Pinfalls Only
Steel Cage Match
HASSAN ABU SAADA vs. PERRY SANDERS

With Perry already in the ring, Hassan made his way down accompanied by his usual compliment of slaves, who tonight were carrying baseball bats. Hassan slowly entered the ring but quickly went after Sanders, delivering a solid kick to the midsection before smashing Perry across the back with his gold scepter. Sanders went down hard, and Hassan had things in control in the early going. Pulling his opponent up, Hassan raked Sanders’ face across the steel of the cage before hoisting him up in a powerbomb. Before Hassan could deliver the final blow, however, Perry jabbed a thumb into his adversary’s eye, allowing him to break free and deliver a dropkick to the knee. Sanders then delivered a series of kneedrops to his bigger opponent’s knee, trying to take the vertical base away from the large Egyptian. After bringing his opponent to the mat, Perry took to the air. He climbed to the top rope, but upon seeing that Hassan was motionless, Perry upped the stakes and continued climbing, all the way to the top of the cage. With the Orlando crowd on it’s feet cheering Perry lept off the top of the cage with a flying elbow, but Hassan was playing possum. He rolled out of the way just as Perry struck the canvas with full force. Hassan then pulled Sanders up for another powerbomb, but this time Sanders wasn’t able to escape from his enemy’s grasp. Hassan nailed a powerbomb that sent Sanders crashing against the side of the cage and made the cover for the three count.

Buried Alive Match
”STUNNING” STEVE SIMON vs. “THE CANADIAN PIMP” OUIJA LULLABYE

Simon took the early advantage as the two men battled on a makeshift gravesite in the Orlando Arena, taking Lullabye over with an armdrag. When Lullabye charged back after Simon, the “Stunning One” caught his opponent coming in and scooped him up, delivering a punishing shoulderbreaker before going over to one of the two piles of tools. Lullabye staggered to his feet, but when he turned around he was met with a shot to the forehead from the blade of Simon’s shovel! Simon then tossed the shovel into the grave and pulled Lullabye over to the ledge where he delivered a version of the Hollywood Crunch into the grave and onto the shovel!! From there, all Simon had to do was climb out of the grave and grab Lullabye’s shovel, which he used to heap the dirt on top of his opponent to win the match.

MMP Hardcore Saturday Night is on the air! The Orlando Arena is packed to capacity for tonight’s event with approximately 20, 000 fans on hand for tonight’s huge event. Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.

Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Hardcore Saturday Night! I’m Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer broadcasting live for the first time ever from the Orlando Arena down in Orlando, Florida where tonight we have three championship matches on schedule, not the least of which will be an inferno match in our main event when The Destroyer puts the extreme championship on the line against one of the most accomplished MMP superstars of all time, The Bootlegger.

Brewer: Destroyer has been on an incredible role as of late, earning wins over Psychotic Sam, The Ryno, and John Korso all in the past thirty days. Tonight, however, he has what could be the toughest test of his very successful MMP career when he meets the villainous Bootlegger, a man who does hold a win over the current extreme champion.

Wood: You have to give Destroyer credit, though. He hasn’t ducked anyone and has to be considered one of the favorites in the Hall of Fame Tournament that is ongoing, where the winner will receive a shot at the world championship at the Season’s Slayings PPV event this December up in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Tonight we will see three more men qualify for that prestigious tournament, and we get things underway right from the start tonight with our first qualifying match. Last week these two men were part of a four way elimination match that saw Hot Crimson capture the midwestern championship, but tonight they are battling for a chance to earn a shot at the MMP world title. Dr. No Limit and Hyoga kick things off for us here tonight here in Orlando!

Hall of Fame Tournament Qualifying Match
DR. NO LIMIT vs. HYOGA

DNL made his way to the ring first with Zane and Charles, still obviously angry after losing the midwestern title the week before. Before he could even make it to the ring, however, DNL was the victim of an attack from the crowd by a man in a heavy wooden mask. Whipping the mask off, the man was revealed to be Hyoga! Realizing that this could be his biggest opportunity to date in the MMP, Hyoga quickly grabbed DNL and headed towards the ring, bulldogging DNL on the steel ring steps before tossing him into the ring. As the match proceeded into the squared circle for the first time, The Regulator suddenly appeared in the runway, standing idly in the entrance way and watching the action. In the ring DNL was getting to his feet, but Hyoga stayed on him, taking DNL down with a big running clothesline and applying a rear chinlock to try and wear the former midwestern champ down. After Hyoga had held the move in place for about a minute, DNL started fighting back to his feet. After regaining his vertical base, DNL then caught Hyoga with a series of stiff elbows to the midsection to break the hold. Then, with Hyoga stunned, DNL hooked his opponent’s head and leg and rocked him back with a Russian legsweep. Hyoga struck the back of his head on the canvas, and the tide was turning quickly in DNL’s favor. DNL dropped two big elbows across Hyoga’s sternum before going into his tights, pulling out a pair of brass knuckles which he placed on his right hand. Pulling Hyoga up, DNL delivered a snap suplex followed by a fistdrop off the ropes, driving the knucks directly into Hyoga’s forehead, busting the Swiss star wide open. He then pulled the bloodied Hyoga up off the canvas, whipping him hard into the far turnbuckle and catching him with a big avalanche in the corner. Hyoga slumped face first to the canvas and DNL, seeing that he had things well in control, shouted out some instructions to his men on the outside. Zane and Charles jumped into action as if this was part of their gameplan and pulled a full-length mirror out from under the ring. Remembering when a similar mirror had been used in the wild vanity matches, the crowd burst into cheers for the first time that night. Following DNL’s instructions, Zane and Charles set the mirror up in the corner, but while DNL was directing traffic with his associates, Hyoga had gotten back to his feet. Spinning DNL around, Hyoga delivered a series of chops to the chest and a big headbutt before Irish-whipping him into face first into the giant mirror! The mirror shattered, sending shards of glass all over the ring and floor on the outside. DNL went down hard and Hyoga slid out to the floor, grabbing a steel chair away from the timekeeper. When he slid back in DNL was just starting to stir, and was slowly getting back to his feet. Hyoga showed remarkable patience, waiting for exactly the right moment before delivering a deflating blow with the chair to the midsection of his opponent and then delivering a pedigree right onto the remnants of the mirror. Rolling DNL over, Hyoga hooked the leg and scored the three count, securing his spot in the tournament.

Wood: We open up Hardcore Saturday Night with what has to be considered something of an upset as Hyoga has knocked off Dr. No Limit to earn a spot in the Hall of Fame Tournament and a chance to become the number-one contender to the MMP world title.

Brewer: Before the celebration gets going in full swing though, let’s see if we can’t send someone backstage with a printout of the tournament bracket for Hyoga to see. Have you seen the schedule? Hyoga gets to go from DNL to meeting The Bootlegger in the second round of the tournament! Now I guess we’ll see what Hyoga is really made of.

Wood: That will certainly prove to be a huge test for Hyoga, although I think he’s proven tonight that he has some potential by knocking off DNL, a former midwestern and extreme champion. Another former midwestern champion is now about to try and earn his way into the tournament, and I’m sure that Super Cupid hopes his fortunes will be better than were those of the man who defeated him for the midwestern belt back in February in New Orleans. Super Cupid faces a bit of an unknown tonight when he takes on the strange newcomer known as Malice.

Hall of Fame Tournament Qualifying Match
SUPER CUPID vs. MALICE

Malice made his way out first for what was without a doubt the biggest match to date in his MMP career. He was introduced to his customary entrance music as well as a bizarre strobe light leading his way down the aisle. When Cupid’s music hit, however, things were not looking good for tonight’s match, as Pablo pushed Cupid down the aisle in a wheelchair. As had happened during the previous tournament match, The Regulator appeared to watch this match, this time arriving through the crowd and standing at ringside to observe the proceedings. Pablo went over to the ring announcer and demanded a mic, which he passed to Cupid:

Cupid: "Unfortunately when I was coming to the arena I was attacked by fifteen men armed with tire irons. I beat off most of them, but there was too many of them. Malice, I’m sorry to say this, but you are about to get punked out, Congregation style."

As Cupid tossed the mic aside, Scooter came through the crowd and went right for the ring, but he was cut off by Regulator. Cupid looked on in shock, but was quickly nailed with a big running clothesline from Malice, knocking him head over heels out of his chair. Tossing Cupid off the ropes, Malice nailed a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker before whipping Cupid into the turnbuckle. Following his opponent in, Malice delivered two big elbow smashes to the face before grabbing Cupid by the hair and tossing him over the top to the floor. Malice never let up, stepping out to the apron and, as Cupid got back to his feet, delivering a double axhandle blow to put Cupid right back down. He then rolled Cupid back into the ring, grabbing a steel chair before following his opponent and heading to the top rope. With Cupid wounded on the canvas, Malice came flying off the top rope, holding the chair against his chest as he connected with a big splash. The splash, however, was a little off in hitting the mark, and much of the force of the chair caught Cupid in the jaw, causing a concussion-like effect that left Cupid light headed. Without allowing Cupid a chance to recover, Malice slapped on the Painful Pleasure. The referee checked on Cupid, but he was barely conscious. The official then intervened and stopped the match, giving the win to Malice before calling an EMT out from the back to check on Cupid’s potential head injury.

Wood: It’s a night of upsets so far here in Orlando as both of the favorites in our first two matches have gone down in defeat. This has to be considered a significant surprise as Malice, still a relative newcomer to the MMP, defeats Super Cupid, a former tag team and midwestern champion, to earn a slot in the Hall of Fame Tournament. He’ll now move on to face the winner of the Wolverine/Joker’s Child match that is set to take place next week. Speaking of Wolverine, I understand out cameras have caught up with him backstage.

The shot shifts to the dressing room area in the Orlando Arena, but loud noises are heard coming from the parking lot. The camera man quickly hurries out the back door to the lot where he hears Wolverine screaming loudly. As Wolverine comes into view, the camera sees the reason for the noise – Wolverine is destroying MMX’s “Menace Mobile” with a baseball bat! He shatters the windows, scratches the doors, and dents the hood before pushing past the camera man and heading back into the arena.

Wood: I guess we know now exactly how Wolverine feels about being cost his chance at the TV title last week. I imagine MMX is going to be just a little on the furious side when he finds out what has happened, possibly even providing him with a little added motivation going into the match here tonight. But before we get to that much anticipated match, we send you to the first of three title matches that we have scheduled for you here tonight. After barely escaping last week’s encounter with Wolverine with his championship intact, Soul Crusher is thrown right back into the fire again this week. Tonight, he puts the belt on the line against a man who has been around wrestling titles through his past associations with Patrick O’Conner and The Syndicate but who has never held one of his own, George Achica.

MMP Television Championship
Falls Count Anywhere Match
SOUL CRUSHER (C) vs. GEORGE ACHICA

The challenger was introduced first, accompanied to the ring by his “boss”, “Corrupt” John Korso. “Symphony of Destruction” then played over the loudspeaker, but Soul Crusher was nowhere to be found. After a few moments of confusion, the TV champion appeared on the giant video screen. He was standing outside the arena, in the parking lot. Reminding George that this was a falls count anywhere match, Crusher challenged his opponent to meet him outside. George appeared uncertain, but after the champ hurled some derogatory barbs his way, the big Samoan stepped through the ropes and took off towards the exit. He burst through the arena doors, but Soul Crusher wasn’t around. Suddenly, out from behind one of the bushes came the champion, wielding a crowbar. He wound up and swung, nailing George in the same knee that he had attacked twice over the past few weeks, but much to Crusher’s surprise, George was ready for such an attack. Knowing that Crusher would likely go for his leg, George was wearing special reinforced braces on both knees, rendering the crowbar shot ineffective. All it did was tip off George to where Crusher was. The Samoan challenger quickly turned around and delivered a series of open-handed slaps to the chest before applying an armbar and wrestling the crowbar out of Crusher’s hands. The steel made a loud “clang” as it hit the pavement and George kicked it into the bushes, keeping it out of Crusher’s reach. He then used a big lariat to take Crusher off his feet, dropping the champion to the concrete. George slowed up a bit but Korso, who had since joined the two combatants on the outside, shouted at George to stay on his opponent, which he did by dropping several huge elbows across Crusher’s chest. George then went for a cover, but Crusher still had some fight in him and kicked out after only two. Looking to deliver more punishment George pulled Crusher up, but the champion caught him with a stiff kick to the midsection to slow George down before slamming him face first into the pavement. George groggily grabbed his forehead as Crusher was getting his second wind. Crusher dragged George over to a row of parked cars where he grabbed George by the hair and slammed the big man face first through the driver’s side window of a Buick! The referee admonished Crusher for his actions, but since this was a no DQ match, the official was powerless to stop him. Crusher then reached into the vandalized car and grabbed the seatbelt, which he used to choke George while pressing the back of his neck against the window frame. While this was going on, The Joker’s Child and the CWO made their way out to the parking lot, all wearing cheap suits, carrying baseball bats, and wearing masks in the style of Jason from the Friday the 13th movies. The group quickly made their presence known, hurling insults and George and slowly advancing on him with their bats. Seeing that his associate could be in trouble Korso hurried after the group and grabbed Joker, nailing him in the midsection with a solid kick before trading blows with the tag champ, keeping him away from George. The CWO continued on their way, but this almost seemed to motivate George to continue on. George nailed Crusher with a solid elbow to the gut to break the choke hold and then, after taking a couple seconds to catch his breath, hoisted Crusher up in the air and delivered a gorilla press slam. The CWO attacked but George fought them all of, sending furious punches left and right until all of his attackers were subdued. Behind his back, however, Soul Crusher was standing on the roof of the damaged car waiting on him. When George turned around, Crusher came off the roof and nailed George square in the face with his TV title belt! Crusher quickly made the cover and the ref was in position, counting the 1…2…3.

Wood: Soul Crusher retains the TV title here on Hardcore Saturday Night, but not without a little help from Joker and the CWO. I can’t help but wonder if there is some kind of association between Joker and Soul Crusher, considering that Crusher’s first attack on George took place during a tag team title match and now, tonight, Joker and the CWO provided Crusher an assist that may have lead to Crusher retaining the TV title.

Brewer: I think you’re reading too much into this, Wood. Remember, Soul Crusher calls himself the “gun for hire”, not the “gun for volunteering”. I know from experience that Crusher’s services come at a high price, and I don’t think all the empties in Philadelphia would be enough to have paid him off. I think it has to be an issue between The Family and the camp of Korso and George.

Backstage, Hassan Abu Saada is leaving the building after winning his dark match over Perry Sanders before the broadcast went on the air. His group of slaves is leading the way, with the last one holding the exit open for his master. Suddenly, the slave is sent flying and the door slams, nailing Hassan right in the face! The door opens again and in walks Malice with his camera around his neck and a variety of things in hand. With the flash turned on full Malice shot a picture of Hassan, using the blinding effect of the light to daze his rival before nailing him over the head with a pipe! He then cuffed Hassan to a railing and painted his face with black lipstick before the slaves could break back in to chase Malice away.

Wood: It looks like things are really heating up between Malice and Hassan Abu Saada! Those two are scheduled to meet in the first ever Tomb Match at Moonlight, a match that will be broadcast live via satellite from a pyramid in Egypt. It’ll be the wee morning hours over there by the time the match begins, but that won’t stop these two from tearing into each other I’m sure. Speaking of tearing into each other, Masked Menace X and Wolverine are two men with a very interesting past. Their feud, which began in early 1999 in the ECWA, came to the MMP several months ago. After a back and forth series of matches, the two formed a brief alliance in the Legion of Heroes, but now, with that association having down the tubes, they are bitter enemies once again. Tonight in Orlando they hope to settle it once and for all. Let’s go to the ring.

MASKED MENACE X vs. WOLVERINE

”My Hero” played over the loudspeaker, but the music quickly faded into Marilyn Manson’s “Beautiful People”. Masked Menace X was followed closely by Mini Menace and was carrying a microphone in his hand, but before he could even get to the ring, a man dressed all in black came running out and nailed MMX across the back with a 2x4! Many people in attendance recognized this as the same man in black that had been providing backup for Wolverine earlier in the year. MMX went down in a heap and the disguised man grabbed Mini Menace, taking off for the dressing room with the midget as Wolverine came down the aisle to pick up on the assist. Grabbing MMX, Wolverine dragged him back towards the entrance way and slammed him twice into the concrete arena wall before taking him down towards the ring. After a couple of shots against the rail Wolverine rolled MMX into the ring, mounting his opponent and using his bare hands to choke him out. The referee had to step in and pull Wolverine off, giving MMX a chance to roll to the corner and catch a breather. Wolverine, however, did not let up and moved in right away. MMX caught him coming in with a thumb to the eye, giving him a chance to turn the tide of the match. Scooping Wolverine up, MMX delivered a big bodyslam before applying a rear chinlock, wearing Wolverine down while giving himself a chance to catch his breath. MMX leaned forward, putting the maximum pressure on Wolverine’s head and neck, but even so Wolverine managed to mount a comeback. Using the cheers of the fans to motivate him onward, Wolverine slowly started back to his feet, driving a series of three elbows into his opponent’s midsection to break the hold and then tossing him off the ropes. As MMX came back, Wolverine caught him with a big running clothesline that sent MMX tumbling through the ropes and out to the floor where Wolverine continued his offense. He clasped MMX in a bearhug on the floor, but MMX delivered a headbutt before dropping to his knees and catching Wolverine with a low blow, buying himself another opening. MMX then grabbed Wolverine and nailed a backbreaker before taking him over and slamming him face first into the announce table. MMX then spotted a rather heavy man in the front row wearing one of the new Wolverine t-shirts. The former TV champ stopped for a moment to ridicule the man about his weight before taking Wolverine and rolling him back into the ring. MMX raised his arms in triumph, much to the dislike of the sold out Orlando crowd. He turned back to Wolverine, but was caught with a kick to the midsection by Wolverine who then bounced off the ropes and went for an ax kick. MMX, however, saw the move coming and pulled the referee in front of him, letting the official take the blow and causing Wolverine to injure his leg from the awkwardness of the referee blocking the kick. Clutching his hamstring muscle in pain, Wolverine lay prone on the canvas as MMX rolled out and grabbed a steel chair. MMX slowly got back in the ring and went to jam the chair into Wolverine’s leg, but the former Michigan Outlaw used his other leg to shrug MMX off, sending him hard into the turnbuckle and causing him to drop the chair. Wolverine then pulled himself up and grabbed MMX in a waistlock and nailed him with a series of three rolling German suplexes. Then, with the crowd cheering him on, Wolverine delivered a fourth suplex, this time dropping the back of MMX’s head right on the steel chair! Wolverine held the move in a bridge, but the referee was slow to come around. When the official finally got back into it he started to count, but in the meantime a second referee came bolting down to the ring. Both officials counted simultaneously the 1…2…3!! The second referee called for the bell and signalled that Wolverine was the winner, but the original ref raised the hand of Masked Menace X. After extensive debate the referees ruled that the match would be declared a draw, an announcement that caused the fans to litter the ring with beverage cups and popcorn bags in displeasure.

Wood: What the…a draw?! The fans here can’t be too happy with that.

Brewer: You know what, that’s exactly what happens when you get overzealous referees who are dying to get in the spotlight. You see it with umpires in Major League Baseball, and you’ve seen it here tonight in the MMP. The referee assigned should have the final word. Unfortunately that’s not what happened here tonight.

Wood: It looks like this feud is going to continue, as I’m sure neither MMX nor Wolverine wants to leave things up in the air like we saw here tonight. Coming up next we have the third and final Hall of Fame Tournament qualifying match featuring two of the biggest names the MMP has seen in it’s long history. Aries, a member of the Hall of Fame and a former two-time world champion, and Daark, the current universal champion, have met once before in the MMP with Daark, then known as Clay Moore, coming out victorious. These two men, however, know each other very well, going all the way back to the GWF. The winner will advance to meet The Destroyer in a couple of weeks on SNS.

Hall of Fame Tournament Qualifying Match
DAARK vs. ARIES

Aries made his way out first, but Daark didn’t want to wait for him to get to the ring to start the match. With the big man slowly coming down the aisle, Daark ran out and delivered a vicious chop block to Aries’ injured leg, but while Aries slowed only slightly, Daark collapsed to the floor, clutching his shoulder in excruciating pain. Reaching down, Aries unhooked his brace to reveal that the support had been lined with lead! He delivered a blow with the brace to the back of Daark’s head before grabbing the universal champion and tossing him into the ring. Daark was in rough shape to start the match and Aries took full advantage, whipping him hard into the turnbuckle before tossing him through the ropes and back out to the floor. Aries, in as good form as he had been in in quite some time, grabbed a television cable and used it to choke the universal champion. The referee jumped down and admonished Aries, convincing him to break the hold and get the match back in the ring. Aries surprisingly agreed and rolled Daark in, grabbing a steel chair before following. The delay, however, gave Daark an opening that he so desperately needed. As Aries stepped back between the ropes he was caught by surprise by a flying forearm, a desperation attack from Daark. Both men were down and the referee began to count, drawing a loud chorus of boos from the crowd, which was still angry with the referees after the decision in the MMX/Wolverine match. Surprisingly, Daark was the first man to his feet. Although he was still favoring his shoulder, Daark managed to catch Aries with a flying crossbody, nearly scoring the pin but Aries was able to escape at two. As the action progressed The Regulator again made his way to the ring, pacing around the squared circle as the match continued. Daark continued his assault, hitting Aries with a quick swinging neckbreaker before pulling the big man up and whipping him into the corner. Aries hit hard, and it looked like his injured leg had given out once again. Seeing Aries’ injury Daark charged in with an avalanche, but the “Beast from Greece” quickly dodged out of the way, showing that his leg was fine, that he had been playing possum in the corner. Daark hit hard against the turnbuckle and Aries capitalized, turning Daark upside down in a tree of woe. He then went over and grabbed the chair that he had brought in earlier and waved it mockingly in Daark’s face. As Daark tried to squirm his way free, Aries wound up the chair like a golf club and nailed Daark square in the face with the steel! The referee quickly stepped in and backed Aries away as he freed Daark from the corner. While Daark struggled to his feet with the aid of the ropes, Aries walked towards the corner and picked up a can of mace. He spun Daark around and sprayed him in the face before picking him up and delivering the Godly Drop! Aries then made the cover and scored the three count to earn a spot in the tournament.

Wood: So Aries earns the final spot in the tournament to be decided tonight, joining Hyoga and Malice in the field of eight that will go to war for a shot at the world championship that is to come this December up in Canada. This sets up a very intriguing first round match pitting Aries against The Destroyer, a match that will truly be a battle of the big men in the first round of the tournament.

Brewer: It looks like Aries has returned to his old form. I can’t remember the last time he was this dominant in a match. Perhaps that bad leg has finally fully healed from his match with Psychotic Sam back in August when he lost the extreme title in New York. Aries and Destroyer should be an outstanding match indeed.

Wood: We’ve got another title match lineup next, this time with the tag team championship set to be decided. Virus Richards and The Joker’s Child, still undefeated as a team, are set to put the belts on the line against the returning former tag team champions, No Remorse. Can Blitzkrieg and Whiplash make a triumphant return and re-capture the gold? We’ll know the answer to that in only a matter of moments as the belts are on the next!

MMP Tag Team Championship Match
UPSTANDING CITIZENS (C) vs. NO REMORSE

While No Remorse was making their way down the aisle, Joker, Ponch, and the CWO attacked, getting the match underway even before the opening bell. As the match came down around the ring, Virus Richards and Michael arrived to get in on the action. Joker nailed Blitz across the back with a chair and kicked him out under the bottom rope while the CWO attacked Whiplash. Virus quickly intervened, however, pushing the CWO aside and working over Whiplash himself. After Virus gave instructions to the CWO, Whiplash shot up and nailed him with a low blow followed by a DDT, driving Virus face first into the canvas. On the outside, Michael was shouting insults at Blitzkrieg, telling him he’d be better off trying to fight disabled people. He delivered a couple of weak kicks to the ribs and walked away celebrating, but Blitz quickly got back to his feet. When Michael turned around he was met with a pipe shot right to the face that knocked Michael clear out. Blitz then grabbed a chair and slid back into the ring coming up behind Joker, who had become embroiled in a shouting argument with an obese fan in the front row. When Joker turned around, he was floored with a chair shot to the forehead. Blitz then pulled Joker up and tossed him off the ropes, catching him with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. The challengers were in complete control early on, but the tide quickly started to change when Virus delivered a double-thumb shot to the throat of Whiplash. He then grabbed ‘Lash and delivered a sidewalk slam, leaving both men down on the canvas catching their breath. Virus got to his feet first but when he turned around he was caught by Blitzkrieg with a Lou Thesz press! Blitz was hammering away on Virus with right hands until Joker, who was just getting back into the match, came up on him from behind and nailed him in the back of the head with his oversized clown shoe. Virus and Joker then double teamed Blitzkrieg with Virus tossing Blitz off the ropes and Joker catching him with a powerslam. Before Blitz could recover, Virus jumped to the top rope and nailed Blitz with a split-legged moonsault. He then made the cover, but Blitz kicked out after two just as Whiplash was pushing a table into the ring. Whiplash approached the champs from behind, but before he could get a shot in, Mr. Beumont jumped into the ring. Beumont’s involvement was short lived, however, because as soon as he got close to Whiplash he was caught with the Sweet Dreams superkick! Beumont did distract Whiplash long enough for the champs to deliver a double clothesline that sent Whiplash down. They then pulled Whiplash up for a double team move, but Blitz shot back up and nailed Joker with a big running lariat that sent both men over the top to the floor. Virus then grabbed the chair that Joker had used earlier and nailed Whiplash in the head before going to the top rope and connecting with a frog splash. Hooking the leg, Virus held Whiplash down for the three count, retaining the titles for the Upstanding Citizens.

Wood: The Upstanding Citizens have retained the titles, putting a bit of a spoiler on No Remorse’s return to action in the MMP.

Brewer: Blitz and Whiplash seemed to have a little bit of ring rust on them. Perhaps they were setting their sights a little too high in trying to unseat the tag team champions on their first night back in action. Their return, however, should help breath some life into the tag team division, which has seen competition decrease significantly over the past few weeks.

Wood: It’s main event time here in Orlando. As the ring crew sets up the flaming apparatus, let’s send you back to the ring for the introductions in our extreme championship match!

MMP Extreme Championship
Inferno Match
THE DESTROYER (C) vs. THE BOOTLEGGER

The Destroyer made his way out first, accompanied by a larger than usual cluster of Cult minions, led by Destroyer’s old tag team partner, Harbinger. He was carrying the extreme championship belt over his shoulder and had a large, heavy sack in his hand. The Bootlegger then headed out. At his side was his O.J. Simpson lookalike, who was dressed in a golf shirt and shorts and who was carrying the golf club Bootlegger used on Destroyer in their last match. As they entered the ring Bootlegger, shedding crocodile tears, requested a mic:

Bootlegger: ".... sniff....BOB, why, man, why must we do this? I brought our mutual golfing buddy, O.J. here to may be, I don't know, jog some sense into you, BOB. And, BOB, if I have to beat your senses back into you, then so be it....that's what I'm going to do. In the meantime, BOB, I hope you don't mind, O.J. will stay out here... to guard against an possible attacks by those Columbians.... ok."

Bootlegger shook O.J.’s hand and sent him to the outside where he remained as the ring burst into flames. The referee called for the bell, and the match was underway. Bootlegger extended his hand in a peace offering, which Destroyer surprisingly accepted. Bootlegger’s look of satisfaction quickly turned to a look of pain as Destroyer squeezed harder and harder, forcing Bootlegger down to one knee. The crowd cheered as Bootlegger squirmed, but Barlotta slowly started back to his feet, fighting against the pain. Once he regained his vertical base, Bootlegger delivered a solid kick to the midsection followed by a DDT, driving Destroyer into the canvas. After shaking his hand to try and get the feeling back, Bootlegger started walking around the ring doing a Frankenstein impression, making a mockery out of his opponent. While Barlotta was preoccupied, however, Destroyer reached over and pulled something out of his bag. When Boot turned around, he was caught with a shot to the face from Destroyer and a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire! Barlotta went down fast as Onyx Cooper made his way out to join the broadcast team. With Bootlegger down, Destroyer went back into his bag, this time pulling out a cinder block. Walking over to Bootlegger, Destroyer dropped the block down on his fallen opponent before pulling him up and slapping on a crushing bearhug. With Bootlegger writhing in excruciating pain, O.J. got as close to the ring as he could without getting burned and tossed the golf club at Destroyer. The club hit Destroyer but ultimately had no effect. The big man dropped Barlotta and turned his attention to O.J., shouting at Bootlegger’s golfing buddy while the Cult followers swarmed around him. Bootlegger started to stir, using the ropes to pull himself back to his feet and nailing Destroyer with a running clothesline to the back of the head. The move sent Destroyer stumbling into the ropes, but the big man held on and kept himself from falling to the outside and into the flames. While Destroyer was reeling, Bootlegger quickly hobbled over and picked up the infamous golf club. As Destroyer turned around, Bootlegger nailed him flush in the kneecap with the club, slowing the big man down and allowing him to bounce off the ropes and connect with a running bulldog. After gloating over his accomplishment for a few moments, Bootlegger pulled Destroyer up and tossed him off the ropes, picking him up for a fallaway slam. This was not a smart move by Barlotta, whose injured back made it near impossible to hold the near 500-pound frame of his opponent up in the air. Destroyer fell down on Bootlegger in a lateral press, crushing the challenger beneath his gurth before going back to his sack and pulling out a cheese grater. Destroyer raked the grater across Bootlegger’s back, and then went back for his cinder block. When he returned, however, he was met with a blow below the belt from Bootlegger and the golf club! Destroyer dropped the cinder block and doubled over in pain as Bootlegger started gloating again, giving O.J. the thumbs-up sign, saying that everything was under the control. Suddenly, out from the dressing room came The Ryno! As he made his way down to ringside he caught the attention of not only the Cult minions and O.J. on the floor, but also Bootlegger in the ring. Ryno got right down to the ring , drawing Bootlegger over by the ropes, screaming at Ryno that this was the main event and that Ryno had no business being out there this late in the show. Meanwhile, behind Bootlegger’s back, Destroyer was getting back to his feet. With Bootlegger distracted, Destroyer grabbed the baseball bat and nailed Bootlegger across the back, sending him towards the ropes. Bootlegger stumbled towards Ryno, who then spit a mouthful of an unidentified liquid into the flames, sending a fireball upward and hitting Bootlegger right in the face!!! Seeing the flame come in contact with Bootlegger, the referee called for the bell, giving Destroyer the win! The ref passed Destroyer the extreme title belt and he was immediately surrounded by the minions in celebration as the screen fades to black.
