America West Arena – Phoenix, AZ

MMP Hardcore Saturday Night is on the air! More than 20, 000 fans are jammed into the America West Arena in Phoenix, Arizona for tonight’s huge event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.

Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Hardcore Saturday Night! I’m Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer here in Phoenix at the America West Arena where tonight he have a huge lineup in store for you. Three championships will be decided right here tonight, and we will also crown the BattleGround 3 number one contenders for both the extreme and television championships in some wild free for all action. Our main event tonight, though, centers around that TV belt as The Destroyer, the longest running TV champion in MMP history, looks to put an end to the undefeated streak of Twisted Steel and, in the process, silence Steel’s manager, the controversial Adam Kogler.

Brewer: Yes, and it’s about damn time. For weeks now Twisted Steel has been carrying this little twerp on his shoulders and giving him something to run his mouth about. Well, tonight Adam Kogler’s tirade of bullshit comes to a screeching hault as his meal ticket runs head long into the concrete wall that is The Destroyer. This guy is over seven feet tall, nearly 500 pounds. The survivor’s cup winner, the man who went a perfect 8-0 at WrestleFest 2000. Kogler’s ego has his man in way over his head tonight, and hopefully once this is all over Twisted Steel will realize that his best bet is to unload this freeloader so that he can make the best of his opportunity in the MMP.

Wood: In addition to that we will see a return match between The Ryno and the reigning MMP universal champion Death. Ryno upset Death in a non-title bout several weeks ago, but tonight the championship is on the line. Can Ryno prove that his victory was no fluke and come away with the championship that he once held back in 1998, or will Death be able to retain the title and move on to the steel cage ladder match against The Joker’s Child at BattleGround 3? Benjamin Childs will defend the extreme championship inside the Hell in a Cell, which you can see hanging above the ring, against a man Childs has faced more times than he has any other competitor in the MMP, one half of the new MMP tag team champions, Aries. We kick things off tonight looking to determine the number one contender to the MMP television championship. Six men will compete in this battle royal, and whoever is left standing at the end will move on to BattleGround 3 to face whomever the champion may be by the time we make it to Philadelphia for our next pay per view event. Let’s go to the ring for the first time tonight here in Phoenix!

BATTLE ROYAL

One by one the participants made their way out to the ring. “Die Hard” Dave Williams, Harbinger, Shannon Shag-Nasty, Controversy, Death came down the aisle one by one, and once all five were in the ring The Train came sprinting down the aisle and dove into the ring under the bottom rope. The bell sounded and the match was underway. Train didn’t waste any time and went right after Die Hard, nailing Williams with a clothesline that sent the returning star over the top rope and out to the floor in the opening moments. Williams couldn’t believe had been eliminated so fast, but the officials were there on the outside to make sure he went straight back to the locker room. Before Train even had a chance to turn around Harbinger was all over him, nailing Train with a kick to the ribs from behind before raking his eyes, sending the blinded Train back into the corner as he tried to get a moment to regain his senses. In the opposite corner Death was working over Controversy, nailing the bizarre painted man with a series of chops to the chest before sending him out to the middle of the ring with a belly to belly suplex. Controversy rebounded to his feet and he hurried over to the ropes for support, but as he did Death nailed him with a running dropkick that sent Controversy over the top and out. Shannon Shag-Nasty and The Train were working over Harbinger with a double team in the corner, allowing Death to stand back in the corner and rest while watching the other three men expend their energy. After a few moments he stepped to the outside and climbed up to the top where he waited until one of the others turned around. Shannon continued to work on Harbinger and Train turned to look for another opponent, but when he turned he was caught with a missile dropkick coming off the top rope from the universal champion. Death then pulled Train up to his feet, but before he could get another move in Controversy came back to the ring, this time with The Joker’s Child by his side. The two men slid into the ring and went right for Death, pounding him into the canvas with kicks and forearms. Once Death had been beaten down Joker and Controversy pulled him back up and tossed him over the top rope, eliminating Death from the match. A group of referees came running out from the dressing room to hold Joker and Controversy back from the other three wrestlers, but it was clear that they had done what they came to do. They calmly walked back to the dressing room, leaving an enraged Death on the outside having to be restrained from getting back into the ring by the officials assigned to the match. On the inside Shag-Nasty and Train went back to their double team assault on Harbinger, overwhelming the three time tag team champion in the corner. After briefly discussing some strategy with Shannon Train walked out towards the middle of the ring, leaving Shannon to pull Harbinger back up to his feet. Once had Harbinger up he whipped the former Cult member towards Train, who nailed Harbinger with The Collision! Harbinger had the wind knocked out of him, leaving him as easy pickings for Train who pulled the man up and disposed of him over the top. The match had boiled down to the two men who had faced off against each other just one week earlier, Shannon Shag-Nasty and The Train. The two men exchanged nods and both stepped over the top rope side by side and jumped down to the floor. The ref called for the bell, yet since both men had been eliminated simultaneously there was no announcement about who had won. The officials conferred on the outside, but the back side official informed the main referee that he had seen things differently. He said he saw Train’s feet hit the floor before Shannon’s, and since the main official couldn’t dispute that, the secondary ref’s call stood. Shannon Shag-Nasty was declared the winner, and the number one contender for the TV title.

Wood: Well, amidst some controversy we have a winner and a number one contender for the television championship. Shannon Shag-Nasty, just two weeks into his MMP career, is going on to BattleGround 3 to challenge for the TV belt. What an opportunity for this newcomer to make a name for himself in a high profile championship match on an MMP pay per view event.

Brewer: Shag-Nasty is in position, now it’s just a matter of taking advantage of that opportunity. There haven’t been a lot of guys that have been able to come in and thrust themselves into the spotlight like this, and now that he’s there the pressure is gonna be on the newcomer to prove that he belongs in the upper level of competition.

Wood: Before he gets to BattleGround, though, Shannon Shag-Nasty is going to be introduced to that upper level right here tonight as he takes on the number one contender to the MMP world championship, the reigning midwestern champion “Amazing” Andrew Peters. That match is still to come here tonight but first we take you to our first of three championship matches to take place here tonight. The cell is lowering around the ring, and that can mean only one thing. The MMP extreme championship is about to be decided as Benjamin Childs defends the belt against Aries.

MMP Extreme Championship
Hell in a Cell
BENJAMIN CHILDS (C) vs. ARIES

With Childs already waiting inside the cell Aries made his way down the aisle, his tag title belt over his shoulder, staring down the extreme champ as he stepped through the door. The referee locked the door behind Aries, and the challenger went right to work on the champion, hammering him back into the corner with a series of hard right hands. Aries then whipped Childs across the ring into the far corner, causing him to hit hard against the turnbuckle. Childs stumbled out right into the waiting arms of Aries, who scooped the champion up and slammed him down. With the champion flat on his back Aries began stomping Childs in the chest, and after a few moments he pulled Childs up and tossed him over the top rope into the wall of the cell. Aries followed him out and grabbed Childs by the back of the head, dragging him over and raking his face along the steel mesh of the cage before whipping him into the post. Childs’ forehead was busted wide open. Blood poured down his face as Aries shoved him back into the ring where he picked the Cult member up again and delivered a backbreaker, holding on and lifting him up again only to slam him down with a side suplex. Aries then mounted Childs and started pounding him with right hands to the forehead, tearing Childs’ wound open even further. With the champion’s face covered in blood Aries pulled the man back to his feet again and whipped him off the ropes, catching him coming back right aorund the throat. He lifted Childs up and delivered a chokeslam, knocking the wind out of the extreme champion. From there the blood-soaked Childs was easy pickings for Aries, who pulled the man up and delivered the Godly Drop! Aries hooked the leg as he made the cover, scoring the 1…2…3 to capture the title.

Wood: Aries is the new MMP extreme champion, capturing the championship for the second time in his career. Ray Aries looked absolutely dominant tonight in taking that title, and is really rolling these past couple of weeks. First the tag titles, now the extreme title…could the Aries of old be on his way back?

Brewer: This is as good as Aries has looked in quite some time, and the “Aries of old”, as you put it, could be making a comeback. That loss to Peters at Chaos on the Coast seems to have lit a fire under him, and in two matches since that night Aries has captured two championship belts.

Wood: Now it will be Aries moving on to BattleGround 3 as the MMP extreme champion, and later on tonight we will find out exactly who his challenger will be at our annual July spectacular in Philadelphia. Coming up next Shannon Shag-Nasty will be in action once again, looking to build on the momentum he gained from winning the battle royal in our opening contest here tonight. His next challenge, though, could be an even bigger one than that battle royal was as he takes on the MMP midwestern champion, the man who is scheduled to challenge for the MMP world title coming up at BattleGround 3, “Amazing” Andrew Peters.

”AMAZING” ANDREW PETERS vs. SHANNON SHAG-NASTY

Shannon Shag-Nasty was already waiting in the ring as Peters’ music played over the loudspeaker. The midwestern champion had Amanda by his side as he came down to the ring, and he wasn’t in any hurry to get in and lock up with Shag-Nasty. Peters took his time getting into the ring, waiting as Amanda slowly disrobed him before stepping through the ropes. Once inside Peters went right after Shannon, catching him off guard with a kick to the midsection and delivering a neckbreaker before Shannon could react. With the rookie down on the canvas Peters sat him up and applied a rear chinlock, hoping to capitalize on the fact that Shannon had already wrestled a match earlier in the evening with the weardown hold. After a few moments Shannon started fighting back to his feet, but before he could mount any offense Peters released the hold and whipped the rookie off the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a high knee that dropped Shannon to the canvas. Peters pulled Shannon up and took him over with a vertical suplex before dumping the rookie out through the ropes to the floor. The referee admonished Peters and told him that, no disqualification or otherwise, he wanted the match kept in the ring. While the midwestern champion was conversing with the official Shannon reached under the ring looking for a weapon, and when Peters jumped down to the floor to meet his opponent he was met with a hard shot to the midsection with a steel pipe, swung like a baseball bat by Shag-Nasty. After running Peters into the post Shannon rolled the man back into the ring, where he challenged Peters to get back to his feet and face him man to man. Peters pulled himself to his feet and Shannon laid right into him with a series of right hands, backing Peters into the corner. One final hard right cross finished off the sequence and Peters stumbled forward where he was caught with a kick to the gut and planted into the canvas with a DDT. The crowd started rallying behind Shannon against the widely despised midwestern champion, but as Shannon pulled Peters up to his feet he was stopped in his tracks by a poke to the eyes from Peters. As Shannon was blinded Peters rallied, whipping the rookie off the ropes and catching him with a belly to belly suplex. With Peters taking over control of the match again the crowd got to it’s feet as they noticed someone coming to the ring. In fact, it was TWO people making their way down the aisle – Twisted Steel and his manager Adam Kogler. The two men stood down outside the ring as Peters began stomping Shannon about the face and chest. The midwestern champ then pulled Shannon to his feet and delivered a legsweep, and with the rookie reeling Peters locked on the Antagonizer! Shag-Nasty struggled hard to reach the ropes, and with everyone’s attention focused on the potential end of the match in the ring, Twisted Steel walked over to the timekeeper’s table and grabbed the midwestern championship belt. He hopped up on the apron and started to step into the ring, prompting Peters to release the hold and get right up in Steel’s face. Before the two men could come into contact with one another the referee stepped in and held the two back while Shannon tried to pull himself together. Without much resistance Steel agreed to get down to the floor, jumping down off the apron as Peters turned back to his opponent. Just as quickly, though, Steel slid into the ring under the bottom rope and nailed Peters in the back of the head with the midwestern title belt, sending him right into Shannon, who delivered the Shagon Tail! The crowd errupted at the sight of Peters on the receiving end of Shannon’s finisher, but before Shannon could make the cover Steel grabbed him and delivered the Living End! Steel then left the ring, and he and Kogler turned and headed back to the dressing room. Both Peters and Shag-Nasty were down on the canvas, but it was Peters who started to move first. Out of desperation he turned over and draped an arm over Shannon, and the referee got down to make the three count, giving the win to Andrew Peters.

Wood: Andrew Peters survives a scare against the rookie Shannon Shag-Nasty here tonight in Phoenix, pulling off a rather tainted victory thanks to the interference of Twisted Steel and Adam Kogler. We know Steel will be in action against both of these men at BattleGround 3, facing Peters for the midwestern title and meeting Shag-Nasty in one of the team elimination matches. I’m sure both men are a little more anxious now than they were before to get their hands on this man Twisted Steel.

Brewer: Kogler is really digging this Steel guy into a hole, isn’t he? Sooner or later all these guys being after Steel is going to catch up to these two guys, and then Steel is going to realize exactly what I’ve been saying all along…Adam Kogler is nothing more than a pain in the ass just looking for attention, regardless of the damage it does to Twisted Steel’s career.

Wood: Kogler certainly has thrust Steel into the spotlight here in their short stay so far in the MMP, but you might be right Ray, sooner or later it could very well catch up to them. When you’ve got guys like Ryno, Shannon Shag-Nasty, and now Andrew Peters gunning for you it could only be a matter of time before things become overwhelming. Steel is going to be in the ring twice tonight. As we have discussed he will be challenging for the television championship later on this evening, but up first he will be one of the four men who will vie for the number one contendership for the MMP extreme championship which, after what we saw earlier tonight, now belongs to Aries. That contract is hanging above the ring, now it’s time for someone to go and get it. Let’s go back to the ring.

DESERT STORM LADDER MATCH

The first man introduced was The Ryno, who received a loud ovation from the crowd as he came down to the ring. His introduction was cut short, though, by Adam Kogler, who came out through the curtain with a microphone in hand.

Kogler: "Hey Ryno you want me? Well here I am. You spout all this crap about meeting me in the parking lot, kicking my ass, blah blah blah. I bet all these idiots in the crowd would much rather see me dispose of you RIGHT NOW!"

Adam dropped the mic and charged right towards Ryno. He dove right at Ryno, but much to the delight of the crowd Ryno caught him in mid air with one hand. Just as Ryno prepared to deliver a knockout Twisted Steel arrived through the crowd and nailed Ryno in the back of the knee with his silver crowbar. Kogler crumbled to the floor as Steel began to hammer on Ryno, slamming the crowbar into Ryno’s upper body. Kogler, in the meantime, recovered his microphone.

Kogler: "(Catching breath) What did I tell you, you big goof? You will NEVER beat me! I will ALWAYS be two steps ahead of you. Heh - like Twisted Steel could give two craps about the Extreme Title right now all we really wanted to do here was drive home a little lesson. Oh and Ryno - Good luck in the Ladder Match! Hahaha!"

With Ryno laying in a heap in the aisle, Steel and Kogler turned and walked back to the dressing room. A few moments passed until the third participant in the match, Mr. Beumont, made his way down the aisle. Beumont was dressed as Lexus, the MMP preliminary wrestler who hadn’t seen action in several weeks. Beumont walked right over to Ryno and kicked him in the midsection while he was down, then started flexing over Ryno’s beaten body. While Beumont had his back turned, though, Ryno pulled himself to his feet and grabbed Beumont from behind. He doubled the man over and delivered the Ryno Charge right out on the concrete floor! Ryno slid into the ring as Glycerine, the final participant, came down the aisle. He charged into the ring but Ryno capitalized on Glycerine’s momentum and carried him right into the ladder, which was already standing in the center of the ring. The force tipped the ladder over and Glycerine staggered back towards Ryno, who took Glycerine down with a dropkick. He then tossed Glycerine through the ropes and out to the floor before going over and grabbing the ladder, which he set just under the bottom rope. As Glycerine pulled himself up Ryno bounced off the ropes and delivered a baseball slide dropkick, sending the ladder right into the face of his adversary. Out in the aisle Beumont still wasn’t moving, and neither Ryno nor Glycerine paid any attention to him. Ryno slid out to the floor and grabbed Glycerine, pulled him up the aisle by Beumont, and delivered a second Ryno Charge, leaving his two opponents laid out side by side. He then hurried back into the ring and set up the ladder, which he climbed slowly but surely until he grabbed the contract that was hanging above the ring to win the match. With a match at the extreme championship secured, Ryno didn’t want to wait for his shot at the universal championship. He called out Death right then and there, and the champion responded. Death’s music hit, and the universal titleholder made his way down to the ring.

MMP Universal Championship Match
DEATH (C) vs. THE RYNO

As Death started down the aisle Ryno jumped out to the floor, reached under the ring, grabbed a baseball bat, and tore up the runway to get his hands on his next opponent. He slammed the bat into Death’s midsection and then nailed the champion across the back, driving Death down to the arena floor. Ryno dragged Death down the aisle towards the ring, leaving him on the outside while he grabbed all the chairs out from under the men seated around the timekeeper’s table and tossed them into the ring. Death started to pull himself to his feet but before he could get up Ryno was back on him, delivering a Rocker Dropper that drove Death down face first into the floor. Ryno then went under the ring and started searching for more weaponry. Finally he found what he was looking for, and he tossed the elusive spool of barbed wire into the ring right amongst the chairs. In the meantime Death had pulled himself up into the ring, but the champion was in rough shape in the early going, reeling from the vicious attack by Ryno. The challenger followed Death in, but by the time Ryno was in Death had managed to pull himself up with the aid of the ropes, and he caught Ryno coming in with a kick to the midsection. Ryno was doubled over and Death caught him with a running kneelift, dropping the challenger to the mat. Ryno stumbled over to the ropes as he got back to his feet and Death, who was getting a second wind, was on him, whipping the man off the far side. He caught Ryno on the rebound with a standing dropkick, and then began to go to work on the challenger’s arm, delivering a series of kneedrops across the shoulder before dropping an elbow across the sternum. Death went for a cover but Ryno easily kicked out after only a one count, showing that the number one contender for the extreme championship still had a lot of fight in him. Undaunted, Death pulled Ryno out towards the center of the ring and applied a figure four leglock, giving himself a chance to catch a breather while wearing down Ryno. The referee got right down and asked Ryno if he wanted to give it up, but the challenger was adamant that he was going to fight through it. He slowly started working his way over towards the ropes, finally grabbing the bottom strand to force the break. Death held on for a few extra seconds before letting go of the hold, and when he did it was clear that the hold had done it’s damage. Ryno was slow pulling himself back to his feet, and when he did he was taken back down with a flying shoulder tackle from Death. Death had fully turned the momentum in the match, and was in total control of the action. With Ryno down he hopped up to the second rope and came off with a flying legdrop down across Ryno’s throat. Instead of going for another cover, though, Death dragged Death over and started choking him on the middle rope, and since this was no disqualification the referee was powerless to step in. Finally Death let go of the hold, and a mild chorus of boos met the universal champ as he headed out to the center of the ring to grab a weapon. He picked up one of the chairs that Ryno had thrown in earlier, but while Death was away Ryno did the same thing, grabbing one of the chairs that lay on the canvas nearby. Death moved in and had the chair raised high above his head, preparing to slam it down across down on his opponent, but before he could get his shot in Ryno reached up and jammed his chair into Death’s midsection. Death stumbled over to the ropes and Ryno, after using the chair as a crutch to get back to his feet, ran off the far side and caught Death with a version of a bulldog, slingshotting himself over the top and pulling Death’s neck down across the top strand. With Ryno building momentum, the fans noticed someone coming down to the ring…it was The Joker’s Child, with the universal championship belt around his waist, and Ponch. With Death down on the canvas Ryno rolled back into the ring and went straight for the barbed wire, which he started wrapping around one of the unused steel chairs. While he was wrapping the chair Ponch climbed into the ring, but as soon as Ryno saw him he was floored with a chair shot that sent him back to the outside. The distraction, however, worked to perfection. Joker slid into the ring behind Ryno, not only with the universal title belt but also with a can of spray paint. He waited for Ryno to turn and face him, and when he did Joker sprayed him right in the eyes with the paint! Joker then nailed Ryno right in the face with the championship belt, knocking him senseless. He dragged Ponch out under the bottom rope and helped him back to the dressing room as Death pulled himself up and walked back over to Ryno. He pulled the challenger up and delivered the Death Drop before making the cover for the 1…2…3.

Wood: A wild ending to a wild matchup here for the universal championship sees Death retain the belt, with more than a little help from The Joker’s Child and Ponch. It looks like Joker isn’t about to risk losing his title shot at BattleGround 3, and with his interference here tonight he has ensured, at least for the time being, that he will have a chance to legitimize his claim to the universal title come the pay per view. All is not lost for The Ryno, though, as he will also be going to BattleGround 3, as the number one contender to Aries’ extreme championship. This has been a very eventful night so far. Shannon Shag-Nasty and The Ryno have secured PPV title shots, Aries has captured the extreme title, Death has survived by the skin of his teeth and retained the universal title, and now we have come to our main event. The MMP television championship is at stake as Twisted Steel puts his undefeated record on the line against the biggest man in the MMP, The Destroyer. Phoenix, Arizona is ready for our featured bout, so let’s go back to the ring.

MMP Television Championship Match
THE DESTROYER (C) vs. TWISTED STEEL

”Fucking Hostile” blared over the loudspeaker as Steel came down the aisle, led by his manager Adam Kogler, who again had a microphone:

Kogler: "The time has come, the time has come! MMP, get ready for a Champion you can be proud of! Steel has never lost a match and he's not gonna start tonight. Once he wrests that belt from the waist of that oversized lummox Destroyer, you MMP fans will be the luckiest fans in the World. That TV Title means that not only will Steel wrestle every…

Before Kogler could finish The Destroyer’s music cut him off and the gigantic TV champion made his way to the ring, flanked by two Cult minions who were pushing a dumpster. The two minions stood in the corner by the dumpster as Destroyer climbed into the ring, where Steel was waiting for him. Steel walked right over and engaged Destroyer, but the champion shoved him off with ease, sending Steel reeling back into the corner, much to the delight of the sold out crowd. This was a rare occasion where The Destroyer was actually a fan favorite, based mostly on the fans’ dislike of Kogler. The diminutive reporter climbed up on the ring apron and offered his charge some advice. Steel nodded in agreement and moved back towards the big man as Kogler jumped down to the floor. Once Kogler hit the ground, though, he was immediately surrounded by the two Cult minions who warned him not to attempt to get involved in the match again. On the inside Steel charged after Destroyer with a clothesline but the champion wasn’t phased. Steel ran in a second time but this time was caught with a big boot to the face, dropping Steel to the canvas. The champion began viciously stomping Steel in the middle of the ring, and after a few moments he grabbed Steel and tossed him through the ropes to the outside near his dumpster. Destroyer stepped over the top rope and followed the man out, reaching into the dumpster and grabbing a trash can. He jumped off the apron and slammed the trash can down across Steel’s head before shoving him into the ring post and rolling him back into the ring. Kogler started shouting at Destroyer trying to divert the champion’s attention, and in spite of the minions trying to hold him back he managed to distract Destroyer momentarily before the big man got back into the ring himself. The diversion gave Steel the time he needed to regroup, and as Destroyer was stepping over the top rope he was met with a series of chops across the chest. Steel then whipped Destroyer off the ropes and caught him in a sleeperhold, a desperation move trying to wear the big man down while giving Steel a breather he desperately needed. Destroyer collapsed to one knee, and it looked like he was going out. At that point Steel released the hold and hooked Destroyer in a full nelson, setting him up for the Living End. He tried to lift the big man but couldn’t get him off the canvas. Instead Destroyer simply reached back behind him and lifted the man up only to drive him down with a Samoan Drop. Steel had the wind knocked out of him, and Destroyer took over once again. He walked back over to his dumpster for another weapon, this time pulling out a cheese grater. He brought the grater over and rolled Steel onto his stomach before scraping the grater across the challenger’s back. The grater shredded the back of Steel’s t-shirt and even tore at the flesh on his back, opening several small wounds in the process. Destroyer tossed Steel to the outside once again. Again the big man went back to the dumpster and this time he came out with a baseball bat…a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. He waited for Steel to stumble to his feet before slamming the bat into the challenger’s midsection, sending him back down to the floor. A shot across the back caused Steel to roll over in pain and Destroyer, sensing that the end for Steel was at hand, rolled his opponent back into the ring. Once on the inside Destroyer picked Steel up for a powerbomb, but at the last minute the challenger countered, hooking Destroyer’s head and driving him down with a DDT. Both men were down on the canvas, and the official started to administer his ten count. Surprisingly it was Steel getting to his feet first, and as Destroyer started to get up himself Steel picked up the cheese grater and slammed the blunt end right into the big man’s forehead, putting him back to the canvas. Steel then headed to the corner and climbed to the top rope where he nailed an impressive moonsault, knocking the wind out of the massive champion. He pulled Destroyer to his feet and whipped him to the far turnbuckle. The big man hit hard, but as Steel came in with the Crazy Train dropkick Destroyer moved out of the way and Steel caught nothing but turnbuckle, causing him to land awkwardly on the back of his head and neck. Destroyer capitalized quickly, pulling his opponent out towards the middle of the ring where he nailed a belly to belly suplex before applying the Will Breaker!! Kogler tried desperately to get into the ring to help Steel, but with one minion holding onto each leg he wasn’t going anywhere. Steel struggled to make it to the ropes, but with the force of Destroyer’s near 500-pound frame pressing down on him he wasn’t going anywhere. Suddenly, out from the dressing room came Shannon Shag-Nasty, who was carrying a steel chair. He sprinted down the aisle and slid into the ring where he blasted Destroyer square in the face with the chair, forcing the big man to break the hold. A second shot to the face knocked Destroyer flat on his back and gave Steel a chance to recover, and when the challenger got up he pulled Destroyer to his feet and sent him to the corner for another attempt at the Crazy Train. This time Steel connected, rocking the barely-conscious champion’s head violently back, nearly striking the ring post. The big man was dazed as Steel stepped through the ropes and climbed to the top, where he hooked Destroyer in a full nelson. Then, with all the strength he could muster and using his leverage to his advantage, Steel delivered a version of the Living End from the top rope!! The back of Destroyer’s head struck the canvas, and Kogler was ecstatic on the outside. Steel then repositioned himself and came off the top rope, driving a big elbow down into Destroyer’s chest. From there he made a cover and scored the 1…2…3, bringing Destroyer’s near five month title reign to an abrupt halt. Adam Kogler grabbed the belt from the timekeeper and ran around the ring celebrating as if he had just won the lottery. He then tossed the belt in to Steel, who wearily climbed to the second turnbuckle, exhausted, and held the belt high for all to see as the scene fades to black.
