a quick cover and, with Daark coming in to cut Wolverine off from breaking the pin, scored the three count.

MMP Tag Team Championship Tournament – Round Robin Match
THE BOOTLEGGER & “STUNNING” STEVE SIMON vs. HARBINGER & THE DESTROYER

Bootlegger and Simon were accompanied to the ring by The ASSociates, but the presence of the two women didn’t distract the two Cult members. Harbinger and Destroyer were quick to get things underway, attacking even before the bell. A flying forearm from Harbinger sent Steve Simon spilling out to the floor, but Bootlegger was able to get the early upper hand on Destroyer. A clothesline sent the big man rocking backwards, and a second one dropped him to the canvas. Destroyer was quick back to his feet, but was met with a quick chop to the chest, followed by another that backed Destroyer into the ropes where Bootlegger applied an abdominal stretch. The ref leaned down to see if the big man wanted to give up, but while his view was blocked Bootlegger reached out and grabbed Simon’s hand for extra added leverage. When the official saw the cheat going on he ordered that the hold be broken, and also ruled that the contact constituted a tag between Bootlegger and Simon. An argument ensued between the ref and the Cartel members but Simon eventually came in and rushed Destroyer. When he did, though, he was immediately caught by Destroyer, who lifted the much smaller man high in the air with a press slam, a slam that Destroyer turned into a powerbomb as he drove Simon into the canvas. Bootlegger pushed past the referee and attacked Destroyer again, but he was quickly intercepted by Harbinger, who took Bootlegger down with a flying bodypress. The momentum of the move sent both men under the bottom rope to the floor while, in the ring, Destroyer grabbed the winded Steve Simon and delivered an inverted chokeslam! With Bootlegger occupied on the outside, Destroyer was able to make the cover for the three count.

MMP Saturday Night Slams is on the air! More than 15, 000 fans have filled the MMP Coliseum for tonight’s huge event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.

Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Saturday Night Slams! I’m Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer at the MMP Coliseum, and we have an outstanding card lined up for you here this evening. Two championships will be decided, and we have a huge double main event on tap as well. Virus Richards, the new MMP extreme champion, goes one-on-one with The Cult Master in a non-title match, and then to cap it all off we bring out the ladder, lower a taser from the ceiling, and sit back and watch as The Bootlegger and Wolverine battle it out, the first man to climb the ladder, get the taser, and use it on his opponent will be declared the winner.

Brewer: I have to be honest with ya, Wood, I’m really looking forward to that ladder/taser match. One of the funniest things I have ever seen in the MMP was Terminator trying to attack Bootlegger and Virus before their inferno match only to find himself getting thrown into the flames by both men. We all know there isn’t exactly an over-abundance of intellect in the Stuart family, and if I know The Cartel I’m sure they have something in store for Wolverine here tonight.

Wood: Be that as it may, Wolverine does have a couple of factors playing heavily in his favor here tonight. First off, the freshness factor. The Bootlegger was involved in a tag tournament match before we went on the air, battling both Harbinger and The Destroyer. Wolverine and MMX faced The Dominion of Doom, but Wolverine never even made it into the ring as his partner was totally dominated by Daark and Death. Also consider Bootlegger’s past in these high profile ladder matches. I’m reminded of a match last summer between Bootlegger, Daark, and The Ryno. Bootlegger had defeated both men in singles competition on numerous occasions, but he couldn’t seem to adapt to the ladder match style, and it wound up costing him the universal championship. If Wolverine can take advantage of these two factors, we could see an upset in our main event tonight, and perhaps it will propel Wolverine into that world title match against Daark that he has been seeking. We kick things off tonight with a return match from a couple of weeks ago on Saturday Night Slams. The first time Tao Te Ching and Ambush met one-on-one it was Ambush pulling out the victory, but tonight the stakes have been upped just a little bit. Since his loss against Ambush Tao Te Ching has become the MMP television champion, and that title will be on the line tonight. Ambush gets his first crack at championship gold, while Tao Te Ching looks to avenge his loss from two weeks ago and hang onto the belt. Let’s go to the ring for the first time here on Saturday Night Slams!

MMP Television Championship Match
TAO TE CHING (C) vs. AMBUSH

Tao Te Ching came to the ring first accompanied by his partner in The Order, The Dragonfly. He was proudly wearing the TV title belt around his waist as he stepped through the ropes, where he stood waiting for the arrival of the challenger. He wouldn’t have to wait for long, though, because as soon as Aerosmith’s “The Movie” hit the loudspeakers Ambush came running down to ringside, slid into the ring under the bottom rope, and immediately started trading punched back and forth with the champion. The blows continued as the opening bell sounded, but Tao then gained the upper hand by driving a knee hard into Ambush's midsection. The challenger backed up a couple of steps and was doubled over in pain, allowing Tao to catch his breath from that unexpected opening flurry. When Ambush started to regain an upright position Tao stepped forward and delivered a standing sidekick to the chest that backed the challenger into the ropes. Ambush nearly fell to the outside, relying on the top strand to keep him in the ring. Tao went for a kick to the stomach that Ambush easily caught, but the challenger wasn’t able to avoid the insigury kick to the back of the head that came next. This time Ambush did fall through the ropes to the outside, leaving Tao as the only man in the ring. Tao didn’t stay there for long, though. As soon as Ambush hit the concrete Tao climbed to the top rope. Stopping for only a moment to measure his opponent Tao dove off the top with a senton splash. At the last second before contact Ambush rolled out of the way, causing Tao to land flat on his back on the cold concrete floor. This gave Ambush the opening he desperately needed, and the challenger took full advantage. He pulled Tao up off the floor and whipped him into the safety rail, and then into the steel ring steps. With Tao bent over the steps Ambush wound up and delivered two hard elbow shots to the back ribs, but he was soon distracted by the referee’s count inside the ring, which was at eight. Ambush quickly rolled back in to break the count before crawling back out to the floor where he bodyslammed Tao on the steps before dragging the champion back in. The challenger went for a cover as soon as both men were back in, but Tao kicked out at two, just barely holding onto the title. Ambush wasn’t put off, though, and kept the offense coming at a rapid pace. Dropping elbows and knees across the back softented Tao up for Ambush to pull him to the center of the ring and apply the Boston Crab. The challenger sinched the hold on tight, pulling back with the full weight of his body across Tao’s back. Tao reached out for the ropes, but they were too far out of his grasp. The Dragonfly jumped up on the ring apron and, luckily for Tao, it caused Ambush to break the hold. The two began arguing, and Ambush floored Dragonfly with a hard right hand across the jaw. While he was distracted, though, Tao had pulled himself back to his feet. He came up on Ambush from behind and delivered a big knee to the back followed by a DDT. With Ambush down Tao quickly climbed to the top rope, this time coming off with the Essential Flash. This time, Ambush didn’t get out of the way, and the move landed flush across the challenger’s sternum. Tao hooked the leg as the ref counted the 1…2…3. The ref raised Tao’s hand as the victor and presented him with the championship belt as Ambush, dejected, slowly rolled to the floor and headed back to the dressing room. A short time later, Organziation representative Jim Krieger came to the ring with a microphone in hand as a smattering of boos filled the arena. He stepped into the ring and addressed the MMP Coliseum.

Jim Krieger: Excuse me you pitiful, wasteful, gangrene-growing hoodlums of a crowd. The Organization has an announcement to make, so SHUT-UP! Now, on behalf of the Organization, I hereby declare our withdrawal from the SAC. Over extensive deliberation we find it unnecessary to combat the Cartel, when we all know for a fact they aren't WORTH our time. Therefore, we have combined our efforts to combat dire needs, instead of people who have a hard time finding a belt to call their own. I mean, who needs the SAC when we hold the titles for the Universe, the Midwest, and the Television? Who needs the SAC when the Organization is about to hold all titles of the MMP, including OWNERSHIP! That's all I have to say, when all you pudgy, smelly poindexters leave....pick up your garbage, poor Beumont has been working too hard.

The camera abruptly cut from Krieger in the ring to a shot in the backstage area. The Regulator was attacking Death, slamming the Cult member back and forth against the walls of the arena! Death started to stagger away, but Reg wasn’t done with him. The former world champ grabbed a fire extinguisher and charged at Death, delivering a version of the Loui’s Edge bulldog headlock, driving Death to the cold hard floor with the extinguisher placed right behind his head. Death rolled over and lay face down on the concrete as Regulator walked away with a satisfied look on his face.

Wood: It looks like The Regulator is making good on his word tonight. He’s been saying all week that he was gonna get Death, and by my estimation, I’d say he’s done that.

Brewer: Well, Wood, you know as well as I do that Onyx Cooper is one of the most temperamental guys that has ever passed through the MMP locker room. He wasn’t at all happy about the way his match ended up last weekend, so he’s gonna take out his frustrations on the guy that caused this whole situation.

Wood: In any event, we’ve just seen Tao Te Ching’s second consecutive successful TV title defense, this time over a very game competitor in Ambush. It almost looks like Tao’s confidence has been up since he won the belt, but at the same time I think it would be fair to say that The Organization has been more interested in making sure that Tao wins his matches now that he has the belt than they ever were before. A champion with solid backup that is willing to take one for the team can be tough to unseat. Another Organization champion is about to make his way down, this time it’ll be the reigning midwestern champion, the mysterious Hot Crimson. Crimson is set to take on Benjamin Childs, a man he has faced several times in the past, with the title on the line. Crimson, as we know, is set to defend the belt against George Achica at MMP Invasion, so if Childs wins the belt tonight we could see a meeting of tag team partners for the midwestern title when we head over to Germany for the MMP’s first-ever European PPV event. Before we get ahead of ourselves, though, we have a title match set to get underway just moments from now. Let’s go back to the ring!

MMP Midwestern Championship Match
HOT CRIMSON (C) vs. BENJAMIN CHILDS

Childs came to the ring first, accompanied by his usual entourage of George Achica, Zane, Charles, and Thomas, carrying two tables, one under each arm. When he got to the ring Childs unfolded the tables and stacked the two one on top of the other on the far side before stepping through the ropes. Hot Crimson then made his way down with The Order and Organization representative Jim Krieger. He left the midwestern belt with Krieger on the floor before entering the ring, where he was met with a flurry of right hands from a very determined Ben Childs. Childs hammered Crimson as the champ pulled himself to his feet, and then whipped him off the far ropes. Before Childs could get a shot in, though, Crimson had left his feet and nailed the challenger with a spear. The force knocked the wind out of Childs and put him flat on his back, allowing Crimson to apply a leglock to try and wear the bigger man down. Crimson didn’t keep the hold applied for long, though. As soon as Childs started motioning towards the riopes he released the hold and jumped lengthwise over Childs’ body, dropping a big elbow across the chest. He pulled Childs back to his feet and whipped him off the ropes, going for a spinning heel kick, but Childs grabbed the top rope as he was sent in, and Crimson’s kick caught nothing but air. The champion landed hard on the canvas, the back of his head snapping back against the mat. Childs took full advantage and quickly pulled Crimson up, delivering a swinging neckbreaker that kept the pressure on the head and neck of his opponent. He then dropped an elbow across Crimson’s throat before making the cover for the 1..2…Crimson got a shoulder up at the last minute, saving his title for the time being. Childs didn’t let up there, though. He pulled Crimson back to his feet and, still working on the head and neck, delivered a crushing piledriver that knocked Crimson senseless. Rather than going for a cover, though, Childs pulled Crimson over to the turnbuckle, where he tied the champion upside-down in the tree of woe! He then slid down to the floor and started pulling back on Crimson’s neck, putting even more pressure on the champion’s upper body. The Order tried to get over to pull Crimson free, but Childs had his back up cut them off. The referee’s ten count was the only thing that caused Childs to break and get back in the ring, leaving Crimson to fall limp from the turnbuckle. Childs climbed back in the ring and hoisted Crimson up, setting him on the top rope. The ref shouted at Childs to get down, but the challenger didn’t listen. He hooked Crimson in a DDT, but the champ hooked his legs under the middle rope to hold his position. Childs fell to the canvas below, but Crimson maintained his position on the top. Before Childs could get out of the way, the champion jumped down with an elbowdrop from the second rope before straddling his opponent and choking him with his bare hands. The ref started a count, but Crimson just ignored him and kept choking until the official physically intervened and pulled him off. An argument ensued, allowing Childs to crawl to the ropes and pull himself to his feet. When Crimson turned around Childs rushed him with a clothesline, but the champion ducked and was met with a boot to the midsection. Crimson then delivered the double-arm DDT. He rolled Childs over and made the cover for the three count.

Wood: Hot Crimson is still your midwestern champion, although that was another very close call for the Organization member, who has come very close to losing that belt on several occasions over the past couple of weeks.

Brewer: If you go all the way back to Daark Ages, it was Death that nearly upended Crimson for the midwestern title. Last week it was Inferno, and now tonight Ben Childs. The guys in the back are sure giving Crimson a run for his money, but he still seems to be able to find a way to pull it out in the end, and that’s what makes a true champion. It doesn’t matter how you win or lose, it only matters if you win or lose, and Crimson is winning. That’s all that’s important to him I’m sure.

Wood: I have to agree with you there, Ray. Hot Crimson has put together a rather impressive string of victories over the past few months, for the mostpart without any outside help. There’s a lot to be said for that these days. It’s now time for our double main event. Up first we’ve got The Cult and The Cartel meeting in a head-on collision as The Cult Master battles Virus Richards, the new MMP extreme champion. The title won’t be on the line, but the reputation of both factions is for sure. The action continues here on Saturday Night Slams!

VIRUS RICHARDS vs. THE CULT MASTER

The reigning extreme champion made his way to the ring first, although he didn’t make it very far. As Virus was walking down the aisle, a man cloaked in a dark hood came running out from the back and nailed Richards across the back with a wooden baseball bat. Virus went down face-first in the runway, where he lay motionless until the cloaked man picked him up, dragged him down to the ring, and tossed him in under the bottom rope. The official for the match came running down and checked to see if Virus would be able to compete as The Cult Master’s long entrance procession began. “Carmina Burana” played over the loudspeaker and Harbinger and Destroyer started slowly down the aisle, but while Richards was using the ropes to get back to his feet, The Cult Master emerged from the crowd and attacked Virus from behind! Harbinger and Destroyer came down and surrounded the ring while their leader went to work on the extreme champ. Cult Master pounded Virus with rights and lefts to the upper body complimented by kicks to the midsection, a combination that quickly had Virus reeling in the corner. A perfect vertical suplex from Cult Master sent Virus out to the center of the ring, and with Harbinger and Destroyer looking on admiringly, Cult Master was in complete control in the early going. He walked over and slowly started to pull Virus back to his feet, but before he could get another move in Virus delivered a blatant low kick right to the groin of his opponent, a blow that sent Cult Master staggering back towards the ropes. The referee quickly stepped in and warned Virus that another move like that would get him disqualified. Virus protested, pulling a folded white sheet of paper out of his boot. He told the ref that it was a doctor’s note explaining a reflex problem in his knee that was causing involuntary movement. The ref tore the note up and told Virus to get back to the match, which he did by knocking Cult Master off his feet with a clothesline. He then ran off the far side ropes and delivered a springboard elbowdrop before grabbing Cult Master’s legs and attempting to hook him in The Plauge. Cult Master, though, was able to kick out, sending Virus tumbling through the middle ropes and out to the floor. Virus looked stunned as he shot back to his feet. When he saw Cult Master following him to the outside he grabbed the steel ring steps and spun around quickly, driving them into Cult Master’s forehead and putting the leader of The Cult down once more. He then tossed Cult Master back into the ring and delivered a running legdrop across the throat before making a cover for a two count. As Virus got back to his feet he stopped to deliver a couple of quick kicks to the body of his opponent before walking over and shouting at Harbinger and Destroyer, telling them that they’d better come help Cult Master or there’d be no one to tell them their bedtime stories later tonight. Harbinger was enraged and jumped up on the apron, drawing the referee over to confront the rabid man. Virus started laughing at the gullible nature of his opponent, but when he turned around The Cult Master was back on his feet and he walked right into a Samoan drop! Cult Master started to pull Virus up when suddenly The Regulator came down to the ring, wearing a plastic elbow pad on his left arm. He kept coming down and eventually hopped up on the apron, distracting the attention of The Cult Master. In the meantime, Virus was getting himself together. He came up on Cult Master from behind and ran him towards the ropes for a small package, and when he got close enough Regulator shot out his elbow. At the last second, though, Cult Master ducked, and the elbow caught Virus square in the jaw! Regulator jumped down from the apron as Virus stumbled back, clutching his face in obvious pain. Cult Master responded quickly, kicking Virus in the midsection and delivering a brainbuster! He then made the cover and, after Destroyer pulled Harbinger down to allow the ref to turn back to the match, hooked the leg for the 1…2…3!!

Wood: The Cult Master pulls it off, but not without a little outside help from The Regulator. I don’t think Virus Richards is going to be at all pleased with this outcome. It looked like Regulator was out here to help him, but he ended up costing him the match.

Brewer: I don’t know what Onyx’s motives were out here tonight Wood. I know there has been some tension between Reg and The Cult Master of late with Reg claiming that he is the true leader of The Cult so I can’t imagine that he was out to actually assist The Cult Master, but at the same time I’m hearing rumblings that Onyx has been fishing around for a possible shot at Virus Richards’ extreme championship. Maybe this is just his way of trying to get the champion’s attention.

Wood: Either way it will go down as a victory for The Cult Master, and I wouldn’t want to be back near the Cartel dressing room right now. Well folks, as you can see there is a large metal hook lowering down from above the ring, and that means it’s time for our main event, the ladder/taser match between The Bootlegger and Wolverine. You can hear Bootlegger’s music playing in the background, so let’s get to the introductions.

Ladder/Taser Match
THE BOOTLEGGER vs. WOLVERINE

The ASSociates emerged from the dressing room area first, and then turned back and bowed towards the entrance as The Bootlegger, accompanied by Virus Richards and Inferno, stepped through the curtain. The group then made it’s way down to the ring, with Bootlegger making sure to walk under the ladder that stood in the aisle between the entrance and the squared circle. Bootlegger walked over and shook hands with Ray Brewer before getting in the ring and passing the taser to the refereee. The official strapped the weapon to the hook and signalled for it to be raised. The taser hung fifteen feet above the ring as “Welcome to the Jungle” played, introducing Bootlegger’s opponent. Wolverine had a look of determination on his face as he made his way down, but his entrance was stopped short by a cloaked man wielding a baseball bat. The bat struck Wolverine hard across the back, and the member of Menace 2 Society went down hard. This was clearly the same man that had attacked Virus Richards prior to his match against The Cult Master. After grabbing Wolverine and tossing him into the ring, the man pulled off his cloak to reveal Death as the man behind the attacks! The crowd booed loudly as two referees came out to usher Death back to the dressing room, but in the ring Bootlegger took full advantage of the outside assistance. With Wolverine already struggling Bootlegger took an unusual approach and started the match with a sleeperhold, keeping Wolverine down on the canvas and not giving him a chance to recover from the sneak attack by Death. Wolverine started to pull himself up slowly, but the look of confidence on Bootlegger’s face was unchanged. An elbow to the midsection from Wolverine caught Bootlegger by surprise, and dazed Bootlegger enough for Wolverine to rush backwards into the corner, crushing Bootlegger against the turnbuckle to break the hold. Bootlegger stood winded against the buckle where Wolverine finally got some offense going, driving a knee hard into Bootlegger’s midsection before reaching up and pressing his boot against Bootlegger’s throat in a blatant choke. The referee was powerless to do anything since this was a no disqualification match, so it wasn’t until Wolverine felt he had done enough damage that the choke was broken. Bootlegger stumbled out towards the center of the ring, but Wolverine didn’t let him get far. The Detroit native grabbed Bootlegger and attempted an inverted atomic drop, but a thumb to the eye thwarted the attempt, allowing Bootlegger to drop to the canvas. While Wolverine was blinded Bootlegger quickly caught him with a high knee to the jaw, knocking Wolverine to the canvas. He then grabbed Wolverine by the tights and dumped him to the outside, right out where Virus and Inferno were standing. While Virus and Inferno pounded on Wolverine on the outside, Bootlegger exited the ring and walked up the aisle, grabbing the ladder and bringing it back to the ring. Inferno pulled Wolverine up and sent him back into the ring, where Bootlegger was waiting with the ladder in hand. As Wolverine got back to his feet Bootlegger charged with the ladder aimed for Wolverine’s head, but Wolverine dropped down at the last minute and caught Bootlegger with a low blow. Bootlegger dropped the ladder and fell to his knees while Wolverine started up again. Wolverine grabbed the ladder and rammed it hard into Bootlegger’s midsection, then slammed it down across Bootlegger’s back to put the man to the canvas. He then carried the ladder over and set it on the canvas, opening it up and positioning Bootlegger’s ankle between the two beams. Wolverine then bounced off the ropes and went for an attack on the ankle, but Virus reached into the ring and grabbed Wolverine’s leg, causing him to fall to the canvas, hitting his forehead on the base of the ladder. Virus pulled Wolverine out to the floor and pouned him with right hands while, in the ring, Bootlegger got to his feet and set the ladder up in the middle of the ring. As he started to climb Wolverine mounted a comeback on the floor, grabbing Virus and sending him face first to the post before rolling back into the ring. Bootlegger was nearly to the top of the ladder when Wolverine grabbed onto the side and tipped the ladder over, sending Bootlegger flying off, straddling himself on the top rope. The capacity crowd let out a loud groan as the pain on Bootlegger’s face was clearly evident to all looking on. The groan turned to a look of anticipation, though, as MMP world champion Daark started making his way down to the ring, with a steel chair in hand. With Wolverine positioning the ladder in preparation for a climb, Daark slid into the ring. He didn’t get far, though, as Inferno hurried over and grabbed Daark by the ankle, pulling him out to the floor and knocking the world champ down with a hard right hand. The two men battled up the aisle all the way back to the dressing room, leaving Wolverine and Bootlegger in the ring, with Wolverine on his way towards the taser. Bootlegger slumped off the rope back into the ring, but he wasn’t able to get up in time to stop Wolverine, who reached up and snatched the taser off the hook. Wolverine hurried down the ladder, causing The ASSociates to jump up on the apron, grabbing the attention of the referee. Wolverine paused momentarily, but realizing that he had the taser in his hands, he decided to let the two women say their piece – he had Bootlegger right where he wanted him. He walked over to where Bootlegger lay, reached high in the air, and jammed the taser down into the Italian’s chest…but nothing happened. Bootlegger actually started laughing as Wolverine looked at the end of his taser, which had apparently been rendered useless by Bootlegger prior to the match. Wolverine tossed the taser away in disgust and walked over to the referee, trying to explain what had happened. Before he could get his explanation out, Virus passed a new taser into Bootlegger. While the debate ensued between Wolverine and the official, Bootlegger walked up on Wolverine from behind and jammed the new taser into his back! Wolverine’s body spasmed violently before falling limp to the canvas. The referee then called for the bell and declared Bootlegger the winner. The ASSociates hurried into the ring to congratulate their boss and Virus quickly grabbed and concealed the dud taser as the screen fades to black.
