Mr. Ketz played first base exclusively for the Quaffers for 21 years before retiring on August 23, 1993. He accumulated 10,074 hits, 8,982 runs, 5,427 home runs, 9,951 RBI, 1,272 base on balls, and 297 stolen bases while batting .952.
The induction ceremony was held on December 19, 1993.All former and current players helped Mr. Ketz celebrate this special occasion.
While his #14 jersey was being unveiled on the "Wall of Fame", Joe Quaff announced: "No Quaffer will ever wear number 14 again." There wasn't a dry eye in the house after that.
It was especially emotional for Kris who said: "Everything I am today I owe to Steve Fanning." Kris played his entire career for Manager Steve Fanning.
Kris Ketz then took on the position of Vice President of Softball Operations. In 1997, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Softball Operations.
