University of Arkansas at Little Rock -- Little Rock, AR

MMP Hardcore Saturday Night is on the air! More than 15, 000 fans are on hand in Little Rock, Arkansas for tonight’s big event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.
Wood: Welcome, everyone, to Hardcore Saturday Night! I’m Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer here in Little Rock, Arkansas for tonight’s huge event. We are inside two weeks to Vindication, our next big PPV spectacular where The Cult Master, The Ryno, and “Amazing” Andrew Peters will do battle for the MMP world championship. Tonight all three men have big roadblocks on their respective paths to that big night in Indianapolis. The Ryno will defend the extreme championship against Kamp Kogler’s henchman The Punisher. Peters gets a shot at the universal championship as he takes on one of the hottest newcomers to enter the MMP in quite some time in Glycerine, and in our main event The Cult Master will step into Aries’ signature match, the giant rules match. An extra large cell will surround the ring with a variety of weapons hanging down from the ceiling, available to any man who can somehow manage to get their hands on them.
Brewer: When Aries made the challenge a couple of weeks ago he was asking for a shot at Cult Master’s world title. For reasons known only to The Cult Master, though, the champion declined to put the title on the line. While a lot of people might think that is a sign of cowardice, I think it might have been a smart move. The giant rules match is a match where Aries is king. If he wins tonight Aries will get a title shot, but when that does come about it will be in a standard match, which would definitely favor whoever the champion might be come Moonlight.
Wood: That is a very good point, but at the same time I can’t help but think there are a lot of guys in the dressing room who wouldn’t have thought anything of it and would have put the title on the line in the cage, whether it’s Aries’ match or not. Regardless, it should be a brutal encounter when these two men, who are no strangers to one another, get it on inside the giant cell. It’s going to be a great night here in Little Rock, and we kick it off with a matchup between two men looking to make a name for themselves here in the MMP…Matt Brutal returns to action to take on the singer from the German so-called rock group Schlecter Kase, Hans Krieg. Let’s go to the ring for our opening match.
HANS KRIEG vs. MATT BRUTAL
With Matt Brutal already waiting in the ring Hans Krieg made his way down, accompanied by his fellow Schlecter Kase members Gerrit Rindfleisch and Gunter Tod, the latter of which was carrying a synth down to ringside. Hans got in the ring and locked up with his opponent right away, but it wasn’t long before the German resorted to his underhanded tactics, reaching up and raking Brutal’s eyes to gain the early upper hand. After a kick to the midsection doubled Brutal over Hans bounced off the ropes and nailed his opponent with a running clothesline, taking him right off his feet. As Krieg gloated over his accomplishment the crowd was very vocal in letting their dislike of Schlecter Kase be known, but that didn’t slow Hans down. He grabbed Brutal by the wrist and started to pull him towards the middle of the ring, positioning him for a cross armbreaker, but luckily for Brutal he was able to pull himself free and get to the ropes before Hans could get the hold fully applied. While Brutal pulled himself together and paused momentarily to rethink his strategy, Hans reached into his tights and pulled out a roll of electrical tape. After wrapping the tape around his fist Hans moved in and spun Brutal around, nailing his opponent with a hard right hand before Brutal could respond. Hans then whipped Brutal across the ring into the far turnbuckle. Brutal hit hard and bounced out, walking right into the waiting arms of Hans Krieg, who picked Brutal up and delivered a devastating belly to belly suplex. When it appeared that Hans was in control of the match and ready to finish his opponent off he shouted something in German to Gunter, who nodded in approval and tossed his synth into the ring, leaving it over by the corner. Hans saw that it had been thrown in and pulled Brutal up, setting him in position for the Killing Fields. After getting a short run up Hans drove Brutal down with his finishing move, dropping him right down on the synth that Gunter had shoved into the ring! He covered Brutal amongst the debris and hooked the leg for the 1…2…3.
Wood: Hans Krieg picks up the victory in very impressive fashion over Matt Brutal here tonight. Looks like Brutal is still sporting a little ring rust…this is, after all, his first MMP match in several weeks.
Brewer: Hey, all I care is that Hans and the boys didn’t do their little imitation of a musical act. Fingernails on a chalkboard sound better than those four. Maybe now that Hans broke that synth we’ve heard the last of Schlecter Kase’s so-called music.
Wood: Oh, come now, Ray, do you really think working equipment makes much of a difference? I saw the look on your face the last time Schlecter Kase tried to play on an MMP broadcast…most of their equipment could have been broken then for all we could tell. But you know, this isn’t amateur hour, this is the MMP, the number one wrestling company in the world today, and we’ve got three big matches still to come featuring the three men who will be in the main event less than two weeks away at Vindication. Up first it will be The Ryno as he defends the MMP extreme title against a representative of Kamp Kogler in The Punisher.
MMP Extreme Championship Match
THE RYNO (C) vs. THE PUNISHER
The cameras cut backstage where they picked up The Ryno, extreme title belt in hand, leaving his dressing room and making his way towards the arena. Before he could get to the entrance way, though, Punisher came running around a corner and nailed Ryno with a spear, driving the champion down hard into the concrete floor. Heavenly arrived on the scene and picked up Ryno’s belt as Punisher reached into his pocket and pulled out a chain, which he wrapped tightly around his right hand. As Ryno got up to his knees Punisher wound up and slammed a hard right down into Ryno’s forehead, dropping the champion flat on his back once more and opening up a gash on his forehead. Punisher was in total control in the early going, but knowing that he had to win the match in the ring Punisher grabbed Ryno by the arm and pulled him to his feet in order to drag him down the aisle. About half way down the runway, though, Ryno started to fight back, pulling Punisher back and whipping him hard into the safety rail. Punisher, obviously startled, hit the rail hard, but more importantly for Ryno the biker released his clenched right hand and dropped his chain to the floor. The champion quickly picked it up, wrapped it around his own hand, and started hammering Punisher just as the challenger had done to him earlier on backstage, opening a wound on Punisher’s head even larger than the one Ryno was sporting. Ryno paused for a moment and raised his fist in a salute to the fans, who acknowledged him with a loud ovation as he pulled Punisher down towards the ring. As they neared ringside Ryno went to whip Punisher into the ring apron but Punisher managed to reverse it, and instead it was the extreme champ who hit back first against the side of the ring. Ryno had the wind knocked out of him and he slumped down against the ring as Punisher reached under the apron looking for weapons. Almost immediately he found what he was looking for…a trash can that was filled with a variety of weapons which he emptied out into the ring, keeping only the trash can on the outside. He raised the can high above his head and prepared to slam it down across Ryno’s skull, but Ryno shot a kick up into the midsection, causing Punisher to drop the trash can and stumble a few paces back. From there Ryno immediately picked up the trash can and nailed Punisher right in the forehead with it before rolling the challenger back into the ring. As Ryno climbed in after Punisher he looked out into the crowd and saw a startling sight…Jack Cooper, the wrestler formerly known as The Joker’s Child, and Ponch were both sitting in the front row wearing “Love Jesus” t-shirts, and both were cheering loudly for Ryno! Ryno seemed a little perplexed but quickly ignored the pair and stayed focused on his opponent. As Punisher was pulling himself up Ryno picked up a cookie sheet and nailed the challenger across the back with it, dropping Punisher right back to the canvas. Once Punisher was down Ryno took the cookie sheet up to the top rope and, positioning the weapon under his legs, jumped off with a flying legdrop. At the last moment, though, Punisher rolled out of the way, causing Ryno to catch nothing but canvas. Punisher slowly made his way to his feet and went over to where the pile of weapons lay and picked up a kendo stick. Just as Ryno was getting to his feet Punisher wound up and nailed the champion across the top of the head, dropping Ryno right back to the canvas. Punisher looked out and waved towards the dressing room, and out came his valet Heavenly, who was carrying Ryno’s extreme championship belt. She slowly climbed up the steps and entered the ring as Punisher held Ryno up, allowing Heavenly to get a running start and hit Ryno in the face with the belt! Heavenly turned around and started celebrating, but she didn’t realize that her belt-shot had no effect on Ryno. While Punisher had his guard down Ryno pulled his arms free, snatched the belt away from Heavenly, and quickly turned and nailed Punisher right in the face with the belt, knocking the challenger clear off his feet. While Punisher was down the referee ushered Heavenly out of the ring and Ryno headed over to the pile of weapons where he picked up a fire extinguisher. He waited for Punisher to get up and nailed him hard in the midsection with the metal canister, and while Punisher was doubled over he Ryno nailed him with an ax kick across the back of the head. He started to pull Punisher up again, but just as he was doing so Amarok, High Society’s hired mercenary, came running down to the ring with a steel chair in hand. When Ryno turned around to see who it was that was getting in the ring he was met with a hard chair shot to the face that knocked Ryno flat on his back. Amarok then ran back to the dressing room just as quickly as he came in, but his damage was done. Ryno was down, and Punisher was getting back to his feet. Heavenly reached under the ring and grabbed a table, which she shoved into the ring at Punisher’s feet. The challenger opened the table up and set it in the ring, while Ryno lay motionless flat on the canvas. Punisher looked down on Ryno and made a belt motion around his waist, signifying that he was about to finish off Ryno and capture the extreme title. He pulled Ryno up and set him up for the A-Bomb, but right before Punisher could slam him down Ryno rolled through and landed on his feet. Punisher was startled, and Ryno knocked the wind out of him with a hard kick to the midsection. While Punisher was doubled over Ryno set him up for the Ryno Charge, lifting him in the air and slamming him down hard through the table that Punisher had set up only moments earlier. From there Ryno made the cover and scored the 1…2…3 to retain the title.
Wood: The Ryno is still the MMP extreme champion, and will now carry that title belt proudly into Vindication as he attempts to capture the MMP world title. Punisher gave it all he had tonight and really had Ryno on the ropes on more than one occasion, but I think in the end it was Ryno’s huge experience advantage that made him too much for Punisher to handle.
Brewer: Wood, did you see what I saw during that match? Is that The Joker’s Child sitting over there with Ponch in the front row? I could have sworn we fired those two. And what’s with the clothes? I mean, I know Joker was never what you’d call a fashion plate, but he looks like he’s really let himself go. What is he doing here tonight?
Wood: Ray, I’m really not sure. Yes that is Jack Cooper, otherwise known as The Joker’s Child, in the front row, but as for what he’s doing here, I really can’t say. If I didn’t know better I would swear I heard him cheering for Ryno during our last matchup. Either way, he’s here, and as long as he doesn’t get involved in the matches there’s really nothing we can do about him. If he wants to sit there and quietly watch the matches, that’s his right, whether he’s still under contract with the MMP or not. It might be a good idea to get a security guard or two on him during this next match, though. If you recall Apocalypse last month, it was Glycerine who upset Joker to win the universal championship in Joker’s last MMP match, and it is Glycerine set to defend the universal title coming up next as he takes on the reigning midwestern champion, “Amazing” Andrew Peters.
MMP Universal Championship Match
GLYCERINE (C) vs. “AMAZING” ANDREW PETERS
Amanda disrobed the challenger, “Amazing” Andrew Peters, in the middle of the ring amidst a deafening chorus of boos as Glycerine made his way down the aisle for his first universal title defense. As the champion stepped through the ropes Amanda removed her man’s midwestern title belt, which was not on the line, and left the ring, leaving the two combatants alone on the inside with only the referee between them. Glycerine wasted little time in facing off with his opponent, shoving the ref aside and coming nose-to-nose with Peters as the opening bell sounded. He had some choice words for his opponent, and when Glycerine was done both men turned and started to walk away from one another. They both had the same thing in mind, though, and both turned back around to try and get a cheap shot in on the other. Peters swung a forearm aimed for Glycerine’s jaw, but the champion dropped down and nailed Peters with a chop block to the front of the knee. The midwestern champion went down clutching his leg in agony and Glycerine went right to work, stomping down on the injured joint before holding Peters’ leg up and dropping a big elbow down on the leg. Peters tried desperately to get out of the ring but Glycerine wouldn’t let him go, pulling Peters out towards the center of the ring and locking on a half crab submission hold. The champ shouted at Peters and demanded that he give up, but the Miami native would have none of it and continued to fight with everything he had to make it to the bottom rope. Finally he reached out and grabbed the bottom strand, forcing the referee to order Glycerine to release the hold. Heavily favoring his leg Peters used the ropes to help himself get to his feet, and it was clear that Glycerine’s attack on Peters’ leg was going to continue to effect him throughout the match. The champion moved in on his slowed adversary, but when he got within reach Peters lunged forward and caught Glycerine with a hard thumb to the eye that sent the champion staggering back. While Glycerine was dazed Peters caught him with several hard chops across the chest followed by a stiff European uppercut that sent Glycerine back into the corner. After a kick to the midsection Peters used a snapmare to take his opponent out towards the middle of the ring, where he applied a rear chinlock to wear Glycerine down while Peters himself caught his breath. Glycerine didn’t stay down long, though, as his size and strength advantage made it easy for him to fight his way up to his feet. Once up Glycerine shoved Peters towards the ropes, but Peters managed to reverse it and send Glycerine into the far side. When Glycerine bounded back he was met with a high knee to the jaw, sending the universal champion all the way through the ropes and out to the floor. Peters followed him out and immediately picked up a television cable which he used to choke Glycerine down on the floor while the referee stood in the ring, powerless to intervene. With Glycerine doubled over and gasping for air Peters pulled him over towards the ring post and, using the television cable as a restraint, tied Glycerine to the post. While this was going on Jack Cooper was on his feet in the front row again, this time cheering loudly for Peters to stick it to Glycerine because Glycerine didn’t believe in God. Peters naturally ignored Joker and walked over to get a chair from the timekeeper’s table while the referee frantically tried to untie Glycerine. When Peters moved in with the chair Glycerine was able to stop him with a kick to the midsection, causing Peters to drop the weapon to the floor. With Peters dazed Glycerine was able to reach down and untie the final piece of cable from around his waist, but while he was doubled over Peters caught his wind and picked up the chair once again. This time he managed to get a blow in, slamming the chair hard against Glycerine’s shoulder before rolling the champion back into the ring. Peters soon followed and pulled Glycerine up for a DDT, but Glycerine managed to block it, lifting Peters high in the air and tossing him across the ring. The move took a lot out of Glycerine, whose shoulder was clearly in rough shape after Peters’ attack on the floor, but he still followed up with a running kneedrop before pulling Peters up and whipping him hard into the turnbuckle. Peters stood slumped against the corner and Glycerine charged in with a spear tackle, but Peters moved out of the way at the last second and Glycerine went shoulder first into the steel ring post! As Glycerine stumbled back Peters positioned himself behind his opponent and, when the time was right, locked on the Antagonizer!! Glycerine tried to fight it off, but the pain in the shoulder was starting to kick in. The universal title looked like it was about to change hands when suddenly out from the dressing room came The Ryno, with a steel chair in hand. He slid into the ring, but Peters saw him coming and released the hold on Glycerine to intercept the man he would be facing at Vindication. Ryno took a wild swing at Peters, who ducked out of the way and responded by nailing Ryno with a low blow. Ryno collapsed to the mat and rolled out to the floor, leaving Peters alone in the ring with Glycerine. While Peters was dealing with Ryno, though, Glycerine had gotten back to his feet, and before Peters could turn around Glycerine grabbed him from behind and locked him in a chicken wing, his own version of the Antagonizer! Peters fought hard to try and reverse the hold, and just when he was about to get free he looked up and saw Ryno coming off the top rope with his steel chair! He slammed Peters across the top of the head with the chair, causing Glycerine to release the chicken wing but also knocking Peters clear out in the process. With Peters down Ryno quickly slid out of the ring, and after carefully watching Ryno leave with a look of uncertainty on his face, Glycerine grabbed Peters and locked on The Burn, his reverse figure four leglock. The referee got down to ask Peters if he wanted to give it up, and when he got no response he called for the bell. Glycerine was declared the winner, and still the universal champion. He took the belt and slowly made his way to the back, followed soon thereafter by Peters, who was being helped to the dressing room by Amanda. The camera then cut back to Wood and Brewer at ringside, but before either broadcaster could get a word in, Aries’ music started to play. The “Beast from Greece” was making his way to ringside.
Giant Rules Match
THE CULT MASTER vs. ARIES
Since Aries was already in the ring a referee came running down the aisle and asked that the giants cage be lowered around the ring. The enormous structure soon surrounded the ring, with a wide variety of weapons hanging down from the roof. Once the cage was in place The Cult Master made his way down, accompanied by The Destroyer and a pair of hooded Cult minions. Destroyer passed his master a full length mirror, the kind used in a vanity match, and the world champion stepped into the ring. As the door was being locked behind Cult Master Aries wasted little time in going after the world champion, catching him off guard with a rake of the eyes followed by a hard knee to the midsection against the turnbuckle. A double-axhandle blow across the back drove Cult Master to the canvas, where Aries went to work on him, stomping him repeatedly across the back and the back of the head. The referee pleaded with Aries to back off and let Cult Master get to his feet, and somewhat surprisingly Aries agreed and stepped away. Once Cult Master was up to one knee, though, Aries moved back in and nailed him with a roundhouse kick to the chest, knocking Cult Master flat on his back once more. Aries then pulled Cult Master to his feet, stood him against the ropes and went to whip him off the far side, but the world champion held his ground and maintained contact with Aries’ arm, taking Aries down with a modified armdrag. Cult Master’s temper started to take over and he began viciously stomping Aries across the back of the head. Once Aries was slowed Cult Master started working on his opponent’s knee, pulling Aries over towards the edge of the ring and nailing repeated kneedrops to the back of the knee. From there he draped Aries’ leg across the middle rope and delivered a jumping vertical splash across the knee. He went for a second splash, but as he jumped in the air Aries reached up with his free leg and shoved Cult Master over the top rope and into the side of the cage before dropping him unceremoniously to the floor. The world champion hit the floor hard, giving Aries a chance to gather himself in the ring before joining his adversary on the outside. Aries pulled Cult Master up and hammered him with right hands as the two stood between the ring and the wall of the cage, and when Cult Master was adequately dazed Aries started raking the world champ’s face along the chain-link fence of the huge cell, tearing open a large gash on Cult Master’s forehead. Aries then shoved his opponent back into the ring, but instead of following him right away he climbed to the top turnbuckle and reached for a weapon. Using the cage to maintain his balance Aries reached out with one final lunge and finally grabbed what he was after…a long, rusted chain. He wrapped the chain around his hand and jumped down to the canvas, where Cult Master was just now pulling himself together. When the world champ got to his feet and turned around he was knocked right back down again by a hard right, made all the more devastating by the chain that covered Aries’ fist. Once Cult Master was down again Aries got down on his knees and unraveled the chain from his hand, but he wasn’t ready to get rid of the weapon just yet. He sat Cult Master up in a sitting position and wrapped the chain around his opponent’s neck in a blatant chokehold, looking up at the referee the whole time as if relishing the fact that the official was powerless to stop him. Using the chain almost like a leash Aries pulled Cult Master to his feet and took him over with a snapmare, causing the chain to come off of Cult Master’s neck in the process. The world champ slowly started to crawl away, and after pausing for a moment to revel in the beating he had given out so far, Aries went over to the corner and climbed the turnbuckle again, reaching for another weapon. This time he grabbed a metal trash can lid, and by the time he got back down Cult Master had crawled all the way over to his corner and was half way out of the ring, appearing as though he was in retreat. Aries moved in slowly, seemingly certain that victory was only moments away. As he got to where Cult Master was, though, Aries realized that Cult Master wasn’t running away, he was running towards his equalizer. Before Aries could react Cult Master rolled over and jammed the top end of his full length mirror into Aries’ midsection, and while the big man was doubled over the world champ reached up and shattered the mirror over Aries’ head, sending shards of glass all over the ring and knocking Aries flat on his back. Even after getting in such a high impact move, however, the beating he had taken throughout the match left Cult Master in no better a state than Aries. When he finally did make it to his feet he went over to the ropes and, with the aid of the cage wall, climbed up and pulled down a steel chair from the roof. He then turned and waited for Aries, who was up to one knee, to get to his feet, and when the big man was up Cult Master leapt off the top with the chair. Aries turned and saw him at the last minute, though, and countered, getting his boot up just as Cult Master landed, slamming the chair hard into Cult Master’s face!! Both men went down as a result, and the referee started to administer his count. As the official reached four, the crowd noticed a commotion in the entrance way. Hades and Baital came running out from the dressing room with steel chairs in hand and went right for Destroyer, nailing The Cult Master’s giant follower with a double chair shot across the back and dropping him to the floor. While Hades continued to slam his chair into Destroyer’s body Baital took out a set of handcuffs, which he used to chain the big man to the wall of the cage. Inside the ring both Aries and Cult Master were starting to move, and the ref stopped his count. As the two men struggled to their feet, something else had caught the attention of the fans opposite the entrance way as Amarok was shoving his way through the people trying to get to the ring. He finally arrived at ringside, hopped over the rail, and started climbing frantically to the top of the cage. He went up at an incredible pace, and once he was at the top he started unhooking weapons from the cage, dropping them into the ring. A baseball bat fell first followed by a lead pipe, which Aries immediately picked up and carried over to where Cult Master was finally getting to his feet. He swung wildly for Cult Master’s head, but the world champ ducked out of the way and countered by grabbing Aries by the back of the head and driving him down with a bulldog headlock, right into a pile of broken glass! While Aries was picking pieces of glass out of his face Cult Master went over and picked up the baseball bat Amarok had unhooked from the roof moments earlier and started hammering Aries in the knees with it. After delivering a half dozen shots with the bat Cult Master pulled Aries over to the corner, stepped out to the floor, wrapped Aries’ legs around the ringpost, and applied a figure four leglock! Aries was screaming in pain and absolutely refused to give up, but with shards of glass obstructing his vision and his inability to reach his opponent to try and cause a break, he could only hold out for so long. Eventually the pain became too much and Aries blacked out, causing the referee to stop the match and award it to The Cult Master. Just as soon as the final bell sounded Hades cut open the lock on the cage door, allowing himself, Baital, and Amarok into the cage to assault The Cult Master. After a few moments Aries started to come around and he joined in the attack, making it a 4-on-1 with Destroyer still cuffed to the cage on the outside as the scene fades to black.
