Nassau Coliseum -- Long Island, NY

Parking Lot Match
GURU vs. BAITAL

The two men circled one another in the ring of cars outside the Nassau Coliseum, and it was Guru that got the early upper hand, jabbing this thumb right into Baital's eye. While the man was blinded Guru reached over the hood of one of the cars and grabbed a trash can that stood on the outside and smashed the can right over Baital's head. An uppercut from Guru then sent Baital hard back into the passenger side door of one of the vehicles. Baital, dazed, stumbled forward into Guru, who scooped the man up and slammed him down before dropping a leg across Baital's throat. As Baital struggled to his feet Guru jumped up onto the hood of one of the cars, and once Baital was up he jumped off and drove the man down with the Bow Down! Guru then made the cover and scored the 1...2...3 to earn his first MMP win.

MMP Hardcore Saturday Night is on the air! More than 20, 000 fans are jammed into the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, NY for tonight's big event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.

Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Hardcore Saturday Night! I'm Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer on Long Island, New York where we will set the stage to crown a new MMP extreme champion coming up at WrestleFest 2000. Tonight our main event will be an anything-goes four way elimination match to determine the order of competition in the extreme championship series at the end of the month. The current though soon-to-be former champion Virus Richards will be the referee as the four competitors in the series, The Ryno, Masked Man X, Crimson, and Benjamin Childs, do battle with the winner getting a bye through the first two days of competition at WrestleFest and a chance at the easiest path to capturing the gold.

Brewer: Richards will also be in action tonight in a triple threat match, doing battle with his former, albeit briefly, tag team partner "Amazing" Andrew Peters, as well as a man he could very well face on May 31 in the world championship series, Psychotic Sam. There is a lot of bad blood between these men. The socio-economic differences between Sam and the other competitors have been the source of a lot of heated words of late, and of course it was Virus who ended Psychotic Sam's most recent extreme championship run back in January. Factor in the hatred that has grown over the past couple of weeks between Richards and Peters and we should have one brutal matchup later on tonight.

Wood: The MMP television title will be on the line later tonight in the first ever pool hall match as The Destroyer, one of the longest running TV champions in MMP history, defends the title against The Cloaked Shroud. Death and Wolverine will do battle in a steel cage lackey match, and we have a battle of two of the rising stars of the MMP between Controversy and "Atomic Thunder" Wade Grayson. We kick things off tonight with a match to determine the May 30 challengers for the MMP tag team championship as the two newest teams to enter the company meet head on. The Soldiers of Misfortune face The Raggedy Annes, with the winners going to WrestleFest 2000!

THE SOLDIERS OF MISFORTUNE vs. THE RAGGEDY ANNES

The Raggedy Annes were already waiting in the ring when The Soldiers of Misfortune came riding down to the ring on brand new Harley Davidson motorcylces. Soul Crusher locked up with Annie Christian as the opening bell sounded, and the former TV and midwestern champion went right to work on the member of The Beautiful Ones, kicking him hard in the knee before driving a pair of elbows into the spine. Once Christian was dazed Crusher tossed the man to the outside and said something to his partner Teufel, who got in the ring and ran across to the far corner where he caught Annie Christ with a surprise forearm to the side of the head. Annie Christ climbed into the ring and began trading blows with Teufel, while on the outside Soul Crusher ran Annie Christian into the ring post. Crusher then reached into his pants and pulled out a pair of handcuffs, which he used to shackle Christian to the safety rail. With one man restrained, Crusher slid back into the ring and attacked Annie Christ, double teaming him with Teufel. After hammering Annie Christ for a few moments with his brass knuckles, Soul Crusher whipped the man over to Teufel, who delivered the Tornado of Souls. Teufel made the cover and, with Soul Crusher standing guard, hooked the leg to score the three count.

Wood: The Soldiers of Misfortune are going to WrestleFest, as they will face Harbinger and The Destroyer on May 30 for the MMP tag team championship. This is a big opportunity for the German duo. Despite the singles success that Soul Crusher has had over his various stints in the MMP over the past couple of years, his partner Teufel has wrestled only one match to date. He could very well walk out of his second fight with the tag team championship coming up at the PPV. Last week it was Wade Grayson earning that big opportunity, and this week it's Teufel. The new guys are making an impact in the MMP, and WrestleFest will be their opportunity to really make it big.

Brewer: An interesting story developing backstage here tonight. As I was walking around a couple of hours before the show took the air, I ran into Adam Kogler, one of the most controversial wrestling columnists in the business today. Many people may be familiar with Kogler, who not long ago was fired from another wrestling federation for his controversial style. I know Kogler is a Long Island resident, so he may just be in the building to check out the action, or could there be more to this story than simply a fan taking in a live event?

Wood: I haven't heard of any negotiations between Kogler and the MMP, so I can only assume he's here as an observer. I wasn't aware that Kogler has ever covered the MMP in his work. Perhaps he's here to get a look at things before WrestleFest, which has had the entire wrestling world buzzing for weeks now. Up next it's going to be Jo Roberts taking on Mr. Beumont in singles competition. Roberts will be looking to rebound from his defeat last week against Wade Grayson, and with Beumont serving as the opposition, I would imagine Roberts will be able to get back on the winning track.

MR. BEUMONT vs. JO ROBERTS

Mr. Beumont and Bad Odour Bodeur came to the ring first, with Beumont dressed in his usual Regulator attire of one of Onyx Cooper's battle masks and was carrying Loui Slugger. Bodeur was dressed in an old Izz Amazing outfit, an obvious mockery of Jo Roberts' former persona. Once in the ring Beumont shoved Bodeur to the canvas, covered him, and counted 1...2...3 himself, and declared himself the winner of the match. As the charade was going on, though, Roberts had made his way out and stood waiting behind Beumont as the hobo celebrated his so-called victory. When Beumont turned around Roberts nailed him with a knee to the midsection followed immediately by a powerslam. He hooked Beumont's leg as the ref counted three to give Roberts the win. His celebration was short lived, though, as before he could leave the ring his former bodyguard Chedda Cheese slid through the ropes. Chedda spun Roberts around and knocked him out with brass knuckles, making it the second week in a row he had left Roberts laying in the ring.

Wood: So, as predicted, Jo Roberts picks up the victory here over Mr. Beumont, but I can't help but wonder what's going on with Chedda Cheese. The relationship between these two didn't last very long before deteriorating. I'm sure we'll see more of that new rivalry in the weeks to come. The man who defeated Roberts last week to earn a shot at the TV title, Wade Grayson, will be in the ring next, taking on a man who will do battle for the midwestern championship on May 30, the highly unpredictable painted man known as Controversy.

CONTROVERSY vs. "ATOMIC THUNDER" WADE GRAYSON

Controversy came to the ring first, but he didn't get very far before Grayson came running out from the back with a steel chair in hand. "Atomic Thunder" nailed Controversy hard across the back with the chair, knocking the painted man face first to the concrete floor. He then grabbed Controversy and dragged him down to the ring, where he delivered a big headbutt and executed a jumping armbreaker. Grayson applied an armbar, but Controversy was quick to make it to the ropes, forcing the man to release the hold. As Controversy pulled himself up, though, Grayson charged in with a clothesline, sending Controversy up and over the top rope, all the way down to the floor. Controversy slowly rolled himself back into the ring, landing right at the feet of his opponent who pulled the man up and carried him over to the corner where he set him on the top turnbuckle. Grayson followed Controversy up and delivered a powerbomb off the top rope, and that was all it took. He made the cover for the 1...2...3.

Wood: Wade Grayson moves to 2-0 in his MMP career, knocking off a man who was once highly touted as a top wrestling prospect in Controversy. Controversy seems to be having some difficulty in getting his career off the ground, but things are certainly going Grayson's way in his early days with the company.

Brewer: The early days mean a lot to a man in the MMP. Grayson was able to pull out a win last week against Jo Roberts, and seemed to have caught Controversy on an off night here on Long Island. Things are looking up for "Atomic Thunder", while Controversy hasn't been able to fully rebound from his first match in the MMP, when he was greatly outmatched by The Bootlegger.

Wood: The MMP television championship is on the line next, and for this contest we send you to a small tavern just down the road from the MMP Coliseum, where The Destroyer puts the belt on the line against The Cloaked Shroud in the first ever pool hall match. The winner will go into WrestleFest as champion to face challenges from Wade Grayson, Harbinger, and Masochrist. Let's go to the hall!

MMP Television Championship
Pool Hall Match
THE DESTROYER (C) vs. THE CLOAKED SHROUD

As the scene shifted to the nearby pub, The Front Line of Masked Man X and The Cloaked Shroud was shown standing in amongst several billiards tables. The tavern was empty save for the two men, with no one to be found shooting pool, drinking at the bar, or eating in the lounge. After a few moments Harbinger and The Destroyer appeared behind the two men, with Destroyer coughing loudly to alert The Front Line to their arrival. As soon as Shroud and MMX turned around the tag team champions were on them with the two men in the match - Destroyer and Shroud - pairing off while their respective cornermen battled towards the other side of the room. Destroyer took advantage of the surprise factor, pounding Shroud with repeated right hands and backing him up against one of the pool tables where he tried to cram a 7-ball down the challenger's throat. Shroud got his hands up to block the ball but Destroyer got in an elbowsmash to the midsection, causing the challenger to drop his hands and allowing Destroyer to hit the man square in the forehead with the ball. On the other side of the room MMX and Harbinger continued to fight, with Harbinger swinging his tag team championship belt at MMX, aiming for the man's forehead. MMX ducked and countered with a right hand, causing Harbinger to drop the belt. As the two men traded blows Shroud reached behind him and grabbed a cube of blue chalk, which he crumbled in his hand as Destroyer pulled him off the table. Once Destroyer had Shroud at a vertical base once again the challenger whipped the dusty crumbled chalk right into Destroyer's eyes, blinding the big man and allowing Shroud to break a pool cue over his back. Destroyer fell to his knees and Shroud grabbed a triangle off a nearby table, which he used to choke the big man and force him to the ground. He went for a cover, but Destroyer was able to kick out after only a two count. From there Shroud started to pull Destroyer up but he didn't let him get far, stopping and driving the man down quickly with a DDT on the cold hard floor. Shroud then climbed up on one of the tables and jumped off with a flying elbow, driving the point of his elbow hard into the big man's chest. Destroyer was slow to get up, allowing Shroud to reach into the corner pocket of the nearest pool table and pull out two balls, one solid and one striped. As Destroyer climbed back up to his knees Shroud came up on him from behind and boxed the man's ears with one ball in each hand, dropping Destroyer to the floor once more. The big man was having trouble getting any momentum on his side and Shroud capitalized by keeping the pace quick, much to his advantage against a much larger opponent. He backed up to the far side wall and waited for Destroyer to get to his feet, and when the champion finally did get up he ran in, going for an inverted bulldog, much like Onyx Cooper's old Edge finisher. Destroyer, though, was playing possum. He saw Shroud coming in at the last minute, though, and grabbed a cue off the table, swinging it and breaking it across Shroud's ribcage as he came in. Shroud collapsed to the floor and Destroyer, moving slowly and breathing heavily, headed over towards the bar. He reached over behind the bar and grabbed a large bottle of whiskey. Instead of heading for Shroud, though, he headed right for MMX, who was still battling Harbinger on the other side of the hall. Before Destroyer could reach the masked hero, though, Mighty Midget, dressed as Lord Daark, jumped out from behind the bar and landed on Destroyer's back, trying to hook the big man with a sleeperhold. The midget had little effect on Destroyer other than to serve as a distraction, as the TV champ easily flipped MMX's sidekick over, slamming him down on a snooker table. When MMX saw Destroyer's slam of his little buddy he raked Harbinger's face and headed over towards Destroyer, but he was cut of by the interfering Lord Daark himself! Daark burst through the front door of the pool hall and nailed MMX over the head with a cue bridge, knocking the masked man to the floor. By this point Shroud was getting back to his feet, but once he was up he was floored by a big clothesline from Destroyer, who then called his tag team partner over to help him tip over one of the pool tables. Once Harbinger and Destroyer had the table over the TV champ grabbed Shroud and pulled him up on the table where he delivered a piledriver, cracking the wood on the underside! Destroyer rolled the man over and covered him on the splintering wood for the three count to hang onto the belt.

Wood: The Destroyer is still the MMP television champion, and he seems to be building momentum as we head towards WrestleFest. It's starting to look like Destroyer could hold onto this championship for a very long time. I wouldn't want to be any of Wade Grayson, Masochrist, or even Harbinger having to face this man at the very event he dominated just about a year ago.

Brewer: Many fans say it was WrestleFest where Destroyer really established himself as a top flight superstar in the MMP last year. He captured the tag titles with Harbinger on the first day of the event, and made it through the final two days with those belts. He defended the extreme title successfully against Antimarius and The Regulator before falling to Psychotic Sam on the last day. He even won one of the Survivor's Cup rumbles and nearly won that entire competition. Can he pull a repeat performance? Only time will tell.

Wood: Our next match is a very personal affair with a very interesting stipulation. It is being labelled a "Steel Cage Lackey Match" between Death and Wolverine, two men who know each other very, very well and two men who even enjoyed a brief run as MMP tag team champions just a couple of months ago. The universal title will not be at stake here, but I think it's fair to say that the dignity of these two individuals is very much on the line. The cage is lowering, so we send you back to the ring.

Steel Cage Lackey Match
DEATH vs. WOLVERINE

Wolverine was introduced first, but before he could even make it to the ring Death came running out from the back and attacked his former tag team partner from behind, running Wolverine face first into the steel cage. He then grabbed the open door, put Wolverine's head against the door frame, and slammed the door shut before sending Wolverine into the ring where he viciously stomped his former partner. After a few moments it seemed as though Wolverine wasn't even putting up a fight. Death realized this and looked at his opponent with an inquisitive expression on his face, but finally just pulled Wolverine up, delivered the Death Drop, and pinned him for the three count. With the win in his back pocket Death started giving Wolverine orders, but was interrupted when an MMP executive came down to the ring with a copy of the match contract in his hand. He got inside the cage and pointed something out to Death, showing him a copy of the exact statement he made in issuing the challenge. The camera closed in on the paper and showed the part that read "Lackey for a week match in a steel cage. Whoever wins become a lackey for the other person for a whole week. You bragged about me being your slave all the time, now let's see who's gonna be the slave for a week. Steel cage, punk."

By the wording of the challenge Death, the winner, was forced to become a lackey for Wolverine, the loser, for a week. The universal champion was livid, causing the executive to hurry out of the ring to avoid being assaulted. He hurried back to the dressing room before Death could give pursuit.

Wood: Death is your winner in the steel cage match, but it looks like a technicality in the contract has resulted in him being forced to serve as a lackey for Wolverine for the next seven days! This can not sit well with Death, who clearly intended for something different when he issued the challenge.

Brewer: I have to admit that was a clever strategy on the part of Wolverine. He obviously caught the wording of that challenge, or had someone a little brighter point it out to him, and he took advantage of Death's screw up. Now let's see what he can make this goof do over the next week. It should be good for a laugh.

Wood: It's going to be interesting to see what Wolverine does with this. When John Korso took custody of Perry Sanders' son a little over a year ago he nearly ruined that boy's life. When Mack lost a match like this to The Joker's Child last year, his reputation was utterly destroyed as a result and his career never rebounded. Will the same happen to Death? Only time will tell. The triple threat match is up next with Virus Richards, Psychotic Sam, and "Amazing" Andrew Peters set to do battle. Let's go back to the ring.

Triple Threat Match
VIRUS RICHARDS vs. PSYCHOTIC SAM vs. "AMAZING" ANDREW PETERS

Peters came to the ring first, accompanied by Amanda as always and proudly wearing the MMP midwestern championship belt around his waist. His music was abruptly cut off by Primus' "Space Farm" as Psychotic Sam, accompanied by Havoc, Mr. Beumont, and Mike the Giant Retard, made his way out. Sam ran down the aisle and slid into the ring behind Peters, who was being disrobed by Amanda. Amanda ran out of the ring as Sam jumped on Peters' back, biting the back of the man's neck. Peters desperately reached back and finally grabbed hold of Sam and flipped him over onto the canvas before delivering a running forearm that sent Sam through the ropes out to the floor. Peters followed the man out, grabbed the timekeeper's bell, and stalked Sam while, behind his back, Virus Richards came running down the aisle. He motioned over to Havoc, who grabbed a steel chair and held it up behind Peters' head. Virus shouted at Peters, causing the man to turn around, and when he turned Virus delivered a superkick that slammed the chair hard against Peters' face. The midwestern champion went down hard, and within seconds Virus and Havoc were stomping violently on the downed man. Sam soon joined in, and it was a 3-on-1 attack. They eventually pulled Peters back to his feet and Sam whipped Peters into the steel ring post before sending him into the ring, where Virus was waiting with the steel chair. Virus then went to work on Peters, jamming the chair down into the elbow and shoulder of Peters, who tried to fight back but was unable to do so against the onslaught of two world title contenders. Richards finally backed off and allowed Peters to get to his feet, only to have Sam pick up the bell and nail Peters square in the forehead with it. Sam then delivered the Psychotic Smash as Virus went to the top rope to deliver his frog splash, after which he made the cover to score the 1...2...3. After the match was over, Virus demanded the mic:

Virus: Well, well, well, look who couldn't get up from a simple DDT. Poor, poor Peters. You sure seemed to think it was funny leaving me to go one against two a few weeks ago, so I just couldn't help myself...I had to see the humor in a situation like that for myself. I have to admit, you were right. I think it's great looking at a piece of prissy, south Florida scum like you lying here in the middle of the ring like the bitch that you are. Let this be a lesson to you Mr. Amanda, I'm not a man you want to mess with. You saw what happened to Joker and you saw what happened to Barlotta when they dared cross mme, and now you know first hand that I ALWAYS laugh last and I ALWAYS laugh best. Now then, I'm sure everyone is wondering exactly why Sammie here is working with a man he might have to face on May 31. The question you should be asking is who exactly it was that got Sammie his title shot. That's right, it was me. You see, I have always said that I have a problem with dirty people, and while Sammie may not be the king of personal hygiene, he's no Barlotta. It took me a week to get the stench of bloated Italian ooze off me the last time, and I'm not going through that again. Sammie will take care of Barlotta at the PPV, and then whatever happens happens. Oh, and one more thing. Mike, get that skank out of my sight, will you?

As Virus tossed the mic down, Mike the Giant Retard and Havoc closed in on Amanda from either side. She tried to swat them away, but Mike picked her up over his shoulder and carried her away while Virus and Sam stayed in the ring stomping Peters to prevent him from chasing his woman. The camera followed Mike, Havoc, and Beumont out to the parking lot where they stuffed Amanda into the trunk of a broken down old Pinto and drove away. Back in the arena Virus tossed Peters over the top rope and had Sam drag him away as he called for the participants in the four way elimination match main event.

Four Way Elimination Match
BENJAMIN CHILDS vs. MASKED MAN X vs. CRIMSON vs. THE RYNO

Special Guest Referee
VIRUS RICHARDS

Childs was the first man to come down, and he was pushing a dumpster full of weapons down the aisle as he did so. The next participant was Ryno, who was not only pushing a dumpster but also had his entire body wrapped in barbed wire! "My Hero" then played over the loudspeaker as Masked Man X and Mighty Midget were introduced, although their entrance was cut before they could even come through the curtain by Crimson, who nailed MMX from behind with a baseball bat across the back! MMX went down hard and Crimson pulled the man up, tossing him into a pile of crates before dragging him through the entrance way down towards the ring. Virus called for the bell to start the match, but just as Childs and Ryno were about to lock up he stepped in between the two men, ordering Ryno to take off the barbed wire. Ryno refused, but when Virus told him that he would be thrown out of the match if he didn't comply he slowly walked over to his dumpster and took the barbed wire off. As Virus turned to gloat to the crowd about his assertion of his authority Ryno reached into his dumpster and pulled out a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. He slowly walked up on the referee from behind and when Virus turned around he swung and nailed the official square in the midsection, dropping the man to the canvas. The crowd burst into cheers as Virus went down, but the distraction gave Childs the chance to get the early upper hand on Ryno, and the big man took full advantage by nailing Ryno over the back of the head with a steel chair. With MMX and Crimson still engaged out on the floor Childs took over the action in the ring, whipping Ryno to the far turnbuckle and crushing his former Untouchables ally against the buckle with a big avalanche. With Crimson still in control of MMX out on the floor The Cloaked Shroud made an appearance, coming down to provide back up for his partner in The Front Line. When Crimson saw Shroud's arrival he dragged MMX down to the ring and rolled him in under the bottom rope before going over to Childs and nailing the former universal champion with a low blow. Crimson then took Childs to the mat with a legsweep but his offense was cut short by Ryno, who pulled a 2x4 out of his dumpster and cracked it over the top of Crimson's head! The Cult member went down hard, but before Ryno could follow up he was taken down with a hard chop block from MMX, who was starting to get his second wind. With Ryno, Childs, and Virus all down on the canvas MMX pulled Crimson up and delivered a swinging neckbreaker. He then made a cover and Virus made a very fast count, slapping the canvas three times in less than a second to eliminate Crimson. Crimson kicked out almost immediately after the third count, but it was too late. MMX then went after Childs, trading right hands back and forth with the big man from New Orleans. By this point Ryno was getting back to his feet, favoring his left leg after the shot to the knee from MMX, but with everyone else in the ring preoccupied he took the opening to set up a table in the far corner of the ring. A clothesline from Childs put MMX down to the canvas and with Ryno busy setting up his table, Childs took the opportunity to go over and pull something out of his dumpster. This time, it was a bag full of thumbtacks!! He walked over and hit Ryno across the back of the head with the bag before spreading the tacks out in the middle of the ring, but before he could put the tacks to use MMX delivered a running dropkick that sent Childs over the top rope and out to the floor. MMX then grabbed Ryno and delivered a DDT. He made the cover, but Virus could only count two before Ryno kicked out. MMX started to pull Ryno up again, but by that point Childs was back in the ring. He nailed MMX with a forearm shot to the back of the head and whipped him across the ring into the far corner, following up with another avalanche against the buckle. This time he slammed his opponent to the canvas and tied him upside down in the tree of woe. Childs then backed up to the opposite buckle - the one where Ryno had set up the table - and prepared to charge MMX, but before he could Ryno came charging in and delivered a spear, sending Childs crashing through the table! Ryno then pulled Childs out and delivered the Ryno Charge, followed quickly by a cover and a three count that sent Childs back to the dressing room. The match was down to MMX and Ryno, and MMX was still tied upside down in the corner. Ryno moved in and started kicking MMX in the head before unhooking the man and pulling him to his feet out towards the middle of the ring. Once MMX was upright, though, he reached up with a tiny pepper spray, labeled "Anti- Criminal Spray", and squirted Ryno right in the eyes. While the man was blinded MMX delivered a hard kick to the midsection before hooking the man in the X-Plex...right on top of Childs' thumbtacks!! Virus got down and counted the 1...2...3, giving MMX the win and the right to fight for the MMP extreme championship on June 1. The Front Line celebrated in the ring as the screen fades to black.
