MMP HOMICIDAL TENDENCIES
Wednesday, April 26, 2000
Tropicana Field – St. Petersburg, FL
MMP Homicidal Tendencies is on the air! More than 50, 000 fans are
packed into Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida for tonight's colossal PPV event!
Commentators Jerry Wood and Ray Brewer are at ringside.
Wood: Welcome, everyone, to MMP Homicidal Tendencies!! I'm
Jerry Wood alongside Ray Brewer here at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida for
our annual April spectacular. We have a huge double main event lined up for you tonight.
The first part will take place here in the stadium as four of the top tag teams in the MMP
do battle in a three-fall ladder match with the MMP universal, tag team, and television
championships all hanging high above the ring. The first man to climb the ladder will get
his pick of the belts, and we'll do that three times until all the championships have been
claimed. Then, from there it's off to Gene Barlotta's private island for a no
disqualification, falls count anywhere on the island match between the Instruments of
Destruction - The Bootlegger and Inferno - and the Upstanding Citizens - Virus Richards
and The Joker's Child. Both Bootlegger's world title and Richards' extreme title will be at
stake, and if either man is defeated he will lose his belt to the man that beat him. It's going
to be a huge night for the MMP.
Brewer: The midwestern championship will also be decided right here tonight. "Amazing"
Andrew Peters and The Cloaked Shroud will go one-on-one to decide that title, and it's a
struggle between two members of The Cult forced into facing one another since no one
else would sign to face either man at this event as The Cult Master takes on his faithful
follower, Crimson.
Wood: The big one that everyone has been talking about, though, is definitely that four
team ladder match. The implications of that one are huge, and could go a long, long way
in shaping the immediate future of the MMP. We could see three new champions
crowned all in a single match! We kicks things off tonight, though, with a triple threat
falls count anywhere match, with the winner to advance to WrestleFest 2000 with a
guaranteed spot in the extreme championship series. Two former champions are out there
in the form of Psychotic Sam and Masked Man X and a third, Hyoga, is desperately
seeking an opportunity to prove that he is, as he has said, the fastest rising star in the
MMP. Let's go to the ring for our opening bout!
Falls Count Anywhere
Triple Threat
Match
PSYCHOTIC SAM vs. MASKED MAN X vs. HYOGA
Hyoga made his way to the ring first, somewhat surprisingly without
the usual accompaniment of Milov Scorpio's men. The decision to come out solo proved
costly right away, as only moments after Hyoga stepped through the curtain he was caught
from behind by MMX who nailed him over the back of the head with a VCR! The VCR
shattered and pieces went flying everywhere as MMX pulled Hyoga up and dragged him
down towards the ring, rolling him in under the bottom rope as Psychotic Sam, Havoc,
Mike the Giant Retard, and Mr. Beumont came out from the dressing room. The Family
stood in the aisle and watched as Havoc pulled a microphone out from under his
cloak.
Havoc: This is no longer our fight. We dont want this shot so you two it is all
yours.
The quartet turned and walked back to the dressing room, but neither MMX nor Hyoga
seemed to pay any attention to what had been said. MMX was all over Hyoga, nailing the
Swiss star with a clothesline and then mounting his fallen opponent to hammer him with
right hands. He then dumped Hyoga out to the floor where he slammed the man into the
ring steps, pausing only momentarily to absorb the admiration of the fans. MMX then
walked over to the timekeeper's table and grabbed the bell, and waited for Hyoga to turn
around and face him. When Hyoga turned MMX blasted him in the face with the bell,
knocking the man clean out. But MMX wasn't done there. He then went under the ring
and grabbed a fire extinguisher, holding the nozzle out and waiting for Hyoga to get to his
feet. When Hyoga finally got up MMX sprayed him right in the face with the
extinguisher, and then slammed the metal cannister across his head just for good measure.
MMX finally made a cover when Hyoga went down this time, and scored an easy three
count to earn the win.
Wood: Masked Man X is your winner here in our opening contest at
Homicidal Tendencies, and by virtue of that three count over Hyoga he will now go on to
WrestleFest 2000 to be one of three men to challenge for the MMP extreme
championship. MMX is a former titleholder, and will have to be considered one of the
favorites to come away with the title in just over a month's time.
Brewer: Here's something for you to consider though, Wood. When MMX was the
champion, he was Masked MENACE X. He had a much more aggressive personality
back then, something that comes in particularily handy in the garbage wrestling division. I
guess only time will tell, but against a wrestler the calibre of Virus Richards, the last thing
you need is a passive approach.
Wood: Don't forget Ray, by the time this night ends either The Bootlegger or Inferno
could very well be the MMP extreme champion. There's no guarantee that Virus Richards
will still have the belt by the time WrestleFest gets underway on May 30 in Seattle. Our
next, shall I say, event, well, I really don't know what to say about this one. It's Mr.
Beumont taking on Hades next at Homicidal Tendencies!
MR. BEUMONT vs. HADES
Hades came to the ring first, accompanied by Aries and Mr.
Marvellous. Bad Odour Badour then came out, slapping on the end of a garbage can as
Mr. Beumont entered the arena, still wearing his Regulator attire and carrying Loui
Slugger. Behind Beumont was Mike the Giant Retard, who was carrying Harold the Fish.
Beumont got in the ring and walked right up to Hades, screaming "YOU'RE
COPYING ME, SCHMUCK!!" right at his Greek opponent, who responded by
kicking Beumont in the midsection and suplexing him over. Hades made a quick cover
and scored the 1..2...3 and left the ring extremely excited over his most recent victory.
After Hades, Aries, and Marvellous had left Badour and Mike pulled Beumont out of the
ring and helped him to the back. As they were leaving, Welfare William, Hobo Richard,
and China Town Lee came running out and ambushed the group, but Mike simply kept
walking to the back, leaving the five transients slapping at one another the whole way up
the aisle.
Wood: And what a match it was. Hades wins, Mr. Beumont loses.
We've got a big night ahead of us here in St. Petersburg, can we just get on with it
now?
Brewer: For more than a year I tried telling you, Wood, that this Beumont wrestling
nonsense was exactly that...nonsense, but you didn't listen. You insisted that everyone had
a right to come out and test their skills. Whatever happened to that?
Wood: I guess I should have specified that you needed to have skills before you could
come out and test them. My fault for not clarifying I suppose. Anyhow, it's back to the
real matches here at Homicidal Tendencies, and the midwestern championship is about to
be decided. The war of words between Andrew Peters and The Cloaked Shroud has
really picked up as of late, with Shroud's presence in Miami surrounding this whole Elian
Gonzalez situation. Peters has taken exception to Shroud coming to Peters' hometown,
and tonight that war of words spreads into the ring. The midwestern title is on the
line!
MMP Midwestern Championship Match
"AMAZING"
ANDREW PETERS vs. THE CLOAKED SHROUD
The challenger, The Cloaked Shroud, came to the ring first,
accompanied by his valet Lady Enigma. The two mysterious individuals stepped through
the ropes together and waited as "Amazing" Andrew Peters made his way down the aisle.
The champion arrogantly entered the ring and walked right up to the challenger as he
pulled the midwestern title belt off from around his waist. The two combatants stared
each other down in the middle of the ring, but the confrontation was quickly broken up as
Peters reached up and slapped the Shroud hard across the face! Shroud stumbled back
and Peters folded up his belt, slamming it hard into Shroud's midsection before the ref
could call for the bell. The official quickly signalled for the match to get underway as
Peters discarded his belt and robe and began to go to work on his opponent. As Peters
was taking the upper hand, Masked Man X and Mighty Midget came down towards the
ring. The two men were carrying steel chairs, but simply headed over towards the
timekeepers table and sat down to watch the match. Peters dominated the early moments
of the match, taking Shroud down with a Russian legsweep, snapping the back of Shroud's
head off the canvas before mounting the challenger and peppering him with hard right
hands. The champion then went after Shroud's mask, trying desperately to pull the
disguise off of the mysterious challenger, but Shroud was able to fight him off, nailing
Peters with a series of lefts that knocked the man off his perch. Both Shroud and Peters
were quick to their feet but this time it was Shroud getting the first shot in, nailing Peters
with a headbutt that sent the champion reeling back into the corner. A second headbutt
dazed Peters, allowing Shroud to climb the ropes and pound Peters with right hands. The
crowd counted along with each Shroud punch, stopping only once Shroud had connected
with ten shots to the top of the head. The challenger then jumped down from the buckle
and took Peters over with a monkey flip, sending the champ out towards the middle of the
ring. Peters rebounded to his feet, but was more than a little disoriented as he staggered
back towards Shroud, who locked the man in a side headlock. He dragged Peters over
towards the ropes and burned the champion's eyes across the top strand, temporarily
blinding Peters and allowing Shroud to take him over with a German suplex. Peters' title
reign appeared in serious jeopardy, as the tide had clearly swung in favor of The Cloaked
Shroud. Shroud waited for Peters to get to his feet and bounced off the ropes with a
dropkick but Peters, out of desperation, side stepped the assault and swatted Shroud
away, causing Shroud to land hard on the back of his head. Before Shroud could rebound
Peters locked on a rear chinlock, driving his knee hard into Shroud's back as he reared
back on the challenger's head and neck, taking an important few moments to catch a
breather. After a while he pulled Shroud up and whipped him off the ropes, catching the
man coming back with a high knee to the jaw that sent Shroud through the ropes to the
outside. Peters followed the man out, slamming the man into the steps before turning to
argue with MMX and Mighty Midget at ringside, ordering the two men to get away from
his match. He then turned back to Shroud and set him up for a piledriver on the floor, but
the delay allowed Shroud to shake the cobwebs loose, and he countered the move by
backdropping Peters on the concrete floor! He quickly rolled Peters back in the ring,
where he whipped the man off the ropes and went for a spinebuster, but Peters floated
over and instead nailed Shroud with a belly to belly suplex. Peters grabbed the top rope
and was breathing heavily as Shroud pulled himself up, and once the challenger was up
Peters moved in and locked on the Antagonizer...but it was reversed! Shroud grabbed
Peters around the head and delivered the Maelstrom...but Peters hooked the top rope, and
Shroud slammed himself to the canvas while Peters remained standing. Before Shroud
could react Peters rolled him in a small package and, with his feet on the ropes, scored the
three count to retain the midwestern title.
Wood: Andrew Peters is still the midwestern champion, but he barely
escaped with his title reign intact against The Cloaked Shroud. Peters isn't through with
the Shroud, though. The Cloaked Shroud is still guaranteed another title shot coming up
at WrestleFest, and after what happened here tonight, I'm sure the Shroud will be all the
more determined to get his hands on that championship when the MMP celebrates it's
two-year anniversary a little over a month from now.
Brewer: The undefeated streak has also come to an end here tonight, and that's going to
take away a lot of the psychological edge that Shroud had by going into these recent
matches with his opponents knowing that no one had been able to defeat him. We'll see
what effect that has on Shroud this weekend when he takes on Wolverine on Saturday
Night Slams.
Wood: We take you now to a very unusual matchup, though a match that we have seen on
more than one occasion in the past. The Cult Master will take on Crimson in our next
bout, and this is the first time I can remember when a member of The Cult has, for
whatever reason, actually challenged their leader. This comes about as a result of no one
in the dressing room accepting the challenge of either man, but it still marks a first in the
history of The Cult. Can The Cult survive such an internal struggle? I have a feeling this
could be a huge event, one that could have the entire future of The Cult hanging in the
balance.
THE CULT MASTER vs. CRIMSON
The two participants each came to the ring alone, implicitly promising
one another a clean fight between leader and loyal follower. Before the bell rang to open
the match, The Cult Master requested a microphone:
Cult Master: Crimson, 'tis truly a pity that we sould meet in combat. The mortals in
this realm were too afraid to meet us in battle! So our Holy Crusade brings us to a battle
with each other, and may our conflict not tear The Cult apart!
Crimson nodded his head in agreement with The Cult Master's words, and even walked
over and kissed his leader's boot as Cult Master set the microphone down. He then got to
his feet, extended his arms, and offered Cult Master the chance to get the first shot in.
Cult Master nodded in acknowledgement of his follower's gesture, and drove a knee hard
into Crimson's midsection, sending Crimson stumbling back into the ropes. Cult Master
then whipped Crimson off the far side and nailed the man with a running clothesline,
nearly taking Crimson's head off. He then pulled Crimson to his feet, but Crimson got in a
quick headbutt, bringing Cult Master's offense to a screeching halt. A rake of the face by
Crimson temporarily blinded Cult Master, allowing Crimson to send the man into the
ropes. He caught Cult Master coming back in with a boot to the midsection, and then
delivered a swinging neckbreaker. With Cult Master on the canvas Crimson went to work
on his leader's lower back, driving repeated knees hard into the spine before shifting his
attack to the legs and applying a single leg grapevine. Cult Master used his height to his
advantage and managed to reach out and grab the ropes, and showing his respect and
admiration for his opponent, Crimson released the hold immediately. Crimson got up and
pulled Cult Master to his feet, but Cult Master stopped him in his tracks with a kick to the
body. He then hooked Crimson and took him over with a snap suplex, maintaining
contact and allowing him to take Crimson over immediately after with a second such
suplex. Realizing the tough fight his follower was giving him, Cult Master made sure to
stick on Crimson and pulled the man up for a piledriver. Crimson, though, blocked the
move and backdropped Cult Master over as a counter. On the way down, Cult Master's
foot caught the referee in the side of the head, knocking official down as Cult Master hit
the canvas. All three men in the ring - the two wrestlers and the referee - were down,
when the fans along the aisle got to their feet at the sight of someone coming down the
aisle. The man ran towards the ring and slid into the ring. It was Lord Daark!!!! As Cult
Master and Crimson turned to see who the intruder was they both stopped, looking on in
awe at the return of their fellow Cult member. Daark wore a dark cloak that covered
most of his body, but both Cult Master and Crimson clearly recognized the man's identity.
He walked over to Cult Master and embraced his leader, who was overjoyed to see the
return of the former world champion. He then turned towards Crimson, but rather than
embracing the man Daark nailed Crimson with a superkick!! Crimson's head snapped
back and he hit the canvas hard while Daark helped the official to his feet. The Cult
Master looked at Daark with a confused expression, but after a moment he pulled Crimson
over to the corner, set the man on the top rope, and delivered the Final Prayer. The
referee, with the aid of Daark, was finally coming around as Cult Master made the cover.
He slumped over towards the pin attempt and made a somewhat slow 1...2...3 count to
give the victory to The Cult Master.
Wood: The Cult Master is your winner in our battle of Cult members,
but the big story here is the return of Daark to the MMP ring! I don't think either The
Cult Master or Crimson ever expected to see this, but yes it is true. Daark, the former
MMP world champion and the only man to ever bring that championship to The Cult, is
back!!
Brewer: This certainly is big news, especially with WrestleFest 2000 coming up in a little
over a month's time. This is a man who could be a contender for any of the championships
that will be up for grabs, but if I remember Daark I'm sure he'll be looking straight at Gene
Barlotta wanting a shot at regaining that world title.
Wood: Those two men have met several times in the past, and in fact they did meet at
WrestleFest a year ago when The Bootlegger was the holder of the universal title. I
would expect that a showdown between Bootlegger and Daark will not be far away. We
bring you now to the first of our two main events here at Homicidal Tendencies. The
feature bout here at Tropicana Field is the four-way, three-fall ladder match for the MMP
universal, tag team, and television championships. Harbinger, The Destroyer, The
Congregation, Benjamin Childs, Death, Wolverine, and George Achica are all set to do
battle although one man, as we will show you now, was looking to get a piece of the
action earlier today out in the parking lot. Let's take you to the footage.
The footage is of early in the afternoon, outside Tropicana Field. A
car pulls up, and out of the vehicle steps Masked Man X. Almost immediately a homeless
man walks up to MMX and holds out a tin can, asking the MMP's resident hero if he can
spare some change. While MMX searched through his pockets, the homeless man pulled
a baseball bat out from under his shaggy coat and nailed MMX in the midsection. The
man then slammed MMX head first into the side of the car. As he walked away, the
homeless man tossed aside his disguise, revealing Death as the true assailant.
Wood: Looks like Death wanted to get a little warmup in before
participating in what should be an incredibly gruelling matchup, although MMX still
managed to pull out a victory here tonight despite Death's assault. You can see the half
dozen ladders set up all around the ring, so let's send you to our ring announcer who will
introduce the participants in what should be a classic match.
MMP Universal Championship/MMP Tag Team
Championship/MMP Television Championship
Four-Way Three-Fall Ladder
Match
BENJAMIN CHILDS & GEORGE ACHICA vs. DEATH & WOLVERINE
vs. HARBINGER & THE DESTROYER vs. THE
CONGREGATION
With three belts hanging above the ring and six ladders set up inside
and outside the ring, the crowd was in a frenzy as The Congregation's music played over
the loudspeaker. The Ryno and Masochrist were the first men to be introduced, and each
man was carrying a ladder as he came down the aisle, making a total of eight ladders down
around the ring. The two men were followed by one half of the MMP tag team
champions, Death, and then the team of Benjamin Childs and George Achica. Childs set
up a table outside the ring as is his tradition while Harbinger and The Destroyer were
being introduced. As the duo from The Cult came down the aisle, Wolverine came
running out from the dressing room and nailed Destroyer across the back with a steel
chair! That prompted the ref to call for the bell, and the match was underway!! Ryno and
Masochrist targetted Death right away, and with each man holding one end of the same
ladder they charged and clotheslined Death, the ladder catching the tag champ right in the
jaw. They continued right over Death into George Achica, nailing the big Samoan in the
back and dropping him to the canvas. Out on the floor Wolverine nailed Harbinger with
the chair and then nailed Destroyer again before dragging the former multiple time
extreme champion down to the ring and shoving him in under the bottom rope. Destroyer
slowly struggled to his feet as Wolverine slid in, and the "Michigan Outlaw" went right
after the big man with a series of hard thrusts to the eyes and the throat. On the other side
of the ring Benjamin Childs had gotten ahold of Ryno and the two former Untouchables
allies traded right hands back and forth while Masochrist, with ladder in hand, climbed to
the top rope. Maso jumped off as soon as Death had gotten to his feet, slamming the
ladder down across the top of the man's head and driving Death back down to the canvas.
As soon as Maso dropped the ladder, though, he was met by a thunderous headbutt from
George Achica, as the "Samoan Assassin" was out for revenge after The Congregation's
earlier assault. A running lariat from George took Maso off his feet, while Harbinger, the
only man not to have been significantly involved in the match, watched on from the floor.
In the ring Harbinger's partner, The Destroyer, was fighting back against Wolverine,
hammering the tag champ with a series of right hands and dumping him out to the floor
before turning his attention to George Achica. Destroyer nailed George with a forearm to
the back, while on the other side of the ring The Ryno clotheslined Benjamin Childs over
the top rope to the floor. Ryno grabbed one of the ladders and set it on the canvas, near
the ropes where Childs had gone out. He then ran towards the ladder and nailed a
baseball slide that would have sent the ladder into Childs' face, but the universal champion
stepped out of the way. While Ryno slid out under the bottom rope Childs grabbed a
chair, which he slammed over Ryno's head, knocking Ryno hard to the floor, right on top
of the ladder. Around on the other side Wolverine was pulling himself up and started back
into the ring, but Harbinger finally asserted himself in the action by pulling Wolverine back
out and slamming him into the steel steps before crawling under the ring. On the inside
Death was getting his second wind and he folded up one of the ladders, which the then
used as a battering ram to hit the gigantic Destroyer right in the small of the back at the
same time that Masochrist whipped George across the ring and floored him with a big
boot to the face. Maso then set up another ladder in the middle of the ring, and made the
first attempt to climb up and grab one of the championship belts. Before he got too far up
towards the gold, Death rushed over and tipped the ladder over, sending Masochrist flying
over the top rope, all the way out to the floor. The ladder hit the top rope and bounced
back into place, much to the delight of Death, who started to climb the ladder. He barely
got off the ground, though, before George grabbed the man and lifted him in a gorilla
press slam. Before George could slam him down Destroyer was back to his feet and
nailed George with a running knee to the back, sending both Death and George out of the
ring and down to the floor, near where Ryno, Childs, Masochrist, and Wolverine were
battling. Destroyer followed them out, and a huge brawl was in process on the arena
floor! Every man in the match was involved, except for Harbinger. Harbinger quietly
crawled out from under the ring on the other side and shot back into the ring. He
immediately started climbing the ladder and, with everyone else out on the floor, there was
no one to stop him from reaching his goal. Harbinger reached up and grabbed onto his
coveted tag team championship belt with both hands, unlatching it from the hook and
giving himself and The Destroyer their third reign as tag champs! There was no bell and
no break in the action as the first fall ended and the second fall began. Benjamin Childs
was the first man back into the ring, and he was met immediately with a shot to the head
from Harbinger diving off the top of the ladder and slamming the belt into the man's skull.
Childs went down hard and Harbinger, realizing that the action was still on the floor,
started to climb the ladder once again. This time, though, Ryno was able to get back into
the ring before Harbinger got very far. Ryno tipped the ladder over, sending Harbinger
out of the ring before setting up a different ladder under the belts and starting up after the
gold himself. Before he could even finish getting the ladder set up Wolverine was back in
the ring with a steel chair and he dove down with a chop block, driving the end of the
chair into the back of Ryno's leg. In the meantime Ben Childs had followed Harbinger out
to the floor. He grabbed the new co-holder of the tag team championship and nailed him
with a piledriver on the outside. While Wolverine was working over Ryno Death slid back
into the ring and grabbed one of the ladders, which he folded up and slammed it hard into
the back of Wolverine, his now former tag team partner. Wolverine went down hard and
Death slammed the ladder down on top of him. Before Death could follow up, though,
Destroyer was back in the ring and the big man nearly took Death's head off with a
clothesline. On the outside of the ring Masochrist was had gathered a pair of ladders, and
arranged them in a cross formation between the ring and the safety rail. He then grabbed
George Achica, whom he had been battling for the previous few minutes, slammed the
man into the ring post, and then draped him across the two ladders. Maso looked up
towards the top turnbuckle, where he saw Ryno poised for a flying splash. He dove off
and landed fully on top of George. The ladders didn't even budge. The crowd errupted as
Ryno and George collapsed off the ladders, both falling limp to the concrete floor as
Childs left the area and headed back to the dressing room. In the ring Destroyer was
working over Death, but when the big man tried to suplex Death over Death landed on his
feet. Destroyer, startled, turned around and was met with a surprise kick to the
midsection from Death, who then DDT'd the big man down onto a ladder! Death's
offensive spurt was short lived though, as Wolverine quickly nailed him with a forearm to
the side of the head and drove his former partner into a ladder with a face buster.
Masochrist then got back in the ring, carrying a ladder, and slammed it into the back of
Wolverine's head. He then slammed the ladder down into Destroyer before opening the
ladder up and starting to climb. Destroyer, Death, and Wolverine were down on the
canvas, and Ryno and George were just starting to stir on the floor. As Masochrist got
closer to the belts, Childs came back down towards the ring. Now, however, he was
wrapped from head to toe in barbed wire and was carrying a baseball bat wrapped in the
same covering. Masochrist reached up and grabbed the universal championship belt, but
before he could unhook it Childs was in the ring and nailed Maso across the back with the
barbed wire bat! Maso tumbled to the canvas, and Childs started to climb. Ryno slid in
under the bottom rope and tried to get Childs down off the ladder, but George reached in
and grabbed Ryno's ankle, preventing the man from getting to the ladder. Both Death and
Wolverine started to their feet, but they didn't see Childs climbing the ladder before they
spotted one another, and they started brawling amongst themselves, not even realizing that
another title was in jeopardy. Destroyer pulled himself up and grabbed Childs' foot to pull
him off, but it was too late. Childs had unlatched the universal championship belt to retain
his title. Only the TV title remained in the balance as Destroyer released Childs and tipped
the ladder over, sending Childs over the top rope, right through the table that the universal
champ had set up before the match got underway. Childs lay motionless out on the arena
floor as Harbinger finally got back into the match by attacking Ryno, who had finally
shaken George, from behind. A dropkick from the new tag champ sent Ryno over the top
rope to the outside. George crawled into the ring as Wolverine nailed Death with a low
blow. Wolverine dragged Death over to where one of the discarded chairs sat flat on the
canvas and nailed his former partner with the Michigan Spike right on the steel! On the
other side of the ring The Destroyer was battling Masochrist, nailing the Congregation
member with a suplex. He then delivered a big splash, crushing Masochrist beneath his
near 500-pound frame. Wolverine went to pull Death up again but he was stopped by
George Achica, who nailed Wolverine with a headbutt and whipped him across the ring
into the corner. He followed Wolverine in with an avalanche, smothering Wolverine
beneath the Samoan's massive gurth. As George turned around he was caught with a
clothesline from Destroyer, slowly sending the Samoan over the top rope to the outside
where he picked up his battle with Ryno. While the fight ensued on the outside,
Wolverine was getting a second wind and started to set up a ladder. Once it was in
position he started to climb, but it wasn't long before Death was up as well, climbing the
same ladder on the opposite side as his former tag championship partner. Wolverine
reached up and grabbed the TV title belt, but before he could unhook it a shot to the chest
from Death caused him to lose his grip. A hard right hand from Death nearly sent
Wolverine off the ladder, but it did daze him long enough for Death to hook Wolverine in
a suplex and take him off the ladder, sending both men crashing down to the canvas!! On
the floor Ryno was working over both Harbinger and Childs, the latter of whom was still
wrapped completely in barbed wire. He stacked the two men one on top of the other on
top of the announcers' table, and started to climb a ladder that was set on the floor. He
dove off the ladder with another flying splash, this time sending Childs and Harbinger
through the table, piercing both Childs and Harbinger all over their bodies with the barbed
wire. Surprisingly enough Ryno was the first man to his feet, but he was caught right
away by George Achica, who slammed Ryno into the safety rail. In the ring Masochrist
set up another ladder, and started up after the one remaining championship belt, the MMP
TV title. Death and Wolverine were still down from the superplex off the ladder, and
there was carnage everywhere on the outside of the ring. The one man Maso didn't
account for, though, was Destroyer. Just was Maso was about to grab the belt the
defending TV champion reached up and grabbed the man, taking him down off the ladder
with a powerbomb, right on top of Wolverine! Destroyer then started to climb the ladder,
and given his seven-foot-plus frame he was able to reach the belt from a couple of rungs
down from the top. George Achica slid back into the ring, but not before Destroyer
grabbed the TV strap off the hook. The bell finally sounded, and the match was over.
Destroyer fell off the ladder and slumped back against the ropes clutching the belt just as
George got ahold of the ladder. The sold out crowd of more than 50, 000 fans got to
their feet and gave the eight participants a standing ovation as they slowly started to make
their way back to the dressing room.
Wood: WHAT A MATCH!!! I have never seen anything like that in
all my years covering professional wrestling. Those eight men all got a standing ovation
for their effort hear tonight, and I'll be the first to say that they deserve every bit of
it.
Brewer: Gotta agree with that, Wood. You know I'm not a big fan of a lot of the guys
who were out here, but a show like that comes about once in a lifetime. They all put their
best effort forward. Some were rewarded, some were not, but that's the way things go in
this business sometimes. Guys like Death, Wolverine, and The Congregation will have to
get over it quickly if they're going to stay in the title hunt.
Wood: So to recap, both Benjamin Childs and The Destroyer retained their respective
singles titles, with Harbinger and Destroyer also capturing the tag team championship for
the third time in their MMP career. This has to be the early favorite for match of the year
in the MMP, and we have seen some great ones over the past couple of months. We may
have another contender up next in our main event here tonight. The second dangerous
game match, a no holds barred match on The Bootlegger's private island, between the
Instruments of Destruction and the Upstanding Citizens with Bootlegger's world title and
Virus Richards' extreme title both up for grabs. We send you now, via satellite, to
Bootlegger's island for our feature bout!
Dangerous Game Match
INSTRUMENTS OF
DESTRUCTION vs. VIRUS RICHARDS & THE JOKER'S CHILD
The scene shifted to The Bootlegger's private island, and almost
immediately a black helicopter arrived on the scene, carrying The Bootlegger and Inferno
inside. Bootlegger was wearing his riot gear and carrying a baseball bat. Inferno had a
bent metal pipe as the chopper set down and the two men disembarked, looking around
uncertainly as their opponents were nowhere to be found. Moments later a boat pulled up
on the shore, carrying The Joker's Child, Ponch, and members of the CWO. As soon as it
arrived Welfare William and Hobo Richard jumped off, complaining to Joker that they had
to go to the washroom. Joker quickly ushered them off into the jungle, and the hobos
took off running in amongst the vegetation. Just then a speedboat pulled up alongside
Joker's boat. By some identifying marks on the side it could be identified as the same boat
that Virus Richards had taken to the shipwreck match at Homicidal Tendencies 1999
where he defeated Captain Patrick O'Conner. Before Virus could get onto the island,
though, Bootlegger and Inferno got the match started by attacking Joker's Child. They
pounded him into the ground with their weapons before picking the man up and delivering
a punishing dual powerbomb right on the dirt. Virus, wearing a Philadelphia Flyers
hockey sweater, cut in to make the save, smashing Inferno across the back with a hockey
stick, which shattered into two pieces immediately upon impact. He then started choking
Inferno with the upper shaft of the stick but Bootlegger quickly stepped in, pulling Virus
off of his partner and slamming him head first into a tree. The world champion started
laughing as he pulled Virus to his feet and caught him with a thumb to the eye. Inferno
slowly pulled himself up, and once he was back to his feet Bootlegger whipped Virus into
the big man, who knocked the extreme champion down with a big boot to the face. The
two men then went to work on Virus, but Joker was starting to come around. He grabbed
the broken blade of Virus' hockey stick and nailed Bootlegger in the back of the head with
it, just as the CWO was emerging from the jungle. The transients all ran over and jumped
on Inferno, distracting the man long enough for Virus to crawl away from the action and
pull himself together. A low blow from Joker doubled Bootlegger over, allowing the
clown to nail the Italian with a DDT that planted him face first into the dirt. Inferno easily
fought off Welfare William and Hobo Richard, but when he turned around he was taken
down by a mafia kick from Richards that caught the big man in the side of the head. Both
Virus and Joker then started dragging their opponents up towards Bootlegger's mansion,
which had a concrete wall errected all around it. As they got nearer to the house
Bootlegger stopped Joker in his tracks with a rake of the face. He then took the man
down with a hard clothesline before going over and delivering a forearm to the back of
Richards' head. Richards released Inferno, who then turned and nailed the extreme champ
with a series of chops across the chest that sent him staggering backwards. Bootlegger
called over to Inferno who, listening to the world champ's instructions, whipped Virus
over to the Italian, who then scooped Virus up and delivered a fallaway slam. With both
Virus and Joker down Bootlegger walked over to the wall around his house and picked up
a very familiar weapon...the taser. Both members of the Instruments of Destruction
started to laugh as Bootlegger held the taser high in the air. Inferno pulled Virus up and
held the man's arms behind his back as Bootlegger let out the biggest laugh of all and
jammed the taser right into...Inferno's collarbone!! Virus quickly escaped as Bootlegger
pressed the taser down even deeper, driving Inferno down to the ground in violent spasms.
Joker came over and stood with his tag team partner, watching on patiently as Bootlegger
finished off his longtime associate. Barlotta then turned to the Upstanding Citizens and
extended his arms, and the three men shared one large embrace right in front of Inferno's
beaten body. Virus took the taser from Bootlegger and the trio shared a joke about
Inferno ruining another main event before sending Joker over to make the cover. The
referee got down to count the 1...2...the count was broken up as Virus came over and
jammed the taser right into his own tag team partner's spine!!! Bootlegger nailed William
and Richard, who were just now coming up to the house, with a double clothesline as
Virus pulled Joker, who was now spasming just like Inferno, off of the pin. With one foot
on Inferno's chest Virus made the cover and, holding the taser high, scored the three count
to win the match for the former team of Virus and Joker. He wasn't done there, though,
as he then went over and made the cover on Joker's Child. The referee wouldn't count,
but Bootlegger was more than happy to oblige, making the 1...2...3 for Virus over his
former partner. Bootlegger unhooked the top of his riot gear and Virus removed his
Flyers jersey, with both men revealing t-shirts that read "Syndicate 2000" across the front.
They shook hands and headed over to Bootlegger's chopper, which the two men climbed
aboard. Then, just as Bootlegger went over to give the pilot his instructions, Virus turned
and jammed the taser right into the back of the world champion!!!! Bootlegger collapsed
to the floor of the helicopter, and Virus quickly rolled him out to the ground. Virus
followed Bootlegger out and, motioning with the taser, counted off all three men before
removing his "Syndicate 2000" shirt to reveal a third shirt, one that read "Nobody F*cks
Me Over" across the front. The extreme champion then walked over, got back on his
boat, and sped away as the screen fades to black.
