MMP MOONLIGHT
Wednesday, October 27, 1999
MCI Center - Washington, DC
MMP Moonlight is on the air! The MCI Center in Washington, DC is
sold out for tonight's event, with nearly 20, 000 fans packing the arena from top to
bottom. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.
Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Moonlight! I'm Jerry Wood
alongside Ray Brewer for the MMP's annual October tradition, MMP Moonlight We have
six big championship matches lined up for you tonight, culminating in our main event
when Captain Patrick O'Conner, who as I understand it is far from 100% after the attack
by The Family this past weekend, puts the MMP world title on the line against the man
who won genocidal warfare back at Vindication, "Corrupt" John Korso.
Brewer: There's a long history between those two men to be sure, but let's not forget the
five other title matches we have tonight in Washington. The Destroyer, fresh off a hard
fought victory on Saturday night against Aries, puts the extreme title on the line tonight in
a construction yard match against Masked Menace X. The Upstanding Citizens defend
the tag titles against The Congregation. Daark and Steve Simon will meet for the
universal title. The list goes on and on, Wood.
Wood: You're right Ray it does, and we are going to get right into the thick of things
tonight with midwestern championship action. Some insiders say that Crimson was lucky
to escape SNS a couple of weeks ago with the title in his match with Super Cupid, so I
would have to say that the hones is really on the Cult member tonight to prove his worth
as the midwestern champion. He will face a formidable challenge, though, in "Amazing"
Andrew Peters. Peters has impressed a lot of people in his early days in the MMP. Some
feel he has what it takes to become a big time player in the very near future. Tonight he
tries to take his first steps towards stardom as he attempts to capture championship gold
for the first time. Let's send you up to the ring for MMP Moonlight!
MMP Midwestern Championship Match
HOT CRIMSON
(C) vs. "AMAZING" ANDREW PETERS
Peters was the first man introduced, coming to the ring with Amanda
as "Thunder Kiss '65" blared over the loudspeaker. His entrance was cut short, however,
as Hot Crimson quickly came charging out from the dressing room and nailed Peters with
a spear from behind. Clutching his back, Peters slowly made his way back to his feet and
started towards the ring but Crimson grabbed him from behind, slamming him face first
into the steel ring post before sending him in under the bottom rope. Crimson followed
but Peters, knowing that he needed some time, quickly rolled out the other side and stood
doubled over on the floor trying to catch his breath and rethink his gameplan. The
champion didn't want to wait, though, and climbed out to the apron. He jumped off with a
double axhandle blow, but Peters caught him in mid air and slammed him hard to the
concrete floor with a belly to belly suplex. Crimson's back slammed hard against the cold
arena floor as the referee began to administer the ten count. Not wanting to win on a
countout, Peters quickly pulled Crimson up and tossed him back into the ring. He slowly
followed his opponent back in, whipping him hard into the corner turnbuckle. Crimson hit
hard against the corner where Peters went to work, delivering a series of backhanded
chops to the chest before snapmaring Crimson out. Peters then dropped an elbow across
the sternum before applying a reverse chinlock, holding the champion down in the middle
of the ring. The challenger looked to have regained his composure after the premature
ambush by Crimson, and looked quite confident that a title win was only moments away.
Peters shouted at the ref to check on Crimson and the official complied, raising the
champion's arm. It fell once. It fell twice. On the third time Crimson stopped his arm half
way down and slowly started getting back to his feet. He wound up and delivered a series
of elbows to the midsection of his opponent, forcing Peters to loosen his grip on the hold.
Crimson was able to escape from there, backing Peters up with a series of kicks to the ribs
before jumping up on his shoulders and taking him over with a huracanrana. Peters again
tried to roll out to the floor but this time Crimson cut him off, stopping the challenger with
a boot across the throat. Using the ropes for added leverage, Crimson pressed down with
all of his weight on Peters' windpipe. The official had to intervene, prying Crimson off of
Peters and threatening to disqualify him if he tried something like that again. Almost as if
he was ignoring the referee Crimson shoved past and pulled Peters up, but before he could
get a shot in Peters hooked Crimson in an armbar and, using the ropes for a springboard,
took him down with an armbreaker. Peters capitalized quickly, driving a knee into
Crimson's injured shoulder. After stopping for a moment to gloat over his
accomplishment, much to the disgust of the sold out crowd, Peters rolled Crimson over
for the cover, but only got a two count. He argued with the referee, telling him to count
faster, before leavintg Crimson on the canvas and going over to unhook the pad on the top
turnbuckle. Peters tossed the pad into the crowd, exposing the steel buckle beneath.
Before he could turn around, however, Crimson had gotten back to his feet and ran Peters
from behind into the exposed steel. Maintaining a waistlock, Crimson nailed Peters with a
German suplex. Breathing heavily, Crimson waited for Peters to get back to his feet
before delivering a boot to the midsection and a double-arm DDT. He quickly rolled
Peters over and made the cover as the ref counted 1...2...3.
Wood: Hot Crimson is succesful in his first PPV title defense, staving
off a very tough challenge from "Amazing" Andrew Peters. He's now scheduled to go on
to Saturday Night Slams this weekend to defend the belt against a man who should be a
very big test to say the least in George Achica.
Brewer: Peters gave a good fight, a better fight than I thought he'd give when this match
was first signed. I think perhaps, though, if Andrew had remained a little more focused,
he might have been able to come away with the midwestern title here tonight. He didn't
have show the same determination that he has in his other matches in the short time that
he's been here.
The cameras pick up Masked Menace X walking backstage, presumably
just prior to his departure for the construction yard match later on tonight. He is shouting
instructions at the bum that has been with him for the past couple of weeks. The two stop
outside a dressing room and kick the door open. Inside the dressing room is Wolverine,
who jumps up and lays into MMX with a series of right hands to the head. The bum hits
Wolverine with one of his crutches, but it doesn't have much of an effect on tonight's
challenger for the TV title. Wolverine turns and lays the bum out with a forearm smash,
but in the meantime MMX has picked the crutch up off the floor. He breaks the crutch
over Wolverine's head, dropping Wolverine to the floor. Both men deliver a couple of
stomps to Wolverine's back before walking out.
Wood: Somebody get security back there! I tell ya, Masked Menace
X has been out of control over the past few weeks attacking people left and right. He's
going to be very dangerous later on tonight when he battles The Destroyer for the extreme
title. We're going to see if we can get further word on what's happening backstage, but
let's send you to the first of two videotaped matches that we have for you tonight. This
match took place earlier today in an open area in Siberia, pitting Tao Te Ching and Hyoga
outdoors in the cold in the first ever ice match. Take a look.
Ice Match
TAO TE CHING vs.
HYOGA
Hyoga was already waiting in the makeshift ring when Tao's car pulled
up. While Hyoga was honoring the agreement the two men had made and was in his
regular wrestling attire, Tao stepped out of the car in a GI parka, a mask, and a pair of
thick, insulated boots. Hyoga protested to the referee that Tao should be forced to
disrobe, but before the official could make a ruling Tao pulled a bucket of water out of the
car and dumped it over Hyoga from behind. The freezing temperatures took their effect
on Hyoga, who was now soaked from head to toe. Tao then simply walked back to his
car while Hyoga huddled in the corner, trying desperately to keep warm. After a few
moments Tao's car started and Tao came screeching towards Hyoga, slamming into him
from the side and sending Hyoga flying over top. Tao stepped out of the car and climbed
up to the roof, where he nailed the Essential Flash on Hyoga's freezing body. The referee
quickly counted the 1...2...3 and motioned for Hyoga's car to be brought forward to take
him away.
Wood: A little bit of trickery leads Tao Te Ching to a big win here at
Moonlight, disposing of Hyoga in short order in the ice match.
Brewer: Hyoga made his critical mistake right from the start when he trusted Tao to live
up to their agreement to come out in regular wrestling gear. I can't really say I feel sorry
for him, though. Anyone who takes the word of The Family at face value deserves to be
drenched in water and left out to freeze.
Wood: An underhanded victory for Tao, but a victory nonetheless as he looks to get back
to his winning ways after back to back defeats against Malice and Antimarius. Our second
title match is about ready to go. I understand that Wolverine has been attended to
backstage and he insists that he's ready for DNL here tonight, so without any further
adieu, we send you to the ring for the TV title!
MMP Television Championship Match
DR. NO LIMIT (C)
vs. WOLVERINE
The new champion made his way to the ring first, accompanied as
always by Zane and Charles. Wolverine didn't even wait for his introduction, coming
running down to ringside as DNL entered. The two men locked up right away and the bell
sounded to get the match started. Wolverine took the early advantage over DNL,
wrestling him into a front facelock and delivering a set of punishing forearm shots to the
kidneys. DNL went down to his knees as Wolverine, apparently not feeling any effect
from the earlier attack by Masked Menace X, continued to pound away. Pulling DNL
back up, Wolverine tossed him off the ropes and caught DNL on the rebound with a side
slam. It looked like another TV title change was only minutes away. Wolverine kept the
offense coming, spreading DNL's legs apart and bouncing off the ropes with a running
kneedrop. Luckily for DNL, however, he managed to get a boot up at the last minute,
catching Wolverine in the face and making his kneedrop miss the target. DNL rolled over
slowly and grabbed Wolverine, lying him face first on the canvas and driving his knee into
the challenger's kidney, returning the favor from Wolverine's opening barrage. The
champion pulled Wolverine back to his feet and whipped him hard into the turnbuckle,
following him in with a crushing avalanche. Wolverine collapsed against the force of
DNL's 340-pound frame, falling forward right into DNL's waiting arms where the TV
champ connected with a DDT. DNL made the cover and the ref counted 1...2...Wolverine
kicks out! DNL seemed angered by the speed of the referee's count, but not wanting to
end up like Andrew Peters in the opening contest, DNL stayed focused on his opponent.
He pulled Wolverine up once more and whipped him again into the corner, going for
another avalanche, but this time Wolverine moved out of the way and DNL caught
nothing but turnbuckle. Acting quickly, Wolverine stepped through the middle ropes out
to the floor. Before DNL could shake the cobwebs Wolverine reached in and grabbed
DNL by the legs, pulling him to the canvas and splitting his legs around the ringpost. He
repeatedly slammed DNL's legs against the steel before slapping on a figure four leglock
around the post. DNL screamed in pain, much to the delight of his opponent. When the
referee started his count, though, Wolverine was quick to release the hold, realizing that
he could lose his opportunity if he got disqualified. DNL slowly hobbled back to his feet
as Wolverine got back in the ring, nailing DNL with a cut block from behind. The
champion dropped to his knees again, but didn't stay down long as Wolverine picked him
up in the Michigan Death Driver! Before he could deliver the final blow, however, DNL
reached over and raked Wolverine's eyes, allowing him to escape down the back. While
Wolverine was blinded, DNL picked him up and delivered the Limit Driver! DNL quickly
made the cover, hooking the leg for the three count.
Wood: DNL retains the TV title here at Moonlight, scoring a small
measure of revenge over Wolverine for last year's match in Detroit, which Wolverine won
in front of his hometown crowd. The war between these two men is far from over,
however, as coming up this Saturday night on SNS we will see a return match between the
two for the TV belt.
Brewer: The careers of these two men have paralleled each other ever since Wolverine
and DNL entered the MMP at about the same time a year ago. DNL has taken a 3-2 lead
in their series of televised matches over that time with the win here tonight, but I know
Wolverine is going to be hot after DNL on Saturday to try and even the score and, more
importantly, capture the TV belt for the first time in his career.
Wood: We go right from one championship match to another here at Moonlight, this time
with the universal title on the line. Daark has been almost unbeatable since he took the
title from The Bootlegger back at the end of the summer, but tonight could be his toughest
test yet as champion as he puts the gold on the line against "Stunning" Steve Simon.
Simon is a former TV champ, so we know he has what it takes to win the big match.
Tonight we find out if he has what it takes to move up a few notches and grab the
universal title.
MMP Universal Championship Match
DAARK (C) vs.
"STUNNING" STEVE SIMON
Daark, flanked by the usual group of Cult minions, took the fight right
to Simon, backing the challenger into the corner and hitting him with rapid kicks and
chops to the body. He then pulled Simon out and delivered a backbreaker before sliding
to the outside and slamming Simon's legs against the ring post. With Simon hobbled
Daark pulled the man back up, sending a weak kick into Simon's midsection. Simon
caught the boot, allowing Daark to connect with an insigury kick to the back of the head.
Simon went down hard and Daark quickly capitalized, locking on the Purgatory
sharpshooter. It wasn't long before Simon tapped out, giving Daark the victory and letting
him retain the universal title.
Wood: Wow! I don't remember the last time I saw Steve Simon
manhandled in such a manner. Daark was all over Simon here tonight and has managed to
retain his universal title...in very convincing fashion. We're going to take you to the video
room once again here at Moonlight, this time to pick up a live satellite feed from Egypt
where Hassan Abu Saada and Malice are set to go at it in the first ever tomb match. It's
the wee morning hours of Thursday over in Egypt, but that's not stopping Malice and
Hassan from settling this issue between them once and for all. Let's go to
Egypt!
Tomb Match
HASSAN ABU SAADA vs.
MALICE
Hassan was waiting already inside the tomb, ready to strike as soon as
his opponent entered the area. Malice was caught immediately with a hard kick to the
midsection as he came around the corner, followed by a vicious uppercut that brought him
back to an upright position. With Malice staggered early on Hassan went for the quick
win, swinging a lit torch right at Malice's face! Luckily for Malice, he was able to duck
out of the way, the force of the swing knocking Hassan off balance. Malice quickly
rebounded, catching Hassan with a couple of right hands to the face that forced him to
drop the torch, then connecting with a clothesline that dropped Hassan to the floor for the
first time. Pulling Hassan up, Malice whipped his opponent into the wall of the tomb,
looking on with pride at his injured opponent. When Malice moved in, though, Hassan
had a surprise for him. Malice turned Hassan around, only to be caught with a shot to the
face from Hassan, who was wielding an unknown brass sculpture. Malice hit the ground
hard, but Hassan didn't want to go for the pin just yet. He dragged Malice back to his feet
and sent him face first into the wall that Hassan had hit just moments earlier before
grabbing his torch up off the ground and using it as a weapon. Although the flame had
gone out, it still served it's purpose in helping Hassan choke the wind out of his wounded
adversary. The referee tried to call Hassan off, but since he didn't have the authority to
disqualify Hassan in a match of this nature, his warnings went unheeded. Hassan
eventually broke the hold on his own accord, ordering the referee to show him the proper
respect and not interfere with his match and then lifting Malice up in a vertical suplex.
The "Egyptian Monarch" spun Malice out of the suplex into a seated powerbomb, but
somehow Malice managed to escape, landing on his feet. With the startled Hassan in a
sitting position, Malice caught him with a short dropkick to the chin that dropped the big
man flat on his back. Malice then went on the offense, but it was clear that Hassan's
attack had taken it's toll on him as he wasn't moving with quite the quickness that he
usually did. He climbed up onto a nearby casket and, as soon as Hassan got up, came off
with a flying axhandle blow. Unfortunately for Malice, he had given Hassan too much
time to recover and Hassan caught him in mid-air. Hassan then re-adjusted his grip, lifting
Malice into a gorilla press slam. Walking back towards the wall that both competitors had
already encountered during the match, Hassan slammed Malice from more than eight feet
in the air right into the wall...sending Malice through the wall as debris collapsed all
around him! Malice was down and, apparently, out. Hassan grabbed some of the pieces
of the wall and slammed them into Malice's head before mounting his opponent and
scratching hieroglyphics on his back. Hassan let out a loud cackle before pulling Malice
up to finish things off. After a boot to the midsection, Hassan grabbed Malice and
prepared to lift him in a powerbomb. Malice, however, startled Hassan by dropping to his
knees and delivering a low blow. While Hassan was staggered, Malice grabbed a nearby
vase and smashed it over Hassan's head before applying the Painful Pleasure! Malice
wrestled Hassan to the floor with the hold locked on, pressing his knee across Hassan's
throat just for good measure. With his face turning blue, Hassan had no choice but to tap
out, making Malice the winner of the first ever tomb match.
Wood: Malice pulls off what has to be considered at least a minor
upset, topping Hassan Abu Saada in the tomb match here at Moonlight.
Brewer: Well, Malice is on a roll. He beat Wolverine this past weekend to get to the
semi-finals of the Hall of Fame tournament, and now with this win over Hassan, I think it's
fair to say that Malice is on his way to big things in the MMP. He's proven what he can
do against his fellow newcomers, but before he gets to where he wants to be, he'll have to
beat some more upper level guys and try to show that his win over Wolverine wasn't by
accident.
Wood: Our next match was originally scheduled to be a tag team match with the MMP tag
team championship, currently held by the Upstanding Citizens, on the line against
members of The Congregation. Of course, after what happened this past Saturday night
with The Ryno, the future of this match is in doubt. We know that Ryno was checked into
a top-notch mental institution where he was on suicide watch over the weekend, but we
haven't heard anything that might indicate that he'll be able to appear here tonight to team
with Masochrist against Virus Richards and The Joker's Child. If that's the case,
Masochrist may just have lady luck on his side tonigth. Virus and Joker haven't been
getting along over the past few weeks, and many feel that it's only a matter of time before
this team implodes on itself. We send you back to the ring for what was supposed to be a
tag team title bout.
MMP Tag Team Championship Match
UPSTANDING
CITIZENS (C) vs. THE RYNO & MASOCHRIST
Masochrist was introduced first, but as was expected, The Ryno wasn't
with him. The crowd waited anxiously while the champions individually came down, first
Joker with Ponch and then Virus, still wearing his "F*ck the Joker's Toll" shirt and in his
wheelchair, being pushed by Michael. With three of the four combatants in the ring, the
giant video screen showed an elderly gentleman wearing a white lab coat and reading from
a clipboard.
Doctor: Ok, let's see if I can get this right. Mr. Virus Richards, Mr. Joker and Mr.
Mas...Massochrist, gee you guys have odd names. Anyways, I am very sorry to inform
you three and the fans as well that Ryno will not be capable to wrestle
tonight.
The camera goes past the doctor and looks into a slot in a metal door. Ryno is shown
strapped in a straitjacket sitting in the corner of a padded room. The camera then sets it's
view back on the doctor.
Doctor: As you can see, Ryno is incapacitated at the moment. Not only can't he
wrestle tonight but it's obvious that he won't be cleared to wrestle until he has achieved
average mental health, which could be a very long time. The process could take days,
weeks, months, even years so there is no set date that Ryno can come back to wrestle.
Mr. Maso...whatever your name is, I understand that Ryno was supposed to be your tag
team partner. I'm sorry but either you'll have to go it alone or get a replacement. On
behalf of Ryno, I apologize for this inconvenience and I'm sure Ryno feels the
same.
With that, the match was reduced to a handicap contest, but that didn't seem to matter to
either member of the champion team. Joker went right after Maso, nailing him with a
flurry of right hands before taking him to the mat with a clothesline. Joker then yelled out
to Virus on the floor, telling him to get in the ring and do something. Virus simply
smirked at him and leaned back in his chair, putting his feet up on the ring apron. His lack
of participation, however, didn't matter, as Joker was handling Masochrist. He delivered a
piledriver, and then a DDT, when out of nowhere came Virus off the top rope with a frog
splash. The champions exchanged some heated words in the ring, but Virus then stepped
aside and told Joker that Maso was all his, to go ahead and finish him off. Virus backed
away and Joker put one foot on Maso's chest, flexing for the crowd as the ref counted the
1...2...Virus nailed Joker in the back with a running kneelift. The leader of The Family
went tumbling out through the ropes as Virus then grabbed Masochrist and applied the
Plague! The official checked on Masochrist, who quickly tapped out, allowing Virus and
Joker to retain the titles.
Wood:Your winners, and still tag team champions, Virus Richards
and The Joker's Child. I think the bigger story here, though, has to be the condition of
The Ryno, who is evidently still a long way from being out of the woods.
Brewer: Ya know, I don't know what Ryno's problem is. I think he's just trying to draw
attention to himself. Maybe if he'd spent more time honing his craft and less time eating
chips and dip at home on the couch he wouldn't have hit this losing streak and he wouldn't
be in the spot he's in now. If you ask me, this is just a case of a man trying desperately to
force himself back into the spotlight that he once had...nothing more.
Wood: I don't agree with that whatsoever, and I know the fans watching at home, as well
as the ones here in Washington tonight, are keeping the well being of The Ryno in their
thoughts as he battles through this tough period in his life. One of the things that Ryno
was best known for was, of course, his affinity for hardcore wrestling. Tonight we've got
the MMP extreme championship on the line in the first ever construction yard match. The
Destroyer has been on an unparalleled winning streak as of late, knocking of Psychotic
Sam, John Korso, The Bootlegger, and Aries all within the last couple of months. Tonight
he faces another tough test when he battles Masked Menace X. This is the match that
MMX asked for. In a few moments, we'll find out just exactly what he has up his sleeve
as he looks to dethrone the big man from The Cult.
MMP Extreme Championship
Construction Yard
Match
THE DESTROYER (C) vs. MASKED MENACE X
The first shot the camera picked up at the construction yard was of
Masked Menace X arriving alone in the Menace Mobile. He parked his car and walked
into the yard, but looking around he couldn't find Destroyer. Suddenly, from out of
nowhere, a large bundle of 2x4s came crashing down from the second level of the half-
constructed house. Destroyer then walked into view, standing high above MMX as the
boards landed on the head of the challenger. The champ slowly made his way down to
ground level, pulling MMX up and ramming him hard into one of the pillars that had been
wrapped in barbed wire. MMX staggered around in circles clutching his head while
Destroyer looked on, grabbing MMX when the time was right and nailing him with a
sidewalk slam. He then left MMX, walking over to another part of the yard. When he
returned his motive was made clear - Destroyer was carrying a full-length mirror. MMX
was crawling slowly away, but that didn't stop Destroyer from stalking his challenger,
raising the mirror high above his head before slamming it...before receiving a shot to the
midsection from a shovel wielded by MMX. Destroyer dropped the mirror behind him as
MMX, using the shovel for support, pulled himself back to his feet. With the big man
doubled over MMX delivered a kneelift to his opponent's face to bring him back to an
upright position, then catching him with a shovel shot to the skull. Destroyer went down
hard, allowing MMX to head over and comandeer a bulldozer. He started driving the
vehicle towards Destroyer, with only the referee there to save Destroyer from getting run
over. Seeing the official in his path, MMX jumped down from the driver's seat and
grabbed the referee, tossing him aside before going back after Destroyer. The delay,
however, gave Destroyer a chance to shake the cobwebs. He grabbed his mirror once
again, smashing it over MMX's head and sending shards of glass all over the yard. The
tide had shifted significantly in Destroyer's favor, and he took the fight right to MMX.
Dragging MMX over to the far end of the yard, Destroyer lifted him up in the air and
nailed a powerbomb, right onto a bed of thumbtacks! The champion was still feeling the
effects of the shovel shot earlier in the match and, as a result, was slow in making the
cover. By the time he made the pin, MMX had recovered enough to be able to get a
shoulder up at the two count. Destroyer didn't stop, though, pulling MMX up and
slamming him head first into the bulldozer before slamming him down and applying the
Will Breaker! The referee got down to see if MMX wanted to give it up and it looked like
he was about to signal "yes" when from out of nowhere came The Saint and the CWO.
Approaching Destroyer from behind, Saint nailed the extreme champion over the back of
the head with a crowbar, forcing the Will Breaker to be broken. The Family ganged up on
Destroyer, but amazingly the massive Cult member managed to fight them off, flooring the
CWO members before trading blows with The Saint. A clothesline from Destroyer
knocked Saint into the bed of thumbtacks, but when Destroyer turned around he was met
with a shot to the face from Psychotic Sam and the MMP/GWF grand championship belt!
Destroyer went down hard, snapping his head back against the side of the bulldozer.
MMX, starting to come around, rolled over and covered Destroyer as the ref made the
three count. As the referee signalled MMX the winner, the new extreme champion tore
off his purple mask, revealing a new mask underneath, one that was black and green...the
colors of The Family.
Wood: Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new MMP extreme
champion, the newest member of The Family, Masked Menace X!
Brewer: I have to give credit where it's due. MMX had this planned out right from the
start, from day one when he insisted that the match take place at a neutral site so that
Destroyer's Cult allies wouldn't be able to interfere. Little did anyone suspect that MMX
might have an alterior motive for demanding such circumstances for his title
shot.
Wood: So we have seen one championship change hands here at Moonlight, but the
biggest prize is still to come. It's main event time here in Washington, DC as the reigning
MMP world champion, Captain Patrick O'Conner, puts the belt on the line against a man
who has been one of his chief rivals almost since day one, "Corrupt" John Korso. Let's go
to the ring for our feature contest.
MMP World Championship Match
CAPTAIN PATRICK
O'CONNER (C) vs. "CORRUPT" JOHN KORSO
O'Conner took the match right to Korso from the opening bell,
whipping Korso into the turnbuckle and nailing him with a big avalanche in the corner.
The challenger staggered out, only to be caught by a side legsweep. After working over
Korso's legs with a series of kneedrops to the knee, O'Conner pulled the challenger up and
nailed a shoulderbreaker. He then backed up against the ropes, waiting for Korso to get
back to his feet. When he did, O'Conner nailed Korso with a spear and applied the
Captain's Bridge. The ref asked if Korso wanted to give it up, and the challenger quickly
nodded "yes". The crowd burst into cheers. O'Conner was announced the winner as the
screen fades to black.
